    open/close all folders

    General
  • The Bard: A combination of their Magic Music powers and theatrical, artistic culture, they're pretty much an entire race of these. Cultura even calls them "an entire race of O&O Bards", which they agree with upon finding out what that is.
  • Fantastic Racism: They're targeted by Tribalist and Autorist factions for racial reasons. On the flipside, the Musical Ponies developed a Tribalist faction of their own called the "Pure Bloods" to promote their own racial purity, which is ironic given their origins as Mutants. The Musical Ponies also distrusted the genuinely good Oceanaiads of N'ghft Vulgtmog due to past battles with malicious Oceanaiad schools since the Third Age, but ultimately decided to ally with them thanks to various deities encouraging Mousikós to look past their grudge and give the Oceanaiads a second chance.
  • Forever War: The nation has been at conflict with the school of relic Oceanaiads living off their coast since the Third Age, coveting their island's Castle of Music in order to gain a power-base for their people. More positive example, however, as the Mousikósians are innocent people defending themselves, unlike the Changeling/Dragon Conflict. It finally ends when Lizza Jr. and company arrive and help finally decisively defeat the Oceanaiads.
  • Human Subspecies: Well, Pony Subspecies. Because of the isolation imposed by both the apocalypse of the Third Age and the Oceanaiads lurking offshore, the Musical Ponies of the island have evolved over time until they've become a subspecies that now functions as a new Pony tribe altogether. This resulted in the Musical Ponies' chest gem showing up as a racial trait that can be manifested by Alicorns, who embody all mortal Pony tribes.
  • Instrumental Weapon: Due to their affilation for Music Magic and being more than willing to defend themselves, many of their magical weapons consist of weaponised musical instriments, ranging from 'Tuba-Cannons' wielded by Tuba-Cannoneers to a more modern 'Bass Blaster' they made for Vinyl Scratch.
  • Irony: Musical Ponies were originally Mutants who eventually became a separate Pony tribe via years of isolated evolution. Some Musical Ponies formed the "Pure Bloods" tribalist faction under the belief that they are, well, pure-blooded Ponies, which is rather ironic considering their origins.
  • Magic Music: The large majority of the island's population are Musical Ponies, whose magic is entirely music-based.
  • Matriarchy: Enlightened version. Mousikós is ruled by a trio of divine sovereigns, Queen Aoide and her sisters, Princesses Mese, Nete, and Mneme. Despite this, the island's society, culture, and population are gender-equal.
  • Meaningful Name: Mousikós translates to "musical" in Ancient Greek, which fits given its overall musical theme, its Musical Pony population, and its royal family being a trio of sisters who are also Music goddesses (or Musical Magic in Queen Aoide's case).

Mousikós Pantheon

    General
  • Fantasy Pantheon: The Mousikós Pantheon is the primary ruling pantheon of its namesake island, ruled/led by Queen Aoide Mousikós.
  • Magic Music: Many members embody Music and/or are at least skilled in playing some form of music. This is rather fitting, given Mousikós' musical themes and its local population being mostly made of Musical Ponies.
  • Winged Unicorn: So far, its members are Alicorns (with one Canicorn hybrid in Princess Belladonna Heartstrings).

The Muse Quartet

    General
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Jazzy/Nete, Melody/Aoide, and Muse/Mese (then called the "Muse Trio") not only had to live through the end of the Third Age, which was in part caused by the Oceanaiads' spiteful suicide gambit, but they also went through the ordeal of losing Rocky, their youngest sister, and not knowing whether she died or not. All three of them handled the loss in their own ways, and it took them a while to recover from their grief since they only had each other and there weren't any therapists around. Thankfully, they finally get closure when several Death deities looked into the matter and promptly reunited Rocky with her sisters upon finding her.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: In canon, Melody, Muse, Jazzy, and Rocky from the g2 Musical Pony toyline barely got a backstory. Here, they're all depicted as the Muse Quartet, mortal descendants of the Second Age's Melody who all inherited their love for music from her. This led to them becoming students of Blue Suede Heartstrings, who knew the Second Age's Melody. Three of the sisters, Melody, Muse, Jazzy, managed to Ascend during the cataclysmic end of the Third Age, but Rocky's mysterious disappearance devastated them. Fortunately, they finally reunited with Rocky after some Death deities found her, and Rocky joined her older sisters in ruling Mousikós once she Ascended, too.
  • Adaptational Badass: Unlike their canon counterparts in the g2 Musical Pony toyline, all members of the Muse Quartet are all Alicorns. Of the four, however, Melody/Aoide was the only one to become a true goddess while the other three stayed demigoddesses due to the difficulty of Ascending to true godhood. Rocky/Mneme is the youngest of the Muse Quartet given the circumstances of her situation, leading to her Ascending in the Fourth Age. Individually, each goddess has unique powers of their own that relate to their domains and divine nature. Aoide, Mese, and Nete are also adept in using Sea Pony magic and skilled in both swimming and underwater combat due to constantly fighting off the Oceanaiads and other oceanic horrors.
  • Adaptational Skill: Due to using their Sea Pony magic against the Oceanaiads frequently, Aoide, Mese, and Nete are expert swimmers and skilled in underwater combat.
  • Adaptation Name Change: Melody, Muse, Jazzy, and Rocky had their canon names changed to Aoide, Mese, Nete, and Mnene, respectively to reflect their transformations into (demi-)divine Alicorns. Aoide later changes her name to "Aoide Mousikós" upon becoming Queen of her namesake island because of an ancient Alicorn tradition involving full-fledged royalty becoming leaders/patrons of the places they're watching over.
  • Arch-Enemy: The Oceanaiads have been their most persistent enemies due to their role in ending the Third Age, as well as constantly encircling the island Mousikós for the opportunity to conquer it and seize the Castle of Music for their own nefarious goals. This is later deconstructed when the constant fighting between them caused Queen Aoide to develop Fantastic Racism against the Oceanaiads, seeing them as an irredeemable, Always Chaotic Evil race that deserved to die off. To her credit, Aoide was horrified by what she became after several Oceanaiads defected thanks to Mese's empathic powers, and later begged for forgiveness from Blue Suede Heartstrings for letting herself become a bigot, knowing her mentor hated racism in all forms.
  • Awesome Moment of Crowning: Aoide, Mese, and Nete are crowned Princesses of Mousikós when their plan to sing one last defiant song in the face of imminent destruction ended up protecting everyone instead, triggering their Ascension to demi-godhood (though it's unknown whether their Ascensions were due to Blue Suede Heartstriongs' Primordial Quintessence, the surrounding arcane energies, or both).
  • Canon Character All Along: Justified. They're actualy Melody, Muse, Jazzy, and Rocky of the g2 Musical Pony toyline, but they changed their names to reflect their transformation into Alicorns. Melody in particular changed her name to "Aoide Mousikós" after becoming Queen of Mousikós because of an ancient Alicorn naming tradition, where full-fledged Alicorn royalty adopt the name of the place they're ruling/watching over.
  • Crossover Relatives: All four members of the Muse Quartet are Third Age descendants of the Second Age's Melody/Melodia and her father, Rock Opera/Racconto. They in turn are distantly related to Sunset Shimmer through the group's youngest member, Rocky, who is Sunset's ancestor.
  • Deity of Human Origin: They all were originally mortal Earth Ponies until they became students of Blue Suede Heartstrings. Aoide, Mese, and Nete Ascended to demi-godhood during the cataclysms that ended the Third Age (though it isn't known whether it's due to Blue Suede's Primordial Quintessence, the arcane energies involved in the attack that would've destroyed Mousikós, or both), with Aoide being the only one who managed to Ascend to true godhood. Their lost sister Rocky/Mneme Ascended last due to being separated from her sisters during the Third Age's end, and going missing for centuries until Rock Opera/Racconto and other Death deities found her.
  • Divine Parentage: Initially inverted; they're all divine descendants of the Second Age's Melody, who died a mortal... until Melody came back as an Alicorn demigoddess, playing it straight.
  • Energy Absorption: It's believed that Aoide, Mese, and Nete's Ascension to demi-godhood was triggered when they absorbed the surrounding arcane energies while unexpectedly protecting their people from the Oceanaiads' suicidal final gambit. However, it's noted the three did absorb enough energy to become roughly as tall as Princess Cadence instead of being slightly taller than their mortal selves under normal circumstances.
  • Ethnic God: As Alicorns, all members of the Muse Quartet represent the various mortal Pony tribes, which includes Musical Ponies. They're also mainly worshiped by Mousikós' Musical Pony population, though that is starting to change as Mousikós is slowly gaining a pantheon filled with other deities.
  • Face Death with Dignity: When Mousikós was in danger of being destroyed by the arcane cataclysm that resulted from the Oceanaiads' spiteful suicidal gambit (among other things), Aoide, Mese, and Nete decided to essentially go out with a bang by singing one final song in the face of annihilation. However, the sheer number of Musical Ponies and amount of emotions present actually empowered the song, creating a massive barrier that protected Mousikós from the brunt of the cataclysm. This also led to the three sisters Ascending to demi-godhood, though it's not clear whether this was from exposure to Primordial Quintessence from Blue Suede, the massive arcane energies involved, or a combination of the two.
  • Family Theme Naming: All four are named after music and/or the arts, with their birth names being Melody, Jazzy, Muse, and Rocky. Following ther Ascensions, they get Alicorn names that are taken from the Greek Muses (as well as other non-Olympian Muses), like Aoide, Mese, Nete, and Mneme. This also applies to their Second Age ancestors, such as the Second Age's Melody/Melodia and her father, Rock Opera/Racconto. However, their Fourth Age descendant, Sunset Shimmer, averts this.
  • Heroic Lineage: All four of them are heroic descendants of the Second Age's Melody/Melodia and her father, Rock Opera/Racconto. On the flipside, they're ancestors of Sunset Shimmer through their youngest sister, Rocky.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Subverted, as deities get Stronger with Age in the Codexverse. Aoide, Mese, and Nete Ascended to demi-godhood during the end of the Third Age, but only Aoide managed to Ascend to true godhood while Mese and Nete are chronologically as ancient as Aoide yet stayed demigoddesses due to how difficult it is for one to do what Aoide did. Mneme is the youngest of the sisters because she Ascended to demi-godhood well into the Fourth Age, thousands of years after her older sisters Ascended.
  • Karmic Jackpot: Melody, Muse, and Jazzy Ascended to demi-godhood when their plan to sing one last defiant song in the face of total annihilation accidentally ended up saving many lives, though it's unknown whether it's due to exposure to Primordial Quintessence from Blue Suede Heartstrings, the residual arcane energies surrounding them, or both. As a reward, the trio were crowned Princesses of Mousikós.
  • Magic Music: All four of them were skilled in music thanks to having Blue Suede Heartstrings as their teacher. However, when they Ascended, only three of them embodied Music, as only Melody/Aoide embodies Musical Magic, making her similar to the Musical Ponies she and her sisters ruled over.
  • Making a Splash: As Alicorns, all members of the Muse Quartet represent Sea Ponies, giving them water magic, swimming, and underwater breathing. However, Aoide, Mese, and Nete are more skilled in using Sea Pony magic due to constantly fighting the Oceanaiads trying to take over Mousikós and seize their Castle of Music.
  • Older Than They Look: Due to how deities age in the Codexverse, Princesses Mese and Nete are demigoddesses, the equivalent of infant deities by divine standards, but chronologically they're over a millenia old because they never managed to Ascend to true godhood like their oldest sister, Queen Aoide, did. Various deities are interested in helping the two fully Ascend so they could finally get out of their demi-divine state.
  • Our Hippocamps Are Different: As Alicorns, all members of the Muse Trio represent all mortal Pony tribes, including the Sea Ponies, giving them water magic, swimming abilities, and underwater breathing. However, only Aoide, Mese, and Nete are skilled in it due to them constantly fighting off Oceanaiads and other underwater horrors for thousands of years to protect Mousikós.
  • Pals with Jesus: As mortals, they ended becoming students of Blue Suede Heartstrings, who personally mentored them in music, though of the four, he took particular interest in Melody/Aoide due to being heavily similar to her namesake ancestor, the Second Age's Melody.
  • Politically-Active Princess: While Queen Aoide is in charge of ruling Mousikós, Princesses Mese, Nete, and Mneme rule alongside her and take part in the local government as much as their older sister does. They also make sure that Aoide doesn't burden herself with too many responsibilities as she did in the past.
  • Princesses Rule: Despite Aoide officially ruling Mousikós as its Queen, her younger sisters, Princesses Muse/Mese, Jazzy/Nete, and Rocky/Mneme rule the nation alongside her while making sure Aoide doesn't burden herself with too many responsibilities at once.
  • Rapid Aging: A positive example, since deities get Stronger with Age in the Codexverse. In singing one last defiant song for Mousikós while facing certain annihilation in the Third Age, Aoide, Mese, and Nete ended up erecting a massive barrier that protected Mousikós from the brunt of the coming arcane cataclysm, thanks to the sheer number of Musical Ponies singing along with them. While it's not clear if their resulting Ascension to demi-godhood stemmed from exposure to Blue Suede Heartstrings' Primordial Quintessence or absorbing massive arcane energies, it was noted that the three sisters came out of the event bearing the same height as Princess Cadence.
  • Related in the Adaptation: All members of the Muse Quartet are sisters, with Melody/Aoide and Muse/Mese being fraternal twin sisters. Their G2 counterparts weren't related at all, despite being sold as part of the Musical Pony toyline.
  • Semi-Divine: Of the Muse Quartet, only Aoide managed to Ascend to true godhood. Mese and Nete remained demigoddesses for as long as they did due to how difficult it is for one to Ascend as a true deity, let alone a demigod. Mneme, meanwhile, was the last to Ascend because she disappeared during the Third Age's end and ended up dying a mortal. This got various deities, including Blue Suede Heartstrings and Starsong/Cantare, interested in helping the three sisters fully Ascend.
  • Sibling Team: The Muse Quartet consists of four divine and demi-divine sisters who are descendants of the Second Age's Melody and rule over the island of Mousikós together.
  • Winged Unicorn: All members of the Muse Quartet are divine Alicorns.

Queen Aoide Mousikós, the Enduring Dreamer

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Musical Magic, Endurance, Dreams

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

"The kingdom and the song shall endure!"

