     Phantom Blood
  • When Twilight first meets Dio, she can already tell that there is something sinister behind his eyes. So, within the first two chapters alone, she decides to not let him have his way around the mansion, wasting no time in using her Stand, Love is in Bloom, to counter his assaults on others; first with Danny, then with Jonathan once they're inside. To say that this is cathartic to see would be an understatement.
  • Along with the above, Twilight's presence alone is enough to completely derail Dio's plans. All those years spent preparing and predicting on how he would become one with the high society life and torment Jonathan, all of that went down the drain as Twilight (in comparison to Jonathan's father) explained and told Jonathan where he went wrong in his studies and how he can improve, ensuring that Dio can't get one up on him.
  • Credit where it's due to Dio, though, as despite his plans being repeatedly shot down, he doesn't immediately start freaking out and maintains his calm demeanor, if for no other reason than because one slip-up, no matter how small, could prove to be his downfall.
  • During one of his school's boxing matches, Jonathan ends up facing Dio, much like in the manga. However, bad news for Dio as he ends up learning very quickly that Twilight had been doing more than just teach Jonathan proper manners. Instead of going straight for the head like he did in canon, Jonathan instead opts for a Victory by Endurance, wearing Dio down by primarily going for body blows. Even though Dio does block the first attack, he ends up getting blindsided by the follow-up, and thanks to Jonathan striking him in his solar plexus, Dio ends up getting stunned long enough to receive the ten count, foiling another one of his plans once again.
  • Despite Dio snapping and trying to attack Twilight after she stopped his attempt to put a wedge between Erina and Jonathan, the incident makes him realize that Twilight possesses a strange ability (her Stand, but he mistakes it for Psychic Powers). This shows that even when he's blinded by rage he can remain quite intelligent.
  • Twilight doesn't just rely on her Stand. When confronting Yun as he makes his attack, Twilight matches his kung fu skill for skill and easily knocks him out.
  • Just as Dio becomes a vampire and tries to kill the police chief, Twilight decides to stop playing coy and unleashes her Stand to save him, giving Enya (and by extension the reader) a good look at its amazing appearance for the first time in the story.
  • Just as Dio starts to unleash a few zombies on the heroes, Twilight reveals something... She's also been taught how to harness Hamon! The reason she doesn't immediately use it to try and take out Dio is because she wasn't sure it could really work on undead beings, and Dio is obviously far more powerful than a few zombies.
  • A Logical Weakness of Twilight's Stand is that she can only reflect attacks that she can see. Enya tries to take advantage of this by using her Stand's illusions to come up behind Twilight. Unfortunately for her, Twilight's Hamon training let's her sense Enya's life force through the illusions and successfully whirl around to block the attack, showing she doesn't rely purely on her Stand.
  • When finishing off Jack the Ripper, Jonathan and Twilight pull off a combined attack inspired by the Dual Heat Attacks of Eyes of Heaven.
  • When Dio calls in Tarkus and Bruford to fight the siblings, it's Twilight that takes on Tarkus. And she gives him the fight of his life, to the point where he considers her a Worthy Opponent and even calls her a true hero.
  • Tonpetty shows why he's a Hamon master by successfully damaging Dio with a tobacco pipe. He tosses it right at the vampire, charged with Hamon, striking one of his eyes and blinding it.
  • Dire finally gets to show how powerful his Thunder Cross Split Attack is when he uses it to completely destroy Wang Chen.
  • After Jonathan succeeds in defeating Dio, the vampire realizes that Jonathan is doing what he did when they were younger, trying to win through endurance. So Dio decides that, rather than gain a new body and try to kill Jonathan at a later date, he'll wait until Jonathan has finally passed away before continuing (at this point he doesn't know that Hamon can extend one's lifespan).

     Battle Tendency
  • Applejack immediately shows herself to be a different sort of person from Twilight. Whereas Twilight was coy about her first on-screen use of her Stand, reflecting its Attack Reflector ability, Applejack showcases To The Core up-front and center, showing herself to be a no-nonsense bruiser who's not afraid to fight for the little guy.
    • Her Stand is good on defense too, easily tanking a blow from a racist mobster and turning his own brass knuckles against him, and later easily deflects Straizo's eye beams.
  • Joseph and Applejack teaming up to deal with Santana when it becomes clear he really is a threat. The result means Joseph doesn't have to get himself partially absorbed in order to blow up Santana from the inside. Instead Applejack makes use of To The Core's physical form (which Santana can't see despite his superior senses) to restrain the Pillar Man and hold his jaw open, letting Joseph launch a Hamon attack through his mouth.
  • Stroheim sacrificing himself to stop Santana after he leaps inside the former's dismembered leg is just as epic as canon, complete with this memorable line.
Stroheim: "Auf wiedersehen, Crazy British Bastard and Southern Belle Bitch!"
  • In canon Santana was technically still alive after being petrified in the sun. Here Joseph and Applejack make sure to finish him off, Applejack crushing Santana's head while he's still petrified. Scratch one Pillar Man.
  • Joseph shows he has far more control over his Hamon than canon when he manages to effortlessly pop Caeser's Hamon bubble seconds after it forms around him.
  • A minor one, but Applejack is able to match Twilight, who is exceptionally intelligent, at a chess game.
  • Young Mark is able to avoid his canon fate thanks to possessing a Stand called Abbey Road, which creates a barrier that can block even the superior senses of the Pillar Men.
  • Joseph and Caeser wind up doing a little better against Wamuu, to the point where he doesn't feel the need to stick Joseph with the poison wedding ring when promising to wait a month as Joseph gets stronger. Too bad Esidisi thought differently...
  • As awesome as it was to see Caeser and Joseph overcome the unexpected trap of the Hell Climb Pillar in canon, it's even more awesome to see them reach the top without setting off any traps, showing just how much more skilled they are with prior training.
  • You'd think Joseph lacking the restrictive mask from canon would make his fight against Esidisi harder, but nope. He's improved so much that he's able to block the Pillar Man's Erratic Blaze King with quick reflexes and his wool cap.
  • When Stroheim unveils his new cyborg body against Kars, it's Applejack who aids him rather than Joseph. And she proves effective enough to not need any sort of sudden cliff dive to keep the stone away from Kars.
  • Caeser this time around fights Wamuu with Applejack's help. Credit to Wamuu, he's able to push Applejack's Stand to its absolute limit, but not enough to knock her out or even kill her. This allows her to pin down Wamuu and keep him from delivering Caeser his canon fate.
  • During the chariot battle against Wamuu, Joseph makes a much more intelligent decision regarding the two crossbows, grabbing the smaller one since it's easier to load and his special trick will work with either crossbow.
  • Just when it looks like Kars has Lisa Lisa on the ropes using a body double (with Joseph too worn out to help), Applejack, Caesar, and even Wamuu offer to step in. Wamuu in particular is enraged at Kars not keeping his word and proving himself to be less than the benevolent master he originally thought.
