I had a bunch of dreams last night, but I only remember a few of them:

• There was a strange mechanic in Pokémon Sword and Shield where either you or one of your Pokémon could climb into a giant teapot that would briefly turn you into a Polteageist. I think it was for some weird version of Allister's Gym Challenge that my subconscious made up.
• Another dream was me entering some sort of classroom filled with all sorts of random people, and for the duration of the dream it was this stream of just everyone doing these random bizarre things like saying bizarre (and somewhat disturbing in some cases) Non Sequiturs, randomly floating around the room, and other crazy things that I don't even remember at this point. I ended up waking up when the absurdity began to slip into actual nightmare territory.
• Finally, there was a dream where I was just at the beach in California and...that was really it.

"Pardon me, that extremely loud and extremely deep voice you may have just heard. It was me. Oh, it is such a long story..."

Interesting, especially the second part.

I can't remember exactly what happened in my dream last night, but I was in this really nice-looking town, and somebody was showing me around. I'm pretty sure it was TropesForever showing me around his hometown.

He may be a giant, nightmarish brute, but like all villains in this series,he sure can sing.

Dreamed that everyone dressed like anime characters and had any hair... one girl I saw wore a freaking cage strapped to her head??

Joel was streaming this strange game loosely based on Littlest Pet Shop, where you created your own pet player character and moved them along nodes that gave you different effects and interactions... and for some reason had a ton of (thankfully non-explicit) Black Comedy Rape. And he made his player character Enrico Pucci as a dog for some reason.

This new one is fairly tame as far as weird dreams go but it's worth noting. I was browsing some sort of generic super-store and I saw a bag that could easily be one of those big dog food bags that held BROWNIES.

So, for context, my brother and I saw this pretty big animal outside last night that looked like either a large rat or a possum (we couldn't really tell because it was kind of dark). I then had a dream in which this animal had moved into our house and become our pet. Sadly, it only stayed for one day. :P

Once I saw an Evangelion dream. I was walking in a city... I wouldn't say it was like Tokyo-3. There was no sky, probably it was underground, the buildings were very tall but every building took very small area for such a big height. I walked into a pharmacy and bought some strong medicine in a syringe, I didn't even know why I bought it, but I was scared to even carry it in a pocket. Then I encountered an Angel running rampant through the city. It looked like a reptile and wasn't kaiju-sized, just big, think about SCP-682. Then I met Gendo, and he ordered me to catch the Angel and inject the medicine I had into it. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO CATCH IT WITH MY BARE ARMS?

Another time I saw a Madoka dream. Madoka made a wish to never become a witch, and her soul gem became a beautiful tree. A tree-like soul gem, to be precise. She and Homura lived happily to old age... but then enemies (for some reason those were not Incubators but some men on black jeeps) came for Madoka's gem-tree, and Homura had to kill Madoka before they got her. Even in my dreams Homumado cannot be happy and live without suffering...

Ok I just had four false awakenings and now I'm pretty sure that this is real life... they both felt incredibly realistic

In my previous dream my phone became transparent but the time was 11:24, which is actually really close to the time in Real Life right now

So, um.

Semi-fake DC villains get teleported to “real” but really wacky world, while trying to live as normal people. Turns out that there are wannabe-but-still-powerful villains-that-believes-themselfes-to-be-a-hero there, and they have to deal with them.

I had a dream that the TV Tropes staff was going to do an Example Sectionectomy on a pages just called Maps. Because it had too much bad potential. And I was immensely confused.

Sturgeon's Law is too YMMV for page examples, so WHY is it not a YMMV trope!?

I only remember bits and pieces from the dreams I had last night, including:

• There was a new Mario game with Princess Peach as the protagonist. It wasn't anything like Super Princess Peach, though. Instead it played like a mix between Super Mario Bros. 2 and (of all things) Putty Squad. Also, Peach, for some reason, had a very pitched down version of her normal voice.
• There was a trailer for a new Muppet movie called Miss Piggy. I don't remember all of the details about it, but it was obviously A Day in the Limelight for Miss Piggy and I think it involved her joining a fashion show of some sort.
• I was Spyro fighting a green Ripto lookalike with water powers (and one big eye). I ended up losing, after which a "cutscene" played where a bunch of folks (including me) got locked up in cages while Not!Ripto flooded the dragon kingdoms. Then I reappeared outside his castle to try again, but then the dream abruptly changed to the next bit:
• My sister and I were trying to find someone while walking through a park and we asked a bunch of kids for help finding them. They had no useful information to give us, but we thanked them anyway and gave them a bunch of Ribbon Dancers(???). The kids began waving the ribbons around while singing an annoyingly catchy song that sounded a lot like the Keyboard Cat music and whose lyrics consisted entirely of repeating: "Do the Dooley! Do the Dooley!" over and over again. The song is still stuck in my head as I make this post. 😅

In my dream last night, I was helping with filming Lady and the Tramp (2019). I was lying on the ground looking up while a golden retriever was looking down at me and circling around me. This was supposed to be a character singing, so they actually had the singer perform as we were filming. I can't remember what the song was about, though.

