I can clean finish cleaning that up—as in, cutting the unneeded pages and copying its salvageable contents to the work page—by the end of today, in PDT.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaWould be really appreciated, not necessarily right now though. I was mainly interested to know if something happened that would require help.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupNot sure where else to take this as this is kinda the opposite problem of the thread but The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck has sections for indiv. chapters on the main work page. Any objections to just moving to Recap?
Yes, they should be moved.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup+me for move. They aren't chapters as much as self-contained stories in a wider legendarium so I can see why they were organized in this way, but Recap space exists precisely for these.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanShouldn't Blog.Platypus Comix, being a subpage of Website.Platypus Comix, be moved to Recap.Platypus Comix? I don't think Blog/ can be used for a split.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupShould "Season" pages at Recap.Black Mirror be cut (while keeping episode pages and specials)? They have odd BlackMirror/ namespace and have nothing that couldn't go to Series.Black Mirror.
The plan is to unwick BlackMirror.Series One, BlackMirror.Series Two, BlackMirror.Series Three, BlackMirror.Series Four, BlackMirror.Series Five and move their tropes to main.
Channel 4 was one of the first television channels to introduce an online repeat catch-up service, and so it is suggested that many more people watched the series using this method.
Just over a year after the first series aired, Black Mirror returned to Channel 4 in February of 2013, now more fully examining the fears of reliance on and interaction with modern technologies — in particular Twitter.
The Christmas special, Black Mirror: White Christmas, that aired in December 2014 is not attached to series 2, not to any series, of the show; Channel 4 list it as a single-episode series 3, though this is effectively RetConned out of existence by the series 3 later produced by Netflix (who do list it as part of series 2).
In 2015, Netflix, in its production capacity, commissioned the creators of Black Mirror (and distributors Endemol) to create a new series. In 2016, Channel 4 was announced to have been unsuccessful in trying to buy distribution rights from Endemol, in favour of Netflix, with Endemol citing not only the higher purchase but also the fact that Channel 4 had declined to recommission the show in the last three years.
Subsequently, Netflix produced and released a third series the length of the first two combined (at a whopping six episodes) and released them all to stream on October 21st, 2016. This was around the time of the British autumn half-term (Fall break)note , allowing for British under-18s, at least, to have a week to binge-watch it.
Reactions to the third series were highly positive, particularly the Breather Episode "San Junipero", which won two BAFTAs, two Emmys, a GLAAD award, as well as being nominated for a Hugo and the Media Diversity TV moment of the year.
In early September 2016, over a month before the series release, "Nosedive" and "San Junipero" were premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
A fourth series was announced shortly after the third series aired, with Charlie Brooker later revealing that he had been writing it since July 2016. He also said the series episodes would be more diverse owing to them being written during the height of the US 2016 Presidential Election campaigning, including a bit more optimism because, to quote, "[he didn't] know what state the world's going to be in by the time these [episodes] appear, [so he didn't] know how much appetite there [would] be for nothing but bleak nihilism" — he thought that the world could very well have become so dark with Donald Trump in charge that Black Mirror needed to be lighter.
The series was released slightly over a year after series three, for post-Christmas 2017 on December 29th. Not only did this mean that everyone would be able, and anticipating, to watch, but also that it could incorporate the Holiday season into its advertising. The idea of Black Mirror being a depressing look at the future was played with in a Netflix short that was wishing everyone a Happy New Year, typically an optimistic look at the future, by juxtaposing clips from past episodes with real events that happened in 2017.
The fourth series also had a greater number of contributors, with Rashida Jones writing an episode, Jodie Foster directing another, and a story fragment from yet another being adapted from a short story by Penn Jillette. It can also be seen to once again deal with greater issues that more concern misuse and abuse of technology by assholes, rather than purely be about corrupt technology. Some morals that may be present (but it's still Black Mirror, so maybe not) include how the oppressed can easily become the oppressors, given the right power — something ever increasing in real society; a discussion on how there is no right way to do parenting, but forbidding everything will wind up terribly in any number of ways; the negatives and often illegality of new science and technology trials, and institutionalized criminal racism; and that true love can conquer all.
Though there was some doubt as to a fifth series, with Netflix having previously only made a production deal for 12 episodes, the show's success made it rather clear that it would be renewed; the official announcement came in early March 2018, with filming announcements shockingly soon after in late March. Two episodes were filmed back-to-back through April 2018 in Croydon and Kent, in England, with another episode being written by Brooker at the same time and reports from Buzzfeed claiming that some of the series would be filmed in Brazil.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIndividual sections for the episodes used to be in the Series/ namespace (eg. Series.BlackMirrorSeriesOne) before I posited that it would be more appropriate for Series.Black Mirror to hold general tropes and each episode spun out to Recaps. I agree BlackMirror.Series One and friends are superfluous, since as a Genre Anthology the episodes naturally have little to do with each other besides Easter Egg, and any common tropes can just be listed individually on each recap page.

