Oh. No.

I know that fans would just love shipping my Battle Butler and retired, former Colonel Badass turned entrepenuer just because they could, and the latter took a bullet for the former once.

And then in my later story, I'm certain that fandoms would ship clone-cest between the original and his clone who shares a brother-bond with him. D:

I'm fine if someone Rule 34'd My Immortal style or so. That would be just narm and it wouldn't really hold too much of what I hate anyway.

I would be bothered if the did it in the Shintaro Kago way, since most of my characters tend to be an Author Avatar of some sort even though through direct comparisons you would hardly be able to tell.

I've made a pairing chart, pairing pretty much every character with every other character.

For the one that pairs the heroine with her Exposition Fairy, we have gigantess fetish—though she's normal sized; he's just teeny. For the one pairing her with her Boistrous Bruiser, we not only have older man fetish, but also Wife Husbandry. There's also May December Yaoi Guys Brother Brother Incest, which I'm sure somebody out there will write. We also have plenty of Les Yay in the form of the heroine and The Lancer, probably helped by the fact that said lancer loves to call her "sweetie" and other such endearments.

Well, Iā€™ve kind of spoiled it for the fanfic writers, as the two leads (pompous, flamboyant ā€œevilā€ wizard and his wisecracking dwarf assistant who happens to be 6'4" tall) are canonically a couple. And theyā€™re not exactly the sort to appeal to the average fanfic writer, but there is definitely a subculture out there that would find it appealing (by design, see also the Stupid Sexy Flanders character that turns up in Episode 4).

I think the Estrogen Brigade are likely to latch onto the idiotic man-child apprentice next door. Pairing him up with the young Grande Dame in training could be definitely funny (and may actually happen canonically in a future episode, as her rather forceful personality ensures she will have a new boyfriend every time she appears).

Episode 2 goes overboard on potions that have various effects on peoplesā€™ personality, while Episode 5 has a character unwittingly getting a spell cast on him which results in...an embarrassing situation which he winds up using as a sort of superpower. Both qualify as Power Perversion Potential, not to mention the Fanservice wood nymphs that have a cameo in Episode 4.

Thereā€™s a flirtation between the lead characterā€™s sister and the Gandalf/Dumbledore Expy next door, which is played for laughs, but certain folk might find it ā€œcute.ā€

Other Rule34 possibles in my work include:

The hibernation chambers the Eternals use to travel in, which place them in a deeply suspended state (lots of Dude Shes In A Coma possibility).

The options the society of Arden offers for those who don't fit in their assigned gender roles, or who are forced out of them. Women can take on the male role in society and, for instance, join the military, but at the cost of sterilization and being treated as a de facto man for most purposes. This is sometimes chosen, but is more often forced — a punishment for the loser in some internal power struggle might be to have her line wiped out; they would have the choice of this status or death. Similarly, men may take on a more feminine role, by that society's definitions. Dedication to religious service is one of those; priests are considered female even if born otherwise. A man may inherit if there are no female issue, and if that is the case he becomes a de facto woman as well.

It's not a nice society in the least, though those inside it rarely see it that way.

Three of my main characters are from this society; Anhelia (an undead Eternal female soldier), Mindala (the youngest daughter of a powerful provincial family) and Aless (a young man of royal blood who becomes the Queen-in-Exile after the revolution). They are then placed, in exile, in a society where the gender roles are a lot more like our own society's; confusion reigns on both sides.

That clash-of-cultures provides a huge amount of perversion potential.

And then, there's Soot (not her real name), who's a created-person, essentially a robot of magi-tech origins, created and animated long ago by a sorcerer long since deceased. She's essentially immortal, powered by "a shard of sun in my belly" (nuclear fusion, or a magical equivalent?). She's, as the name implies, as black as soot, with silver hair that has a mind of its own, and no functional eyes as we know them. She sees the world through hearing and the ability to sense heat. Her and Anhelia become lovers, which is an odd pairing indeed. I have written scenes where Anhelia learns to show herself to Soot through sound, to tease her through running her hands over her body or her clothes to bring them to life in Soot's auditory senses.

I kinda have fun with this as there is actual in universe Rule 34 for the characters. The one who is hit hardest is probably Jane Doe with her Combat Tentacles . And another character is a lesbian with a BDSM fetish, so there's that. And the (I hope) Magnificent Bastard at one point gets into a uniform that is just a bit SS. It has a riding crop for added measure.

And if my story gets a Memetic Molester i just know it's going to be Rachel.

Well, I wouldn't be that freaked out if it happened since I used to lurk in all sorts of places and because at least it'd mean I'd have fans.

Especially if they wrote something My Immortal styled. That would be kind of awesome. That is, like, the pinnacle of fanbase, that even people who have little grasp of their native language got excited enough to write about your writing. Either that or a dedicated enough troll paid a lot of attention.