Queen Aoide Mousikós, born Melody (her entry here), is the Alicorn goddess of Musical Magic, Endurance, and Dreams, and is the divine sovereign of Mousikós.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Not only did she had to deal with narrowly surviving the end of the Third Age and being suddenly thrust into leadership unprepared, but she was also traumatized by the supposed deaths of her sister Rocky and all their friends. This drove her to suppress her own emotions in order to be the perfect ruler the Musical Ponies needed, but it eventually backfired, leading to her being confronted by her other sisters, Mese and Nete. She also tried containing the fallout of the Castle of Music's meltdown by herself, knowing full well that she would die from it due to lingering guilt over not preventing Rocky's disappearance.
  • Adaptational Badass: Of her and her three sisters, she's the only one who not only succeeded in Ascending to demi-godhood protecting Mousikós, but also Ascended to full godhood while containing (and absorbing) the Castle of Music's arcane meltdown. This made her as powerful as Belyolen and Temnobog, both of them First Age deities, which is far beyond what she should have gotten had she aged normally, and made her slightly bigger than the similarly large Celestia. She also came to embody Musical Magic, Endurance, and Dreams, essentially embodying everything the Musical Ponies are as well as their hopes and dreams, giving her (among other things) the Musical Ponies' brand of Magic Music and supernatural endurance.
  • Adaptation Name Change: She's named Melody in the G2 Musical Pony toyline, which became her birth name in the Codexverse. She changes her name to Aoide upon Ascending to demi-godhood, and after Ascending to full godhood, she adds Mousikós to her name to reflect her becoming Queen of the island of Mousikós.
  • Aesop Amnesia: Deconstructed. Despite learning that it's emotionally unhealthy for her to repress her grief and take on too many responsibilities at once in order to be the perfect Queen, she forgets that lesson when she tries to protect her people from the already deteriorating Castle of Music's impending arcane meltdown by herself, knowing she'll very likely die. Fortunately, she ends up surviving and suceeding in containing the fallout thanks to everyone backing her up (including her pet Songbird, Lyre), which also triggered her Ascension to true godhood... but she gets called out by Nete, who is disappointed with her for forgetting everything she learned and trying to sacrifice herself without acknowledging how others might feel if she were to actually die.
  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: After realizing that she let her righteous anger towards the Oceanaiads turn into outright Fantastic Racism, she begged Blue Suede for forgiveness upon meeting him again, knowing that her mentor hated racism in general and wouldn't be happy to discover she became a Oceanaiad-hating bigot like many did.
  • Always Identical Twins: Subverted. She and her younger sister, Mese, are fraternal twins, and thus look nothing alike. They each have different hair and pelt colors, and different Cutie Marks (even though they depict musical instruments), and while they did Ascend, it was Aoide who managed to Ascend to true godhood while she still remained a demigoddess. There's also the fact that Aoide Ascended by trying to contain the wild arcane magic caused by the Castle of Music's explosion, causing her to become slightly taller than Celestia from ingesting so much magic.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn goddess who embodies Musical Magic, Endurance, and Dreams.
  • Awesome Moment of Crowning: She is crowned Queen of Mousikós by her sisters, Mese and Nete, after saving Mousikós from the Castle of Music's arcane fallout (which led to her Ascending to true godhood) and recovering from absorbing copious amounts of Wild Magic. She would also earn an Alicorn name to reflect her status as full-fledged Alicorn royalty.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Much like her ancestor, the Second Age's Melody, she's a driven, determined individual who will doggedly pursue a goal — such as freeing Mousikós from the terror of the Oceanaiads — once she sets her mind to it. She believes that everyone has the right to pursue their own hopes and dreams and encourages people to do so She is a Cool Big Sis to her younger sisters. After Ascending all the way to true godhood and becoming Queen of Mousikós, this aspect of her has not changed much. However, she utterly despises those who cruelly destroy the dreams of others to further their own, such as Ivory Towers and what she did to the island of Corporatum. She's a persistent enemy of the Oceanaiads due to their role in ending the Third Age and their attempts to conquer Mousikós, but there was a time when she let her righteous anger turn into outright racism, something that horrified her. She also suffered from centuries worth of PTSD from losing everything, including her youngest sister Rocky and all of her friends, though she finally finds closure when she reunites with them in the Fourth Age.
  • Energy Absorption: In order to protect Mousikós from a magical fallout resulting from the Castle of Music's destruction, she opted to stay behind and contain the blast, knowing she would very likely die in the process, while Mese and Nete were ordered to lead their people to safety. However, due to everyone choosing to help her by empowering her with their singing, she ended up having the realization needed to Ascend to true godhood, allowing her to contain much of the Castle of Magic's explosion and absorb the Wild Magic coming from the unstable magic nexus. This not only accelerated her physical and magical growth rates, but also left her dangerously radioactive, forcing her to keep herself isolated for a few months.
  • Faint in Shock: According to her, her first reaction to meeting Blue Suede Heartstrings and realizing whom she was talking to was to faint.
  • Fantastic Racism: Deconstructed. Because she and her people have fought the Oceanaiads and suffered because of them for so long, she let her righteous anger slowly corrupted into irrational hatred. However, after Mese's use of Emotion Bomb on the Oceanaiads caused several of them to defect to Mousikós out of guilt towards their actions, she realized that she was turning into a bigot, which horrified her as her mentor, Blue Suede Heartstrings, is known for his hatred of tribalism/racism in all forms. Thus, the first thing Aoide did upon reuniting with Blue was to plead for his forgiveness.
  • Gentle Giant: Her Ascension to true godhood involved trying to contain the Castle of Music's arcane meltdown, and in the process, she absorbed copious amounts of Wild Magic, rapidly aging her up until she's slightly taller than Celestia. Despite this, she is a benevolent Queen who constantly encourages the pursuit of dreams and, like her ancestors, is a determined mare who is driven to complete something once she sets her mind to it.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Deconstructed. While she did choose to stay behind and contain the Castle of Music's arcane fallout to protect her subjects, it's implied part of it stemmed from lingering trauma over Rocky's death, and she still tried to shoulder responsibilities by herself despite having previously learned that it's emotionally unhealthy. She also made her choice knowing that she would die in the process, not taking into account how her sisters would actually feel about her death. She would ultimately survive due to everyone choosing to help her, but Nete would call her out on this once the disaster was over.
Princess Nete: Sis, didn't we just get through this? You can't do everything by yourself.
  • Identical Twin ID Tag: Averted; both she and her younger sister, Mese, are fraternal divine twins, so they look nothing alike — Aoide has a pink pelt and a blue mane and tail made of magical sound energy with purple and silver streaks , and her Cutie Mark is a saxophone. Meanwhile, Mese has a light purple pelt with a mane made of orange, pink, and silver emotional energy, and her Cutie Mark is a pink pan flute. The differences became even more obvious when Aoide Ascended to true godhood trying to contain the Castle of Music's arcane fallout, in the process absorbing lots of Wild Magic and aging up to slightly past Celestia's height, whereas Mese remained a demigoddess due to the difficulty of Ascending to true godhood.
  • Immune to Mind Control: Being a goddess of Endurance grants her mental fortitude, allowing her to resist mind-control.
  • It Has Been an Honor: Before leading the people of Mousikós in playing their last defiant song in the face of certain destruction, she spoke to them what she assumed would be her last words. Instead, everyone unexpectedly survived thanks to their Magic Music erecting a huge barrier, and she and her two present sisters, Mese and Nete, Ascended to demi-godhood as a consequence.
Melody: Ladies and lords... it has been an honor playing with you.
  • Magic Hair: Like Blue Suede Heartstrings, she has a rippling blue mane and tail made of magical sound energy, except hers has purple and silver streaks in them.
  • Magic Music: As a goddess of Musical Magic, she has powers similar to Blue Suede's prior to his re-Ascension, but far weaker. However, what initially made her different from Blue Suede is that she represents the magical aspects of music rather than music itself, and thus has enhanced versions of the Musical Ponies' powers like passive sound manipulation, emotion manipulation, status-buffing/debuffing, and healing. Her divine power was also massively enhanced via absorbing copious of Wild Magic while protecting Mousikós from the Castle of Music's arcane explosion. Following Blue Suede's re-Ascension and crowning as King of the Corporatum Pantheon, she would work with her former mentor in expanding on the Musical Ponies' tribal magic to make up for any magical knowledge lost in the Third Age, owing to his greater experience with musical magic.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Enduring Dreamer", due to being a goddess of Dreams and Endurance, as well as being a mare who doggedly pursues her dreams herself.
  • Major Injury Underreaction: Being a goddess of Endurance can lead to this at times. While she's capable of tanking and surviving grievous injuries, she doesn't have a Healing Factor and thus needs time to naturally heal and/or assistance from healers. Notably, in one battle, she wanted to keep fighting despite being impaled and only noticed her injury after Nete informed her of it.
Queen Aoide Mousikós: Let me back in there, Nete! I can keep going!
Princess Nete: Sis, you just got impaled!
Queen Aoide Mousikós: ...Oh... so I have...
  • Meaningful Name: Her birth name, Melody, refers to a sequence of single notes that is musically satisfying. Her Alicorn name, Aoide Mousikós, refers to both the Boeotian muse of song and her sovereignty over the island of Mousikós, respectively.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted. She shared the same name as her Second-Age ancestor, the Virtuous Seven heroine Melody. This is later played straight when she Ascends to true godhood while containing the Castle of Music's arcane fallout, upon which she is crowned Queen and renamed Aoide Mousikós.
  • Our Gods Are Different: She's an "Ascendant deity", the rarest of the three main types of deities in the Codexverse. In her case, she's an Alicorn, who are Ethnic Gods of Ponykind and thus giving her the combined magics of all mortal Pony tribes. And as a deity, she only gets Stronger with Age; the copious amounts of Wild Magic she absorbed while containing the Castle of Music's meltdown made her undergo Rapid Aging, turning her into a considerably older goddess whose power is equal to Belyolen and Temnobog's despite the latter two being much older than her. This also means she's gigantic compared to her sisters Mese and Nete, who both stayed demigoddesses for thousands of years.
  • Rapid Aging: A positive example, since deities get Stronger with Age in the Codexverse. As a result of absorbing the Castle of Music's magical nexus, which at the time had become extremely unstable due to going centuries without proper maintenance, her physical and magical growth rates were accelerated, causing her to grow faster than a normal deity to where she became a few inches taller than Celestia. However, because she absorbed copious amounts of Wild Magic for this to happen, this essentially left her irradiated, requiring her to stay isolated for a few months until her body properly metabolized it.
  • Telepathy: As a goddess of Dreams, she represents the concept of having a life-long dream that one strives to reach, giving her telepathic abilities. She can sense one's dreams, including dreams that were buried due to social pressures, and grant inspiration and/or encouragement to pursue them... though this can also include detecting sinister ambitions.
  • Twin Telepathy: As a result of Mese's Emotion domain, she developed a psychic link with her younger twin sister, allowing Mese to project her emotions in addition to her own. However, Mese normally asks permission from her before doing so.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: She would be called out by Nete for forgetting the lessons she learned about not bottling up her own emotions or shouldering all responsiblities by herself, which could have led to her death if no one helped her and Lyre contain the Castle of Music's meltdown.
Princess Nete: Sis, didn't we just get through this? You can't do everything by yourself.
  • Xenafication: Melody from the G2 Musical Ponies toyline loved riding and dreaming with her Pony friends. Here, she started off as a mortal Third-Age descendant of the Second Age's Melody who Ascended to godhood and became the Alicorn goddess of Musical Magic, Endurance, and Dreams. And as a result of absorbing copious amounts of Wild Magic while trying to contain the Castle of Music's meltdown, she ended up becoming considerably older and more powerful than a typical goddess her age would've been; her entry explicitly compares her power levels to being on par with that of Belyolen and Temnobog, both of them "Tier IV"-ranked deities.
  • Younger Than They Look: Played with. While she's eternally young due to being an Alicorn goddess, by divine standards she looks like a considerably older deity than she actually is despite not being a "prodigy deity". Rather, her growth was accelerated by absorbing the wild magic of the Castle of Magic's meltdown, which also consequently left her incredibly irradiated for months. Chronologically, she's the same age as Mese, her fraternal twin sister, and Nete due to all three of them having Ascended to demi-godhood at the same time.

    Princess Mese, the Caring Inspiration

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Music, Art, Emotions

Rank: Demigoddess

"Just as emotions fuel and inspire the creation of art, proper emotional venting serves as the lifeblood for healthy living."