  • A minor case for the end... Jonathan has just used the arrow to give himself a Stand, several decades after the main story. Guess who's joining the Stardust Crusaders?

     Steel Ball Run
  • Sadao may be a jazz musician, but he still has a samurai's spirit that flows through his bloodline. That plus his Stand allows him to make quick work of a group of mafia thugs in the story's first chapter.
  • The team starts their strategizing even before the race even starts. James and Sunset have a good idea of the race's length, and Rudy is able to give a logical estimate of how many other Stand users they might be up against.
  • Already the main villain of the story, Mario DeBorne, makes a good first impression. Not even the readers know who he is at the beginning, yet he makes it clear that his Stand is powerful, compressing time so that the initial race is clogged with traffic and police.
  • Team Kujo really starts to showcase their powers early. While the rival Stand users in the race aren't exactly powerhouses, the added element of the motorcycles they're riding on causes the team to try lateral thinking. And in many cases they find the best solution is to just take out the bikes.
  • The first real battle comes in the form of Jack Pico, a bounty hunter looking for extra cash since bounties are hitting a dry spell. He thinks he gets in a quick victory over Sunset, only to find her Stand gives her a potent Healing Factor, letting her take the win and the first steel ball.
  • Sadao finds his major opponent while in Las Vegas. A punk named Bobby Zoda who tries to use his Stand to push himself to fight further by accelerating his body's production of adrenaline. So Sadao decides to paralyze him by severing just enough of his spine to keep him from moving, but not enough to cripple him for life.
  • James gets his turn next as the team hits Colorado, handling Leon Junior. Despite getting a big bite from Leon's Stand, a humanoid anglerfish named Space Angler, he still manages to easily overpower his foe.
  • Radamas shows he's just as strong as his brother, Muhammed Avdol, using his Stand to deal with Buck Chain after the bruiser manages to recover from getting wiped out just earlier in the race.
  • Ryusei gets his chance to shine fighting against Draq Byron, whose Stand can summon storms of varying sizes and intensity. Despite claiming his partner is stronger, Draq ultimately gives the better fight, though Ryusei proves to be more than a match for him.
  • The next team member to get a major battle is Antoinette. She shows just how effective her training with Polnareff is when she manages to completely decimate the mob thug Alan Genie.
  • Rudy isn't just some random homeless person who happens to have a Stand. He's a veteran soldier from both World War II and Vietnam, and he proves it when he goes up against the cocky mob enforcer Dai Busch.
  • Sanji follows up dealing with Dai's brother, PJ Busch. PJ's Groovy Taxi is similar to Sanji's Reverse Rebirth, but ultimately the latter proves stronger and Sanji is able to claim the final steel ball for the team.
  • In typical JoJo Big Bad fashion, DeBorne puts up one heck of a fight. He's close to the finish line, and seems to have taken out a few members of Team Kujo, including Sadao. And then his Stand's time limit runs out, Sadao reveals he, Ryusei, and Sanji are alright, and he gets completely taken down with one strike from Gotta Keep It Real. Thus Team Kujo wins the Steel Ball Run with all eight balls in hand.

     Stardust Crusaders
  • Despite being an introvert, Fluttershy remains unflappable in most situations, showing much more nerve than her canon counterpart.
  • Music in the Trees proves its power when it creates a barrier of solid oak to successfully block Hierophant Green's Emerald Splash ability. Fluttershy is not one to be underestimated.
  • Once Jotaro successfully pulls DIO's spore out of Kakyoin, we get to see our first glimpse of Jonathan's new Stand. Known as Ra, it's a potent Stand with the ability to control sunlight and can even channel Jonathan's Hamon much in the same manner as Joseph's Hermit Purple.
  • The scene where Star Platinum first gets its name is even more badass than canon, since Jotaro names his own Stand, rather than Avdol declaring it like in canon.
  • Jonathan might be feeling his age after a hundred years, but that doesn't mean he's lost his edge. He's able to figure out Kakyoin's strategy against Tower of Grey almost as soon as he starts implementing it.
  • For all his incredible power, Avdol is no mere brute who just burns everything he comes across. As he explains to Polnareff, his favorite thing about controlling fire is how easily it can cloud an opponent's vision, showing he can be quite the strategist. Fitting for a fortune teller.
  • When "Captain Tennille" (really the assassin Dragon) tries to play dumb about what a Stand is, Fluttershy points out that the word "stand" is actually quite common. This leaves Jotaro genuinely suspicious, since only someone trying to hide that they're a Stand user would claim not to know what a Stand is.
  • Fluttershy aiding Jotaro against Dragon and his Dark Blue Moon makes the fight easier, using seaweed masks that can process oxygen at a higher rate to make it easier to breath (unlike Dragon who has to hold his breath), and showing that lesser animals like coral can be controlled by Music in the Trees as easily as any plant, using it to pin Dragon in one place and make it easier for Jotaro to target him.
  • It's actually pretty impressive of Forever, a highly intelligent orangutan and Stand user tasked with taking out the Joestar team, to play up the simple animal act even after Fluttershy gives him the ability to speak by invoking You No Take Candle.
  • Fluttershy showing that she's not afraid to take down any foe, even an animal, if it means protecting her loved ones. Check this epic speech as she prepares to lay the smackdown on Forever.
Fluttershy: "I'd like to think I'm friends with all kinds of animals. Thanks to my Stand I can understand them and speak with them. Most turn out to be friendly. But that's because human concepts of good and bad are alien to them. But you? You've gained intelligence equal to a human thanks to becoming a Stand user. So I can no longer consider you just an animal!"
  • Since Stands are made of life energy due to manifesting through willpower, Jonathan is able to track them using Hamon. He puts this to great use when Devo tries using Ebony Devil to blind Jonathan with shampoo while he's tied under the bed.
  • J. Geil may be a talented Stand user and fully capable of learning from his mistakes on the fly, but against two veteran Stand users, that being Polnareff and Kakyoin, he's quickly outsmarted. Polnareff finally gets his revenge, using his Stand to turn J. Geil into a pincushion since it's the one thing he can't trust Hell to do for him. J. Geil winds up hanging from a gate in a pose identical to the tarot card he represents.
  • When dealing with Empress, Fluttershy proves an exceptional aid to Joseph, making sure the insidious Stand can't frame Joseph for murder and cause the team to have to flee India.
  • The battle with Enya actually goes a little differently than canon, largely because Jonathan explained everything he knew about Enya's Stand Justice before splitting off from the group (likely to go pick up Iggy for later). The only thing that catches them off guard is a certain trick of hers she didn't have in Phantom Blood... The ability to control corpses. Even then, Jotaro and Himari are able to keep the horde from injuring them (Fluttershy dealing with the dead baby that injured Jotaro in canon).
  • This time it's Fluttershy who makes the Badass Boast about defeating Enya before she takes another breath. And to Enya's shock... She means it. Music in the Trees defeats Justice by manifesting tons of a seasonal plant that draws in moisture from the air. And fog and mist, of which Justice is made of, are filled with moisture.
