This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Huh I thought the engineer stuff wouldn't have kicked in yet. I just figured it was an open page because I forgot about what happens before.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessOn MagnificentBastard.Literature, there's a wick for Charlies Angels on The Phantom's entry (for Angels of Music) that needs to be changed, since it's a disambiguation page. So, instead of "Film/CharliesAngels", please change it to "[[Film/CharliesAngels2000 Charlie's Angels]]".
Edited by chasemaddigan on Aug 25th 2023 at 5:31:32 AM
It's for the show. Having read it.
So change it to Charlie's Angels
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Another three NREP updates for No Recent Examples, Please!:
In the "Pages with a mandatory waiting period" section, in the usual alphabetical order, please add:
- Fandom-Specific Plot (1 month): To prevent knee-jerk reactions and allow time for fanfic to be written.
- Propaganda Machine (50 years for Real Life examples): To avoid ROCEJ problems with more recent events.
- Win Back the Crowd (6 months): To prevent knee-jerk reactions.
This is as per the Crowner results post here.
Thanks!
On Sturm's writeup in the Advance Wars section of Monster.Video Games A To C, could you please change the last sentence to the following, to match my edit on YMMV.Nintendo Wars?
I suggested a quote on the Complete Monster Cleanup thread:
Edited by Vrx04 on Aug 26th 2023 at 4:28:10 AM
You should add a pothole for the work where the quote is from
REALITY IS AN ILLUSION, THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM, BUY GOLD BYEEEE! | She/HerOn Film: O to R, please change The Patriot to The Patriot (2000).
The Fundamentalist page. Everything is good, but in one place an edit was made incorrectly. Here all the text as it should be on the page:
- Civilization: Beyond Earth: Any faction with a high level of a certain affinity can easily be classified as this. At the same time, all affinities go a long way before becoming central to the philosophical visions of the factions. Each colony, upon arrival on the surface of the planet, faces the same challenge in the form of an unsuitable atmosphere and deadly life forms. Nevertheless, the situation is far from desperate, and the colonists eventually cope with it but with different methods, which become the basis of their affinity. Initially, each of these affinities is a set of values and practices that helped civilization survive in the early days. But, as soon as the question of survival disappears, affinities begin to play the role of something similar to a worldview. At the end of their evolutionary journey, affinities move into the rank of unyielding ideologies that, judging by the in-game affinity quotes at this stage, are identical to extremely dogmatic religions. Therefore, each faction will harbor disgust for adherents of other ideals, and this is at best. At worst - will try to forcibly prove their case.

Done to here save for the Complete Monster quote that needs a source/pothole.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAdded the pothole.
A Diagnosis: Murder recap page has been found to have a somewhat incorrect title in its link.
Requesting the change of Diagnosis Murder S 3 E 8 The Pressure Of Murder to Diagnosis Murder S 3 E 8 The Pressure To Murder.
I wish to suggest additions and updates to a few entries on the locked page for Fire Emblem: Three Houses – Edelgard. Specifically:
Add an entry on Anti-Magic:
- Anti-Magic: In Three Hopes, her Innate Ability "Nullify Magic", obtained from mastering the Gremory class, allows her to No-Sell all magic attacks. Considering her personal classes classify as armored units that tend to take additional class damage from magic-based attacks along with slightly lower Resistance in general, this provides both a powerful defense and makes her a prime Mage Killer able to fully leverage her physical power on them. Considering what Thales magically does to her in Azure Gleam, she'd probably wish she had that ability on hand at all times.
Update her entry on Glacier Waif:
- Glacier Waif: Her growths and personal class lend her to being a Mighty Glacier, and she swings around a giant axe. She's also only 158cm tall.
to
- Glacier Waif: Her growths and personal class lend her to being a Mighty Glacier, and she swings around a giant axe with one hand while carrying around a large shield in the other with said personal classes (though she does two-hand it in certain Combat Arts). She's also only 158cm tall and this height is only emphasized post-Timeskip with several other characters as short or even shorter than her getting growth spurts while she remains the same size.
Add an entry for Magnetic Hero:
- Magnetic Hero: While this tends to be a requirement for Lords in Fire Emblem, Edelgard is notable considering her charisma involves convincing others to join her in overthrowing the existing societal structure of Fódlan in favor of a more meritocratic society, including possibly her own teacher Byleth, who happens to be the vessel for the very Goddess the Church Edelgard opposes worships. Likely in acknowledgement of this, Edelgard's Charm growth is the highest in the whole game, which makes her an ideal user of battalions and Gambits.
Update her entry on Playing with Fire:
- Playing with Fire:
- She can learn Fire and Bolganone upon specializing in Reason.
- In Three Hopes, her Armored Lord class has the ability to set her enemies ablaze after attacks, inflicting passive damage on them before potentially causing an explosion.
to
- Playing with Fire:
- She can learn Fire and Bolganone upon specializing in Reason.
- In Three Hopes, her Unique Action Ability "Solar Prominence" will imbue all her attacks with fire to cause the Burning status effect, and upgrading it increases its potency. Her Armored Lord class gives the ability "Emperor's Ploy", which when equipped guarantees any ignited enemy she hits with her Armored Lord or Emperor class actions will explode to deal more damage. She can also learn "Essence of Fire" from mastering the Warlock class, which powers up all her fire-based attacks (which is essentially everything that isn't explicitly another elemental Combat Art or magic attack) even further.
There's an error on her Pride entry where it's not properly spoilered:
- Pride: A Fatal Flaw of hers. Edelgard admits that some see her as arrogant, but she personally thinks she's just the one best suited to doing what must be done. [[spoiler:This is one of the factors that causes her to start a war, as she believes she's the only one capable of reforming Fódlan and that violence is the only answer. Because of this, she refuses to work with anyone who does not share her methodology, which puts her at odds with Dimitri, Claude, and potentially Byleth.