Princess Mese, born Muse (her entry here), is the Alicorn demi-goddess of Music, Art, and Emotions, and is a member of the divine "Muse Quartet" that rules over the island archipelago of Mousikós.
  • Always Identical Twins: Subverted. She and her older sister, Aoide, are fraternal twins, and thus look nothing alike.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn demigoddess who embodies Music, Art, and Emotions.
  • Bad Liar: Her emotional openness naturally makes her terrible at lying.
  • The Beastmaster: Having a Music domain gave her a natural affinity for Song Birds, which is how Aoide, her twin sister, got Lyre as a pet.
  • Brutal Honesty: Due to being very open with her emotions, she comes off as very blunt and is naturally a Bad Liar, which sometimes leads to situations where her feelings are hurt by people finding her bluntness hilarious; she once ran away sobbing after bluntly confessing her feelings to a colt she liked, only for him to laugh at her (though they still ended up dating after he apologized). This endeared her to Applejack/Veritas, who had similar problems. She also has no qualms calling people out for their mistakes, such as forcing her sisters to acknowledge their way of dealing with their grief over Rocky's disappearance/death via Emotion Suppression was harmful, and telling Autumn Blaze that the Kirins were stupid for trying the same thing instead of learning how to control their volatile emotions better. This aspect of her led to her befriending Katharsis, as their powers/natures revolve around healthy emotional venting.
  • Commonality Connection: She ends up befriending Moon Ray Vaughoof (now Prince Canticum Lunae Cahaya) over their shared love and talent for art.
  • Emotion Bomb: As a demigoddess of Emotion, this is one of her power, though she can only make others feel her own emotions due to being not fully developed. In battle, she can use this as a morale booster for her allies, and as a weapon to distract/incapacitate her enemies, whether with positive or negative emotions. She notably caused several Oceanaiads to genuinely regret the pain and grief they caused her with their actions after being forced by her to feel them, and defected to Mousikós as a consequence. Her sisters noted her empathy made her moments of lovesickness "interesting" when used around her mortal lovers, causing her to blush out of embarrassment.
  • The Empath: As a demigoddess of Emotion, she's an empath, which she primarily uses in conjunction with her domain of Art to inspire emotional artworks. She can emit Emotion Bombs, but only with her own emotions, which might be due to being only a demigoddess whose powers are not fully developed; she notably caused several Oceanaiads to defect to Mousikós after forcing them to feel the grief and suffering they inflicted upon her, which caused them to realize the error of their ways. However, she can also use her own positive emotions like laughter and joy to boost morale for her allies and distract/incapacitate enemies. Her sisters note that being an empath made her 'lovesick' moments with her mortal lovers "interesting", to which she blushed bright red out of embarrassment. Her domain also allows her to communicate telepathically with Aoide by projecting either her sister's emotions or her own through her, though she normally asks for permission before doing it.
  • The Fashionista: Unlike many deities who stick to one type of outfit or barding, she regularly changes her outfits and divine barding, though always with her Musical Pony gem exposed. While several of her outfits were made by her, she also comissioned Rarity Belle to make new ones for her.
  • Identical Twin ID Tag: Averted; both she and her older sister, Aoide, are fraternal divine twins, so they look nothing alike — Mese has a light purple pelt with a mane made of orange, pink, and silver emotional energy, and her Cutie Mark is a pink pan flute. Meanwhile, Aoide has a pink pelt and a blue mane and tail made of magical sound energy with purple and silver streaks , and her Cutie Mark is a saxophone.
  • Magic Hair: Her pink, orange, and silver mane and tail transformed into rippling emotional energy upon Ascending to demi-godhood.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Caring Inspiration".
  • Magic Music: As a demigoddess of Music, she has many abilities similar to Blue Suede's, like sound magic and musical healing and/or empowerment, which is fitting considering he mentored her and her sisters. However, hers are far weaker in comparison due to being a demigoddess. Her domain also gives her an affinity for Song Birds; she was the one who gave Lyre to Aoide as a therapy pet to help her with her Emotion Suppression problem.
  • Meaningful Name: Her birth name, Muse, comes from the Muses of Classical Mythology, referring to how she inspires others with her emotions, songs, and artwork. Her Alicorn name, Mese, refers to the Greek Muse Mese, who represented the middle string of the lyre.
  • Meaningful Rename: Her birth name was Muse, but after Ascending to demi-godhood, she changed her name to Mese upon being crowned a Princess. Mese is one of three Muses of the lyre who represents the middle string in Classical Mythology.
  • Older Than They Look: Like Nete, she's thousands of years old due to originating from the Third Age, but she's a demigoddess due to the difficulty of Ascending to true godhood. Many benevolent deities, including Blue Suede Heartstrings, are looking into helping her and Nete fully Ascend.
  • Our Hippocamps Are Different: Being an Alicorn allows her to manifest traits of the Sea Pony tribe, giving her the ability to swim and manipulate water. She normally manifests this due to living on an island nation that was constantly besieged by Oceanaiad schools until they were finally dealt with in the Fourth Age.
  • Twin Telepathy: As a result of her Emotion domain, she developed a psychic link with her older twin sister, Aoide, allowing her to project Aoide's emotions in addition to her own. However, she normally asks permission from Aoide before doing so.

    Princess Nete, the Scholarly Insight

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Music, Writing, Knowledge

Rank: Demigoddess

Princess Nete, born Jazzy (her entry here), is the Alicorn demigoddess of Music, Writing, and Knowledge, and is the youngest member of the divine "Muse Quartet" that rules over the island of Mousikós.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn demigoddess who embodies Music, Writing, and Knowledge.
  • Commonality Connection: Her love for traveling and meeting new Ponies allowed her to befriend Vehere after the two met on an airship at one point.
  • Interspecies Friendship: She befriended Vehere, a Celestial Griffon goddess, over their shared love for traveling.
  • Magic Hair: Her dark blue and silver mane and tail are composed of Knowledge energy.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Scholarly Insight".
  • Making a Splash: Her Sea Pony traits give her water powers. Her powers also allow her to spend time at the bottom of lakes (and oceans, once the Oceanaiads threatening Mousikós are neutralized) reading waterproofed books.
  • Meaningful Name: Her birth name was Jazzy, which fits since she specialized in playing jazz in her mortal years. her Alicorn name, Nete, is a Latin term referring to the highest note of a musical instrument.
  • Older Than They Look: Like Mese, she's thousands of years old due to originating from the Third Age, but she's a demigoddess due to the difficulty of Ascending to true godhood. Many benevolent deities, including Blue Suede Heartstrings, are looking into helping her and Mese fully Ascend.
  • Photographic Memory: As a demigoddess of Knowledge, she has a perfect photographic memory and can remember anything after reading, seeing, or learning of it once.
  • Rewriting Reality: As a demigoddess of Writing, this is her most dangerous power: If she performs a proper ritual, she can bind others to a book and do this to a degree around them. While it has limits, it still gives them a frightening amount of control over their lives, and thus doesn't enjoy using it.
  • Token Minority: Like her sister Mese, she's the only demigoddess in the Church of the Stars, though her peers intend to avert this by helping her Ascend to true godhood.

    Princess Mneme, the (WIP title)

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Music, Photography, Memory

Rank: Demigoddess

Princess Mneme, born Rocky, is the Alicorn demigoddess of Music, Photography, and Memory, and is the youngest sister of Mese, Nete, and Aoide.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn demigoddess who embodies Music, Photography, and Memory.
  • Posthumous Character: She is long dead by the Fourth Age, as she never Ascended to godhood like her sisters did due to being away on a solo tour when it happened. This later ends up being averted when Rock Opera, now Prince Racconto Mousikós-Corporatum, discovers the truth of what happened to her and helps her reunite with her sisters.

Other Pantheon members

Starsong Melody/Princess Cantare, the Princess of Song

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Music, Dance, Support

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

Princess Cantare, born Starsong Melody (her entry here), is the Alicorn goddess of Music, Dance, and Support, and one of the greatest musicians of the Third Age.
  • The Ace: Much like Prince Knight Shade and Blue Suede Heartstrings before her, she's an extremely talented singer and dancer, and became the greatest musician of the Third Age. This is what led to Luminiferous introducing her to Blue Suede, who became her mentor and helped her Ascend first to demi-godhood, then true godhood. It's deconstructed as being killed by Father D'agah and Mother Huthi (and regenerating from it), combined with waking up in a completely different Age with everyone she knew assuming her to be dead, gave her a lot of psychological trauma. However, she is currently seeking help from therapeutic deities like Mentálne and Joyous Freedom, reconstructing it.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: On top of her traumatic death, she had to deal with the issues that comes with being lost in the Fourth Age and everything she knows and loves being gone or changed after millennia in absence.
  • Adaptational Badass: Starsong in My Little Pony (G3) was a Pegasus mare who is very shy, but otherwise a talented singer and dancer. In the Codexverse, she did start out like her canon self, but later became an Alicorn goddess under the tutelage of Blue Suede Heartstrings, embodying domains like Music, Dance, and Support. She was also later revealed to be a 'Perpetual', which first made itself known after she was vaporized protecting her friends from a divine attack, only to regenerate fully over the course of thousands of years.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn goddess who embodies Music, Dance, and Support.
  • Back from the Dead: Due to being a divine 'Perpetual', Cantares unexpectedly come back from the dead in the Fourth Age following her Heroic Sacrifice. However, it took longer because she was effectively vaporized in the Final Battle of the Abyssal War and her body had to regenerate from effectively nothing.
  • Canon Character All Along: Justified. She's actually Starsong Melody from the My Little Pony (G3) show, but after she Ascended to godhood under Blue Suede Heartstrings' tutelage, she changed her name to "Cantare" to reflect this change.
  • Crossover Relatives: In the Codexverse, she's a Third Age descendant of Clover Bloom, whom she idolized and later got to meet following the former's resurrection.
  • Commonality Connection: Her shyness has caused her to become friends with Queen Fluttershy/Gaia, who also suffered from the same thing for much of her life.
  • Ethnic God: As an Alicorn, she represents all mortal Pony tribes and can manifest any of their chimeric traits (and accompanying tribal magics) at will.
  • Faint in Shock: This happens to her twice.
    • Much like Aoide, she fainted upon meeting Blue Suede Heartstrings and realizing she's meeting with the Second Age's greatest musician.
    • She fainted again when she woke up healed in the Fourth Age thanks to her 'Perpetuity' mutation... and discovered to her shock that not only did she wake up in a completely different time, but a memorial statue of her had been erected to honor her Heroic Sacrifice in the Third Age.
  • Fish out of Temporal Water: Having returned after being missing for thousands of years, she is completely out of the loop in regards to the Fourth Age, and for that matter anxious about her entire situation.
  • Founder of the Kingdom: She is considered to be the true founder of Mousikós because she was the one who ignited the magic nexus beneath the Castle of Music with her divine power. However, when Melody/Aoide offered her the throne following her resurrection and return in the Fourth Age, she turned it down, telling Melody/Aoide she deserved the throne for all the heroics she did.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Got herself vaporized trying to protect her friends from an energy beam fired by Father D'agah and Mother Huthi, and her death was mourned. No one expected her to unexpectedly come back from it.
  • Humble Hero: Like Blue Suede, her mentor, she's very humble and never brags about her talents or successes. However, as shown with what happened to Blue Suede, her humility can go too far, which Blue Suede has been trying to help her overcome.
  • Magic Hair: She has a pink and purple mane and tail made of musical energy.
  • Magic Music: As a goddess of Music, she has similar powers as other Music deities like Blue Suede Heartstrings, such as sound magic. And like Blue Suede, she can use various instruments to channel her powers.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Princess of Song", due to being a talented and experienced singer who later came to embody Music upon Ascending to godhood.
  • Mentor Archetype: At one point, she helped mentor Queen Aoide in the latter's mortal youth, leading to Aoide idolizing her. Two Ages later, following her resurrection in the Fourth Age, she became a mentor to Aoide's sisters, Princesses Mese and Nete, after settling down in Mousikós so they could Ascend to true godhood.
  • Modest Royalty: Despite being an Alicorn Princess, she normally prefers to wear casual clothing. When she does wear barding, she prefers pastel-pink jewel barding.
  • Mutants: She's a divine 'Perpetual', which gives her a type of immortality that not only gives her an advanced Healing Factor, but also allows her to come back regenerated every time she's killed or grievously injured. This is what let her survive being vaporized by an attack made by Father D'agah and Mother Huthi, which she was protecting her friends from, though it took her thousands of years to fully regenerate from it. However, it's not perfect, as she can still be knocked out, sealed away, and/or incapacitated, and she has been told to avoid relying on her Perpetuity-based immortality as dying (as shown with her first death) can take a toll on her sanity. There are also a few ways in which she can be killed, though they're noted to be extremely rare.
  • Offered the Crown: After her resurrection and reemergence in the Fourth Age, she would be offered the crown and throne of Mousikós by Queen Aoide, owing to her being its true founder. She turned both down, stating that Aoide genuinely deserved to rule in light of her heroic deeds.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: Part of her mane and tail is pink. Though she's reserved and shy, she's also a kindhearted, humble, and friendly mare who is very supportive of her friends, as evidenced by her domain of Support. She also has an innocent, childlike personality due to coming from the Third Age.
  • Super-Empowering: As a goddess of Support, she can psychologically and magically empower others by granting them buffs through words of encouragement. Likewise, she gets stronger when the reverse is done with her.
  • Waking Up Elsewhere: Played With. She woke up in the middle of the ocean near where she 'died', but found her surroundings altered dramatically to the point of unrecognizability. Then she discovered that she had woke up elsewhere in time, rather than in space - thousands of years had passed since she was killed in battle against the Abyssal Ones.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Weaponized. As a goddess of Support, she embodies the empowering aspects of encouragement, and she can grant buffs to her allies by giving them supporting words. The reverse can also happen to her, making her stronger.

    Princess Belladonna Heartstrings

Classification: Ethereal/Elemental/Ascendant

Portfolio: Poison, Arthropods, Music

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"Get ready to rock n' roll tonight! AWOOOOO!"

