Princess Sincerus Pecunia Mousikós-Corporatum, the Honest Manager

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Business, Integrity, Talent, Managers

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

Princess Sincerus Pecunia Mousikós-Corporatum, born Sterling Currency (first introduced here), is the Alicorn goddess of Business, Integrity, Talent, and Managers, and is a benevolent mare who seeks to counter the corrupt aspects of the music industries.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn goddess who embodies Business, Integrity, Talent, and Managers.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Honest Manager".
  • Meaningful Name: Her Alicorn name translates to "sincere money" in Latin. She's a goddess who embodies the positive aspects of Business and Managers and wants to ensure that both remain free of corruption.
  • Personality Powers: Her portfolio comes from her desire to be a good, benevolent manager to her clients, after learning how her father was psychologically abused by a corrupt one.
  • Winged Unicorn: She's an Alicorn.

    Prince Agathis Heartstrings-Corporatum

Classification: Ascendant/Etheral

Portfolio: Music, DJs, Harmony

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

Prince Agathis Heartstrings-Corporatum (his entry here) is the Aligorn god of Music, DJs, and Harmony, and is a benevolent hybrid member of the Caerulidae.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Aligorn god who embodies Music, DJs, and Harmony.
  • Cool Big Bro: He loves his younger siblings very much and enjoys having fun with them. He's also very proud of his family and loves playing their music, even if he mixes and changes things up as DJs do.
  • Divine Parentage: He is a hybrid son of Blue Suede Heartstrings, an Alicorn, through his mother, a mortal Pterosaurus Dracosaur named Posaune.
  • Emotion Suppression: Deconstructed; he shares Blue Suede's habit of bottling up his emotions from time to time, but after seeing how that turned out for his father, he realized the harm it could cause and decided he didn't want to go down the same path. Since then, he's been trying to get better at being more emotionally open.
  • Everything's Better with Rainbows: He has a mane and tail hair made of rainbow-colored Harmony energy, and as a god of Harmony, he can fire beams of rainbow magic that restore and purify. Notably, his domain makes him immune to being affected by Chaos or Order-based powers. He's also a benevolent god who loves music and wants people to have a good time, serving as a mediator to keep things harmonious.
  • Follow in My Footsteps: Sort of. While he followed Blue Suede Heartstrings in music, he chose to become a DJ instead as he wasn't interested in singing or playing instruments like his father. That being said, it's noted that being a DJ still didn't make him less of a musician than any of his musically-talented and/or inclined family members.
  • Good Needs Evil: While he hates seeing others fight and bicker with each other, he does understand that chaos is just as necessary as order for things to remain properly harmonious, as being too orderly will have disastrous consequences.
  • Hybrid Power: As an Alicorn hybrid (specifically, an Aligorn with a Pterosaur Dracosaur parent), he has the combined magics of all Pony tribes and Dragon types. He also has his mother's agile flying abilities and heat manipulation.
  • Irony: Despite his family and friends trying to help him recover from his grief over his mother's death, the Void Aeon made him do just that when he noticed others were traumatized by the loss of the Second Age, motivating him to resume his DJ work and become a source of morale for everyone.
  • Magic Hair: He has a blue mane made of Harmony energy, though this makes it rainbow-colored rather than blue. His tail hair also has the same trait.
  • Meaningful Name: "Agathis" is the scientific name of the kauri tree, whose wood has been used in making guitars and ukeleles. Prince Agathis is a hybrid son of Blue Suede Heartstrings, an Alicorn musician, but while he followed in his father's hoofsteps music-wise, he became a DJ instead.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: As an Aligorn hybrid, his appearance is a mix of traits inherited from his father, an Alicorn, and his mother, a mortal Pterosaur Dracosaur — such as his mother's Pterosaur wings (and the ability to "wing walk"), a long reptilian tail, crystalline horns, and sea-green scales, and his father's blue mane, a Unicorn horn, and golden fur on his underbelly and certain parts of his body. He can also manifest chimeric traits of other Pony tribes due to being half-Alicorn, though he generally prefers not to do it as it makes him look cluttered.
  • The Muse: A male example; as a god of DJs, he serves as a muse for aspiring mortal DJs.
  • Our Wyverns Are Different: His mother was a Pterosaur Dracosaur, and thus he resembles a Wyvern.
  • Playing with Fire: Sort of; while he can use fire magic as part of his racial Dragon abilities, he prefers to use heat manipulation, which he inherited from his mother, a Pterosaur Dracosaur.
  • Super-Empowering: As a god of DJs, he can empower other DJs. He can also act as a "power booster" for others by combining his domain of DJs with his domain of Music, allowing him to "mix" their powers and songs together to make them resonate with each other and make them stronger.
  • Vertebrate with Extra Limbs: Subverted: unlike most pure-blooded Alicorns and Alicorn hybrids, he doesn't have wings on top of four legs, as being half-Pterosaur Dracosaur means his front legs are also his wings.