Well... Considering the two biggest aspects of the story are, basically, Cloning Blues and Thirty Xanatos Pileup, I'm pretty certain Mind Game Ship and Self Cest would come up quite a bit; with two characters in particular it would result in a blend of Brotherā€“Sister Incest and Opposite-Sex Clone.

On the other hand, I might manage to beat all but the Crack Shippers to the punch. You know what you can do when if you can duplicate people? Duplicate everyone in the Love Dodecahedron until they're all happily paired off. And then convince them to not kill each other for what they've all done to themselves.

...Now that I think about it, that's a lot of unintended Power Perversion Potential.

Noaqiyem, I think that is the most logical answer to any soapy situation that involves people with cloning technology.

Although it may get iffy if, one, there's descendants, or two the descendants take a liking to each other. But I guess with cloning technology they'd also have what they need to prevent...er, certain side-effects.

Well, considering that Bjorn Westlander Agent Retriever has interesting characters, including two Action Heroes (a knight and a rogue/fighter/mage), an amnesiac Dark Magical Girl (not a Black Magician Girl, her character fits the former trope more) and an one-armed Moe Moe (who is seven years younger than the protagonist and borderline Lolicon material), I'm suspecting that either it'd be scuzzy yaoi of some sort, breaking the cutie anally or at least a weird obsession with the DMG's humongous bumpers.

Noaqiyeum, I think that is the most logical answer to any soapy situation that involves people with cloning technology.

The tricky part, in-story, is getting all the duplicates of person A to fall in love with different people. At one point, three versions of B are all simultaneously competing for A's affections, without giving away to her how the duplication works... This is where the keep-them-from-killing-each-other bit comes in.

Although it may get iffy if, one, there's descendants, or two the descendants take a liking to each other. But I guess with cloning technology they'd also have what they need to prevent...er, certain side-effects.

It gets more convoluted than that - the Cloning Blues don't emerge from cloning technology, but from Primer-like Time Travel. The pairing I mentioned that could be considered Opposite-Sex Clones are, more precisely, literal Half-Identical Twins born from the same egg in diverging timelines.

  • Johnson/Darric - one brother fighting all the time and being a big time Mr. Fanservice, and the other being a Shota in addition to wanting that kind of relationship? Wincest, say the Yaoi Fan Girls.

  • Richard/Samantha: he gets all pouty whenever she ignores him, and she is one big Tsundere for him. Expect many NSFW Doujinshi

  • Carlos/Johnson: these two are very close...too close for the Yaoi Fangirls not to notice! And they are half siblings, giving them more ammo to claim any Yaoi between these two is not Squick.

  • Nathan/Katherine: Nathan is always so insistent its just a job and he is not in love with her. She disagrees, but is too shy to admit it. What with how shy these two are, there will be Doujinshi showing them "experimenting."

Reduce the UST between Ibbis and Diana to about two scenes of dramatic but otherwise not really important tension, and cue the plot turning into pure simple Lemon, complete with bad spelling and horrible grammar.

Not very hard to envision, honest.

The only stuff I can really imagine:

  • People having sex while puppeteering Puppets to have sex
  • Depicting the Free Puppets (enormous Puppets that assimilate loads of people underneath) as orgies
  • Necrophilia with dead people made of paper mache, which would be a bad idea as it would tend to infect you with paper mache yourself.
  • People masturbating using Finger Puppets

All I can think of.

One of my settings contains beings made of concentrated magic. They reproduce in a manner closer to mitosis than to sex proper, and I have established that when they fall in love with human magic-users, the sexual relations involved are peculiar but not entirely unpleasant. One of my characters, a shapeshifting magic-user, is loved by both a being of magic and a normal human, and I couldn't decide which romance should win out in the end. Then I realized that all three characters, for one reason or another, would be okay with a threesome.

Yet another reason I'm probably never publishing this.

Let us see let us see let us see. I'll pick the not-fandom with the most likely shippy goodness.

In one corner we have Finn/Enna these two, being brothers are already sort of implied in canon to reinforce just how fucked up they are.

In another, the source of possible shipping wars, Adam/Lorelei is canon, but about half the 'het' fandom would see Adam as being either a Yangire or a Jerkass, and would ship Jason/Lorelei depsite the fact that Jason is married. The Jason/Enna shippers would exist, and would always, always make Finn the badguy, which really is NOT a case of Ron the Death Eater.

Obviously, the there would be some Finn/Lorelei shippers, and even more Finn/Adam shippers, as well as everything in between but they'd be pretty minor in comparison. This is all includes Power Perversion Potential.

Yeah, I totally Rule34 my own stuff. There are scenes that will never see the light of day for my stuff, but it exists.