Princess Belladonna Heartstrings (her entry here) is the Canicorn goddess of Poison, Arthropods, and Music, and is a daughter of Blue Suede Heartstrings who is a Punk rocker.
  • Abstract Apotheosis: She eventually went from a demigoddess to a true goddess with the help of her family and friends.
  • Affectionate Nickname: She is called "Bella" by Blue Suede and (presumably) her friends and the rest of her family.
  • All Your Powers Combined: Being half-Alicorn gives her the combined magics of all mortal Pony tribes.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Canicorn goddess who embodies Poison, Arthropods, and Music.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Her Cutie Mark is a belladonna flower with a wasp crawling on it, which refers to her domains of Poison and Arthropods, since a wasp is a poisonous insect. It also refers to her Jerk with a Heart of Gold personality — while she is a blunt, rebellious punk who doesn't get along with authorities well, she does have a kinder side and is good with children.
  • Battle of the Bands: In her demi-divine youth, she would form a garage band and enter a battle of the bands while in high school. Unfortunately, a group of bullies cornered her and destroyed her band's instruments to torment her, and she ran home crying and hid herself in her room. Thanks to support from her father, Blue Suede Heartstrings (who also made sure her bullies were punished for their actions), her mother, and her bandmates, she got better and tried again, though this time she made sure to protect her band's instruments by covering them with spiders. During the actual battle of the bands, Blue Suede made it clear that she was not to be given special treatment for being related to him, or negative treatment for her being a hybrid. While her band didn't win, they still scored very highly, which was enough for her.
  • The Beastmaster: As a goddess of Arthropods, she can control all kinds of bugs, including spiders, scorpions, and stink bugs. After her band's previous instruments were destroyed by bullies, she summoned a swarm of harmless spiders to discourage anyone from doing it again.
  • Brutal Honesty: She's extremely honest to the point of being blunt, and always speaks what's on her mind. However her honesty can sometimes cause problems via accidentally insulting others when she really didn't intend to.
  • Bullying a Dragon: Defied; her bullies knew that directly confronting her in a fight was a bad idea since she was a demigoddess. Instead, they decided to torment her another way by cornering her, preventing her from interfering while they destroyed her band's instruments. It bit them in the collective flank when Blue Suede Heartstrings learned what happened and made sure his daughter's bullies were punished for their actions.
  • Cool Big Sis: Following her father's psychological recovery and subsequent crowning(s), she would become a good older sister to various "Karma Babies", who were magically spawned from the positive karmic backlashes of Blue Suede's actions.
  • Deity of Human Origin: She originally was a demigoddess due to her father being a true god and her mother being a mortal Diamond Dog. Later on, with the help of her friends and family, she would Ascend to true godhood.
  • Delinquent Hair: Unlike her father, who wears a pompadour, she wears a mohawk as part of her Punk getup.
  • Divine Parentage: Her father is Blue Suede Heartstrings, an Alicorn god. Her mother is a mortal Diamond Dog Blue Suede fell in love with and married, resulting in their daughter being born a hybrid.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Being half-Diamond Dog gives her the Diamond Dogs' natural Earth magic.
  • Face of a Thug: Being part-Diamond Dog through her mother, her large size and wolfish features can make her rather intimidating. She exploits this by using her looks to frighten her enemies in combat.
  • Following in Relative's Footsteps: Double-subverted. Though talented in music like Blue Suede, she plays Punk rock instead of classic rock like her father. In her youth, she did try it and was very good at it, but felt classic rock wasn't the right style for her and eventually confessed this to Blue Suede. Thankfully, Blue Suede was very supportive, and with his blessing, she changed music genres to fit her tastes better.
Princess Belladonna Heartstrings: Yeah, sorry pops, it just ain't my thing. I can't get into it.
Blue Suede Heartstrings: Oh, no problem, Bella. Ah don't care if you're into rock or even into music at all. You're my pup, and Ah love ya no matter what.
  • Friendly Rivalry: At one point, she became musical rivals with Princess Winter Opera, a former student of her father, Blue Suede Heartstrings, and the Alicorn goddess of Dark Magic, Potential, and Defiance. It later evolved to Sibling Rivalry after Winter Opera became the joint-daughter of Blue Suede and Luminiferous, but they still remained on amicable terms.
Princess Belladona Heartstrongs: So, Winny, looks like we're sisters now.
Princess Winter Opera: Looks like it, Bella.
Princess Belladona Heartstrings: Well, don't expect me to go easy on ya just because you're my big sis now.
Princess Winter Opera: Hehe. Wouldn't expect anything else.
  • Friend to All Children: While a rebellious Punk, she tends to be much nicer around children than she is around adults.
  • Half-Breed Discrimination: In her youth, she faced discrimination for being an Equcanine (a Diamond Dog/Pony hybrid). One incident involved her being cornered by a group of bullies who tormented her by destroying her band's instruments out of cruelty, since they can't confront a demigoddess like her directly. She was so hurt by this that she ran home crying and isolated herself in her room, and while Blue Suede Heartstrings made sure the bullies were punished for their racism, the damage was done and it was some time before she gathered the courage to try performing again. Blue Suede also made sure the judges presiding over the Battle of the Bands wouldn't vote against her and her band out of racism, even as he warned them not to give her any special treatment for her Divine Parentage.
  • Hard-Drinking Party Girl: Downplayed. It's noted she can be a bit of a party girl, but Blue Suede's positive influence made her careful about it. She also avoids doing drugs, even though as a demigoddess (and later true goddess), she is unaffected by mortal drugs.
  • Hell-Bent for Leather: Part of her favorite outfit is a studded, false leather black jacket.
  • Heroic BSoD: When Blue Suede had a meltdown that nearly corrupted him and fell into a coma afterward, she spent the entire incident frazzled and afraid for her father's well-being. Once Blue Suede woke up from his coma, she would hug him and comfort him as he recovered from his meltdown.
  • Hybrid Power: Being a Canicorn (a Diamond Dog/Alicorn hybrid) gives her the combined magics of her parent races: Her Diamond Dog traits give her Earth magic, enhanced smell, and natural digging abilities, while her Alicorn traits give her the combined magics of all mortal Pony tribes.
  • Instrument of Murder: Like her father, she has a divinely-enchanted guitar which she uses to channel her Magic Music powers.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She's rude, abrasive, and extremely blunt, and doesn't get along with authority figures very well. But she also loves children, is kind to her fans, very protective of her friends, and, like her father, hates Fantastic Racism with a passion.
  • Like Father, Unlike Son: Zigzagged; while she's different from her father in many ways, she's similar to him in others. For one, while she became a musician like Blue Suede, she delved into punk rock instead of classic rock, her father's preferred genre. She's also a Jerk with a Heart of Gold whereas Blue Suede is a Nice Guy and Humble Hero. They both hate Fantastic Racism, however, and show compassion to those who were on the receiving end of it.
  • Magic Hair: She has a purple Pony-like mane and tail made of poison.
  • Magic Music: As a goddess of Music, she has powers similar to those possessed by her father and other Music deities, like Sound magic, musical empowerment, and music-based attacks. She channels her powers through her divinely-enchanted guitar, but unlike her father, who plays classic rock, she plays Punk rock.
  • Mistaken for Romance: Due to their close friendship and similarities as canine hybrid goddesses, many believed that both Princess Honey Bee and Belladonna were in a lesbian relationship. However, whereas Honey Bee is bisexual, Belladonna is straight, so their supposed relationship is ultimately just rumors.
  • Nepotism: Defied. Blue Suede made sure she didn't get any special treatment in the Battle of the Bands contest she entered for being his daughter, while also making it clear that she is not to be mistreated for being a hybrid. While she and her band didn't win, they nonetheless scored highly and that was enough for her.
  • Oppose What You Suffered: Like her father, she hates racism, though in her case she was on the receiving end of it in her school days due to being a Pony/Diamond Dog hybrid. Her experiences made her very kind and supportive towards victims of racism in general.
  • Our Werewolves Are Different: Averted. She's actually a Diamond Dog/Alicorn hybrid, with her mother being a Malamute Diamond Dog. But her half-Diamond Dog traits, combined with her huge size, has gotten her mistaken for a Werewolf sometimes. Not helping this is her preference to wear face paint to emphasize her wolfish appearance.
  • The Paralyzer: As a goddess of Poison, she can use poison to paralyze her targets.
  • Pest Controller: As a goddess of Arthropods, she can control all kinds of arthropods like spiders, stink bugs, and scorpions. She can also morph parts of her body to resemble certain traits of her chosen animals for offense or defense.
  • Poisonous Person: As a goddess of Poison, she has the same powers as Princess Daphné Odora Moufette, being capable of generating all kinds of poisons and complete immunity to poison in general. However, she's weaker than Daphné due to being a younger goddess, and unlike Daphné, she focuses more on Poison's offensive aspects instead of its medical aspects. That said, she is careful to only use lethal force when necessary, mainly focusing on creating non-lethal poisons to deal with her foes. She also as a Pony-like mane and tail made of poison, and a body with poison running inside as befitting of her domain.
  • Running Away to Cry: After her bullies destroyed her band's instruments purely to spite her, she ran home sobbing and hid herself in her room. Blue Suede was furious when he learned what happened and made sure her bullies were punished, but the incident still traumatized her. Fortunately, thanks to her parents and friends' support, she got better, and this time made sure to protect her band's stuff by summoning harmless spiders to cover them.
  • Semi-Divine: She originally was a demigoddess due to her father being a true god and her mother being a mortal Diamond Dog. Later on, with the help of her friends and family, she would Ascend to true godhood.
  • Sensory Overload: As a Canicorn with half-Diamond Dog heritage, she is vulnerable to foul odors due to her canine sense of smell. This makes it all the more touching when she braved the horrible stench of Nittunak's musk (one of the foulest odors on the planet) to comfort her father, Blue Suede, even if just being near him made her nearly hurl many times and her nose feel like it was on fire.
  • A Shared Suffering: She is very compassionate and supportive towards victims of racism, having gone through the same thing in her youth for being an Equcanine hybrid.
  • So Proud of You: She was very proud of Blue Suede after he realizes that it's okay to feel healthy pride, as she always felt confident in her own talents and achievements.
  • Technicolor Toxin: A "Purple Poison" example. Due to her nature as a goddess of Poison, she has a mane and tail made of poison, while her fur has purple lines that indicated where poison ran under her skin. All these traits are colored purple.
  • Who Wants to Live Forever?: Being an immortal goddess like her father and Ascendant siblings, she was hit hard by the end of the Second Age, as well as losing her mortal mother and bandmates to old age. Fortunately, she would recover and continue doing her best as a musician throughout the Ages.
  • Winged Unicorn: She's a Canicorn, an Alicorn with Diamond Dog traits due to her father being an Alicorn and her mother being a mortal Malamute Diamond Dog. Due to her hybrid heritage and divine age, she has eldritch traits likek a mane and tail made of poison, and purple lines on her fur where poison runs under her skin.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: After Blue Suede was skunked by Nittunak, she proceeded to give her father a pep talk and assure him that being flawed doesn't make him a bad person... despite being near-crippled herself by the foul smell due to her canine senses.

Prince Racconto Mousikós-Corporatum, the Prince of Dreams

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal/Eldritch

Portfolio: Death, Dark Magic, Storytelling, Dreams

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"Even though I lost my dream, I help others reach theirs so they could have what I was denied."