    Beloved Light, the Encouraging Bassist/"Love504"

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Death, Memes, Encouragement, Bassists, Rhythm

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"What's up [slaps] s l a p p e r s?"

Beloved Light, also known as "Love504" (first introduced here), is the Alicorn god of Death, Memes, Encouragement, Bassists, and Rhythm, and is a benevolent musician and memelord who genuinely loves playing bass.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Alicorn god who embodies Death, Memes, Encouragement, Bassists, and Rhythm.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Despite his fame and bass-obsessed video persona, he's still at heart a humble and kind stallion who loves playing bass. That being said, he hates those who destroy people's self-confidence out of cruelty, which includes bullies due to his foalhood history with bullying.
  • Be Yourself: While he did get his fair share of detractors, he accepted that he can't please everyone and the most important thing is being himself.
  • Bullied into Depression: While he was naturally introverted, being bullied and humiliated at school made it worse, turning him extremely shy and withdrawn. It's after discovering bass and making videos that he regained his self-confidence.
  • Celebrity Power: He's based on bassist, YouTuber, and memelord Davie504. Following his death from old age, he Ascended to godhood as the Alicorn god of Death, Memes, Encouragement, Bassists, and Rhythm.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: He was bullied a lot in his mortal youth, which destroyed his self-confidence and left him extremely shy and withdrawn. After a bad sports match where his own teammates humiliated him for making mistakes, he quit sports and shortly fell ill with a fever, likely psychosomatic. Fortunately, he recovered from it after discovering his love for playing bass, but it took him years until he was able to regain his self-confidence via making bass videos.
  • Deity of Human Origin: He was originally a mortal Bitalian Earth Pony who later Ascended as the Alicorn god of Death, Memes, Encouragement, Bassists, and Rhythm. He was offered to Ascend while he was alive by various Second Age deities interested in his potential, but he instead chose to live out his life with his beloved fillyfriend. Only after dying of old age did he finally agree to Ascend.
  • Don't Fear the Reaper: Despite being a god of Death, he is a humble and kindhearted stallion who loves playing bass. And as a god of Encouragement, he serves as a therapist for those suffering from low self-esteem; his reason for moving to Corporatum is so he could help the locals overcome their trauma from living under the tyranny of Ivory Towers and Don'yoku.
  • God of the Dead: He became a god of Death due to Ascending post-mortem, which got him adopted into the Trimortidae. Despite this, he's genuinely benevolent.
  • Happily Adopted: It was after Ascending as an Alicorn god of Death that he was adopted into the Trimortidae as one of Gavisus Manes' sons.
  • Happily Married: Implied; he met and started dating his fillyfriend in Formaresa after seeing her online, and by the time he died of old age, they had become husband and wife. After Ascending, he would turn his wife into an Angel and move with her to Corporatum. It's implied that he refused to Ascend in his lifetime because he didn't want to outlive her.
  • Heroic BSoD: It's strongly believed In-Universe that his foalhood fever was purely psychosomatic, the result of emotional stress brought on by intense bullying he suffered at school. Discovering his love for bass through video games brought him out of his fever.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Encouraging Bassist".
  • Nice Guy: As a mortal, despite his online popularity, he remained a humble and kindhearted stallion. This didn't change at all even after he Ascended.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: He's based on Davide Biale, a famous YouTube bassist and memelord known for his fondness for bass. His online handle is similar to Davie's, and he has a Formaresan/Taiwanese girlfriend whom he loves very much, except he later marries his girlfriend in the Codexverse.
  • Oppose What You Suffered: Due to his foalhood experiences, he hates bullies and others who destroy people's self-confidence out of cruelty. Part of the reason why he moved to Corporatum with his wife is to help its local populace recover from having their dreams crushed by the tyranny of Ivory Towers and Don'yoku.
  • Shrinking Violet: A foalhood of bullying destroyed his self-confidence and left him extremely shy and withdrawn. But after discovering his love for bass and forming a career in making HoofTube videos, he gradually became more confident.
  • Who Wants to Live Forever?: It's implied he refused to Ascend while he was alive because he didn't want to outlive his girlfriend. Only after they both lived a full life and died of old age did he agree to do it.
  • Winged Unicorn: He became an Alicorn after many years of hard work and learning under various deities post-mortem.

Princess Witching Hour, the Mistress of Roleplaying

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Roleplaying, Witchcraft, Gamers

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

Affiliation: Corporatum Pantheon

"With a dice roll of twenty, I cast curses on you aplenty!"

