  • Dynamo5
  • Asshole Victim: Zigzagged. The more we learn about Captain Dynamo/William Warner, the more despicable he appear to be. It was revealed in the series that he was a habitual womanizer who cheated on his wife, Maddie Warner, even when it compromised his crime-fighting duties. He also was not above using his shape shifting power to impersonate marry women's husbands in order to sleep with them. Had a affair with one of his enemies, a supervillain named Chrysalis, and had a daughter with her named Cynthia, and lead a second life to help raise her. The worse thing he did was when he father a child with an alien woman that he had met in outer space, after coming to the aid of her malfunctioning starship. When the mother give him the child because she can't rase him herself, he left the infant at a F.L.A.G. research facility, where the child grew up without parents. And when one of the scientists bond with the child and beg Captain Dynamo to free him Captain Dynamo refuse. However his wife Maddie Warner, and best friend Augie Ford still very much respect his memory and miss him despite learning about his faults. And it implied that Captain Dynamo/William Warner truly did love his wife Maddie Warner and his best friend Augie Ford and aside from the cheating and womanizing, he took his crime-fighting duties as protector of Tower City seriously.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Female supervillans Chrysalis and Synergy appear to be close to each other. And Chrysalis claim to have been in love with Captain Dynamo the father of her daughter.
  • It's All My Fault: In Dynamo 5 #17 it is reveled thought Scatterbrain enters Maddie Warner’s unconscious as she lies comatose, that Maddie Warner tends to accept a disproportionate amount of responsibility for various unfortunate events in her life, and harbors guilt over those incidents. Be it when a supervillain escape, when Captain Dynamo is unable to save peoples lives, or her personal relationships like when her relationship with her former fiance Tom fall apart because of her secret life and she could not tell him she a agent of F.L.A.G., a U.S. government organization that deals with threats posed by superhuman beings, though she used the cover of an award-winning investigative journalist. Or when her marriage to Captain Dynamo/William Warner become strain because of his Dynamo's career as a costumed crimefighter often kept him away from home for extended periods of time, and unknown to her Dynamo's absences were partially due to the numerous extramarital affairs that he had. It was in Scatterbrain convincing Warner of her need to move beyond her guilt that Scatterbrain was able to bring her out of the coma.
  • Jealous Parent: Downplayed. According to Scatterbrain (Gage Reinhart) supervillain Chrysalis is afraid that her looks are fading and she can't attract men anymore. He said that she jealous of her daughter Cynthia because of her looks and that she probably can attract men. How every it appear that Chrysalis does not let her jealous effect her relationship with her daughter and they appear to be close.
  • Karmic Death: For years Captain Dynamo/William Warner was a habitual womanizer who cheated on his wife, Maddie Warner, even when it compromised his crime-fighting duties. He also was not above using his shape shifting power to impersonate marry women's husbands in order to sleep with them. So his death of him in bed by being poisoned by the woman he was sleeping with can be seen as his cheating and sleeping around finally caught up to him.

This run-on sentence followed by an empty one would never pass anyone's approval on the Nightmare Fuel cleanup thread, especially when you try to shoehorn the word "unsettling" and nothing else as to why you think it sends shivers down the spine of anyone watching the show. You could try correcting as much as you can, the intent behind your wording makes it clear you don't grasp what constitute a valid NF entry.

Kingdom Hearts 3 - Fridge Brilliance:

  • The Path of Sora's Future Growth:

If Sora is seeing Hercules being prepared to lose his life for Meg, Eugene being ready to sacrifice himself for Rapunzel, and Anna willing to sacrifice herself for Elsa is any indication, it is foreshadowing a critical moment for Sora's growth. When Sora emerges from the Reaper's game victorious, he'll be a wiser, stronger and much more balanced and complete person than ever before, having learned that "With great power comes great responsibility," and the true meaning of being a Keyblade Master. Sora will also know how to be a man who will no longer coax through life and indeed become more active in making a better future, not just for the sake of the worlds, but also for his and Kairi's as well. With their destinies now intertwined, Sora must be willing to commit to her and do a far better job of not dying on her or the countless people he befriended.