  • Hol Horse helps the team deal with Steely Dan twice over. Not only does he keep Joseph from being scammed by the guy, he also makes sure Dan can't hurt himself to harm Joseph (who's been infected by Dan's Stand).
  • After Lovers is kicked out of Joseph's brain, Steely Dan tries to attack Fluttershy next, only for her Stand to be faster and trap the tiny Stand in a Venus flytrap. Cue Dan partially melting from the acid burns.
  • mtnetsurfer tried to do justice to the absolute No-Holds-Barred Beatdown Jotaro delivers Steely Dan, with the ORAs going on for an entire paragraph!
  • Hol Horse is able to help the rest of the team (sans Joseph) deal with Mannish Boy and Death 13 since he knows how the Stand works. And he's the first to remember the dream world since he always falls asleep with Emperor active as a precaution.
  • Midler trying to flirt with Jotaro before killing him proves to be the last straw for Fluttershy, who launches powerful plant-based spears to impale High Priestess' (and by extension, Midler's) cheeks and tongue. It's so violent, Joseph is left stunned.
Jotaro: "Fluttershy's temper is long. But when it goes off, it's like Vesuvius all over again."
  • During the fight with N'Doul, Fluttershy is able to score a critical hit by sucking up some of Geb's watery physical form using plant roots. The resulting bloodloss let's Iggy zero in on N'Doul's location due to smell.
  • Hol Horse proves to be a perfect counter to Mariah and her Stand Bast. Since the psychic bullets of Emperor don't need an iron core for stability and heat resistance, the pure lead they're made of is immune to magnetism.
    • Even better, by this point Hol Horse has learned how to take control of his own life, truly embodying what the Emperor card stands for. This has improved his accuracy with his Stand tremendously, allowing him to effortlessly snipe the severed power cables Mariah tries to use against Joseph and Avdol.
  • The poker game between Daniel and Jotaro is full of awesome moments. Despite Daniel having an insider to deal the cards so that Jotaro only gets a bad hand, it's clear that neither side truly has an advantage. So Jotaro resorts to bluffing and intimidation, letting Daniel know how strong Star Platinum's eyesight is, having said Stand grab items at near lightning speed, and willingly putting up even his own mother's soul as collateral and wagering it against the secret of DIO's Stand. By the end of it, Daniel can't handle the tension and completely breaks down, giving Jotaro the win.
  • Tomomi Shiobana really makes a good first impression, showing herself to be a No-Nonsense Nemesis willing to make practical decisions in her efforts to deal with the Joestar team. This includes getting Boingo's help, since on its own her Stand Nut (which can control wind currents) is outmatched by her enemies and thus she needs an edge. Even then, she ultimately falls flat because fate is in favor of the Joestars and their allies.
  • DIO does not take chances with his ultimate scheme. As much as he wants to defeat the Joestars and remove his ties to their fate, there's no guarantee that he can and he knows it. So he sends DeKurliss off with his diary to Pucci and sets up his remaining servants with the goal of slowing down the team as long as possible to give the insidious fortune teller enough time to leave Egypt. As is always the case, DIO prefers to plan ahead.
  • Thanks to Jonathan's Hamon training, he's able to track the recently vampirized Vanilla Ice and make the fight against him much easier. There are still a lot of close calls, but ultimately the team is able to destroy him without suffering a single casualty. Jonathan even deals the final blow himself, showing he's still a powerful Hamon Master with a full century of experience under his belt.
  • Just as DIO is about to kill Kakyoin like he did in canon, he realizes that Fluttershy is aiding Kakyoin. With her unbreakable Oak Barrier in position and DIO only able to freeze time for five seconds (relative to his perception) he has no alternative but to go for a stun rather than a kill and simple punches the oaken shield hard enough to send the duo flying before getting knocked unconscious. Even then, Fluttershy is able to stay awake long enough to cushion her fall with a bed of vines, preventing fatal injury as she impacts a nearby roof. Kakyoin still slams into a local water tower, but this time without a Torso with a View and merely gets stunned until Joseph arrives to help him.

     A Gentleman, A Thief, A King, and A Hero
  • A minor one for Jonathan in his youth, he had apparently discovered the remains of Camelot, and had even found the scabbard Avalon within it. Quite the find for any Englishman, especially one working in archaeology.
  • Jonathan makes sure to let Kiritsugu know that his worldview is flawed, and that they need to work together if they hope to win the Holy Grail War.
  • All Might's first battle against Archer proves he's equal in might to the King of Heroes. Not only does Gilgamesh compare All Might to Enkidu, he outright decides to retreat without excuses once it's clear the Symbol of Peace isn't letting him get anywhere near Lupin.
  • Lupin's theft of the Laughing Peacock to shake some of the rust off after becoming a Heroic Spirit. Despite some setbacks, such as Evan catching him due to having his ministers hiding in the crowd and Zenigata planting a tracker on the Peacock, Lupin is able to pull the heist off in typical fashion.
  • In canon, Kariya's draining prana due to Berserker and the crest worms eating away at his supply meant he could only use his entomancy for Animal Eye Spy. But All Might doesn't drain his prana like Lancelot did, so he's able to unleash even better magical insects to battle Caster and his abominations.
  • Every JoJo has a reputation for being a Genius Bruiser, and Jonathan is no exception, able to predict the grand scope of Lupin's plan even if he can't pinpoint the tiny details.
  • Lupin may come off as a goofball, but he's the Emperor of Thieves for a reason, as proven in a flashback when the master thief is able to foil an assassination plan of a younger Kiritsugu alongside his mentor Natalia.
  • Even after a decade, Goemon proves he hasn't lost any of his skills, aging like a fine wine while Jigen is later shown to have gone to vinegar.
  • Zenigata is such a skilled detective that he's able to stumble upon the concept of the Holy Grail War just through logical deduction and knowing the movements of several key individuals. A bit of a lucky encounter and he's also able to zero in on Caster and Ryuunosuke's location.
  • The final battle against Caster sees the four heroes just decimating the horde Caster created, each of them contributing with their best abilities. It all culminates in Jonathan using Hamon Hypnosis to make Caster see a vision of Jeanne lambasting him for everything he's done and reminding him that true saviors are rarely appreciated in their time. Though this is just to keep Caster still long enough for Jonathan to destroy him.
    • What's even better is that while Caster's vision of Jeanne is likely the one from Fate/Zero, the fact that this series includes Miraculous Ladybug indicates that might not be the true Joan of Arc (who was a previous Ladybug holder, but actually faked her death in order to be with the man she loved, who happened to be a previous Black Cat holder). Meaning Caster was doing all this for someone who wasn't even the woman he was after.
  • Evan manages to help the team escape Zenigata's dragnet, thus preventing the Grail War from being exposed, by using his Return spell to send them straight to the Fuyuki Grand Hotel where Kayneth and Sola-Ui are staying.
  • Zenigata had been starting to feel his age during the early parts of the story. But once he awakens to his Stand, Badge, his prime returns and he's now able to compete with Lupin on a supernatural level. Their rivalry just got elevated to the next level.