Anyway, it was cool. The guy was a great singer, and the retriever was also great at acting along with the music. At one point, it leaned in really close, and I could feel its warm dog breath on my face. 😅

Okay, here's a much worse one, where I'll also be venting.

Last night I had a dream where I was in a crappy Five Nights at Freddy's-esque game. I was out in the middle of a neighborhood at night, and I completed some sort of objective, and then I had to run back to my house while the typical badly worn-down animatronic was chasing me slowly.

I got into the house and closed the door, and the game congratulated me. But then that... that jerk got inside anyway. Then it did the typical Jump Scare thing, but instead of just ending there, the animatronic opened its mouth really wide to reveal a bunch of buzzsaws or something inside. It kept pulling me closer, and I couldn't look away. Then I woke up.

Honestly, it bothers me that I know so much about these games. I've mostly just watched Markiplier and Game Theory's videos on them, but I hate myself for knowing about them. I wish I could purge these stupid games from my memory.

I had a much better one last night, though.

There was a girl on here who was really into Broadway musicals^note Not Spottedleaf. She has interests outside of musicals, but musicals were the only thing this girl liked. and she wanted to get all of us into them as well.

In the dream, she messaged me on Discord, saying there was a character in Les Misérables that she thought I would like. Note that I have never seen any version of LM. I don't know why that name came up in my dream.

Anyway, she linked a video with a performance showing the character. His name was Looseteeth, and he was a big, fluffy monster with Absurdly Sharp Claws. In the clip, he was in a swordfight with the protagonist (using his claws) while singing a Villain Song. I don't think he was purely evil, just kind of rough. In the video (which I think was from the 90s. It was old), he was played by Mark Hamill.

Admittedly, I looked this up when I woke up just to see if Looseteeth might actually be real. Unfortunately, no. :P

I dreamed I was moving, and my mom (who is dead irl but always alive in my dreams) was helping me pack my clothes. There were like... several HUGE boxes, which is way more clothes than I actually own (seriously each box was about the size of my dresser and I think there were six of them) and she had "helpfully" categorized them into: "socks, underwear, pajamas, etc." (a fairly normal category even if too big a box for it), "these clothes are hideous why do you have them", "(my name)'s typical day wear", "(my name) is getting fancy" and I didn't see what the last two were. I took a pair of jeans and top out of the "typical day wear" box because she had done this while I was in my pajamas and thus left nothing out for me to wear. I then opened the "hideous" box to see what of my clothes she hated. I noticed several of my hand-knitted sweaters in there, and thus went to confront her about why she thought my knitting was hideous, she claimed it was because they were too baggy on me now and did not like the way they fit and she also thought the knitting was poor on one of them. So I picked up this random doll she had and punched it in the face.

...I think this is because of a combination of actually needing to go through my closet, my brother and sister-in-law talking about moving, "ugly sweater parties" being a thing, and having just watched that episode of Seinfeld with the doll that looked like George's mom... and the weird way my dream-brain decided to combine them.

Stupid doomed timeline...

Wow, I think my brain finally gave me something that is truely weird. Not just weird, but memorably weird. Grab the popcorn, because this is a long one!

I slept weirdly last night, and I think that had something to do with how my dream just kind of mashed ideas together to create something that is unique, but really out there. The first dream was just a bunch of weird vagueness, but the second dream was just all over the place.

The crazy dream starts with the 2018 FIFA World Cup, of all things, but it was held in France instead of Russia. The two countries playing weren’t actually countries, but rather two made up teams that nobody cared about. Suddenly things shift from that to what I think was supposed to be an unused scene from The Force Awakens, but none of the characters were familliar and the setting was some sort of dimly lit rectangular hotel building. (this will be important later).

Now I’m at a swimming pool place that looks suspiciously like Great Wolf Lodge, and I’m trying to get to the pool in the back, but there’s people in the way. I forget what happens here, but I begin to feel like I was secretly in control of the dream, but it wasn’t a lucid dream, I just recognized that everything was “dreamier” than usual. This obviously led to things getting out of hand.