Princess Witching Hour, born Cleansing Flames (her entry here), is the Alicorn goddess of Roleplaying, Witchcraft, and Gamers, and is a benevolent adoptive daughter of Princess Winter Opera.
  • Abstract Apotheosis: After letting go of her grudge against her birth parents, she accepted Winter Opera's offer to earn godhood and trained under her for many years. Eventually, she Ascended to demi-godhood, then later true godhood as the Alicorn goddess of Roleplaying, Witchcraft, and Gamers.
  • All Your Powers Combined: After becoming an Alicorn, she gained the combined racial magics of all mortal Pony tribes. Of them all, she's the most proficient with Earth Pony magic as it is also the most familiar to her.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn goddess who embodies Roleplaying, Witchcraft, and Gamers.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance:
    • Her Cutie Mark depicts a Jack-O'-Lantern wearing a witch's hat, surrounded by tabletop gaming tools, like dice, maps, and session notes. This not only refers to her status as an Ascendant goddess of Witchcraft, but also her love for tabletop roleplaying games and her position as the Dungeon Master.
    • This also applies to herself; she's a goddess of Witchcraft and a Goth who dresses up like a traditional witch. Her name, appropriately, is Witching Hour. On the other hand, her orange and black fur/hair colors (as is her Jack-O'-Lantern Cutie Mark) are strongly associated with Halloween, a holiday that is traditionally tied to the supernatural like witches.
  • Badass Cape: She wears a cloak with a feathered mantle as part of her Witch Classic outfit, and she's an ancient, powerful goddess and capable spellcaster like her adoptive mother, Princess Winter Opera.
  • Bad Powers, Good People: One of her domains is Witchcraft, which gives more esotoric abilities traditionally associated with witches like potions, curses, and knowledge of the occult (including Demon summoning). However, she is a benevolent goddess who wants to protect other gamers from abusive and/or exploitative individuals, and ironically she's a devout follower of King Equus (albeit one who follows the lessons he actually taught, not the distorted/mistranslated versions that came later).
  • Bargain with Heaven: While she still ends up gaining dark magic, she does it legitimately by making a pact with one of Winter Opera's Angels rather than making a Deal with the Devil as she originally intended to do.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's a creative soul, with a talent in storytelling and tabletop roleplaying, and is a devout follower of King Equus' lessons as they were originally taught, not the extremely distorted versions she grew up with. And because of her beliefs, she is merciful and forgiving, sees even things like tabletop games as extensions of King Equus' gift of creation to sapientkind. However, she is not only an ancient goddess of Roleplay, Witchcraft, and Gamers, but she is also genuinely enraged by religious corruption and hypocrisy, self-righteousness, and the Magic Is Evil mindset that her birth parents tried forcing on her.
  • Big Eater: In addition to grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup (which she sees as a Comfort Food), she also tends to eat lots of snacks and junk food even when not having roleplay sessions, which Winter Opera is trying to control. Fortunately for her, being a goddess allows her to eat more than she did as a mortal.
  • Big Sister Instinct: She becomes a protective older sister of Smellba II once the latter is adopted by Princess Winter Opera, recognizing that like herself, Smellba II was also abused, but for different reasons.
  • Black Magician Girl: Unlike her adoptive mother, Winter Opera, who is a Lady of Black Magic, she's a loud, hammy, and dramatic divine witch (albeit one who possessed more esoteric abilities in contrast to Winter Opera, who has more offensive spells), but also a talented tabletop roleplayer capable of reality-warping and taking on classes from her favorite tabletop RPG games.
  • Comfort Food: She regards grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup as a "comfort food", as she feels better whenever she eats it.
  • Cool Big Sis: She would become a protective, loving older sister for the similarly abused Smellba II once the latter was adopted by Winter Opera.
  • Covered in Scars: Due to her birth parents abusing her in trying to indoctrinate her to their faith, she's covered in lots of scars. Many of them permanent.
  • Crisis of Faith: Part of the reason why she became racist towards the Oceanaiads is because she questioned why King Equus would allow a race of wicked people like them to destroy the "paradise" he supposedly promised to give to Ponykind. Fortunately, Winter Opera, Blue Suede, and several others like Moon Ray would help her recover and regain her faith.
  • Crystal Ball: Her favorite medium to cast Scrying spells is a crystal ball.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: She was born after the fall of the Interregnum, which allowed magic to reemerge and many magical races to come out of hiding, but created a global panic thanks to the Interregnum's Gaslighting. Her parents were religious fanatics who saw magic as a tool of the Devil, and physically and emotionally abused her just to try indoctrinate her to their faith. The last straw for her was when her parents burned all her things and forcibly baptized her to make a "clean slate", leading to her nearly drowning. She ran away from home and tried summoning a demon so she can gain the power need to take revenge against her parents. Fortunately, Winter Opera would intervene and adopt her, but her abusive upbringing left her pretty scarred, physically and mentally.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: She's an orange-furred Alicorn with black hair and wing gradients, and like her adoptive mother, Princess Winter Opera, she's a Goth who dresses up as a wish with black and purple clothes. She also wears purple divine barding with black designs. She's also a goddess of Witchcraft, which gives her powers that are traditionally seen as evil. Despite this, she's a benevolent mare who is a devout follower of King Equus and sees magic (and roleplaying) as a divine gift given to mortal Equinekind to enjoy.