For Eleanor's writeup on Monster.Literature D To G, could you please change "devastate the planet" to "spread suffering across the planet", to match my edit on YMMV.Five Nights At Freddys Fazbear Frights?
Otherwise known as SolemnStormcloud. If you wish to change an approved Complete Monster entry besides fixing a typo or some small grammar fix, you need to take it to the CM cleanup first
REALITY IS AN ILLUSION, THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM, BUY GOLD BYEEEE! | She/HerI've been allowed to correct small errors on writeups as long as I inform this thread before, and I don't see why I can't do so now.
Otherwise known as SolemnStormcloud.Changing what what a whole sentence says and it's pothole, which changes what the sentence means is more than fixing a small error

REALITY IS AN ILLUSION, THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM, BUY GOLD BYEEEE! | She/HerFor the Spider-Man: Spider-Verse – Miguel O'Hara page, I suggest an entry to be added:
Add an entry on Hair-Trigger Temper:
- Hair-Trigger Temper: Once he had a Hidden Disdain Reveal for Miles Morales, Miguel was in an outright fury as he was taking his aggression out on the latter. Even before that, Miguel gets easily agitated over most of Spider-Men's antics with the Spider Society.
Does anyone else think the Boss's near-death dream sequence in Saints Row (2022) counts as an example of Nightmare Fuel? I've noticed that it hasn't been mentioned at all on the TV Tropes page for the game yet. And I've been contemplating how to go about mentioning the incident.
x14 bump
Working on some of the edit requests. Skipping Monster.Literature D To G because that seems to need discussion according to the posts above me.
^^This isn't the place to discuss that. If you think the example counts, please give us the writeup for it so that we can look it over.
^ ~Vrx 04 Please do not make us go back that many posts to see your request. Please repost it again.

Macron's notesOn Haiku-Wiki, where it says "Haikus about TV Tropes itself are on TV Tropes." It should be changed to "Haikus about TV Tropes itself are on Haiku.TV Tropes." The second link should be changed for clarity purposes.
I'm lovin' it. (My Troper Wall)@Macron Notes Here
I found another problem on Characters.Spider Man Spider Verse Miguel O Hara with formatting and a small lack of context. Can you update Misplaced Retribution like so:
- Misplaced Retribution:
- He holds Miles in contempt for having been bitten by the spider that was taken from another universe, resulting in that universe not having a Spider-Man and him becoming Spider-Man against "canon". However, Miles had absolutely nothing to do with that and it was actually the Spot that brought the spider over. He also unfairly blames Miles for the deaths of his universe's Peter Parker, for not being able to stop the super-collider in time and essentially sees him as the cause of the multiverse's current instability by proxy of things beyond his control. If anything, he should be mad at Wilson Fisk for spearheading and funding the Super Collider and Olivia Octavius for being the head scientist that built it.
- When Miles escapes via the Go Home Machine, he accuses Gwen of letting him escape, labels her a liability because of her feelings for him, then forcibly sends her back to her home dimension whilst locking her out of the dimensional jump system, effectively stranding her. All of this ignores the fact that none of the other Spider-people, including Miguel himself, did any better in stopping Miles.
It is locked.
Done to here.