  • Kiritsugu pulling a Big Damn Heroes moment on Kirei of all people, who's getting pushed back by Kayneth. Even better, he introduced himself by berating Kayneth for his use of the term "oriental".
  • After every other bit of disrespect Lancer gets in the war, Archer's "The Reason You Suck" Speech just drives home the point of why.
Archer: "What are you in this war? We have a mighty hero from the future, three legendary kings, myself included, a master thief whose skills surpass all reason, a master of Hamon, and up until recently a conjurer of horrors beyond mortal comprehension. Compared to that, what do you have? Two cursed spears, one of which was stolen, and a cursed mark that can't even affect anyone involved in the war."
  • Just the fact that the appearance of the five main Stardust Crusaders (Jotaro, Fluttershy, Avdol, Kakyoin, and Polnareff) being enough to drive Zouken to retreat shows they've earned their badass credentials during their quest to Egypt to defeat DIO.
  • As it turns out, Zouken's body is VERY susceptible to Hamon, allowing Jonathan to give the dried up wizard a cathartic beatdown as Kirei charges up an exorcism spell to finish him off.
  • Jonathan and Zenigata are able to work together to easily kill the two Eulen Kuken (basically assassins for the Court of Owls) and shut down their explosive devices. Then they scramble to get as much evidence out of the building before the leaders blow it up using remote bombs. After which Zenigata orders for a fire team to be called over to prevent the resulting inferno from spreading too far.
    • During all this, Jonathan is able to negate a single dose of Fraulein Eule and continue the fight, much to his opponent's shock and confusion.
  • The final fight between Archer and All Might. Not only does All Might manage to completely overpower the weapon Enkidu, he's able to finish off Archer once and for all with his United States of Smash. Archer gives a final send off to what he considers a Worthy Opponent.
    Archer: "Let's fight again… In a future war…"
    • Worth mentioning is that because of his status as a Heroic Spirit, One For All is at full power, increased just a little by Mad Enhancement at Rank E (which would still give a power boost, but not at the expense of All Might's sense of reason). So rather than take them both out, United States of Smash becomes a Finishing Move for All Might.
  • When a group of thugs ambush Jigen and Jonathan (they're after the former but the latter happened to be nearby), Jonathan shows just how much he's mastered Hamon when he uses the Life Magnetism Overdrive to redirect bullets en masse.
  • Lupin pulls one over on Pycal, faking both his and Kirei's deaths when the Magician tries to blow up their hideout. This includes taking out two of Pycal's henchmen and disguising them as the Master and Servant duo.
  • A small one for Angra Mainyu, the ultimate Big Bad of the story... Unlike in canon where he got taken out early, here he managed to defeat five enemy Servants in a row during the Third Holy Grail War, only being stopped when the sixth managed to defeat him.
  • Evan remains unimpressed by any of Pycal's tricks, and proceeds to show how flawed they are by slashing through Pycal's hardened second skin (used to stop bullets) with Mornstar. This causes a massive Villainous Breakdown on Pycal's part as he tries to order his men to kill Evan. It doesn't turn out well for them.
  • Credit to Tokiomi. The guy's lost everything but his family at this point, and yet he still decides to take action and defend the city from Pycal just so Aoi and Rin will have a safe place to come back to once the Holy Grail War is over.
  • The battle against Pycal is a surprisingly epic one, from All Might easily dealing with the homunculus Natalia, to Jonathan and Kirei taking out The Brute Boris, to Kariya stopping Pycal's mines using termites of all things. There's even Zenigata seeing through Pycal's illusions thanks to Badge... Without even realizing he had illusions active. In the end Pycal is ended once and for all, no trickery this time, thanks to Kiritsugu pulling off an effective Double Tap.
  • Kayneth may not be the strongest Magus in the Holy Grail War, but he is the most influential. When the Court of Owls threatens the life of his sister in exchange for his Command Seals, he scoffs and shows his arm. To the Owls' shock, it's bare, the Church and Clock Tower having had the foresight to render a new rule that any Master that loses their Servant loses all their Command Seals and can no longer participate in the war. Even better, Kayneth had been sending coded phone calls to the Clock Tower, ensuring that all of the Court's double-agents are purged. It's the first major blow to the Court, and it won't be the last.
  • Kariya's declaration that he'll completely revamp how the Matou Magecraft works, insuring that Zouken's legacy has ended with his death.
  • When the Count, the myterious leader of the Court of Owls, has Iris captive thinking she's the vessel for the Grail (she isn't) Iris basically hears his speech about how good and evil are just words and how heroes only defend the status quo, and then basically goes Silly Rabbit, Cynicism Is for Losers!.
    • Even better, when the Count tries to give her a Bitch Slap to shut her up, she barely flinches. The woman is pure badass. No wonder Kiritsugu fell in love with her.
  • During the battle between Evan and Rider, the King of Conquerers finds his Gordian Wheel taken out of commission, and instead decides to unleash his Ionioi Hetairoi. Evan, however, has an answer to that.
Evan: "You think you're the only king who came here with his army!? Our little banquet should have clued you in! You only brought your army… But I brought my whole kingdom!"
    • Sure enough, his Reality Marble contains the region surrounding Evermore, and from its gates marches every unit Evan has in his army. This is Gameplay and Story Segregation at its finest, as Evan doesn't pick and choose four units to fight Rider... He has the entire army ready to fight as one! His normal adventuring party even gets in on it... Including Roland, who in 1994 wouldn't even be aware of his trip to Ni No Kuni years down the line.
    • The final blow Evan deals to Iskander is one worthy of the King of Conquerers, letting him die honorably in battle rather than suffering a Cruel and Unusual Death via poisoning.
  • The Court of Owls suffers majorly once the four main heroes, Zenigata, and the Stardust Crusaders are able to confront and competely dismantle the Count. Lupin finally unmasks him... To reveal that it's Oscar, a former partner of Zenigata's who was mentioned earlier in the story, having made a Face–Heel Turn and tried his hand at supervillainy. Too bad Lupin and his friends proved effective at tearing apart his script.
  • When Angra Mainyu tries to offer each of the heroes a wish, they quickly figure out that it's just going to be a Deal with the Devil, collectively yell Shut Up, Hannibal!, and deliver an epic beatdown that ends with Jonathan destroying the Idea of Evil with his signature Sunlight Yellow Overdrive.
  • The Distant Finale, which showcases Lupin and his new gang (consisting of Kirei, his daughter Riko, and Kirei's daughter Caren), ready for a brand-new heist. We get some early showcases of new characters from Danganronpa, including Kyoko Kirigiri and Shuichi Saihara. This final episode proves to be epic.
    • Even better, Lupin finds out during the heist that Jonathan did successfully reincarnate as Hope's Peak Academy's Ultimate Adventurer, Rantaro Amami. And he's ready for Round Two with a newly empowered Ra.