  • Deal with the Devil: After running away from home, she tried summoning a demon so she could get the power needed to take revenge on her Abusive Parents, feeling she might as well be a sinner if her parents treated her that way. Fortunately, Winter Opera intervened, which led to her getting Happily Adopted.
  • Deity of Human Origin: She was originally a mortal Earth Pony who, after letting go of her grudge and resentment towards her Abusive Parents, Ascended first to demi-godhood, then true godhood under Winter Opera's tutelage.
  • Discard and Draw: As a goddess of Roleplay, she can take on any role she wished, including non-magic roles like a paladin or a monk. However, this means she can't access her magic unless she ends her chosen role. By her own admission, this is why she often prefers playing as a witch.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: As an Earth Pony, she possesses Earth magic. This allows her to cast Geomancy spells as part of her Witchcraft domain.
  • Divine Parentage: She ended up being adopted legally by Princess Winter Opera, an Alicorn goddess, after the latter discovered the story of her Abusive Parents. Then Blue Suede Heartstrings, one of her mentors, and Luminiferous both end up becoming her grandfathers by adoption when they took in Winter Opera as their joint-daughter.
  • Ethnic God: As an Alicorn, she specifically represents all modern Pony tribes. This shows in her ability to manifest chimeric traits of any Pony tribe and, with it, the magics associated with each tribe.
  • Fantastic Racism: She became racist towards the Oceanaiads at the end of the Third Age — both out of fury towards them for destroying the Third Age out of spite, and feeling troubled over why King Equus would allow the paradise he supposedly promised to Ponykind to be destroyed by an evil race. Thankfully, Winter Opera, Blue Suede, and several others (like a disguised Moon Ray) would help her snap out of it.
  • Forced Transformation: As a goddess of Witchcraft, she can perform transformation hexes like turning someone into a frog.
  • Forgiveness: In contrast to her Abusive Parents' puristic and overly condemning religious teachings, she learned from Blue Suede Heartstrings how King Equus believed wholeheartedly in mercy and forgiveness, causing her to follow King Equus' teachings as they were originally meant to be taught. This later influenced her to forgive both Blue Suede and her Honorary Uncle, Healing Song, when they broke down and revealed themselves to be extremely flawed stallions, recognizing that each of them had sympathetic reasons for their behavior and wanting to help them recover so they could earn redemption. And while she acknowledges that her birth parents were extremely abusive to her emotionally and physically, she still forgave them anyway because she realized she was hurting herself and others by continuing to obsess over what they did to her.
  • Former Teen Rebel: Due to her birth parents' religiously abusive and oppressive treatment of her growing up, she became quite a rebellious teenager by the time she was adopted by Winter Opera, even changing her birth name, Cleansing Flames, to her current one out of spite. Thanks to Winter Opera and other positive people in her life, she mellowed out greatly by the Fourth Age.
  • Freudian Excuse: Many of her issues, such as her distrust of religion, her resentment, her rebelliousness, and her protectiveness of her own belongings, all stem from her religiously oppressive upbringing and the physical/emotional abuse inflicted upon her by her birth parents. However, it's deconstructed as these same issues held her back, even making her reluctant to accept Winter Opera's offer of godhood, because she hated her birth parents that much. Thanks to the positive influence of Winter Opera, Blue Suede Heartstrings, and Moon Ray Vaughoof (who was disgused at the time), she overcomes these issues and becomes a better person. She also ironically becomes a devout worshiper of the "King in Heaven" thanks to Blue Suede, who taught her what the god her birth parents followed is really like.
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: While she grudgingly acknowledges that her birth parents did have a valid reason to reject magic, as many people throughout history used it for evil (like War Rock, who was still alive when she was a filly), she proceeds to point out it still didn't justify her birth parents' abuse of her.
Princess Witching Hour: I... I guess my birth parents... kinda had a point. War Rock was still alive and mucking about when I was still a filly, and he did some pretty shitty things to other Ponies. But it still didn't change how my birth parents were utter flankholes.
  • Godhood Seeker: Initially defied; she refused godhood when Winter Opera offered it to her because she still bore trauma over her religiously oppressive upbringing. It's not until after a disguised Moon Ray Vaughoof helped her with her problems that she accepts and Ascends, having come to realize that protecting people from religious persecution is more important.
  • God Is Good: Despite being a Goth who happens to be a witch and a goddess of Witchcraft, she is very passionate about storytelling and tabletop roleplaying, and is a devout worshiper of King Equus who follows his original teachings, not the distorted ones in her time that her Abusive Parents tried teaching her. As a goddess of Roleplaying and Gamers, she serves as a muse for gamers like herself, protecting them and others who are exploited and/or abused by malicious people.
