Episode 6
- This episode dedicated to Robin Williams; therefore, there are references to his works.
- The title of the Episode is Night at the Duel School.
- "Oh shut up! O Captain, My Captain"
- Reiji's "I have a career. What the hell am I doing here?" line is a variation Williams's answer in a Whose Line Is It Anyway? episode where he was a guest star.
- Yuya saying to Shuzo that [he] never got a friend like [him].
Episode 8:
- The questions Kyuando gave to Yuya before the duel are from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Episode 9:
- Sora's note tells Yuya to stop by the Dark Side for cookies.
- A brief one from Mieru in episode 9 to DarkSideIncorporated's Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: The Abridged Series. "And by that I mean I want your penis."
Episode 10:
- Instead Believe x Believe, the opening is Journey Through The Decade. Because it's the 10th episode.
- "I saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico!"
Episode 11:
- The part with Hokuto (the Xyz Guy) telling Yaiba (the Synchro Guy) to have a Snickers is based from the Superbowl Bowl Snickers Ad.
- Apparently, Ayu knows Joey Wheeler.

Episode 12
- Yugo says the famous "Ain't nobody got time for that" meme.
Episode 13
- Before saying goodbye to Yuya, Hokuto mentions that he will go and see the newest Star Wars Movie. He also mentions to Serena that she looks like Kylo Ren if she also had a mask.
- "Twelve seconds later."
- Hilariously, they delibere a shout out to the original material, with Yuto telling to Yuya before fusing that "The fun is just getting started".
- As Berserker!Yuya summons Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, Yuya tells Kachidoki that he should have worn the brown pants today.
- Reiji and Himika declare that their group of fighters (The Lancers) will be better than The Avengers and The League Of Justice, while the Team Rocket's theme plays on the background.
Episode 14
- Takeda's hat resembling mouse ears, Halil's outfit and Olga's striking resemblance didn't pass unnoticed; they were turned into Disney's Mickey Mouse, Aladdin and Elsa respectively.

- Teppei is called a "freaky fish guy" by Michio.
Episode 15