    • Throughout all of this, we get introduced to a Last Episode, New Character that is able to deceive even Lupin... Phantom Thief Joker. A Stand using Phantom Thief, Joker proves to have a leg-up on Lupin and the authorities, and even issues a challenge to Lupin for his title of Emperor of Thieves.

     Diamond is Unbreakable
  • When Pinkie says she knows everyone in Morioh, she's not kidding. She actually knows the names and backstories of several background characters that are normally only there for plot reasons.
    • She also casually deflects a group of bullies looking at Koichi like he's lunch meat. Those same bullies try to push around Josuke, only to get their asses handed to them when they press his Berserk Button.
  • During the hostage situation, after Josuke frees the hostage while fusing the hostage-taker's knife in his belly, Pinkie goes to retrieve it, and accidentally winds up pulling out Aqua Necklace in the process. She proceeds to beat the ever-loving crap out of it, forcing it to retreat.
  • After Angelo uses Aqua Necklace to kill Ryohei, Pinkie cuts off the Hannibal Lecture with a preemptive Shut Up, Hannibal!.
Pinkie: "Are you really gonna say something stupid about this being our fault? I mean, all we did was our civic duty. Is that really worth taking your revenge over? It's not like society's gonna let you do as you please. What a cocky killer."
  • Just as Angelo gets sealed in rock and attempts one final hostage situation to try and get Josuke to free him, Pinkie comes through again and swipes the glove holding Aqua Necklace, preventing Angelo's last gambit.
  • Just hearing Pinkie tear into Keicho for his actions, which are more foolish than he believes. Her every thought regarding him is a complete deconstruction of his worldview and it's glorious to hear.
  • Josuke is Beware the Nice Ones at its finest. He lets Okuyasu know that while he won't kill Keicho, he will fuse the guy into his own house if Koichi winds up dead.
  • For all of Keicho's faults, he knows who's truly to blame for his father's mutated condition. After all, Jotaro didn't make DIO implant the man with a spore and then kill DIO to cause the mutation. DIO implanted the spore on his own, and then Jotaro killed DIO for an unrelated reason. Keicho shows surprisingly good judgement in understanding this.
  • Kakyoin not only completely shuts down Tamami, he also makes sure Koichi is well-versed on how to deal with the con man just in case he ever runs into him again. Koichi takes Kakyoin's teachings to heart, fully awakening Echoes much earlier and getting to know its abilities to the point where he too effortlessly shuts down Tamami.
  • When Josuke reports that Hazamada is targeting Jotaro, the copy master learns a hard lesson... Don't mess with Fluttershy's husband. That is unless you like getting choked by plant vines.
  • Akira proves to be smarter than his rockstar appearance would have you believe. He makes great use of his Stand to control vehicles through electrical batteries when the team tries to cut him off from any power source, and even proves capable of making use of Pinkie's toon world.
    • Though this last part comes back to bite him, as Pinkie learns from just one encounter with him how to tune unwanted opponents out of the toon world.
  • With the fanfiction medium, you'd think mtnetsurfer couldn't truly capture Akira's guitar playing. And you'd be right... So mtnetsurfer included a link to a YouTube video featuring said guitar solo. Clearly Akira was not idly boasting when he said he wanted to be the next Jimi Hendrix.
  • With the addition of Pinkie, Josuke and Jotaro have an easier time hunting down "Bug-Eaten" by using a trident formation, making it easier to lure the rat into a position where they can take it out.
  • Pinkie comes up with an ingenius Loophole Abuse for dealing with escaping the Ghost Alley. The rule is that you can't look behind you or the spirits of the alley will drag you to your doom. Keyword... "Look". Pinkie uses her Stand to create special eye covers for herself, Koichi, Rohan, and Yukako, then has Reimi lead them to the end of the alley. It works like a charm.
  • As funny as the fight against Shigechi is after he gets greedy, it's also awesome to see Pinkie show just what happens when you break a Pinkie Promise.
  • It turns out Yoshikage is so Crazy-Prepared, he has a contingency plan on the off-chance he's not able to erase a potential witness with Killer Queen. Credit to this guy, there's a reason he's been an unseen Serial Killer for 15 years.
  • Pinkie's dad deserves a mention. Pinkie noted he was a Green Beret, and did actually manage to shoot Yoshikage (albeit non-fatally) even as Killer Queen was erasing him. Bad. Ass.
  • Just when Yoshikage manages to get a hold of Kosaku Kawajiri... It's revealed that Kakyoin's been busy testing the Stand arrow, and Kosaku was the lucky duck who got a brand spanking new Stand capable of holding the sociopathic killer off. If not for another salaryman nearby, this might have ended Diamond is Unbreakable far earlier.
    • Even better is the reason why. Pinkie was Genre Savvy enough to suspect Akira might have made a fake arrow to throw off investigators, so Kakyion decided to use the arrow's property of seeking out viable people with Stand potential. This led him to Kosaku in the first place.
  • Kosaku is able to pin Yoshihiro's polaroid body in place using Under Pressure, showing just how potent the Stand really is. Even Yoshihiro is shocked that it worked, and Kosaku admitted he was only trying it as an experiment.
  • Of all characters, one never would have expected it to be a much younger Jolyne Kujo who takes on Oyanagi. And curb-stomps him in Janken, even after he understands the concept of Stands.
    • Even better, while Jolyne in this story is portrayed as a Cheerful Child, we still see shades of the sassy young woman she'll become in Stone Ocean, trash-talking Oyanagi into ignoring Rohan in favor of a game with her instead and using Crocodile Tears when he calls shenanigans to make the nearby crowd think he's bullying her.
  • Hayato is able to help his new friend Riku investigate the oddity that his father has become (it's really Yoshikage using his dad's identity), avoiding many of the problems he had in canon.
  • During the fight with Toyohiro, Shigechi manages to get in a nice shot when he uses Harvest to cut the lines to Super Fly (which don't count as part of the tower), declaring that he and the others won't let Josuke get trapped in the Stand.
  • Pinkie using her cartoon shenanigans to counter Terunosuke's fear is both awesome and hilarious. She even deliberately hits him with a blackberry pie, which he especially hates since he dislikes blackberries.
  • Kosaku's Wham Line to Yoshikage following their talk regarding both their sons that makes Yoshikage realize the Morioh crew is closing in on him.
Kosaku: "As long as you're not killing anyone."
  • Pinkie comes up with a Boring, but Practical solution to dealing with Cheap Trick. She first uses her toon world to harmlessly remove her eyes so she can't technically look at Rohan's back, then covers it with a large blanket while covering Rohan's ears with ear plugs. She then guides Rohan all the way to the Ghost Alley. Problem solved.
  • One of the most interesting aspects of Smile's power, is that it can undo and override other Stand powers. While it's unknown if it can work on a Requiem or Heaven Stand, it has been shown to be capable of countering even Bites the Dust, as well as walking through Star Platinum The World's frozen time. One can assume it would even work with Stands like King Crimson or Dark Schneider.
  • It's rather appropriate that it's Pinkie of all people who gets to deal the final blow to Yoshikage, the man who killed her father and traumatized her mother.