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings: A "Multicolored Wings" example. As an Alicorn goddess who's between 10,000 to 100,000 years in divine age, she has a magical wing gradient going from orange to black to show how old she is. It's also an indicator of Dark Is Not Evil as she's a benevolent witch and goddess despite her Halloween-like colors.
  • Goth Girls Know Magic: Much like her adoptive mother, Winter Opera, she's not only a Goth, but she also knows and uses dark magic — though in her case, she's an Alicorn goddess and a Witch Classic who embodies Witchcraft, whereas Winter Opera embodies Dark Magic in general. She also became a superheroine as a mortal, wielding dark magic that she got from a pact with one of Winter Opera's Angels.
  • Green Thumb: As an Earth Pony, she has plant magic. This enhances her knowledge in herbology and her ability to craft various potions as part of her Witchcraft domain.
  • Happily Adopted: After being physically and emotionally abused by her religiously fanatical birth parents, she ends up being adopted by Princess Winter Opera, who is horrified to learn what she was going through and took her birth parents to court to have her adopted legally. Despite a rocky start due to her trauma, she gradually came to see Winter Opera as her mother and treats her like such. She even manages to become a benevolent Alicorn goddess in part thanks to Winter Opera's tutelage.
  • Hates Their Parent: Deconstructed. She understandably hates her birth parents for physically and emotionally abusing her out of religious fanaticism, including treating her roleplaying hobbies as things associated with the Devil. While she ends up being Happily Adopted by Winter Opera legally, she still resented her birth parents to a degree, even doing things like changing her name to spite them. She even initially refused the prospect of godhood when Winter Opera offered it to her, as it brought up old memories of her religiously oppressive upbringing. This changed when a disguised Moon Ray Vaughoof helped her with her issues, causing her to realize she was being selfish and that protecting others — especially gamers like herself — from going through the same things she did is more important. This influenced her to accept Winter Opera's offer and Ascend to godhood.
  • Holy Halo: Post-Ascension, she gained a halo made of Witchcraft energy, though it's an indication of Bad Powers, Good People as she's both a benevolent goddess and a good witch.
  • Honor Thy Abuser: Subverted. While she forgave her birth parents, it's only because Moon Ray taught her that holding grudges is wrong and she comes to realizes that protecting gamers from people like her birth parents is more important. That said, she has pretty much disowned her birth parents as family for what they did to her growing up.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Subverted; deities get Stronger with Age, so the only signs that they're getting 'older' are their increasing power, size, and eldritchness. As an Ascendant goddess from the Second Age, she's between 10,000 and 100,000 years in age, and has eldritch traits like a wing gradient, a mane and tail made of rippling energy, a Holy Halo, and a huge height compared to deities from succeeding Ages.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: She's an ancient goddess from the Second Age, making her much older than her friend Queen Hocus-Pocus, whom she befriended in the Third Age and introduced Tabletop RPGs to. Two Ages later, Hocus-Pocus would come Back from the Dead as an Alicorn 'Godling', making her extremely young by divine standards. When not terrorizing the world with her hobbyist villainy, Hocus-Pocus would catch up with her during RPG sessions.
  • Internalized Categorism: One of the consequences of her birth parents' abuse is her self-loathing. Now that she's a witch (specifically, an Alicorn goddess who embodies Witchcraft), part of her feels afraid that her birth parents were right to mistreat her due to how magic was used for evil throughout history, and how certain aspects of magic are evil by nature. Fortunately, she is receiving therapy and support for this.
  • Irony: She's a devout worshiper of King Equus (who is the Codexverse version of the Abrahamic version of God) and an Alicorn goddess who happens to embody Witchcraft. In Western religions like Christianity and Catholicism, witches were seen as evil and persecuted for practicing magic. However, it's explained here that magic itself isn't really evil, and the Magic Is Evil beliefs prevalent in her time came from scriptures that specifically condemned evil spellcasters like the Lilithites and the Hydianites; sadly, said scriptures were distorted and/or mistranslated to the point where the original meaning was lost.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Deconstructed. Like her adoptive mother, Winter Opera, she's undeniably a good Pony, but her abuse and indoctrination at the hooves of her religious Abusive Parents turned her into an angry teenager willing to take a Deal with the Devil in the name of revenge. While Winter Opera intervened and adopted her legally, she still harbored lingering trauma and resentment that prevented her from accepting Winter Opera's offer of godhood. Fortunately, Blue Suede would teach her the lessons that King Equus, the god her birth parents worshiped, actually taught, while a disguised Moon Ray Vaughoof would help her with her issues. Both made her realize that protecting people from going through the same things she did is more important and allowing her to eventually Ascend.