Prince Racconto Mousikós-Corporatum, born Rock Opera (his entry here), is the Alicorn god of Death, Dark Magic, Storytelling, and Dreams, and is the father of Melody, a member of the Virtuous Seven.
  • Abstract Apotheosis: He Ascends to demi-godhood by, with Moon Ray's help, realizing the harm he was inflicting on others with his resentment and deciding to be the better stallion. Later on, he would Ascend to true godhood under Malus Manes' tutelage.
  • The Ace: He's a naturally gifted musician with a knack for storytelling, and his rock ballads were extremely popular when he was alive. It's believed In-Universe that had he not died in a plane crash, he would have rivalled and even surpassed Blue Suede Heartstrings as the greatest musician of the Second Age. However, it's deconstructed in how he was worn down by various hardships and tragedies that left him a psychological mess, and how his flaws and insecurities impacted everyone around him. He does get therapy for said flaws and insecurities, which helped him a great deal, though his entry makes it clear that they will never go away completely.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Friends and family called him "Rocky".
  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Following the "Applewood Rescue" event, he felt so guilty for what he had done as a celebrity of Applewood that he begged Malus Manes to drag him off to the Hell-Realms as he deserved. Malus Manes refuses, having recognized his genuine remorse, and instead turns him into an Angel of Death so he could properly atone for his crimes.
  • All Just a Dream: Post-Eldritch Transformation, he admitted to dreaming about other people's dreams to the point where he wonders if he's real or actually part of a dream himself.
  • All Your Powers Combined: As an Alicorn, he has the combined magics of all mortal Pony tribes.
  • Angelic Transformation: Despite his wishes to be Dragged Off to Hell and be punished for his crimes against the town of "Applewood", he instead gets turned into an Angel of Death by Malus Manes, who recognized his guilt and repentance as genuine and gave him the position so he could properly atone for his actions.
  • Animalistic Abomination: Following the "Cosmic Prophet Debacle", he became one thanks to being exposed to Caelum Filum's presence and powers. In his case, he became a dream-like Alicorn whose appearance constantly shifts and distorts as if merged with a dream, reflecting the dreams (and dying dreams) of those around him. His wings are mirrors that reflect a person's deepest desires and other paths they could've taken, like a crowd of people looking at the viewer through a window on the other side. His mane and tail started show images of various stories and the people involved in them, both real and fictional. His face is the most eldritch as it constantly cycles through alternate versiosn of himself, similar to the face of Moon Ray/Canticum's Equus form, Kelahiran Semula Cahaya.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Alicorn god who embodies Death, Dark Magic, Storytelling, and Dreams.
  • Arch-Enemy: He sees War Rock as this. He not only sees War Rock as everything he could've become if he didn't humble himself, but also hates him for attacking his daughters, especially Melody, whom War Rock vampirized and tried turning into his Sex Slave more than once. After War Rock was killed by Melody and Ace, he helped the Trimortidae drag War Rock's damned soul to the Hell-Realms (with Malus Manes' permission), and after Ascending to godhood, he proceeded to torment War Rock himself. Naturally, he was enraged to find War Rock among the revived villains during the "Dark Ages Crisis", and War Rock stealing the godhood of one of Blue Suede's friends gave him incentive to later help others drag War Rock's soul after the latter's death to face punishment in Nekelmu's Hell-Realms. Unfortunately, it's deconstructed when his hatred of War Rock led to him distrusting War Rock's illegitimate children, many who had nothing to do with their father's evil and/or disowned War Rock as their parent. He eventually came to realize he was wrong to judge them based on their parentage after getting to know them, and even accepted that Good Needs Evil after clashing with Prince Dissonant Tune.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: His Cutie Mark is an open book with a large, red treble clef floating above it, symbolizing his talent in musical story-telling.
  • Back from the Dead: He was among the many musicians and celebrities who were revived during the "Big Comeback Tour" so they could have a second chance. Unfortunately, while he does get to reunite with his daughters, he discovers most of his old bandmates were dead (or close to it), and his status as an escaped spirit made him a target for both the Trimortidae and the Three Deaths, pushing him to side with the wicked celebrities of Applewood. He still dies later on, but his genuine repentance and actions in betraying his wicked peers are what kept him from being Dragged Off to Hell by Malus Manes and his children.
  • Bad Powers, Good People: He's a god of Dark Magic as well as Death, but he is a genuine Jerk with a Heart of Gold despite his many flaws and failings.
  • Black Magic: Subverted. While his domain of Dark Magic makes him capable of casting powerful curses and hexes, he can also use schools of magic that are only considered 'dark' in use, like elemental magic, alchemy, and psionic magic. He also uses his domain to punish wicked spellcasters who either didn't use their magic constructively or brought others to ruin with it.
  • Broken Ace: He's a prodigy musician and storyteller whose rock ballads were extremely popular in his time, and it was believed In-Universe that had he lived, he would have potentially rivalled and even earned Blue Suede Heartstrings' position as the greatest musician of the Second Age. However, he also has a lot of psychological issues that were compounded by his sudden, early death, which colored his relationships with others and alienated them. Thankfully, he has sought out therapy for his issues, with Mentálne being one of many psychiatric deities helping him out.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Justified. Following his Eldritch Transformation, he began developing a strange, alien mindset where he became aware of — and directly interacts with — the presence of dreams and the entities existing witin the wider Dream realm. This led to seemingly nonsensical conversations with entities other people cannot see. He also knows of people's true selves within the dream, making his interactions with others in the waking world incredibly unnerving at times. He also admits to dreaming about other people's dreams and wondering if he's real or part of a dream himself.
  • Cosmic Plaything: Deconstructed. Because he suffered various hardships and tragedies throughout his existence, he started feeling like the world was out to get him for choosing to pursue music and resented his lot in life. Yet his Guilt Complex pushes him to internalize his suffering, making him believe that he deserved everything he went through as punishment for his time as an arrogant Jerkass. This comes to a head when he ends up alienating his wife and daughters postmortem, later causing him to break down and rant to his friend Moon Ray about how he hated his present situation, yet believes it's well-deserved because of the mistakes he made, both real and perceived.
Rock Opera: I... I dreamed of being a famous musician since foalhood. I worked hard to get where I was! I even got married to a loving wife and had three fillies who thought the world of me! Then all my dreams broke when the damn plane I was on crashed and killed us all! I was stuck here for many years, watching as my wife and girls lived and grew up without me! Not only that, Blue Suede did what I couldn't - be there for my family! And that damn War Rock, always lusting after my oldest kid...! This is all my fault.
Moon Ray Vaughoof: Rocky, it ain't-
Rock Opera: YES IT IS! I was an arrogant little cazzo back then and the world won't let me forget it! No matter how hard I try or how good I am, SOMETHING goes wrong! My twin daughters won't talk to me, my wife is angry with me, and EVERYTHING ELSE besides! I HATE THIS PLACE! I HATE BEING DEAD! I HATE EVERYTHING! I... I... I just want to be a famous rockstar and be with my family, that's all I ask for. Even ONE GOOD DAY is enough. But this... if this is my punishment...
  • Cynicism Catalyst: He had issues when he was alive, but thanks to Blue Suede Heartstrings and seeking out therapy, he became mostly well-adjusted by the time he got married to Timely Aid and had three daughters with her, and things were looking up for him. Then he suddenly dies in a plane crash that killed everyone on board, tearing him away from his family and destroying his dreams of stardom, causing him to fall apart emotionally and mentally. He even briefly becomes a villain in part because of it. Fortunately, he does get better, but it took him a long time to recover because of his ingrained stubbornness, resentment, and Guilt Complex.
  • Death by Adaptation: While Melody's mother is shown in My Little Pony Tales, her father wasn't. Here, he's revealed to have been an up-and-coming rockstar who died in a plane crash just when he was going to make it big, leaving behind his wife and three daughters.
  • Death Seeker: As a result of his inability to properly grieve his grandmother's death, his bandmates mistreating him for his previously arrogant behavior, and people sending him hate mail telling him that he deserves to die, he started internalizing his guilt to such an unhealthy degree that he became suicidal as a result. He eventually gets better once he starts seeing a therapist for it, and those who mistreated him (including his bandmates) are called out by those who are disgusted with their actions, especially after Timely Aid publicly released all the hate mail he received while recovering in the hospital.
  • Deity of Human Origin: He originally was a mortal Earth Pony who first became an Angel Death, then a Death god after realizing and letting go of his bitterness, anger, and resentment towards his early death. After being exposed to Caelum Filum's power and presence during the "Cosmic Prophet Debacle", he became an eldritch Alicorn with dream and story-like properties.
  • Dem Bones: As an Angel of Death, he had the option of appearing as a skeletal version of himself, and he retained this ability after becoming a God of the Dead.
  • De-power: As a god of Dark Magic, he can strip people of their magic indefintely, which he uses to punish genuinely wicked spellcasters.
  • Disappeared Dad: Justified. He died in a plane crash just when he was about to become a globally famous musician, shortly after Melody's younger sisters, Ting-A-Ling and Jing-A-Ling, were born. Melody was understandably devastated, but ultimately chose to honor her father's memory by living up to his dream of making it big. He eventually does reunite with his wife and daughters after they die, and even ushered Melody's soul into the Heaven-Realms himself.
  • Divine Parentage: He would be adopted by Malus Manes as one of his sons after Ascending to godhood, making him a grandson of Obitus Equus, the first and oldest of Equinekind's Death gods, by adoption.
  • Don't Fear the Reaper: Like his adoptive father, Malus Manes, he is a divine punisher of the wicked and therefore not someone people want to meet when they die. However, he genuinely loves his family and friends, is more than willing to admit when he screwed up and atone for it, and goes after wicked people to protect innocents from being harmed by them. Even after becoming an eldritch god of Death, he's still more or less the same, albeit a little kooky.
  • Dragged Off to Hell:
    • Averted; he felt so guilty for what he did to the town of "Applewood" that when he was met by Malus Manes, he begged to be taken to the Hell-Realms and punished as he deserved. However, Malus Manes turned him into an Angel of Death instead, having recognized his guilt and repentance as genuine.
    • Later invoked; following his Ascension to demi-godhood, he would be adopted by Malus Manes, becoming a divine punisher who drags the souls of wicked people away to their eternal torment. While he mostly does this to mortal sinners, he also helps drag those who broke Primeval Law regarding the irreversible warping of people's dream worlds, as he embodies Dreams as a concept. He notably did this twice with War Rock; first he helped the Trimortidae drag away War Rock's spirit after the latter's first death (with Malus Manes' permission), then after becoming a Death god he helped drag War Rock's spirit away to Nekelmu's Hell-Realms due to War Rock stealing the godhood of one of Blue Suede's friends.
  • Dream Walker: Following his Eldritch Transformation, his Dreams domain evolved and gave him the power to directly enter people's dreams, as well as the wider Dream Realm.
  • Dream Weaver: Following his Eldritch Transformation, his Dreams domain evolved and gave him the power to create and alter dreams and nightmares, affect and kill malicious Dream entities like Dream Demons, and summon Dream entities into the waking world to help him fight (as well as see and talk to them). He can also create dream worlds to provide sanctuaries for those facing danger in the dream world.
  • Eldritch Transformation: After being exposed to Caelum Filum's presence and power, he transformed into an eldritch Alicorn with dream-like qualities such as a body that reflected the dreams of those around him, mirror-like wings that show desires and what could've been, a mane and tail that shows images of characters from various stories, and a constantly shifting face. While not as drastic as Moon Ray/Canticum's transformation, his form is still incredibly unnerving and thus he prefers to appear in less maddening forms.
  • Elemental Powers: As a god of Dark Magic, one school of magic he can access is elemental magic.
  • Ethnic God: As an Alicorn, he represents all existing Pony tribes as he is able to manifest their traits and use their tribal magics.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Despite siding with the wicked celebrities of "Applewood", he was genuinely digusted with their more depraved actions and started doubting his choices. He initially tried denying it, but being confronted by Blue Suede and Melody during the "Applewood Rescue" event forced him to finally see that he was wrong to do what he did, leading to him betraying his wicked peers when the opportunity came.
  • Face–Heel Turn: His sheer desperation to have a second chance at life eventually pushed him to side with the escaped wicked celebrities of "Applewood", taking part in their atrocities against the town's captive residents if it meant fulfilling his dreams of stardom to some degree. However, thanks to his daughter Melody and his mentor Blue Suede Heartstrings, he realizes what a monster he became and betrayed the wicked celebrities, though he bade his time to avoid suspicion until the right moment came for him to pull off the betrayal.
  • Family Theme Naming: His name is Rock Opera, his oldest daughter's name is Melody, and his younger twin daughters' names are Ting-A-Ling and Jing-A-Ling. His Third-Age descendants, the Muse Quartet, get on this, too — their birth names consist of Melody, Jazzy, Muse, and Rocky.
  • Foreign Cuss Word: He tends to use Bitalian swear words a lot when angry, such as "cazzo" ("fuck", "dick"). It's justified, as growing up in a family containing Bitalian immigrants led to him becoming bilingual in Ponish and Bitalian, so he tends to swear in both languages.
  • Foreign-Language Tirade: He sometimes speaks in full Bitalian when extremely angry. One notable example happened while he was furiously tormenting War Rock's damned shade in revenge for the latter tormenting Melody, his oldest daughter, in the Second Age. This is justified; he's bilingual in both Ponish and Bitalian as a result of growing up in a family containing Bitalian immigrants,
Rock Opera: Fottuto parassita! Ti lasci sempre sfuggire gli altri per diventare un dio, non importa quante vite hai rovinato nel processo! note
  • Forgiveness: While he was greatly affected by his Eldritch Transformation and the visions he saw of what could've been had he lived, he ultimately refused to resent Moon Ray/Canticum for it and forgave him, especially after seeing his friend suffering in a much worse condition.
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: What finally gets him change for the better is him alienating his wife and daughters with his resentment, which leads to Moon Ray pointing out that he's becoming little different from War Rock in terms of how they resented being denied what they thought was theirs. Realizing he had become a toxic and selfish person, he decides to become the better stallion and apologize to everyone he hurt. This tremendous act of growth triggered his Ascension to godhood, and it's revealed Malus Manes was counting on him to come to this realization through Moon Ray, who by this point had matured emotionally and mentally, knowing that despite their history, Moon Ray understood him the most and therefore the one to make him come to his senses.
  • Generation Xerox: He met his future wife, Timely Aid, while recovering in the hospital from an implied drug overdose. They fell in love, and he shaped himself up in order to be with her. Years later, his daughter, Melody, would meet, befriend, and later marry Ace under similar circumstances. And like him, Melody would have a huge ego that strained her relationships with her family and friends, until certain events humbled her and shaped her into a better person.
  • Gentle Giant: Downplayed. He was pretty tall as a mortal, and he got taller after becoming an Alicorn; notably, he was taller than Moon Ray/Canticum despite being much younger, due to the latter being rather short even as a god. Following the "Cosmic Prophet Debacle", he became even taller due to his Eldritch Transformation, though he is presently dwarfed by Moon Ray/Canticum, who re-Ascended and became a "Preeminent"-ranked god. He is also a Jerk with a Heart of Gold who, despite his many flaws and failings, is a genuinely heroic stallion who loves his family and friends, wants to help others achieve their dreams, and punishes the wicked for destroying other people's dreams.
  • Good Counterpart: To War Rock. While both were musical prodigies, Rock Opera was raised by parents who loved and supported him, whereas War Rock was constantly pushed to succeed since foalhood by his perfectionist parents. Both of them became arrogant jackasses, but Rock Opera turned his life around following a near-fatal overdose thanks to the positive influence of his then-future wife and mentor, Timely Aid and Blue Suede Heartstrings, respectively. War Rock, meanwhile, became a narcissistic sociopath who refused to change his ways and became a supervillain out of envy towards Blue Suede for becoming a god. While Rock Opera did die, he eventually accepts his death and comes out of it an Alicorn god, whereas War Rock's singleminded obsession with avoiding death later got him killed and Dragged Off to Hell for his crimes. They're also closely connected to Melody, but treat her differently — Rock Opera is Melody's father and genuinely loves her, whereas War Rock sees her as an Arch-Enemy and has tried turning her into his Sex Slave many times, to no avail. This contrast is further emphasized when Rock Opera was allowed by Malus Manes to help chase down War Rock's damned spirit upon the latter's death, and, after being adopted by Malus Manes, became one of many divine punishers who tormented War Rock for his crimes.
  • Good Parents: Despite his apparent flaws, he loves his three daughters very much, and made sure to help Melody avoid the same pitfalls he fell into in his youth as she grew older. When he died in a plane crash shortly after Ting-A-Ling and Jing-A-Ling's births, he was devastated, as it means he wouldn't be able to see his daughters grow up. In fact, it was his love for Melody that in part forced him to realize that he fell into his old ways by siding with the wicked celebrities of Applewood, causing him to pull a Heel–Face Turn and betray his peers to the Death deities looking for them.
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings:
    • As an Angel of Death, he gained black wings, something he appreciated.
    • As an Alicorn from the Second Age, he has a magical wing gradient going from white to red and black, signifying his age and power. After he was exposed to Caelum Filum's presence and power, his wings became mirrors that reflect a person's deepest desires and alternative paths when looked into, showing how eldritch he himself became.
  • Guilt Complex: Deconstructed. As a result of people constantly telling him he deserved to die and/or have bad things happen to him for being a bad person, he started internalizing his guilt to the point of blaming himself for even things that weren't his fault. When combined with his resentment, this created a Vicious Cycle — he constantly felt like the world owed him something and resented all the bad things he went through in his life, only to start feeling he deserved it for all the mistakes he made and silently endured his supposed "punishment" until his resentment flared up again. This got worse after he joined the wicked celebrities of Applewood and realized what he had done. As Moon Ray/Canticum pointed out to him, his guilt complex proved to be unhealthy as it fed into his belief that he must always be punished for his supposed sins, both real and perceived.
  • Happily Adopted: Following his first Ascension, he would be adopted by Malus Manes, having desired to help people achieve their own dreams and/or atone for their own mistakes.
  • Happily Married: A realistic example. He genuinely fell in love with Timely Aid, the nurse who treated him while he was recovering from a drug overdose and helped him through his issues, and eventually married her. Dying suddenly in a plane accident deeply embittered him in part because his death tore him away from Timely Aid and the daughters they sired together. While they do reunite in the Heaven-Realms, their marriage is strained largely by his resentment and bitterness, something he comes to realize with Moon Ray's help. Despite this, he and Timely Aid are devoted to each other and part of the reason why he transformed her into an Angel of Healing is so she could accompany him and keep him honest.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After initially siding with the wicked celebrities of "Applewood" in desperation to achieve his dreams of stardom, he eventually betrays them to both the Trimortidae and the Three Deaths, thanks to Blue Suede Heartstrings and Melody making him realize that he became a monster in trying to fulfill his dreams at the expense of others. However, he bade his time to avoid suspicion from his wicked peers until the right moment came for him to pull off his betrayal.
  • Hell-Bent for Leather: He generally wears a black and red leather jacket with studded shoulders, though he's noted to have worn various similarly dark outfits during his short musical career as a mortal.
  • Heroic Lineage: His oldest daughter, Melody, is a legendary superheroine and a member of the Virtuous Seven. One of his younger daughters, Ting-A-Ling, is a Beetleborg. He also, through Melody, become the ancestor of the ruling Muse Quartet of Mousikós.
  • I Coulda Been a Contender!: Deconstructed. He was an up-and-coming rockstar and musical prodigy who specialized in rock ballads, and was on his way to global stardom when he suddenly died in a plane crash. It's believed In-Universe that had he lived, he would have rivaled Blue Suede, his mentor, as the Second Age's greatest musician, and it would be his oldest daughter, Melody, who became a famous rockstar in order to fulfill her father's dream. While he was glad Melody followed in his hoofsteps, he was deeply embittered by his death — not only because his dreams were ruined, but also because he was torn away from his family. However, even after reuniting with his loved ones in the Heaven-Realms, he was unable to let go of his resentment and bitterness over dying early, influencing his friend Moon Ray, who sympathized with his troubles, to become almost as bad as him while alienating his loved ones. Eventually, it's reconstructed; what makes him realize the error of his ways is Moon Ray pointing out he's little different from War Rock because of how they both resented not getting what they wanted. He proceeds to apologize to everyone he hurt with his resentment, allowing him to Ascend to demi-godhood. He also admitted to thinking about what he would do once he actually achieved his dreams of stardom and came up with nothing, which contributed to his greater appreciation of all that he gained in the present.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Subverted. As deities get Stronger with Age in the Codexverse, he's an ancient Alicorn god from the Second Age with eldritch traits to show how old he is. Then there's his Eldritch Transformation, which gave him a relatively minor boost in physical appearance and power and turned him into an even more eldritch Alicorn, making him appear older than his actual divine age suggests.
  • Instrument of Murder: His main weapon, Sogni Infranti, is a red, worn-looking magitech guitar that resembles the electric guitars of the Second Age, and is both used to channel his spells and as a bludgeoning weapon in physical combat. Following the "Cosmic Prophet Debacle", his guitar has since been warped, gaining the ability to affect both eldritch and dream-based environments, entities, and objects.
  • Ironic Hell: As an adoptive son of Malus Manes, he rules over a Hell-Realm where the wicked dead receive punishments based on what crimes they committed and which domain they pertain to.
    • Those who perpetuated mass deaths or did horrible things in pursuit of immortality find themselves (among other things) being massacred in turn or subjected to fates where immortality is turned into a curse.
    • Those who used magic (including dark magic) to bring ruin to others or didn't use dark magic constructively are either robbed of their magic completely, turned into unwilling test subjects, and/or used as living batteries to power others' magic and/or technology.