I believe the Master of Masters could be an adult version of Sora, twisted by his dark experiences and loss, lacking the current Sora's will and heart because that could be a major wake up call for Sora to commit to his growth for Kairi and everyone he holds dear.

Not only that, this, in turn, will help Kairi grow as well, regarding being a capable young woman, a princess of heart and as a Keyblade Wielder. In a way, she can be just as reckless as Sora, which I feel they need to work on together.

Takeru Homura

Takeru is a 1st year student at Den City high school. In LINK VRAINS he is known as Soulburner and just like his anime counterpart he runs a a Salamangreat deck, an archetype of FIRE Cyberse-Type Monsters focused on a Beatdown strategy.

  • Armor Piercing Slap: Soulburner gives a hilarious one to Igor after she accidentally bite his hand.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: In the anime, Takeru was introduced in season 2. Here, he first appears at the beginning of Chapter 1.
  • Adaptational Dye-Job: In the anime, as Soulburner his scarf is red but orange in the manga.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: Takeru is still polite and cheerful, but unlike his anime counterpart he's a Blood Knight and is obsessed with dueling strong opponents.
  • Adaptational Superpower Change: In the anime, he is Hopeless with Tech and a terrible hacker. In the manga, he is a very skilled hacker and programmer.
  • Blood Knight: Soulburner enjoys dueling against strong opponents and loves when they give him a good challenge to him.
  • He Knows Too Much: After witnessing Specter creating "Judgment Arrows", he was imprisoned and banished from the Cyberse World by the latter so that his plans could continue uninterrupted.
  • Nice Guy: Takeru is kind, polite and selfless who thinks more about his friends well-being.
  • Online Alias: He is known as Soulburner in LINK VRAINS.
  • Undying Loyalty: Just like his anime counterpart, Takeru is very loyal to Yusaku and his Ignis Flame.

Naoki Shima

Naoki is Yusaku's classmate and in LINK VRAINS he is known as Brave Max, and uses a Metal Baboon deck.

  • Adaptational Badass: In the anime, he is a terrible duelist and doesn't know the basic rules of dueling. In the manga, he is shown to be a fairly decent duelist and was extremely close to defeat Blue Angel.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Naoki first started hanging out with Jin in Middle School after some boys stole his stuff toy, and Jin threatened them into giving it back.
  • Book Dumb: His grades are horrible according to Takeru and for the national exam he scored 15 percentile which makes him disqualified to enter university.
  • Fan Boy: Just like the original, Naoki is a crazy fan of Playmaker and Blue Angel.
  • Gonk: Just like his anime counterpart, Naoki has a odd looking design.
  • Nice Guy: Despite Jin being unfriendly and their are rumors about him being a backstage Boss, Naoki has no problem greeting him or trying to invite him to karaoke.
  • Online Alias: He is known as Brave Max in LINK VRAINS.
  • Satellite Character: Subverted. Unlike his anime counterpart, he has more meaningful interactions with Yusaku and Aoi.
  • Stalker with a Crush: Naoki was initially suspected to be Miyu's stalker. It's however subverted in that he's not interested in Miyu, nor is he a stalker as he wanted to approach Aoi but had trouble doing so.
  • Thinks Like a Romance Novel: He sees Aoi's interactions and situations with Jin and Takeru with romantic undertones even though it's only about Jin joining the Duel Club. He's not that far off since everything they do does sound like love problems.