  • Karmic Jackpot: Her letting go of her resentment against her birth parents made her more receptive to Winter Opera's offer of godhood, which led to her Ascending first to demi-godhood, then true godhood after many years of training.
  • Large Ham: She tends to be loud, dramatic, and hammy, especially when she acts as the Dungeon Master during tabletop roleplaying sessions.
  • Like Father, Unlike Son:
    • Unlike her abusive birth parents, who were religious fanatics, she's a follower of the "King in Heaven" who adheres to what he actually taught and not the distorted versions of his lessons that her birth parents followed. Notably, she sees magic as a divine gift from Mana Equus that is often mishandled and abused by Evil Sorcerers, and not a creation of the Devil as her birth parents believed it is. She's also merciful and forgiving to those who are genuinely repentant just like King Equus, while her birth parents believed that salvation came from a dogmatic life and harsh punishment.
    • Unlike her adoptive mother, Winter Opera, she's a goddess who embodies Witchcraft (which gives her more esotoric powers compared to Winter Opera's domain of Dark Magic), prefers to dress up as a Witch Classic whereas Winter Opera wears ball gowns, and enjoys tabletop roleplaying. While she does like Heavy Metal, she isn't very interested in becoming a musician herself, coming to embody gaming concepts like Roleplaying and Gamers instead. It's ultimately zigzagged as despite their differences, she does bear similarities to Winter Opera, as they're gothic witches who like music, involve themselves in forms of entertainment, and had terrible pasts whose birth parents affected them in their own ways.
  • Magic Is Evil: Averted, as what shaped her development later on is learning this isn't the case. After being indoctrinated by her Abusive Parents to see magic as a creation of "The Devil", she comes to realize they were wrong after Blue Suede Heartstrings explains to her that Mana Equus, the Empyrean Magician gave mortal Equinekind the ability to use magic. The Magic Is Evil beliefs prevalent in her time actually came from scriptures that specifically condemned evil spellcasters like the Lilithites and the Hydianites, which sadly were distorted and/or mistranslated over time. While she does acknowledge that magic can be dangerous and harmful, she generally attributes it to magic being mishandled and/or misused, as by itself it isn't evil. This epiphany later influenced the formation of her Witchcraft domain when she Ascended to godhood.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Mistress of Roleplaying", due to being a skilled Dungeon Master and a goddess of Roleplaying (specifically Tabletop RPGs).
  • Meaningful Name: Twofold.
    • Her birth name was Cleansing Flames, which lends to fire being associated with holiness and purification in many religions. She grew up the only child of religious fanatics who saw magic and even anything slightly related to it as creations of "The Devil", and abused her in their attempt to indoctrinate her to their faith. When she proved too rebellious for them, they burned all her belongings and (ironically) forcibly baptized her to make a "clean slate", which nearly drowned her and caused her to run away from home.
    • Her current name, Witching Hour, refers to the "witching hour" period where all supernatural beings, including witches, are thought to appear and be at their strongest. After being Happily Adopted by Winter Opera, she not only became a superheroine after forming a pact with one of her adoptive mother's Angels, but later Ascended as an Alicorn godess of Roleplaying, Witchcraft, and Gamers after training for many years, becoming everything that stands against what her Abusive Parents believed in.
  • Meaningful Rename: Her birth name was Cleansing Flames, given to her by her religiously fanatical birth parents. After her birth parents were tried, found guilty, and jailed for foal abuse, she proceeded to rename herself "Witching Hour" out of spite, since they hated magic and everything related to it.
  • The Muse: As a goddess of Gamers, she serves as a patron muse to both Dungeon Masters and tabletop players in general, blessing good ones while punishing wicked ones for wrongdoings.
  • Never Be Hurt Again: A huge reason why she initially refused the prospect of godhood is because it brought up painful memories of her religiously oppressive upbringing, and she still resented her Abusive Parents for how they treated her. Thanks to a disguised Moon Ray Vaughoof, she comes to realize that protecting people from going through the same abuses as she did is more important, and lets go of her grudge.
  • Oppose What You Suffered: She utterly despises religious corruption and fanaticism, as well as self-righteousness, hypocrisy, and practices that demean the worshiper like Self-Harm. This stems from her abusive upbringing where her fundamentalist parents tried indoctrinating her to believe that Magic Is Evil, even burning all her things and forcibly baptizing her until she nearly drowned. Her experiences also fueled her hatred of extremist groups like the Poenan Pantheon — especially Princess Radiant Rapier, as the latter's puristic actions and attitudes on good and evil contributed to Blue Suede Heartstrings' psychological breakdown. She is, however, more forgiving towards sympathetic and repentant individuals, such as Blue Suede and Healing Song when they were revealed to be guilty of the same things she opposed in religion.
  • Our Gods Are Different: She's an "Ascendant" deity, the rarest of the three main types of deities in the Codexverse. She's also an Alicorn, which are divine representations of modern Ponykind (and its many tribes), giving her access to all their combined magics.