    • Those who tried "changing the narrative" by dooming people to a lifetime of misery (and other horrible fates) to benefit themselves — whether out of bigotry, abusive perfectionism, resentment, etc. — are subjected to the same thing. For one, they're either forced to witness their victims living happy lives while unable to do anything about it, or experience bad endings themselves no matter what they do.
    • Those who cruelly and/or selfishly destroy people's dreams are trapped in their own worst nightmares, forced to experience the torment they subjected others to. However, those who broke Primeval Law by using dream magic to irrevocably warp people's dream worlds are dragged off to Nekelmu's Hell-Realms.
  • It's All My Fault: Deconstructed. After being constantly told by others that he deserved to die and/or have bad things happen to him for being an arrogant Jerkass, he started internalizing this to the point of developing a strong Guilt Complex. When combined with his resentment, this created a Vicious Cycle — he would start feeling resentful over being mistreated and/or denied what he wanted by others, then start rationalizing it as punishment for his sins until his resentment flares up again, rinse and repeat. This also led to him feeling like a Cosmic Plaything due to how much suffering and hardships he went through, which worsened after he briefly joined the wicked celebrities of Applewood, only to realize what he did. As Moon Ray/Canticum and others pointed out to him, this attitude is ultimately unhealthy since he is essentially obsessing over past mistakes along with every single bad thing that happened, even when he wasn't responsible for it.
  • Jerkass: Implied. He admits he "had not been the best person" before meeting Timely Aid and made a lot of stupid decisions that ultimately put him in the hospital. After meeting Timely Aid, he fell in love with her and genuinely changed himself for her sake.
  • Karmic Jackpot:
    • Despite initially giving his nurse, Timely Aid, a hard time while he was in the hospital, he slowly fell in love with her for her kindness and refusal to tolerate his antics. After his release from the hospital, he met Blue Suede Heartstrings and worked hard to improve his behavior and turn a new leaf. This not only won him back the adoration of the crowd (once everyone was shaken out of their self-righteousness towards him), but also gave him Timely Aid's love, as she reciprocated her feelings and later became his beloved wife.
    • While talking with Moon Ray, he realizes his bitterness and resentment wasn't doing himself or anyone any favors, which pushed him to let go of his past and apologize to everyone he hurt. This allowed him to Ascend to demi-godhood, and it turns out Malus Manes wanted this to happen, which is why he sent Moon Ray (who had done something similar and matured by this point) to redeem him.
    • His role in locating Rocky, the Muse Trio's lost sister, and uncovering what happened to her led to the Musical Ponies of Mousikós worshiping him out of gratitude after he joins the Mousikós Pantheon.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: As a mortal, Rock Opera was such a Jerkass to his own band, the Storytellers, and everyone else that no one visits him save his own family when he is hospitalized for a drug overdose — and even then, his family calls him out for his arrogant behavior. While this pops Rock Opera's ego, over time it's deconstructed when people start going too far — he receives hate mail telling him to go die, while his genuine grief over his grandmother's death is interpreted as him being an Attention Whore. Even after he genuinely turns a new leaf, Rock Opera's bandmates refuse to forgive him or accept his change of heart, and treat him coldly despite letting him back in. Then it's reconstructed when Rock Opera eventually snaps, calls his bandmates out on their abuse and No Sympathy attitude towards his grandmother's death, and abandons them in the middle of a concert they were performing to go back to Ponyville. This causes a few bandmates to regret their mistreatment and apologize to him, while those responsible for the hate mail eventually receive their own due karma when Timely Aid, Rock Opera's nurse-turned-fillyfriend-turned-wife, releases said hate mail to the public.
  • Lovecraftian Superpower: Following his Eldritch Transformation, his domain of Dark Magic would evolve to include eldritch magic, allowing him to use spells normally used by eldritch deities like the Abyssal Ones.
  • Love Redeems:
    • He was once a Jerkass who let his fame and status as a celebrity musician go to his head, causing him to mistreat his bandmates and others... that is, until he suffered a drug overdose that put him in the hospital. While recovering, he met Timely Aid, a nurse who helped him recover despite him being a problem patient. He fell in love with her and, after recovering, changed himself for the better before contacting her and confessing his feelings to her. To his joy, Timely Aid reciprocated, and by the time they married, he had become a better stallion.
    • This is what gets him to pull a Heel–Face Turn during the "Applewood Rescue" event. After Melody gets him to remember how he met Timely Aid and fell in love with her, he realizes just how far he had fallen and betrays the wicked celebrities he initially sided with to the Death deities looking for them. While his family and friends were understandably horrified by what he had done, they eventually came to forgive him.
  • Magic Hair: Post-Ascension, his mane and tail became composed of Storytelling energy. Following the "Cosmic Prophet Debacle", his mane and tail started showing images of various stories and the people involved in them, both real and fictional. Notably, this is a trait that is generally possessed by older deities, showing how Caelum Filum's presence and power had affected his physical appearance.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Prince of Dreams", due to being a god of Dreams who helps people fulfill their own dreams and protects them from those who want to crush said dreams out of malice.
  • Meaningful Name:
    • His birth name, Rock Opera, refers to a "rock opera", a collection of rock songs with lyrics that relate to a common story. He's a musician who's talented in writing rock ballads, and later became the Alicorn god of Storytelling.
    • His Alicorn name, Racconto, translates to "tale" in Italian, also referring to his rock ballads and domain of Storytelling.
  • Meaningful Rename: His birth name was Rock Opera, but after joining the Mousikós Pantheon, he was crowned as Prince Racconto Mousikós. Racconto translates to "tale" in Italian, referring to his rock ballads and domain of Storytelling.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: As an Alicorn, he has the chimeric traits of all mortal Pony tribes and can manifest them at will. He usually manifests the Musical Pony's chest gem due to being a member of the Mousikós Pantheon, but sometimes he manifests the Sea Pony's gills and aquatic tail.
  • Named by the Adaptation: Melody's birth father in canon had no name or presence. Here, his name is Rock Opera, though he later changes his name to Racconto Mousikós-Corporatum after joining his namesake pantheons and becoming a Prince.
  • Never Got to Say Goodbye: When his beloved grandmother died, he couldn't attend her funeral because he was still in the hospital recovering from a drug overdose. Even worse, many people mocked her death by saying he's a bad person to have it happen to him. Even his bandmates were completely unsympathetic, thinking he was just an Attention Whore making things up. This in part contributed to his suicidal feelings, something that caused many to regret their poor behavior when they learn of it. While he was able to reconcile with — and later visit — his grandmother's spirit thanks to Bossa Nova Heartstrings, the experience left him with a deep hatred for those who demean others for grieving, as some of the Virtusidae learned the hard way following Prince Shamrock Bloom's attempted suicide.
  • Nightmare Weaver: As a god of Dreams, he gained the power to create and alter nightmares following his Eldritch Transformation. He uses this power to punish wicked souls who destroyed people's dreams for malicious ends in life.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: He ends up being compared to War Rock by Moon Ray, who pointed out they both let their own resentment over being denied what they wanted color their behaviors and interactions with others. While initially angered to hear this, he realizes Moon Ray was right and decided to be the better stallion by apologizing to everyone he hurt with his resentment, including his familiy and Blue Suede. This is what triggers his Ascension to demi-godhood.
  • O.C. Stand-in: Melody's father was never shown or mentioned in canon, implying either his death or abandonment. Here, he's depicted as an up-and-coming rockstar, husband, and father of three who died in a plane crash before his career could really take off, but inspired his oldest daughter, Melody, to become a musician herself. He's also an ancient Death god and a member of the Trimortidae.
  • Oh, My Gods!: He says, "dio mio," ("oh my god") in shock upon realizing he's talking to Blue Suede Heartstrings, the Second Age's greatest musician. During the "Applewood Rescue" event, after Blue Suede and Melody make him realize he was becoming a monster by siding with the escaped wicked celebrities the Trimortidae were looking for, he utters, "Oh dèi," ("oh gods") in horror. Humorously, he also frustratedly says, "Il sedere di Mag'ne," ("Mag'ne's backside") while arguing with a Dream entity over a guitar he owned that the Dream entity desired to have.
  • Oppose What You Suffered:
    • He absolutely despises those who mistreat their family and friends, or ruin other people's lives and/or dreams out of malice, and reserves his worst punishments for them. Considering how he was a Jerkass in his mortal youth (before he wised up) and how his dreams of stardom died early with him in a plane crash, this is rather appropriate. His entry notes many of his targets for eternal damnation include corrupt musicians, celebrities, and racial/tribal supremacists, which come from his past experiences of letting fame go to his head and turning his hatred for the Oceanaiads into outright racism.
    • He also hates people who demean others for grieving, which stems from how many people told him he "deserved it" for losing his beloved grandmother and how even his own bandmates thought his genuine grief was just him being an Attention Whore. When he learned Shamrock Bloom's attempted suicide was due to some Virtusidae members' No Sympathy attitude towards Stitching Time's Fall and sealing, he furiously chewed them out for it, pointing out that as a Death god, he has the power to either dump them in a Hell-Realm for their actions or summon the spirits of their mothers, the Virtuous Seven, who won't be happy to hear some of their children drove Clover Bloom's son to try kill himself.
  • Our Angels Are Different: He gets turned into an Angel of Death by Malus Manes following the "Applewood Rescue", giving him black wings (which he appreciated) and the ability to turn into a skeletal version of himself. He also gains the power to usher souls into the proper afterlife realms, which includes dragging wicked souls off to the Hell-Realms and tormenting them.
  • Our Hippocamps Are Different: As an Alicorn, he can manifest the traits of a Sea Pony, which gives him water magic and the ability to swim and resist underwater pressure.
  • Papa Wolf: For all his flaws, he genuinely loves his daughters and is very protective of them. A huge reason why he hated War Rock is because his death prevented him from protecting his oldest, Melody, from War Rock, who constantly attacked and tried turning Melody into a Sex Slave many times. Fittingly, he would help drag War Rock off to a Hell-Realm twice, and after becoming a Death god, he would torment War Rock himself in revenge. However, it's deconstructed as his early death caused him to miss out on his daughters' growth, causing him to become overprotective and making his resentment issues worse, alienating his family. Once he realizes his mistake, he tries to make amends for it and forge a proper relationship with his daughters.
  • Parental Substitute: After discussing it with his family, he would adopt as his child one of the dead infant Dragons killed by Talon Bàisian Griffons to make Draco-Balut. However, he admits he had no experience with raising Dragons and needed a lot of help in raising his child.
  • Parents as People: Despite his apparent flaws and issues, he genuinely loves his three daughters and only wants the best for them. His love for them is what prompted him to betray the celebrities of Applewood after Melody reminded him of how he married her mother, Timely Aid, and was devastated when his resentment and overprotectiveness ended up straining his relationship with his family. Following the "Talon Bàis War", he would adopt the spirit of a dead infant Dragon as his child, and would treat them lovingly despite the difficulties in raising a Dragon.
  • Personality Powers: As a God of the Dead, he specifically embodies the eternal punishment that awaits the wicked upon death, much like Malus Manes and the rest of his adoptive siblings. This informs the rest of his domains, as many people abuse magic to hurt others (Dark Magic), try changing the "narrative" to ensure their victims live miserable lives (Storytelling), and/or crush people's dreams out of malice (Dreams). It's also believed In-Universe that his Dark Magic domain came from having a darker, if still heroic personality and temperament compared to his children.
  • Photographic Memory: As a god of Storytelling, he has a photographic memory pertaining to all stories and different versions of them, including his own.
  • Pocket Dimension: As a god of Storytelling, he can create pocket dimensions based on the story he's telling.
  • Psychic Powers: As a god of Dark Magic, one school of magic he can access is psionic magic.
  • Psychopomp: After genuinely repenting for his deeds as a wicked celebrity of Applewood, he was turned into an Angel of Death by Malus Manes, giving him the power to reenter the mortal planes to usher souls to their proper afterlife realms (or drag them off to the Hell-Realms if need be). After letting go of his resentment and bitterness, he became a God of the Dead.
  • Rage Breaking Point: After putting up with his bandmates' abuse of him for so long, he eventually snaps, chews them out for their behavior, then ditches them in the middle of a concert they were performing. This not only leads to the Storytellers splitting up, but also causes those few who remained to realize that his actions did not justify their actions — especially after Blue Suede Heartstrings and others called them out on making him guilt-ridden to the point of becoming suicidal.
  • Rambunctious Italian: He's half-Bitalian as he was born from the marriage of a Bitalian mother and a Ponylander father. He's also hot-tempered, foul-mouthed, and suffers from a lot of issues (including resentment and a huge Guilt Complex), but it's clear that he is a Jerk with a Heart of Gold who genuinely treasures his family and friends, sympathizes with those who had their dreams crushed, and is a Death god who specializes in punishing wicked souls. While there were times where he fell by the wayside (even briefly becoming a villain in desperation), he always bounced back thanks to receiving support and at times much-needed advice.
  • Reality Warper: As a god of Storytelling, he has a degree of reality-warping that allows him to, based on the story he's telling, do things like create environments and Pocket Dimensions, and summon characters, items, and other things from various stories. He can also trap his foes in stories where they can't change the narrative and are subject to his whims, which he uses as a punishment in his Hell-Realm. However, his powers are limited by the boundaries of the stories he uses, whether his own stories or other people's stories, or else his powers won't work.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Subverted. He has a two-tone red and black mane and tail, and he's presently a Mousikósian god of Death who works as a divine punisher, tormenting wicked souls for crushing people's dreams and misusing dark magic for genuinely nefarious goals (among other things). In his mortal youth, while not to War Rock's extent, he initially was a Jerkass with an inflated ego, leading to no one supporting him while he was in the hospital recovering from a drug overdose. Despite being sufficiently humbled, his sudden death in a plane accident sometime later caused him to backtrack into his old ways, to the point of becoming a bitter and toxic person who, after being revived joined the wicked celebrities of Applewood in desperation to return to his Glory Days. Thanks to his family and friends, especially Blue Suede, Melody, and Moon Ray, he gradually realized his various flaws and worked on overcoming them, allowing himself to Ascend to godhood.
  • Reformed, but Rejected: Deconstructed. In his mortal life, a combination of Laser-Guided Karma, Timely Aid's positive influence, and a young fan's letter made him realize what a Jerkass he was to everyone, and after getting out of the hospital and meeting Blue Suede Heartstrings, he genuinely tried to atone for his mistakes. Unfortunately, many people refused to forgive him or believe he was going straight, with his own bandmates emotionally abusing him in revenge for his past mistreatment of them. Eventually, he snapped and chewed out his band before ditching them in the middle of a concert. This later caused everyone to have a Jerkass Realization over how they treated him, especially after information on the hate mail he received while recovering in the hospital was released by Timely Aid, and those of his bandmates who regretted their actions later tracked him down and apologized to him. While he does accept their apologies and promises to treat them better, the entire incident caused him to internalize his guilt to the point of developing a huge Guilt Complex that would plague him for three Ages.
  • Sadist: He becomes sadistic when in the Hell-Realms, but like Malus Manes, he only acts this way as part of his duty to punish the wicked dead for their crimes in life.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: While he was angry with his band, the Storytellers, for emotionally abusing him, the final straw for him was learning his bandmates assumed he didn't change his ways and faked his grief over his grandmother's death to get more attention. After this, he ditches his bandmates in the middle of a concert they were performing and abandons the tour altogether, forcing them to cancel it. Worse, he did it because he had become suicidal and genuinely believed his band would fare much better if he was dead.
Rock Opera: Y'know what, buck this, I'm outta here.
    Storytellers: Where are you going?
Rock Opera: Away from you shitfaces. I-I can't believe you. If you wanted me out of the band so badly, you should've said so. I'll go find a new band or maybe... if it'll make you feel better, I'll go die somewhere so I'll FINALLY be out of your hair for good. I deserve it, after all...
  • Seers: As a Death god, he has clairvoyant abilities to predict a person's upcoming death. His Dark Magic domain likely grants true foresight as well, as it includes psionic magic.
  • Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll: Deconstructed. He lived a hedonistic lifestyle thanks to his newfound fame and wealth as a musician, and eventually, a near-fatal overdose put him in the hospital. Fortunately, this led to him meeting Timely Aid, his future wife, and Blue Suede Heartstrings, who became his mentor and encouraged him to pursue his crush.
  • A Shared Suffering:
    • Deconstructed with him and Moon Ray. He befriended Moon Ray over being musicians who died incredibly young before they could reach global stardom and start a life as husbands and fathers, but his toxic mindset at the time influenced Moon Ray to cling to his own past, becoming almost as bad as him. Following the "Applewood Rescue" event, he realizes his mistake and apologizes to Moon Ray for influencing him in that way, leading to their reconciliation.
    • While horrified by what she did to the Near East and being one of her most persistent enemies, he ends up symapthizing with Alraghba Malaka's traumatic backstory and how her dreams were cruelly destroyed by people who abused and looked down on her for coming from a poor background. He also understood her pain over being torn away from her true love, Prince Hasra, as he himself was torn away from his wife and daughters when he died in a plane crash. This actually left Alraghba genuinely shocked and upset to the point of falling in Stunned Silence.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: While he started wearing black and red barding with silver accents following his Ascension, he will at times wear other formal outfits like tuxedos.
  • Sinister Scythe: His secondary weapon, Incubo Infernale, is a scythe made of black wood that, paradoxically, is constantly burning. Following the "Cosmic Prophet Debacle", it has since been warped, gaining the ability to affect both eldritch and dream-based environments, entities, and objects. It's subverted as despite his many flaws, he is a genuinely heroic God of the Dead who, as an adoptive son of Malus Manes, focuses on punishing wicked souls for their crimes in life.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Like his oldest daughter, Melody/Melodia, he has a temper, except he also becomes prone to swearing when angry. Being fluent in Bitalian means that he often uses Foreign Cuss Words or goes into a Foreign-Language Tirade. Much of Melody/Melodia's understanding of the Bitalian language also consists of swear words because of it. He acknowledged this and has been trying to control it, however.
  • So What Do We Do Now?: He admitted to giving his dreams some thinking-over and coming up with nothing when he tried figuring out what he would do once he actually achieved his dream of global stardom. This helped mellow him out and gave him a greater appreciation of what he gained in the present.
  • Super-Empowering: As a god of Dark Magic, he can empower other users of dark magic, such as his mortal worshipers and other magically-inclined and/or sorcerous deities, making their spells stronger.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: While he becomes one of Alraghba Malaka's most persistent enemies following her unsealing and reemergence, he also ends up sympathizing with her because of her extremely tragic mortal life and how all her dreams were cruelly dashed by others for petty reasons. Notably, Alraghba was stunned silent upon hearing this, but also genuinely interested in him to the point of tempting him more than she did many of her other victims and opponents.
Sultanah Alraghba Malaka: Tell me, what is your greatest desire?
Rock Opera: Oh, I have lots of desires... but that isn't why I'm here.
Sultanah Alraghba Malaka: Oh? Do you plan to stop me from unleashing my dreaded torments upon the selfish little worms instead?
Rock Opera: Yes, I do... but I also want to say I understand your pain, bella signora.
    Sultanah Alraghba Malaka: "..."
Rock Opera: I died before I could achieve my dream of stardom, and for many years I watched as my wife and kids lived without me. I can only imagine how painful it is for you to wonder every day if your lost lover is dead or alive, and if your life would've been better if you stayed together or never even met at all.
  • Talking to Themself: Subverted. Following his Eldritch Transformation, his Dreams domain evolved to the point where he can see and talk to Dream entities... but because Dream entities are Invisible to Normals, many think he's just talking to himself and are weirded out by it.
  • Telepathy: As a god of Dreams, he represented lifelong dreams and thus possessed telepathic powers to sense even hidden and/or repressed dreams.
  • Took a Level in Badass: He started out as a mortal, unawakened Earth Pony. But after dying young in a plane crash and, years later, briefly joining the wicked celebrities of "Applewood", he gets turned into an Angel of Death by Malus Manes because his desire to repent is genuine. Then, after getting over his resentment and apologizing to those he hurt, he Ascends to demi-godhood, and it's under Malus Manes' tutelage that he Ascends to true godhood. He is later exposed to Moon Ray's eldritch presence and power after the latter turned into Caelum Filum, which not only turns him into an eldritch Alicorn, but also warps his domains so his powers become strong enough to affect even dream worlds.
  • Toxic Friend Influence: Deconstructed. While he befriended Moon Ray over dying young before they could reach their dreams and leaving behind a wife/fiancée they could have enjoyed a lifetime with, his feelings of bitterness and resentment created a toxic mindset that influenced Moon Ray to cling to his own past and nearly become as bad as him. He later realizes the error of his ways once he's forced by Melody and Blue Suede Heartstrings to see how far he had fallen, and would apologize to Moon Ray for being such a toxic influence on him. But tt's after Moon Ray points out how he's becoming similar to War Rock that he finally makes an effort to let go of his resentment.
  • Upbringing Makes the Hero: While he was born a music prodigy, his parents encouraged him to pursue music, but never pushed him to succeed or sought to capitalize on his talents. This instilled in him a sense of love and empathy that allowed him to bounce back and make up for his mistakes whenever he got called out on them. This also makes him a stark contrast to War Rock, another music prodigy whose spoiled upbringing by his demanding, perfectionist parents turned him into a sociopathic narcissist who refuses to humble himself or acknowledge the error of his ways, which ends up damning him.
  • Warrior Prince: He's presently an Alicorn Prince with three Ages worth of experience, thanks to living with the Three Deaths and the Trimortidae.

