This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

- 17 in the Evil Overlord List says "When I employ people as advisors, I will occasionally listen to their advice". That sentence make it sounds like they still ignore their advice most of the time, and treat their employees indifferently at best. I believe "When I employ people as my advisors and henchmen, I will treat them with respect, give them good working conditions, listen to their advice and not beat them up just because I think I'm superior to them so they won't betray me" would be a more suitable sentence. ~MaLady - The September cuts seem fine to me because they are other bands/artists with that name. However, again, please ask for input for these moves elsewhere before submitting requests here.
As for The Game move, not sure about that one because he isn't known by his real name when it comes to music. I think that move would need more discussion.
Done to here otherwise. I commented out the Always Chaotic Evil example on The Bible because it didn't have enough context for the trope. I also removed the Satan part of the example (which should have had its own example bullet) because Always Chaotic Evil only applies to races and species.

Technical request: The crowner index tool, which shows a list of currently open crowners, has ones from years back still open. After a quick sample check, any crowners that old are ones mods forgot to lock after their parent thread concluded. Please go through the list and lock all the ones not currently in use.
Also, a quick question - where can I find background information on the situation of crowners being overhauled?

That's not necessary and it's not worth the work to lock all those long abandoned crowners. Even if some people are voting on these crowners, it doesn't matter as they are abandoned.
As for background information, I am not sure what you mean by that but the admins aren't actively working on the crowner system (to my knowledge anyways) at the moment.

As I mentioned on the Unfortunate Implications thread, is the UI edit war really worth locking Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022) over? I feel like this causes more problems than it fixes, since there's a lot of people who want to add examples that are completely irrelevant to UI, and it's too much of a hassle to come to this thread and make requests for every single little edit.
I feel like the simpler thing to do would be to add a commented-out note saying not to add UI. Sure there'd be some edit-warrers who will ignore it, but there is a strict rule on this wiki not to ignore commented-out notes.
