As seen in the Do we have a project to disambig works? Ask The Tropers, there are many works pages that seem to need disambigs, by virtue of sharing names and having no differentiation.
This thread is for the discussion and listing of what to do about such pages.
See here for a list of needed disambigs.
The List
- Film.The Lost World
- Series.Utopia
- Series.Kidnapped (2006 NBC Cop Show) (20 wicks)
- Series.The Street
- VideoGame.Star Wars Battlefront
- VideoGame.Star Wars Battlefront II
- WesternAnimation.Fantasia
- WesternAnimation.Max Steel
Similar Issues
- Then there is pages like The Host which is for the Korean film but has a bunch of wicks referring to the adaptation of The Host.
- Ransom: YMMV.Ransom only has Film entries, but Characters.Ransom is trying to be a disambig to Characters.Ransom Film and Characters.Ransom TV... Trivia.Ransom needs to be split.
- Film.Deadlands is conflicting with the Tabletop Game. Maybe move to its redirect, Film. The Dead Lands?
- Series. The Untouchables: It's holding multiple versions in there...

(US) and (UK)
Now that the current topics seem concluded, what do we move Creator.ABC to? American Broadcasting Company as to not conflict with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ABC_Television_(Australian_TV_network)?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576@Berrenta: Anime.Supernatural is literally an adaptation though, so I don't see an issue aside from the soft-split.
Edited by Amonimus on Aug 29th 2022 at 7:23:28 PM
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWe could go with Anime.Supernatural The Animation if we absolutely have to split it off.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.- Oh, okay? We have Creator.ABC and Music.ABC, though too?
Music is obviously Band, but if we move Creator to an expansion, we don't have to move the Music?

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I lean towards just making ABC (Band). Looks like there's less moving work for the Music/ one.
Just found Sandbox. How To Create A Disambiguation Page again note and after having a look at some Music/ pages in the Ambiguity Index, I think I have a better idea on how to turn Music.Iris into a disambig:
Does this look alright?
Edit: Also, this means the Series/ page and its subpages can left alone for now, right?

Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderNo work should have priority, so all namespaces need to be moved.
But works have priority over companies, usually, so we shouldn't move the ABC band unless we're moving the company.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Double-posting because I just found out Music.Iris is now a disambig.
Since we're gonna move Series.Iris, Main.Iris should be the disambig, with Music being a redirect to it, due to the multiple namespaces at hand, or am I wrong?

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Hm, if the Series/ page is also to be moved, would Series.Iris 2009 suffice?
Thing is, I just checked for more Music/ disambigs and some do have similarly named works of other namespaces in the buttons above the page, but clicking on them shows they are redirects. Some examples being Music.Animals, Music.Evil and Music.Stars (not counting the UsefulNotes/).
Now as for the other Music/ disambigs. I assume existing subpages for Music.Pendulum were made redirects for Pendulum (Band). Music.TNT just flat-out shares the name with Creator.TNT. note
So there's 3 that simply turn the only other work of a different medium to a redirect, so I lean towards just doing that.

Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderMoved to Series.Iris 2009 and a redirect left in its place is fine.
A Main redirect to take over Music wouldn't be much use with only three things to disambig, also.
Lastly, The Great Disambiguation has not been completed, yep, as can be seen in my Sandbox, etc.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Moves and redirects have been made, wicks moved as well. Though I'm not sure if I should touch the wick in CompletedMigrations.Live Action TV.
Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderI move them too, for completeness, and no one's complained yet.
Athena is a slightly complex title? There's the video game, but then:
Series.Athena Goddess Of War and VideoGame.Athena Awakening From The Ordinary Life
And the latter mentions a series just called "Athena". Should we Main disambig due to possible confusion? But the names aren't Exact, so probably not? Just so weird, I wanted to say something, but a "Not related to Athena: Goddess of War, except for how that's one of Classical Mythology Athena's titles", should do.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I think Athena: Goddess of War and Athena: Awakening from the Ordinary Life are distinct enough from VideoGame.Athena.
As for the yet-to-be-made Series/Athena... maybe it can be Series.Athena 1998 when it's made. If the VideoGame/ one is to be moved, maybe VideoGame.Athena 1986 then.
I could go either way with making a Main.Athena disambig.
Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderWell, we're supposed to be reactive, not proactive, so gonna stash that note into the descriptions of the games, and we should be good.
Technically, the Athena video games and stuff could form a Franchise, if we had another Medium to deal with. Video Game, Series, and The Third. Drama CD doesn't seem to be a medium, but it seems we use Audio Play for that?
If a watcher / player / listener ever made those pages, then Franchise a go go!

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Reds needs at least the literature to move, because the Literature.Reds isn't a fanfic and the Film.Reds 1981 is also official...
Should we call Literature "Reds: A Revolutionary Timeline"? Or just Reds 2009?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576It has a subtitle. Might as well use it.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Sorry for the late reply to this topic. I'm honestly not sure about what to call Will Ryan's IRIS myself. I imagine IRIS (Will Ryan) would work best in my opinion, but I honestly cannot say for sure. Though seeing as it's already been called IRIS (UK), I guess we're past that now?

Seraviel's Manager needs to be moved to Manager (Seraviel)
Danganronpa -- Coda also has a disambigation at the start.
Sabotage! (Fanfic) has a disambiguation that repeats the namespace
Edited by Twiddler on Sep 5th 2022 at 3:01:11 AM
:
Manager has too many edits to not mod move.
"Coda (Quassia)" - 15 edits, only one not by Ikeahan.
"The Stranger (HTFan)", - Only 18 edits. Unclear.
"Sabotage (Chaosengine)". - Getting the real history means checking the uncut of Fanfic.Sabotage, and if we're gonna do that, might as well uncut and mod move.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I suppose it's been resolved since the move's been made, so yeah. I'm still learning about disambiguating but consensus seemed to point to making it IRIS (UK).
So I found Webcomic.Faith with a bunch of other namespace buttons to navigate with. However, most of them (ComicBook/, Music/ and VideoGame/) are redirects to more specific/supposedly disambiguated titles. (Those being Faith (Valiant Comics), Faith (George Michael album) and FAITH: The Unholy Trinity).
The others that aren't are Series/, Characters/, Funny/ and Trivia/, all for the Korean Drama series called FAITH.
The YMMV/ page is in an odd spot since it's written like a redirect to the YMMV page for the video game.
So what to do? Is this big enough for a main redirect?

Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderAuto-disambig would handle it, so no? Cutting YMMV.

Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderThis thing is the auto-disambig; the one that says "We don't have an article named NamespaceInWhichNoArticleExists/Faith, exactly. We do have:"

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.
The "Official" isn't in a bracket, it would be Iris Official, not Iris (Official). It's how the official Spotify is titled. But I understand.
How would a split of nationality work then though? Iris (American) and Iris (British)?
Ooh okay. I'll wait for a while to see if if there's any more feedback.