     Golden Wind
  • Showing her Zeppeli heritage, Rarity during her backstory is shown to have jumped in the way when a certain arrow was about to hit a sculptor she was visiting. The sculptor's name? Scolippi. With just this one act of heroism, Rarity derailed the entire plot by preventing Rolling Stone from coming into existence, while replacing it with the more powerful and benign Art of the Dress.
  • Rarity's personal Kiai ends with her basically insulting her fallen foe. Upon the final blow she calls out, "Che caro tesoro!" ("How dull, darling!") Rarity seems to have inherited her grandfather Caesar's cockiness.
  • Rarity also has a habit of berating certain characters for their actions, such as Abbacchio's cynicism, Mista's paranoia, and Trish's spoiled nature. Not only does Rarita manage to keep the many disparate personalities together with sheer force of will, she even manages to get them to shape up!
  • mtnetsurfer decided to include a link in the story to the now-famous "torture dance" when Zucchero is being, well, tortured. The scene even includes Rarity holding the fishing rod and sitting like a queen fishing at a lake, with Mista, Narancia, and Fugo as court jesters there to entertain. Yeah, Team Buccellati does not mess around and does not suffer insults lightly.
  • Giorno joins Narancia for the fight against Formaggio, which comes in handy when the gangster tries interrogating the duo by shrinking them and threatening them with a spider. After a quick slip-up on Formaggio's part, Giorno stuns the spider using Gold Experience.
  • Rarity takes on Prosciutto while on the train, and easily leaves him reeling the entire fight. Meanwhile, Pesci tries to find Coco Jumbo, only to get double-teamed by both Buccellati and Giorno. Needless to say, this particular confrontation goes a lot smoother than canon.
  • Giorno and Rarity perform an epic team-up that takes out the homunculus Junior by embedding him with crystals that Gold Experience then turns into a school of piranhas. Chow time!
  • In canon only Giorno and Mista fought Ghiaccio, and the fight was a harrowing one they barely survived. Add Rarity to the mix, and Ghiaccio barely gets in a Curb Stomp Cushion. Even better, Narancia gets to keep his innocence.
  • It turns out Rarity came fully prepared to deal with the boss no matter what Stand power he had, even going so far as to have Giorno use Gold Experience to change Art of the Dress' appearance to match Rarity's. She could have even killed Diavolo right then and there if she really wanted to.
  • When Fugo argues against defecting from Passione, Rarity challenges him to a fight, pointing out that he needs to pick a side or else the boss will pick it for him, likely by turning Fugo against the team. Fugo does win the fight, but is fully able to control Purple Haze in the process, so Rarity gets what she wants too.
  • Thanks to a few lucky coincidences, Tiziano's Talking Head is less effective than canon. He and Squalo wind up completely overwhelmed, especially when Rarity and Narancia track them down and summarily eliminate them.
  • Notorious B.I.G is one of the few enemies to ever truly put Rarity in danger. So it becomes awesome when Trish is able to awaken her Stand and use it to save Rarity's life as the monster rushes at her.
  • It's implied that Fugo was able to successfully kill Notorious B.I.G by launching all six of Purple Haze's virus capsules down its gullet. While the team isn't sure, it's likely too weak to be any sort of threat to anything going forward.
  • Minor moment for DeKurliss, who makes a brief cameo in the story. He not only starts to get Doppio questioning his true relation to Diavolo, but he remains unflappable even when Diavolo is threatening him with death.
  • Rattled by the revelation that he may not be what he seems, Doppio winds up turning into a badass, easily dealing with a crooked taxi driver trying to scam him for more cash and holding his own against Risotto. One could almost wonder what would have happened had he and Diavolo not split into two personalities.
  • Rarity proves to be the perfect counter for Secco, her crystals easily preventing him from properly diving into the ground to ambush her.
  • Once again, mtnetsurfer wanted to do as much justice to Giorno just brutalizing Cioccolata as possible. So the MUDAs wind up taking up an entire page! No-Holds-Barred Beatdown at its finest!
  • Secco manages to reach the man the team is trying to find at the Coliseum... Only to learn it's Polnareff, and he's not the paraplegic he wound up as in canon. Cue epic Curb-Stomp Battle as Polnareff completely decimates Secco and Oasis using Silver Chariot.
  • As most of the team rushes to get the Requiem arrow from Silver Chariot Requiem, Rarity (in Fugo's body) holds off Diavolo (who is inhabiting Mista's body alongside Trish), and Buccellati (in Diavolo's body) tries to convince Doppio (in Buccellati's body) to turn against Diavolo. It ultimately works, as Doppio finds himself able to control King Crimson in full and uses it to free everyone from Silver Chariot Requiem, sacrificing himself to save Trish.
  • Giorno is able to successfully unleash Gold Experience Requiem on Diavolo... And it is glorious! Just seeing the former boss hiding in the shadows, forcibly dragged into the light and exposed for the naked emperor he truly is, Diavolo gets subjected to endless deaths and is forced to realize just how weak he truly was.
  • As shown in the final chapter, Giorno is not idly boasting when he says he intends to revamp Passione. He's already removed all the more unsavory parts of the gang, especially the drug trade, and is in the process of dealing with the last of the narcotics team. He's even tamed Cannolo, who was before pitting various factions of Passione against each other just because he could.
  • Despite a few bumps on the road, Fugo and his team (Rarity, Sheila, and Cannolo) are able to systematically eliminate the four members of the narcotics team. Sheila takes out Vladimir when he makes an error using his Stand, Cannolo Wins by Doing Absolutely Nothing against Vittorio after giving him a single chance to pull a Heel–Face Turn (Vittorio instead killing himself in a futile effort to overcome Cannolo's Stand), Rarity puts Angelica out of her misery, and Fugo settles his long-time rivalry with Massimo in the most epic and brutal fashion possible.

     Stone Ocean
  • Rainbow shows how much of a tough girl she is, not taking even a bit of crap from Gwess. Considering she's descended from Robert E. O. Speedwagon himself, the bloodline certainly shows.
  • Jolyne's greater experience with her Stand (in this series she was born with Stone Free) comes in handy on a number of occasions, as she's far more prepared for almost anything other Stand users can throw at her.
  • At the start of the story, Rainbow only has a dormant Stand. But during the fight with Gwess and Goo Goo Dolls, she's able to unleash its full power. And holy crap does it ever fit her. I'll Fly is capable of fusing with Rainbow to create a flight field that can undo pretty much any power imaginable.
  • Gwess actually goes out of her way to protect Jotaro from Whitesnake. Sure she loses her Stand in the process and goes comatose as a result, but it gives Jotaro the space he needs since he's already heavily damaged Whitesnake by that point, forcing him to retreat.
  • Ryusei rejoins the story, having gotten a job as a prison guard on Funny Valentine's suggestion. And he proves he's even stronger than when he was a teenager several times. He's even able to flex a considerable level of authority to keep Jolyne and crew from getting into more trouble than they deserve.
