Episode 4:

Episode 5:

Episode 6:

  • The title is "Everybody Hates Mako".
  • The theme music that plays as Mokuba escapes a tower by tying his bedsheets together is strangely familiar.
  • This fight sequence:
Mullet Guy: Yes, but my hair gives me the power to defy gravity!
Tristan: (falling to the ground) Oh, the humanity!
  • The "Jeopardy" theme song plays to indicate an annoying and improbable time skip.
  • "That is correct", spoken in the robotic, monotonic unison by Pegasus's group, is used by the Daleks.

Episode 7:

Episode 8:

Episode 9:

Episode 10:

  • The episode is titled "Both Of You, Duel Like You Want To Win." Wait a minute...
  • The episode's opening is a reenactment of the opening from the Reimagined Battlestar Galactica series, but with Kuribohs instead of Cylons.
  • Plenty of Shaft shout-outs here. When Yugi transforms to Yami, Shaft's theme song is used.
" It's time to duel, sucker. Can you dig it?"
    • Also here:
Joey: That Yugi's one bad mother-
Tea and Tristan: Shut your mouth!
Joey: I'm just talking about Yugi.
Tea and Tristan: Then we can dig it.
  • "I cast Magic Missile at the darkness!"

Episode 11:

Episode 12:

Episode 13:

Episode 14:

Episode 15:

  • "Me love you, long time."
  • More Star Wars references, such as:
    • "A long time ago, on an island far, far away ...", followed the classic Star Wars theme song and introduction.
    • "Pegasus's castle, you'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious."
    • When Mai convinces Kemo to let Tea, Bakura and Tristan in.
Mai: You don't need to see their identification.
Kemo:I don't need to see their identification.
Mai: These aren't the breasts you're looking for.
Kemo: These aren't the breasts I'm looking for.
    • "The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner. Now I am the master."
    • "That's no toon, that's a space station!"
    • Also:
Kaiba: Help me Mokuba, you're my only hope.
Mokuba: Use the Force, big brother!
    • The scene after the credits has this conversation between Kemo and Tristan.
Kemo: Yugi never told you what happened to your father!
Tristan: He told me enough! He told me you killed him!
Tristan: That's not true.. that's impossible!
Kemo: Search your feelings, you know it to be true!
      Tristan: Nooooooooo!

Episode 25:

  • From 24: The following card games take place between 9 PM and 10 PM.
  • To Dance Dance Revolution:
    (outside the history museum)
Tea: Do you think they'll have DDR in there too?
Yami: Tea, it's Japan. Of course they will.

Episode 26:

Episode 27:

  • "Joey, no! If you get too angry, you'll become the Incredible Hulk!"
  • Joey sings The Legend of Zelda item fanfare when he receives his free Duel Disk.

  • To Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds:
Yugi: Tristan, I'm going to regret asking this, but why do you have a motorbike?
Yugi: That is the stupidest thing that's ever come out of your mouth! Card games on motorbikes! Come on!
(Cut to an image of the promotional poster for Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds, complete with "Carmina Burana" playing in the background and the caption "You gotta be sh***ing me".)
  • Tristan sings the Speed Racer theme song as he searches for Joey.
  • As one of the odd edits made by 4Kids is explained, music from Dragon Quest VIII is playing.

Episode 28:

Episode 29:

Episode 30:

  • The episode is almost entirely dedicated to Saw.
Yami: You've got to be kidding me.
  • In the same episode, Yami starts listing spoilers because the villain is an obvious fan of plot twists. He's cut off by a title card, but 3 are heard that sound oddly familiar...
    Yami: SNAPE KILLS D
    [many spoilers later...]
Marik: What is a man?! A miserable pile of secrets! But enough of this...! I'm out of here.
Yugi: Come back here, and take your henchman with you!
  • In also the same episode, the opening and the closing theme of said episode is a reference to the theme song of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
  • At the very beginning of the episode: the giant hedgehog who says "Dinsdale" is a reference to the Piranha Brothers sketch from Monty Python's Flying Circus.

    • Somewhat unrelated, but bonus points to those who are familiar with the term "lad" in an Australian setting.
    • Just before this (as he's picking up the pipe), Kaiba says "Grabbin' a pipe!" which is most likely a Left 4 Dead reference.
  • The Star Wars shout-outs continue on:
Evil Tristan: The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner. Now I am the guy kicking your ass with a stick.

  • When Evil Tristan rides out of the garage on a motorcycle we get a shout out to Tristan's Japanese name, Hiroto Honda.