Princess Sincerus Pecunia Mousikós-Corporatum, the Honest Manager
See her folder entry here.

Prince Maestro, the Prince of Agents

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Music, Agents, Honest Executives

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"A good agent knows that the well-being of their client is more important than short term gain."

Prince Maestro (his entry here) is the Alicorn god of Music, Agents, and Honest Executives, and a benevolent member of the Virtusidae.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Alicorn god who embodies Music, Agents, and Honest Executives.
  • The Anti-Nihilist: As evidenced in his speech to a corrupt insurance company executive, he believes that life isn't fair, but sapient creatures can be and do have the power to make life fair. He sees anyone who says "Life Isn't Fair" as lazy, selfish people who don't want to be fair because they're mainly out for themselves and look for excuses to justify their actions.
  • Army of Lawyers: He has one, and he's far from adverse to using it. As several corrupt corporations and executives have found out the hard way, he's picked very good ones. It helps that he's extremely wealthy.
  • Beauty Equals Goodness: He's incredibly handsome, and it's noted he inherited his good looks from his parents, Melody and Ace, who were rather beautiful themselves. He is not only a Benevolent Boss to his own employees and agents, but also an Alicorn god who embodies the positive aspects of the music industries, such as Honest Executives.
  • Benevolent Boss: As CEO of Maestro Multimedia, he sees the physical and psychological health of both his employees and clients as his most important concern and a vital aspect for any business. He would also serve as a supportive agent for his entire family, as well as various superheroes during the Second Age. When he Ascended to godhood, he would come to embody Agents and Honest Executives, ensuring that many musicians and artists would never have to suffer from working with Corrupt Corporate Executives and other unsavory types. Blue Suede's oldest adoptive son, Prince Crystal Clear, turning out to be a fellow Benevolent Boss to his stage crews became a factor in them becoming friends.
  • Big Brother Instinct: As the oldest son and child of Melody and Ace, Maestro's very protective of his younger siblings, especially his younger sister, Sweet Music. He made sure Sweet Music avoided crooked managers, and would do the same with his other siblings until he could manage them himself. He even Ascended to godhood while protecting Sweet Music from supervillain Contract Killer, who was hired by a rival company to assassinate both Maestro and his sister.
Prince Maestro: Come after me all you want, but never touch my sister and never touch my client!
  • Cool Big Bro: He's the first-born of Melody and Ace's children, and he loved all of his younger siblings, especially his little sister, Sweet Music, to bits; even before he graduated from college, he made sure that his siblings avoided crooked managers. What allowed him to Ascend to godhood was his act of protecting Sweet Music from the supervillain Contract Killer, who was hired by a rival company of Maestro Multimedia's to kill them both. Naturally, he grieved when he ended up outliving his mortal siblings, incluing Sweet Music.
  • Divine Parentage: Inverted. He's a surviving son of Melody and Ace who managed to Ascend to godhood, thanks to spending much of his life learning under Blue Suede Heartstrings and saving his sister, Sweet Music, from a supervillain named Contract Killer. It's later played straight when both Melody and Ace come Back from the Dead as Alicorn demi-deities.
  • Fan-Created Offspring: He's an Original Character who is the Ascendant son of Melody and Ace, who got married and had children in the Codexverse.
  • Freudian Excuse: Inverted. The entire reason he wanted to become a Benevolent Boss to many musicians and artists is because he learned and saw for himself what happens when people end up with corrupt managers, such as "Colonel" Hollow Note and Shamrock's corrupt ballet manager.
  • Good Counterpart: To "Colonel" Hollow Note. Maestro I focuses on the overall well-being of his clients (including his mother, Melody, when she outlived her own agents), making sure they are supported and cared for throughout their entire careers so they could perform at their very best. Hollow Note, on the other hand, psychologically abused Blue Suede Heartstrings and ruthlessly exploited his musical talents and popularity for financial gain, creating lots of emotional trauma for Blue Suede that wouldn't be fully resolved until well into the Fourth Age. To further the contrast, Maestro I is a benevolent Alicorn god who embodies Agents and Honest Executives, whereas Hollow Note is a greedy, sociopathic mortal with a keen yet extremely ruthless business sense.
  • Good with Numbers: He was a mathematical prodigy even in his mortal youth, which got him tutored by Starlight and Bright Eyes. This increases once he Ascends and becomes a god of Honest Executives, enhancing his math skills to the point of becoming a living calculator.
  • Honest Corporate Executive: He is one, having served as an agent in his family's artistic and athletic pursuits, and has been his mother's agent after her previous ones died. While he shared his parents' talents in music and athletics, he's more interested in business and has combined those career options. Yet due to his heroic upbringing, he has the morals to keep himself from becoming corrupt like "Colonel" Hollow Note, the deceased abusive ex-manager of Blue Suede Heartstrings. He is dedicated to being an agent that "Uncle Blue would be proud of", which Blue decidedly is. After becoming an Alicorn, he would notably embody Honest Executives as a Concept, as well as Agents.
  • Insult Backfire: In response to [a corrupt video game company CEO's threats to not publish any games made by Maestro Multimedia, he fires back that it's a good thing, since he wouldn't want the CEO's company to tarnish his own company's reputation.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: He's good friends with Prince Crystal Clear, the oldest adoptive son of his Honorary Uncle Blue Suede/Caerulus. While they're both "Tier IV"-ranked gods, Crystal Clear is much older due to being born and having had Ascended before him. Much of their friendship stems from their shared experiences and hatred of Bad Bosses, as well as Crystal Clear's strong work ethic and willingness to protect his stage co-workers/crews from unsavory individuals, which he values.
  • Life Isn't Fair: Deconstructed and reconstructed. He agrees that life isn't fair, but believes sapient creatures can be fair and do have the power to make life fair, too. When a corrupt insurance company executive tries justifying his crimes with this excuse, he proceeds to utterly deconstruct the executive's excuse as the words of someone who perpetuates the unfairness of life because they're a selfish, greedy crook who is too lazy to make a difference.
  • Magic Hair: He has a light blue mane and tail that's made of musical energy, similar to Blue Suede Heartstrings' mane and tail.
  • Magic Music: As a god of Music, he has abilities similar to other Music deities, but with a unique twist: Rather than focusing on his own singing, it's focused on boosting others. He can create a magical soundboard that allows him to boost/amplify the music of others, which also includes bringing out a Pony's true musical potential. His powers can also bequeath magical musical abilities similar to those his mother possessed, and recently were discovered to allow him to supercharge the abilities of both Musical Ponies and other musical deities.
  • Meaningful Name: A "maestro" refers to a distinguished musician, especially one who specializes in classical music. Prince Maestro is an Alicorn god of Music and is skilled in music like his mother, but he also embodies Honest Agents and Executives, and is a trustworthy and honest individual overall.
  • MegaCorp: He owns a benevolent one in the form of Maestro Multimedia, which was one of the largest interstellar companies of the Second Age. He would resurrect it again in the Fourth Age and built it back up to one again.
  • Mentor Archetype: At one point, he volunteered to take in young Button Mash as his student, despite the colt being apprenticed under Luminiferous previously. This is because Button Mash desires to become an Alicorn of Gaming in order to reform the Fourth Age's gaming industry, causing Maestro to see him as a kindred spirit.
Prince Maestro: ...Lumi, I think I'll take this kid.
    Luminiferous: Oh?
Prince Maestro: He wants to make the video game industry a fairer, more moral place because he adores video games and wants to. Seems like a perfect match.
  • My Rule Fu Is Stronger than Yours: As many corrupt business rivals have learned the hard way, he's been in business for tens of thousands of years thanks to his divine immortality, and thus knows the procedures of contracts and laws inside-out. Anyone who tries to out-lawyer him tends to be on the receiving end of the legal equivalent of a Curb-Stomp Battle.
  • Psychic Link: As a god of Agents, he shares a telepathic link with anyone he contracts as his agents, allowing him to both detect when they're in danger and possess instinctive knowledge of his agents' talents, potential, and preferences.
  • Purple Is Powerful: His pelt is magenta-colored. He's also an ancient and powerful Alicorn god from the Second Age, and the extremely wealthy founding CEO of Maestro Multimedia.
  • Really Gets Around: Much like his father, Ace, he's also a 'ladies stallion' and went on dates with numerous Ponies. While it's stated to be a flaw of his, Blue Suede Heartstrings influenced him to love all those he dated and treat them well.
  • Seers: His domain of Agents gives him a precognitive ability that allows him to figure out the best ways to help his agents progress in their careers, and help them achieve their goals.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: He normally forgoes divine barding in favor of well-tailored suits, though if the situation calls for it, he has barding he's willing to wear.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: He responds to a corrupt insurance company executive's attempt to justify his crimes with the "Life Isn't Fair" excuse by thoroughly deconstructing the kind of mindset that would spur someone to believe in such a thing. Kendell2 has stated the speech was designed as a Take That! towards anyone who tries to justify greed and cruelty this way.
Prince Maestro: You're right, life isn't fair. But that's the keyword: LIFE isn't fair. Sapient beings can be. We can't decide when a natural disaster is gonna hit, but we can decide not to screw someone else over. We can decide to give everyone a fair deal. We can decide to treat each other like people, not dollar signs. The law of the jungle doesn't apply to us anymore - we have gone BEYOND that a long time ago. Or rather we should have, if not for people like you.