  • Like Father, Like Daughter, Jolyne and Jotaro easily combine their incredible strength for an epic No-Holds-Barred Beatdown on Johngalli. And they don't hold back, even making sure Johngalli is well-tied up with Jolyne's strings.
  • Atroe pulls off an epic win during the fight with Foo Fighters. She's just a normal human being at this point (albeit she does have Stand potential), yet she's able to defeat a Stand by driving a tractor containing all the Stand discs across a farm, forcing Foo Fighters to chase after her and not stopping for anything while the farmland draws away all the water allowing Foo Fighters to maintain itself. No wonder the girls decided to have her join the team.
  • Rainbow and Wes teaming up to take down Lang Rangler. They do it a lot easier than canon too, especially with Rainbow catching Lang off-guard by actually dropping her flight field to attack more directly, when he was attempting to skim a shot off it to hit the rest of the team.
  • Credit to Viviano, he put up one hell of a fight against Jolyne. If not for his increased aggression due to Survivor and the fact that Planet Waves gave Jolyne a work-around to his exceptional combat abilities, he might have been able to take her out.
  • Rainbow is able to handle Kenzō quite handily, despite his feng shui and Stand allowing him the means to penetrate her flight field to attack. Rainbow reveals that she's actually a Hamon user as well, which lets her completely throw off Kenzō's feng shui.
  • The team starts combining their abilities to successfully shut down Kenzō, ultimately leaving him helpless inside a bucket with his limbs too contorted to continue fighting.
  • Ryusei actually comes up with an ingenious method to draw out Miu Miu and defeat her to convince her to release the team on parole. Rainbow proves especially vital since her Stand can cancel out Miu Miu's Stand ability.
  • Zucchero gets one from before the story even starts. He was onboard the flight that Donatello later unearths using his Stand, and saved multiple people by deflating them and stuffing them and himself into his suitcases. His memory later relays this information to Jolyne and her crew, letting them easily survive despite Under World trying to stop them.
  • Giorno clashes against his half-brother Donatello, who is adamant about keeping to DIO's legacy while Giorno prefers the world as it is. Gold Experience and Under World clash, and the former proves the stronger Stand as Donatello dies from shock due to his overclocked senses coupled with a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown.
  • It's pretty epic to find out, despite everything going against him, Pucci somehow manages to complete the Heaven formula... Only to find an unforseen flaw in the formula leaves Made in Heaven unable to accelerate time for more than five seconds.
  • After Giorno uses Gold Experience Requiem to undo the Heaven formula on Pucci, the entire Stone Ocean crew each takes a shot at him. Everyone brings their skills to the table and ultimately forces Pucci to run, only for him to run into Valentine, who finishes him off by forcing him to collide with Canon!Pucci. Cue Never the Selves Shall Meet.

     Spirit Tracks
  • To start off with, this story introduces the most OC Stands in the entire series, easily allowing mtnetsurfer to eclipse Araki in terms of personally created Stands.
  • The first fight in Carne establishes a real The Good, the Bad, and the Evil vibe. Obviously George and the team he'll slowly build is the Good. Momonga and his Ainz Ooal Gown, being former followers of DIO, are the Bad. But then we get signs that some force is trying to forcibly take control for themselves, which will be the Evil for this story.
  • The Stands of the alter verse certainly make a good first impression. While few have physical forms, all of them possess potent abilities, perfect for a fantasy setting.
  • The Ancient One in particular is a truly epic Stand user, and he doesn't even fight. Rather his Stand is meant to unite an entire realm, and he's not idly boasting. Many denizens of the alter verse note that the Spirit Tracks have prevented war for centuries untold.
  • Let's face it, seeing Ninya actually deal the final blow to Clementine is both awesome and carthartic, considering canon saw their roles reversed.
  • Shalltear makes a great first impression as the series' first true vampire (as in, not one created from the stone mask). Which makes it all the more impressive when Brain is able to cause her to bleed, even if it's just her palm.
  • George and Gyro finishing off Stagnox with a Hamon-based railgun fired from Ticket to Ride! The attack is powerful enough to break through Stagnox's incredibly durable suit Stand.
  • Speedwagon's wham line to Reinfelt when the latter is confused as to why his schemes didn't work. For context, Speedwagon and Jonathan were just rebuking Reinfelt's earlier assertion about the rich elite not being a place for a lowly street thug or a bleeding heart that seeks to aid the middle class. Speedwagon points out that everything that makes rich life worth living comes from the middle class, meaning without them, the rich have nothing. He then pontificates about how his old gang love to patrol the grounds and had recently taken care of a whole bunch of assassins.
Speedwagon: "It's the damnedest thing too. Some of them claimed to have been hired by you."
  • Sebastian may be human in this story, but he's still one hell of a butler, possessing a Stand that slows down his perception of time while increasing his reflexes, allowing him to catch a bullet fired by Reinfelt. Jotaro would be impressed.
  • Barbro may have undergone Adaptational Badass in this story to the point where he's the Big Bad, but Zanac is no slouch compared to his siblings, easily matching his brother in a verbal spar. While not as smart as Renner, Zanac is no simpleton.
  • Fraaz certainly doesn't mess around, but once Shasryu is able to unlock his Stand, he and Zaryusu are able to successfully shut him down, using a combination of fire and ice Stands to counter Fraaz's own Stand, successfully ending him through shock due to temperature fluxuation.
  • On the more intellectual side of things, Herohero is able to successfully outwit Six Arms member Succulent and the corrupt city guard Heivish. Small credit to Succulent in this case, unlike Heivish he knows when to say Screw This, I'm Outta Here.
  • Punitto and Bellriver certainly deserve mention. Despite being just Those Two Guys, their Stands combined are powerful enough to hold off an entire regiment of elite castle guards, several Adamantite adventures, and two Hamon masters with potent Stands. All without moving an inch!
  • The defense of Carne Village against Guu's forces is just epic. Even more so when both Holly and Nfirea awaken their Stands in truly awesome fashion.
  • Holly and Tolkien dealing the final blow to Phytops, Holly using her vines to redirect the thorns from Phytops' Stand while Tolkien accelerates them with her own Stand. As they put it, don't mess with a mother.
  • Both Joker's friends and Speedwagon's servants taking charge of defending the Joestar estate from Baron Kelvin's lackeys. A real reversal from canon, and a true epic showing of what circus folk can be capable of in a fight.
  • The reveal of Enri's Stand, Seven Nation Army. While obviously not as large as the name would imply, it is a Badass Army of Monster Knight goblins of varying units, from heavy infantry, to long-range archers, even a drum corps to keep the march. All led by a skilled goblin strategist. Barbro's small detachment unit doesn't stand a chance against it.
  • While the greater battle at Katze Plains shows War Is Hell, there are some awesome moments. Each of Baharuth's elite guard gets a notable fight against a worthy champion of Re-Estize, while George manages to overcome Ulbert's Stand and then aid Gyro in taking out the giant monsters summoned by Bellriver. Even better, Boullope winds up exposed as the master of the demon train, really his Stand.