  • Perky Goth: She's a Goth who knows dark magic like her adoptive mother, and she's a loud, dramatic, and hammy goddess (especially when she acts as the Dungeon Master) whose favorite role is a witch. She's also a creative soul who loves writing stories and is a devout follower of King Equus, though she follows his original teachings, not the distorted versions she grew up with.
  • Personality Powers: Her domains of Roleplaying, Witchcraft, and Gamers all come from her love of tabletop roleplaying, her desire to protect fellow gamers from abusive and/or exploitative individuals, and her discovery that magic (including its "bad" aspects) is a divine gift given to mortal Equinekind by King Equus' youngest daughter, Mana Equus. In regards to her domain of Gamers, her power to influence the "narrative" also comes from her love of storytelling overall.
  • Photographic Memory: As a goddess of Gamers, she specifically embodies tabletop gamers, and has a photographic memory that records the actions of each turn. This is an important skill to have as she often acts as the Dungeon Master for the roleplay sessions she holds with her friends.
  • Purple Is Powerful: As a Goth, she wears purple and black clothes, with her preferred outfit being a witch's outfit. She also wears purple divine barding with black designs. She's an ancient Alicorn goddess of Roleplaying, Witchcraft, and Gamers who, like her adoptive mother, Winter Opera, is a powerful spellcaster.
  • Reality Warper: As a goddess of Gamers, she has a degree of reality-warping, allowing her to change real-world environments to tabletop-inspired ones, summon various tabletop elements like characters, artifacts, and beasts, and — like any Dungeon Master — influence the "narrative" via directing the actions of both allies and foes. She can also bind people to the "rules" of her games.
  • The Resenter: Deconstructed. Despite being rescued from her broken home and legally adopted by Princess Winter Opera, she continued resenting her Abusive Parents enough to do certain things to spite them (like changing her name), and when Winter Opera offered her a chance to earn godhood, she refused it as it brought up painful memories of her foalhood religious indoctrination. However, she would meet a disguised Moon Ray Vaughoof, who taught her the importance of being angry for the right reasons and letting go of grudges, as her resentment would eventually fester into something worse if she let it continue. She proceeded to reexamine her priorities and realized protecting others from going through similar situations as hers is more important, which led to her finally accepting Winter Opera's offer of godhood.
  • Revenge Is Not Justice: She tried summoning a Demon so she could make a pact with it in exchange for the power she wanted to take revenge against her Abusive Parents. While Winter Opera intervened and adopted her legally, she continued resenting her birth parents to a degree until a disguised Moon Ray taught her the importance of letting go of grudges. It's okay to be angry, but if she continued obsessing over what her parents did, her feelings will eventually fester to the point of hurting both her and everyone else. This made her rexamine her priorities and realize that protecting gamers from abusive, puristic, and/or exploitative individuals is more important, influencing her to finally accept Winter Opera's offer to help her earn godhood.
  • Rightly Self-Righteous: Deconstructed. While she's undoubtedly a good person who worships King Equus and follows what he actually taught, she tends to feel self-righteous due to knowing the truth about her god that many others in her time didn't. Her entry outright describes this as a flaw of hers. To her credit, she has acknowledged this flaw and knows that self-righteousness is a sin, so she tries to regulate it as best as she can.
  • The Runaway: She's an "Abused Runaway" example. After her parents' abuse grew to the point where she nearly drowned when they forcibly baptized her, she ran away from home and tried taking revenge against them by making a pact with a Demon. Fortunately, Winter Opera found and stopped her, kicking off a series of events that led to her getting Happily Adopted.
  • Scars Are Forever: Due to her birth parents' abuse, she's Covered in Scars, many of them permanent.
  • Semi-Divine: Due to how Ascension generally works, she first Ascended to demi-godhood after many years of training. She Ascended to true godhood later on.
  • A Shared Suffering:
    • She befriends Shadow Song, a member of the Dazzling Divas whose parents also tried molding her into becoming their ideal child (albeit as a "proper" musician) but later repented upon learning their actions led to Shadow Song suffering under Ivory Towers.
    • Part of why she bonded so closely with her adoptive sister, Smellba II, is because the latter was also indoctrinated to follow in the paw-steps of her namesake, Smellba I, with Smellba II's mother, Matron Odious, physically abusing her whenever she didn't do what was expected of her.
  • Shrinking Violet: As a young filly, she was quiet, reserved, and obedient thanks to her birth parents' indoctrination of her. She became more rebellious once she hit her teens, which made her birth parents increasingly abusive as they tried to control her. Once she was legally adopted by Princess Winter Opera, she became more talkative and open.
  • Stop Worshipping Me: It's implied she initially didn't want to Ascend to godhood in part because doing so meant that people would start worshiping her, which would lead to more people being hurt by religious fanaticism like she was. She eventually gets over this when a disguised Moon Ray pinpoints the source of her reluctance (i.e. her resentment of her Abusive Parents) and helps her with her issues.
