openMerge these Castlevania pages? Videogame
We currently have separate pages for Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Dracula X, the latter of which is just a Reformulated Port of the former. It's not different enough to warrant its own page, and the tropes exclusive to it could easily fit into their own folder on Rondo of Blood's page.
We don't have pages for any other Reformulated Ports, at least none are listed on the page, so I don't see why this should be any different.
We also have a page for Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, which is just a Compilation Re-release of Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It does include a 2.5D remake of Rondo of Blood as well, but as far as I know, said remake is virtually identical to the original, so again: not worth its own page.
open227someguy
Tropers/227someguy deleted some examples from Characters.Akame Ga Kill Night Raid (on March 28th) with the edit reasoning that if the entire trope example is spoilered out, it shouldn't be posted in the first place. This ain't kosher, right?
openGreek Mythology in Tropes Literature
Default noob here. Just wondering: has anyone ever tried to decompose Greek Mythology (or Roman for that matter) into trope summaries?
openSuggesting Redirects
Is there a place to suggest redirects for trope names? For instance, I Have Your Wife is often used in cases where the hostage isn't the person's spouse.
openBob Riddle shoehorning suggestions again.
Bob Riddle is at it again, shoehorning suggestions on the Death Battle suggestion pages with little-to-no regard for the page rules. This time, they're writing rather flimsy reasons to try to justify the suggestions.
Furthermore, this troper still hasn't grasp the rules of the site in general yet, since their edits contain Word Cruft and misuse of tropes.

Restore, or cut, or what?
open New Super Mario Bros. 1? Videogame
Why is New Super Mario Bros. titled like that? I don't see any other first installments being named that way, like Super Mario Galaxy or Paper Mario 64. If anything, I think it should be called "New Super Mario Bros DS" to differentiate it from the Wii version.
Edited by Loopytires55openFGO Tropes Issue
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FateGrandOrder/TropesKToP
In the trope section “Our Gods are Different”, there is a passage that reads as follows.
The Judeo-Christian god is having a much better showing than other deities, from 1) the main enemies being demons from the Ars Goetia; 2) Servants tangentially-connected to Christian theology and mythology being among the more useful Servants, such as Shielder being fused with Galahad, achiever of the Holy Grail in Arthurian legend, David, the ancestor of Jesus, almost every Round Table Knight featured in the game (i.e. most versions of Altria, two versions of Lancelot, Tristan, Gawain and Bedivere), the Christian saints Georgios and Martha, as well as the Ruler-class Servants Jeanne D'Arc, Amakusa Shiro and another version of St. Martha; 3) Hercules being killed by touching the Ark of the Covenant despite having his own divine protection; and, most importantly, 4) the ludicrously overpowered Solomon, David's son, owing most of his power to gifts from God.
This has nothing to do with the trope it’s listed on and reads like someone is complaining. Is this something that needs to be removed? (It’s also notable most of the above quote can generally be considered incorrect as of the current state of the game)
Edited by TreebornToadopenMaking an Administrivia redirect
Is it acceptable to have Administrivia.X Meets Y made as a redirect to Administrivia. The Same But More Specific? I feel like I would find it useful for Trope Launch Pad and Trope Repair Shop discussions if you hover your mouse over the link, but there are other pages with the name X Meets Y in other namespaces.
openAnimalTitleIndex
Why do we need Animal Title Index? What's the point? Seems like index clutter.
openLiveblog Problems
So, I'm trying to make a liveblog, but it won't work correctly for some reason. Does anyone know why this might be the case?
openI Might Have Accidentally an Edit War Videogame
A user did an edit on Characters.Dead By Daylight, changing a descriptor if Ash J Williams from "An alone wolf" to "a lone wolf". This happened once before with the person adding back noting that "an alone wolf" is deliberate as it's a quote/reference to the series.
I did likewise, putting the descriptor back, but realized after I might have become edit 4 in an edit war since there was already one "remove and put back" sequence.
I think this falls under correcting incorrect information, but to be on the safe side I PMed the user who did the removing (who since replied they'd forgotten that from the show), added a commented out note explaining it's deliberate to prevent future well intentioned correcting, and posting here to head off any issues I myself might have caused.
Edited by sgamer82openEdit War on The Dragon Prince Western Animation
There is a potential edit war brewing on The Dragon Prince YMMV page.
Antidragon has added these two points: Straw Man Has A Point:
- In Season 2 Episode 7, Soren fires a ballista at the dragon preforming fly-bys on a local village, and later accepts that the resulting damage was his own fault for provoking it. Yet the humans had no idea what the dragon's objectives or motivations were, and the dragon itself had made no attempt to communicate with them (Even if it couldn't speak, as an intelligent species it could have at least tried). Knowing nothing of the dragon's intent, Soren had good reason to fear that the town-destroying juggernaut could change it's mind at any moment.
- Furthermore, said ballistas prove to be too inaccurate to hit the dragon; the town offered no threat to it whatsoever and nothing was preventing it from simply flying away. It's subsiqent attack seemed more a matter of spite than legitimate self defense, yet Soren still accepts the blame for the resulting damage.

- When Soren provokes the Dragon in S2 E7 by firing a ballista at it, said ballista proves to be no threat to the beast and nothing was preventing it from flying away. When it subsequently sets the town on fire, the show (and even Soren himself) treat the resulting havoc as his own fault, even though said dragon was apparently acting out of spite rather than self defense.
They were removed by Mr. Death and then Antidragon added them back.
openParental bonus description
Parental Bonus has this in the description:
Contrary to the title, children of a certain age can get Parental Bonuses; most of them just don't watch shows that use them (with the exception of Sponge Bob Square Pants and maybe Animaniacs) and therefore miss out.
What does this mean? Who's not watching what shows, and how are Sponge Bob Square Pants and Animaniacs any different?
openTierInducedScrappy Question. Videogame
Rebel Falcon removed some Tier Induced Scrappy entrees on the Fate/Grand Order tab citing the following reason:
"Tier Induced Scrappy characters are hated due to their gameplay, but are none-theless scrappies. However, Diarmuid, Jekyll, Astolfo, Siegfried, Scathach, Hektor, and Yu are all popular characters, meaning they aren't scrappies. Boudica is more divisive, but not a scrappy. According to the new rulings, If a character has been rescued, they no longer qualify, so a good portion of these characters are cut."
My question is if this is accurate. If a character is popular but considered bad gameplay wise, does that remove them from being a Tier Induced Scrappy? I was always under the impression the trope was for characters being disliked because their gameplay, a popular and well liked character could be a Tier Induced Scrappy because while the character is well liked, they aren't gameplay wise.
In Wrestling.Booker T, this is written under his picture
"TV Tropes, we comin' for YOU, nigga!" (Face Palm)
This is a reference to an infamous slip back in WCW and the quote is reference else well, but should a modified version be used as well?