You say 'life isn't fair,' but all you really mean is 'I don't want to be fair because I'm a selfish, greedy, money hungry crook who likes to screw over others just to line my own already stuffed wallet'. But you don't REALLY believe that about life to begin with, don't you? It's just a justification for you, as it had always been for so many other cruel and corrupt flank-holes out there.

Well, I can be - and I AM - filthy rich AND fair. So what's your excuse?"
  • So Proud of You: His "uncle", Blue Suede Heartstrings, is very proud of him for being an honest music executive and agent who doesn't engage in corrupt and/or abusive practices like many others did, such as "Colonel" Hollow Note.
Prince Maestro: I hope I can make you proud, Uncle Blue. I'm gonna be the best agent out there, and not just for my family. Everyone out there needs one.
Blue Suede Heartstrings: You've already made me proud, lil' Maestro.
  • Uncle Pennybags: He's extremely wealthy, but also a nice guy and Benevolent Boss who uses his wealth to help others.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Many corrupt CEOs and companies have tried opposing him or outmaneuvering him in court under the assumption that he's just an ordinary business rival they can get rid of. What they don't realize is that he's not only an extremely respected businessmane and CEO of Maestro Multimedia, but also an Alicorn god who embodies all the good aspects of businesses (especially the music industries) with tens of thousands years worth of experience in law. One good example of this is shown in how he dealt with a corrupt video game company that tried to have his student, Button Mash, assassinated to prevent him from becoming the Alicorn of Gaming (and thus be able to hold them accountable for their predatory business practices) — not only did the assassination attempt fail (Button's mom made certain of it), but the video game company ended being purged and assimilated into Maestro Multimedia. He's saving it to give to Button Mash when he's older.
  • Who Wants to Live Forever?: Like his fellow Virtusidae, he would be affected with the burden of immortality that came with being an Alicorn. After Ascending to godhood, he had to watch as his entire family succumbed to old age one by one (including his beloved sister, Sweet Music), though thankfully, having Blue Suede's emotional support gave him enough emotional stability to attend his aging mother's last moments. He also dealt with the pain of losing everything during the "Void Aeon" event and Princess Stitching Time becoming Final Epoch out of rage and grief, but he ultimately clung to his morals and powered through them.
  • Winged Unicorn: Like his cousins and fellow Virtusidae, he's an Alicorn. His entry describes him as a light magenta-colored Alicorn with a light blue mane and tail made of musical energy, similar to Blue's.

Princess Opera Tide, the Eldritch Song

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Music, Technicians, Stage Crew

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

Princess Opera Tide (her entry here) is the Oceanaiad goddess of Music, Technicians, and Stage Crews, and is the adoptive daughter of Prince Maestro.

Prince Abyssal Echo Heartstrings, the Song of the Depths

Classification: Ascendant

Portfolio: Song, Abyss, Empathy

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

Affiliation: Mousikós Pantheon (main), Caerulidae, N’ghft Vulgtmog

"Sing from the depths of your heart... and the world will listen."

Prince Abyssal Echo Heartstrings (his entry here) is the Oceanaiad god of Song, Abyss, and Empathy, and is a benevolent member of both the Caerulidae and the Mousikós Pantheon.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Oceanaiad god who embodies Song, Abyss, and Empathy.
  • The Beastmaster: As a god of Song, he can sing to command various sea creatures, including leviathans and krakens.
  • Cheerful Child: In his infancy, he was an adorable, cheerful baby who loved playing with his toys.
  • Divine Parentage: He is an adoptive son of Blue Suede Heartstrings, an ancient Alicorn god, making him part of the Caerulidae. He officially joins it once he Ascends.
  • Formerly Fat: He was rather pudgy as a baby and as a child, according to Blue Suede. Nowadays, he is quite handsome in both his Oceanaiad and Pony forms.
  • God in Human Form: After Ascending, he often disguises himself as a mortal Unicorn named Dark Tide, both due to his true divine form being incomprehensible and his people being hated by the rest of the world for their actions in the Third Age. However, he still has the Oceanaiads' chest gem, ironically making him resemble a Musical Pony.
  • Happily Adopted: Abyssal Echo was left the Sole Survivor of his school as a baby after the Oceanaiads unleashed their suicidal gambit, and was found adrift at sea by Blue Suede Heartstrings. While Blue Suede was not a perfect parent, he loved Abyssal Echo regardless and raised him as best he could. As a result, Abyssal Echo loved him back and saw him as his true father.
  • Heavenly Blue: Abyssal Echo is heavily associated with dark blue, whether in his true appearance or his Pony guises. He's also an adoptive son of Blue Suede Heartstrings and he eventually Ascended to godhood like his father and Ascendant adoptive siblings... though in his case, because he's an Oceanaiad, he Ascended to eldritch godhood.
  • An Ice Person: As a god of Song, he specializes in singing ice and water spells.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Song of the Depths".
  • Make Some Noise: As an Oceanaiad, part of his racial powers includes sound manipulation.
  • Making a Splash: As a god of Song, he specializes in singing both ice and water spells.
  • The Power of Hate: As an Oceanaiad, he is an Emotion Eater who survives by feeding on hatred and other negative emotions. While he can use it to sow conflict and hatred like the Sirens/Dazzlings did if he chose to, he instead uses it to defuse conflicts and help people overcome their prejudices.
  • Telepathy: As a god of Abyss, one of his powers is telepathy.
  • Token Minority: Both he and Opera Tide are the only divine Oceanaiad members of the Mousikós Pantheon. While some distrusted them due to their race (and Mousikós' long history of fighting evil Oceanaiad schools), the ruling Muse Quartet allowed them to join, having overcome their own prejudices.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: He loves seafood, with seafood spaghetti being his favorite dish.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: As an Oceanaiad, part of his racial powers includes shapeshifting. He generally appears in the form of a Pony, usually a Unicorn or an Alicorn, in order to better navigate the surface world. It also factors into his Henshin Hero transformation, as with shapeshifting, he can appear as an armored Pony in emulation of the "Rider"-type heroes he admired as a child.

Other Residents

    Lyre, the Guardian of Mousikós

Character: Heroic

Alignment: Chaotic Good

Type: Kaiju, Guardian Monster, Wild Magic Mutant

Faction: Mousikós/The Muse Quartet

"What's big as a skyscraper and SINGS?"

Lyre (her entry here) is the faithful, beloved Great Songbird pet of Queen Aoide Mousikós, and is the official Kaiju guardian of the island kingdom of Mousikós.
  • The Ageless: Maybe. The Wild Magic that mutated her into a kaiju either made her agelessly immortal or simply Long-Lived.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: She's a kaiju and a powerful defender of the island chains, thanks to the meltdown of the Castle of Music.
  • Compelling Voice: She was a Great Songbird, and thus on top of many other musical/singing abilities Lyre has the power to compel other beings with its voice. Mostly to sing/dance along with it. After being affected by wild magic and her growth accelerated/mutated to gigantic proportions, her vocal powers increased as well.
  • Healing Factor: Thanks to being mutated by the Castle of Music's Wild Magic, she now possesses an impressive healing factor.
  • Interspecies Friendship: She's a Giant Songbird Kaiju, and one of the Music deities she befriended was Blue Suede Heartstrings, an Alicorn and Queen Aoide's former mentor.
  • Karmic Jackpot: Out of Undying Loyalty, Lyre stayed with her master/friend, Queen Aoide, and added her song to hers in order to help Aoide contain the Castle of Music as it underwent meltdown from lack of maintenance. For risking her life like that, the mutations she experienced as result of exposure to wild magic turned Lyre into an incredibly powerful kaiju by chance and becoming the island's guardian creature.
  • Long-Lived: Maybe. The Wild Magic that mutated her into a kaiju made her Long-Lived or even immortal in that she's ageless.
  • Magic Eater: Due to being a Great Songbird mutated into a kaiju by Wild Magic, she can absorb wild magic in order to feed and grow stronger. Despite the Castle of Music having long since fallen, she can generally be found within its radioactive ruins, feeding off the wild magic there.
  • Magic Music: She has traits and abilities related to this as a Great Songbird. Thanks to her mutation into a kaiju, her powers became even stronger than before.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Guardian of Mousikós".
  • Meaningful Name: She's named after a lyre, as part of the musical Theme Naming convention of Mousikós.
  • Mooning: She once expressed her disgust for a group of Pony Tribalists by mooning them from her perch on the mountain while they were giving a hate speech in Mousikós. She proceeded to attack in turn when said Tribalists later attempted a terrorist attack on the Mousikósian islands.
Pony Tribalists: Is that giant bird mooning us?
  • The Music Meister: Like all Great Songbirds, she has the ability to make anyone burst into song spontaneously. This makes her very important considering how her mistress, Queen Aoide, has the worrying tendency to bottle up her own emotions for the greater good, and it's noted that both Mese and Nete gave her to Aoide specifically to help their sister psychologically heal.
  • Nuclear Mutant: Wild magic in this case. It was the meltdown of the Castle of Music sometime after the end of the fantastically magical 'Third Age' that contributed to Lyre's increase in size and might, thanks to direct exposure to the arcane energetic fallout after helping her master Aoide contain the detonation.
  • Rent-a-Zilla: She was originally a Great Songbird Mese got for Aoide as a pet to help the latter with her grief over Rocky's disappearance/death. After helping Aoide contain the Castle of Music's arcane fallout, she was thought to have died from Wild Magic poisoning, but instead it turns out she mutated into a gigantic kaiju because of what happened.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Thanks to irradiation from wild magic released by the detonation of the Castle of Music, Lyre went from being merely a Great Songbird to a giant Songbird kaiju who would defend Mousikós from all threats.
  • Undying Loyalty: Refused to leave its master Aoide and even tried to help her contain the meltdown of the Castle of Music. This resulted in a Karmic Jackpot of literally gigantic proportions].
  • Wind from Beneath My Wings: As a gigantic winged Kaiju, she's capable of generating hurricane force winds with her wings for offensive purposes.

    Rumbling Noise
"Our Queen always encouraged us to pursue our dreams. I go after those who destroy or corrupt the dreams of others."

Rumbling Noise (first introduced here) is a Earth Pony/Musical Pony hybrid musician who became a Cleric of Prince Racconto Mousikós-Corporatum after being brutalized by Mousikós' local Tribalist faction, the Purebloods.
  • Half-Breed Discrimination: The entire reason why he ended up losing his front legs is because he was born the son of a Musical Pony and an Earth Pony, which disgusted Musical Pony tribalists so much that they targeted him.
  • Revenge: His goal post-crippling was to go after the Musical Pony tribalists who cut off his front legs and make them pay for ruining his life. This clashed with his mentor, Rock Opera/Racconto, who wanted to guide him onto a better path. While Rock Opera gave in and empowered him, he comes to realize Revenge Is Not Justice and has the Musical Pony tribalists arrested for their crimes instead. He discovers Rock Opera only empowered him to see if he would abuse his divinely-given abilities, and was impressed that he chose not to.
  • Secret Test of Character: The reason why Rock Opera empowered him is to see if he would use his divinely-given powers to exact brutal revenge on the Musical Pony tribalists who crippled him. What he did instead was realizing that Revenge Is Not Justice and having the Musical Pony tribalists arrested, passing the test.