  • Summon Magic: As a goddess of Witchcraft, she has psychic knowledge of the occult, including ways to summon Demons, Familiars, and other beings. As a goddess of Gamers, she specifically embodies tabletop gamers, and thus is able to summon tabletop elements like characters, artifacts, and beasts.
  • Super-Intelligence: As a goddess of Gamers, she has enhanced intelligence.
  • Super-Reflexes: As a goddess of Gamers, she has enhanced reaction time.
  • Squishy Wizard: Like her adoptive mother, she's a powerful and experienced spellcaster who doesn't have much in terms of physical combat. Even her main weapons are a Magic Wand, an enchanted dagger, and a divinely-made pair of tabletop dice. It's ultimately double-subverted — she does have combat experience from her time as a mortal superheroine, and her Roleplaying domain gives her access to combat-oriented tabletop RPG classes like a monk or a paladin, but as indicated by her divine portfolio, she's a tabletop gamer and witch first, and a fighter second.
  • Then Let Me Be Evil: After being nearly drowned in a forced baptism by her Abusive Parents, she runs away from home and tries summoning a Demon to grant her powers, both out of revenge and feeling she might as well be evil if her parents continued to treat her that way. Fortunately, Princess Winter Opera would intervene and legally adopt her after hearing of her Dark and Troubled Past.
  • Took a Level in Cheerfulness: She started off as a quiet, reserved, and obedient young filly due to her Abusive Parents' indoctrination. While she Took a Level in Jerkass because of her parents' mistreatment, she became more talkative and open thanks to the intervention and positive influence of various beings like Winter Opera, Blue Suede Heartstrings, and (at the time) a disguised Moon Ray Vaughoof. Presently, she harbors tendencies to be loud, dramatic, and hammy, especially when conducting tabletop roleplay sessions as the Dungeon Master.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: She started out as a quiet, reserved, and obedient young filly due to her Abusive Parents' indoctrination. But when she reached her teens, she became more rebellious, angry, and bitter, doing certain things just to spite her parents and later attempting a Deal with the Devil to gain power so she could take revenge for her abuse. Even after Winter Opera intervened and adopted her, she still harbored resentment and anger issues until a disguised Moon Ray helped her through it, allowing her to let go of her grudge.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Because of her religious parents' abuse and indoctrination, she gradually became a rebellious and angry teenager who hated her parents enough that she tried making a Deal with the Devil for a chance of revenge. Winter Opera's intervention saved her from damning herself, but while she gets a loving mother, she still suffered from lingering resentment and trauma that made her reluctant to accept Winter Opera's offer of godhood. Thanks to Blue Suede showing her the original versions of King Equus' lessons, and Moon Ray Vaughoof helping her overcome her grudge towards her parents, she changes her mind and accepts Winter Opera's offer, eventually Ascending to godhood. Now she's a merciful and forgiving follower of King Equus who wants to spread her god's original teachings despite being a goddess of Witchcraft.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: While she eats a lot of snacks and junk food, her favorite is grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup, which she sees as a Comfort Food.
  • Vibrant Orange: She has an orange pelt, and her Cutie Mark depicts a Jack-O'-Lantern wearing a witch's hat. She's passionate about storytelling and roleplaying, and can be loud, dramatic, and hammy — especially when she's playing as the Dungeon Master.
  • Walking the Earth: After Ascending to godhood, she traveled the world to teach people what she learned from both Winter Opera and Blue Suede. While she ended up on the receiving end of religious persecution in some parts of the world, others believed her after seeing religious fanaticism for themselves and realizing that King Equus wouldn't want anyone to hurt others for being different.
  • Whatevermancy: As a goddess of Witchcraft, her preferred method of divination is geomancy, which uses earth to forell the future.
  • Winged Unicorn: She's an orange-furred Alicorn goddess. with a black mane and tail made of Roleplaying energy, a magical wing gradient going from orange to black, and a Holy Halo made of Witchcraft energy. And because she came from the Second Age, she's tens fo thousands of years old, making her quite huge by divine standards.
  • Witch Classic: She's a Goth who knows dark magic, prefers to dress up as a witch, and later becomes a goddess of Witchcraft (with traditional powers like divination, potion-making, and curses, as well as being the most proficient in Earth Pony magic). However, it's subverted as her main interests are tabletop roleplaying and storytelling, and she's the only daughter of religious fanatics who abused her to try indoctrinate her to their faith. While she is legally adopted by Princess Winter Opera, a fellow witch, she ironically still ends up being devoutly religious after Blue Suede Heartstrings showed her what her birth parents got wrong. She also admits that part of the reason why she constantly dresses up as a witch is due to her Roleplaying domain, which allows her to play as tabletop classes but locks her out of her innate magic until she ends the role.
  • "You!" Exclamation: This happens when, to her shock, she discovers the mysterious, poncho-wearing stallion who helped her with her abuse-related issues in the Second Age was actually a disguised Moon Ray Vaughoof, whose Blues music her friends listened to in their youth.
Princess Witching Hour: You... You're the one...! I-I can't believe it! Some of my friends listened to you!
Moon Ray Vaughoof: ...Hehe, guilty as charged.