~Synchronicity I've checked and the five seasons are wicked only between each other, redirects and episodes' navboxes. The tropes are now Series.Black Mirror "until further notice" and the descriptions feel like redundant trivia but are saved the above post just in case. I guess these are good to cut now.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupLet me go through each ep and dewick them first. The Series.Black Mirror Series One pages can stay as redirects to Series.Black Mirror since they're old and that's where the episode infos were first.
Got a bunch of weird ones with Recap.Degrassi The Next Generation.
There's a ton of recap pages with assorted, lengthy descriptions... but no tropes?
They're not plagiarized either, I did a Google on the paragraphs and Google brought me back to the trope page. But without a trope list and zero updates (some for 5 years or more), are these even worth keeping?
Summary-only recap pages are fine. Since the Synopsis namespace was merged into Recap/, one of the functions of Recap/ is providing work summaries.
posted this in ATT and was redirected here.
A Final Unity is a lengthy "recap" of a video game that just seems to explain what happens in it. Is this allowed?
It's fine. The Synopsis/ namespace was merged into Recap/, so the page is basically like a synopsis for the game.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)ok. 11k+ words seems excessive tbh, but if there's no issue then i'll leave it be
That page is acting more like a useful notes or a full point-by-point retelling. The whole point of a "synopsis" is supposed to be a brief summary (at least, away from this wiki, that's what a synopsis is supposed to be). Even if recap pages can function as a recap or synopsis, they should be brief either way.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I'm approaching this question from maybe the opposite angle from a lot of posts: At what point do individual episode recaps grow to the point that they actually need their own pages? When can we keep them combined on a series page?
I just ran across Recap.Square One TV (and the linked episode pages.) The individual episode pages - when they exist at all - are fairly slim on details and tropes. (And are not crosswicked) I'm tempted to merge them back into the one series Recap/ page, as I doubt that this series is going to attract a lot of future tropeing.
Does anyone know VeggieTales? I ran across
- Recap.Veggie Tales Episode 20 An Easter Carol
- Recap.Veggie Tales Episode 29 Moe And The Big Exit
- Recap.Veggie Tales Episode 5 Dave And The Giant Pickle
- Recap.Veggie Tales Episode 8 Larry Boy And The Fib From Outer Space
- Recap.Veggie Tales In The House S 1 E 7;
and Sweet Fancy Sapient Carrots, can you spell Wall of Text? I think that this extends to other recap pages as well, but I don't know the work at all. Not sure what can be cut.

Yes, it may be faster to just watch the episodes (15 minutes) than read these. Someone competent should trim those to key moments.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIt might be worth considering whether VeggieTales videos should even be in Recap. Aside from VeggieTales in the House and other spinoffs, each installment has an independent, physical release, without the standard timeslots, seasons, or scheduling that typically come from TV shows as far as I'm aware.
I don't see an issue with that.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWhile wick cleaning I've noticed the pages for Recap.Amphibia all have "full synopsis" folders, but in all the ones I've checked so far it just says "TBA". They were added by ~Trending Toon 1.

~SamCurt. Pinging here to not clutter the ATT with bumps, also others may help out. How's work on Recap. She Is Still Cute Today going, need assistance? I was kinda waiting for an update to close the topic.