If I took pride in Scarecrow's death, as I'm sure he would have done with mine, I'd be the same masked criminal that he was.
    • Batman who deal with crazy madmen on a daily basics is complete horrified and disgusted with Freddy Krueger crimes when he learn of them. That he was a child murderer who murder and mutilation hundreds of children and his crimes were the most horrible he even heard. When he read a report of a police officer that almost shoot Krueger and his wife ask what stop you, Batman almost agree with her, and when Batman learn how Krueger was burn alive by Springwood residents, he wonder if he would have stood alongside the Springwood residents as they sent this unholy abomination to Hell where he belonged. The only villain that got Batman this angry was the Sewer King and he even admit that The Joker hadn't even displayed the amount of sadism as Fred Krueger.
  • Eviler than Thou:
    • One fascinating truth about Batman and the "villains" inside it is that there really are no bad guys, per say. Yes, there are people who do evil deeds but all of them were also victims of society themselves once, just like Batman. And that's another important connection that links them all together. Freddy Krueger, on the other hand, chose to be evil from the start. And the twisted methods he uses to kill the "villains" of Arkham by targeting their tortured pasts really highlights how human they really are. And when Batman goes up against him, he actually proves to be just as vulnerable as the rest of his victims because of his relatable flaws and fears and the tragic events that molded him into what he was. But then Freddy comes face to face with the Joker.
    • The only villain in the Batman universe that actually deserves the title of "villain" is the Joker. The Joker has no credible backstory, no clear motivation, no reason in his decision making, he is the complete embodiment of pure insanity, which is actually way worse than the embodiment of fear/evil like Freddy. The main difference is, evil is predictable. People who are evil have clear motivations and will stop at nothing to carry them out no matter who or what has to suffer for it. And fear can easily be overcome by a willing victim. But insanity is a whole different story. There is no predictable pattern when it comes to insanity and sometimes not even a motivation. Insanity can sometimes be treated but it can never be fully cured or even completely understood. And this is how the Joker is able to turn the tides against Freddy. With absolutely nothing to exploit from the Joker, Freddy's power of fear and evil is rendered completely useless against the Joker's chaotic, twisted mind.
  • Irony: As Batman noted the Springwood citizens had done the one thing Batman had sworn he would never do and they killed a person who probably deserved it more than anyone he had ever encountered and it had supposedly lead to the same results as the ones that forbade Batman from going to such extreme measures: the creation of an even greater evil.
  • Not So Different: Having been victimized by Freddy Krueger in the past Alice shares the connection of loss with Batman, who also tragically saw the death of the ones closest to him. In the beginning however, Alice actually sides more so with the people considered "villains" in this story, mostly because she almost went down the same path and would have possibly become one of them. At the same time, being among them allowed her to see a more human side to them and she connects with all of them because they too have experienced pain, loss, betrayal, etc. What sets Alice apart from them is that she was actually able to see them, as well as see herself, as all victims of the world. Batman has also come to this conclusion but his method of approach initially comes off as extremely hypocritical to Alice because he seems just as insane as the rest of them and yet he seems to view himself as more noble. In these ways, Alice and Batman are both in the same mind and the opposite mind.

If Sora is seeing Hercules being prepared to lose his life for Meg, Eugene being ready to sacrifice himself for Rapunzel, and Anna willing to sacrifice herself for Elsa is any indication, it is foreshadowing a critical moment for Sora's growth...Sora will also know how to be a man who will no longer coast through life and indeed become more active in making a better future, not just for the sake of the worlds, but also for his and Kairi's as well.

Takeru is a 1st year student at Den City high school. In LINK VRAINS he is known as Soulburner and, <- comma just like his anime counterpart, <- comma he runs a Salamangreat' deck, an archetype of FIRE Cyberse-Type Monsters focused on a Beatdown strategy.

Naoki is Yusaku's classmate. <- period and In LINK VRAINS he is known as Brave Max <- no comma and uses a Metal Baboon deck.

In the manga, he is shown to be a fairly decent duelist and came extremely close to defeating Blue Angel.

Naoki first started hanging out with Jin in middle school after some boys stole his stuffed toy <- no comma and Jin threatened them into giving it back.

His grades are horrible (according to Takeru) and for the national exam he scored 15 percentile, <- comma which disqualifies him from entering university.

Despite Jin being unfriendly and their being rumors about him being a backstage Boss, Naoki has no problem greeting him or trying to invite him to karaoke.

However, it's subverted in that he's not interested in Miyu, nor is he a stalker, <- comma as he wanted to approach Aoi but had trouble doing so.

He sees Aoi's interactions and situations with Jin and Takeru as having romantic undertones, <- comma even though it's only about Jin joining the Duel Club. He's not that far off, <- comma since everything they do does sound like love problems.

Whenever you have extremely long Wall of Text examples that read more like essays, like several of the above, you should follow How to Write an Example - Keep it Brief.

Go through each example and cut it down to what you actually need to say, getting rid of all of the unnecessary opinions and commentary.