  • The final flashback chapter shows Jonathan completely decimating Baron Kelvin, who is revealed to have become a stone mask vampire, and the reveal that Fluder had taken possession of Kelvin's still-living head, which is now in the possession of the Unity Faction.
  • Ulbert shows just how effective his Stand can be when he places his curse on Buser, convincing the bafolk that he's unbeatable by how weak Ulbert's Stand seemed, then showing just how powerful it truly is. Buser is left begging for his life by the end of it. The kicker? He does get spared, the heroes recognizing that killing him would just let the Unity Faction make him a martyr.
  • Skeldritch, the final temple guardian set up by the Unity Faction, really gives the heroes a run for their money. Especially since he's a stone mask vampire with a very powerful Stand. Not even accidentally revealing a trick regarding his Stand makes the battle easy. You really feel like the Joestar Faction earns this victory.
  • The Speedwagon Foundation had intended to set up Jolyne with a team of Stand users to deal with Pucci, but the plan fell through thanks to the events of Stone Ocean. However, this story shows why these particular Stand users were chosen, as they are very effective and powerful.
  • Boullope decides to unleash the full power of Midnight Train for the final battle and it does not disappoint. Its munitions are grander than Ticket to Ride and cause incredible damage. Which makes it more impressive when Hekkeran and his team unleash Ticket to Ride and its three extensions to completely destroy Midnight Train, taking out Boullope with it.
  • Barbro becomes the first Big Bad in the series not to be killed in any manner, but rather arrested! George uses Hamon to shut down Barbro's Stand and slaps him in irons to be tried for treason in his home dimension. Truly a unique and awesome way to end the story.

     Jojolion
  • The whole story starts with Kakyoin completely derailing the plot of Danganronpa by taking over Hope's Peak Academy from the Steering Committee. Turns out he's descended from Izuru Kamukura, the founder of Hope Peak's Academy, on his mother's side.
  • Hajime and his Dragonforce make a good first impression, easily downing both Nekomaru and Akane, the two strongest members of the class. He then proceeds to point out how the Ultimates of the class aren't really living up to the hype. This goes a long way towards improving everyone's attitudes.
  • Despite Mahiru being friends with Honami, she sticks with what's right and turns over the evidence she found to the authorities, allowing them to arrest Honami for murder.
  • The Oingo Boingo brothers make a return, now working with the heroes, and show how effective their Stands really are by using them to save Nagito from needing to be suspended while simultaneously halting the Steering Committee's efforts to retake the school.
  • We finally get this story's JoJo five chapters in, and boy does he make a good first impression. Josefumi Kujo, Jolyne's younger brother, is a Hope's Peak Academy alumni known as the Former Ultimate Surgeon, and he easily deals with Ryota's bullies with surgical skill and the help of his Stand, Soft & Wet.
  • Black Dahlia is the top enforcer and hitman for the Medici Mafia. So it's pretty awesome to see her get completely shut down by Kazuichi thanks to his Stand taking apart her main weapon and reassembling it, minus the genetic trigger.
  • When Beowulf learns that his last fight with Grendel, which ended in the latter's death, was rigged in his favor, he admits it to the entire crowd with the intent of starting over. Definitely shows that Beowulf is man enough to admit his faults.
  • Gigans in general are incredibly durable. Without Hamon, one would be hard-pressed to tear through their flesh. Grendel even more so, since his "Earth" mode allows him to harden his skin even more. Which makes it especially impressive that Beowulf was able to tear his arm off, something that would be near impossible to do, even with Grendel being drug-addled at the time.
  • Beowulf in general is far stronger than even peak human strength, and without superpowers to boot. He shows himself capable of beating a Stand user as potent as Chiaki, who has the benefit of several centuries of accumulated fighting experience due to her Stand and the multiple video games she's played.
  • Hiyoko really gets to show what her recently awakened Stand can do, leading the charge against Brain Drain at Lab 0. When properly trained, a fresh Stand user can be deadly.
  • Everyone getting together to deal with the massive undead horde surrounding the Skullgirl's location. It should be noted that there's not a single Hamon user among the bunch, yet they still tear through the zombies like they were made of tissue paper.
  • Eliza tries to invoke Just Between You and Me before killing Cerebella, only for it turn out there was one other person in the room... Josefumi, who uses his Stand to steal the coagulation of Eliza's blood (which makes up about 94% of her body). Cue Eliza franctically rushing for her private bath to replenish.
  • While Filia struggles against Albus for a bit, she quickly gains her Heroic Second Wind when she discovers a pair of swords (shaped like hairpins) that belonged to Delilah, a former host of Samson. Surprisingly they seem to suit Filia, and she uses them to easily beat down Albus.
  • Eliza has apparently faced off against many heroes over her lifetime (which is measured in centuries) and suffered many cliched Stock Phrases. Which makes Hajime all the more badass when he proves to be a No-Nonsense Nemesis, only making a quip about how Eliza is now forced into the opening before simply getting right to the ass-kicking.
Hajime: "There's no need for cliche hero lines. The second we utter them, the deed should already be done. A true hero has no need to convince himself or others that the bad guy is going down."
  • Holy crap, Makoto makes a good first impression. Showing he's not just words and speeches this time around, he takes action with his strong Stand against any injustice.
  • In Dead Rising it's impossible to save every named character, especially since several are Psychopaths that need to be put down. But the different circumstances of this story means the Hope's Peak students are able to easily save every named character from the game. It's especially neat to see the former Psychopaths actually take a stand and help other people. The Apocalypse Brings Out the Best in People.
  • The slashers created to buy time are less durable than in the movies, but it is still pretty awesome to see the heroes use their various powers and abilities to tear through them.
  • After feeling a bit useless from the previous arc since he never got to do anything, Ryota and his Stand, affectionately named Ian, come up with a brilliant scheme to lure Rome Eron out in the open using Ian's ability to disguise himself as anyone Ryota knows about. In this case, Rome's partner Brock.
  • We get to see a flashback regarding George Joestar I and Nathaniel "Night Light" Twilight, and it turns out the apples didn't fall far from the tree as far as Jonathan and Twilight are concerned. George in particular is able to take out Nemesis, though not before she fatally infects Night Light with the Stand virus.
  • We get a brief scene of Komaru, expanding on her Stand's ability as she takes down a very familiar half-black, half-white bear. She even joins forces with Toko during the chapter.
  • When Honami learns the truth, that Aleister Crowley was a Stand user and The Book of The Law was really a Stand called The Book of Love that acted as a Stand archive, she goes off the deep end trying to gain some semblance of victory. Cue all three Danganronpa protagonists joining Josefumi as they deliver the final coup-de-grace, ending Honami's schemes and sending her off to a special prison for Stand users.

     Phantom Thief Joker
  • No sooner does Joker start his career as a Phantom Thief than he encounters Usagi, one of the Zodiac Assassins. Being able to beat the demented necromantist and still pull off the heist shows Joker is already making a good start on his quest to retake the Joestar Collection.