Suddenly things turn into a sort of “reverse Persona,” which is weird since I’ve never played Persona, I’ve just seen videos and gameplay. I really don’t know how to describe things from here on out, as things just get a bit too surreal

Now I’m stuck in a rectangular hotel-ish place (the same one from before) now with bright yellow lighting, and I needed to get to the top. I come to the conclusion that the crazy hotel is actually a sort of “magic zone” or something and I try to take the elevator. The elevator only had buttons for the 5th and 12th floor, so I go to the 12th floor. The ride was rough, quite disorienting, and I see a desk with two blurry white figures by it.

The white beings tell me something about vague stuff, and then they suddenly ask me “would you be sad if you ate your enemy’s head off?” That’s a super weird question to ask someone, but I replied with yes. Then they said some more stuff about dragons, and I guess I’m a dragon now.

All of a sudden a story is told about how this yellow fox that looks like Ninetales did something bad, I guess, and as a punishment he was turned into a human. They then state that that was how humans came into existence. That had nothing to do with anything and it came out of nowhere, and even in my dream I was completely baffled by this.

Now I’m playing Rock Band in drums, but the colors of the notes are backwards and I miss almost every single note. I am bad at drums in real Rock Band, but I am somehow even worse in my dreams. Later on after I’m done failing I end up at some sort of music performance where this fluffy dragon plays this musical instrument that is just a floating hoop and two sticks, and you play it by telekinetically moving the sticks. I just decide to roll with it, since I thought this couldn’t get any weirder.

Now the whole “Reverse Persona“ thing is back, with the magic hotel dimension being some sort of school-type place instead of being where you fight,. There’s all kinds of weird things everywhere, I hear music that sounds like it should be from Persona 4, and I am completely aware of this. This leads to the dream actually turning into gameplay of Persona 5, but all it is is just endlessly walking around the magic hotel dimension.

Eventually it stops being gameplay, but the whole “magic hotel-school-thing” is still going. I’m just walking around the never ending hotel, bumping into more strange guys, until I just wake up at 6:45, completely baffled by what just happened. I tried my hardest to remember everything, and I simply couldn’t fall back asleep.

This took forever to type, and it set a new record for the most surreal dream I’ve had ever. I’ve never even played Persona, I don’t get why rectangular hotels are such a common setting, and I feel like my brain just decided to write an entire fantasy novel in a language that doesn’t exist.

In conclusion, hotels are actually schools for strange white figures, fluffy dragons don’t need to make music with arms, and Adam and Eve were actually foxes. To those who say that dreams have “a deeper meaning” or they “tell something about yourself, Explain This!

Stuff and things

Last night’s dream:

I was trying to play a pinball computer game I used to play as a kid, but somehow the game morphed into a completely different game that seemed to be an origin story for King K. Rool(?!).

Apparently (if I recall the game’s story correctly) before K. Rool started bothering Donkey Kong, he was an elite knight in a kingdom of crocodilians (who weren’t Kremlings) like him (the kingdom itself still bore a curious resemblance to a pinball game; the citizens themselves generally looked a lot more fit than K. Rool as well) until he went rogue in order to save a crocodile princess. The game itself kind of played like MediEvil but with a stronger emphasis on platforming. K. Rool fought with a large sword alongside his trademark blunderbuss (and some of his moves from Smash Ultimate). My POV kept switching from me simply playing the game to actually being K. Rool in the game.

After a while, the dream abruptly switched to me as Simon Belmont trying to defend Richter Belmont, Maria Renard and some kid from a monster, which I defeated by throwing a book at it, followed by the monster inexplicably turning into a frog. I never saw the end result of K. Room’s supposed origin story.

Had a really creepy dream last night.

I found myself in this very dark...place. It had a name, but all I remember is that it started with a P. Anyway, I was with a bunch of other people, some of whom were complaining about how they "had to come here every night," which was worrying, to say the least. I never really spoke to any of them, but was thinking, "Oh crab apples, I'm having this dream in the morning, right?"

In this place, we had to wander through areas that reeked of Bizarrchitecture and solve puzzles without letting these shadowy beings called "The Terrors" get to us. We could also pick up regular items to help us, but every so often we'd be brought back to a main "hub" area. If we were carrying any "contraband" (items that were arbitrarily forbidden), it would be taken away from us.

Eventually, I found myself going through a dark area of the place with really narrow hallways. Other people were nearby, but one of the Terrors caught me. I was shown my own twitching corpse for a moment before being tossed into the waking world.

Thinking about it, it'd make a cool video game, but do I really want to draw inspiration from something that sinister?

i had to sneak my finger out of a fan, adjusting the speed so it doesn't cut me off.

I had a Worm dream. I was a Mover/Trump rogue cape with the power to fly, and the ability to make people and their powers go haywire. I think my name actually was Shambolic.

I was flying through France, patrolling, when suddenly Contessa and her gang attacked the city I was in. I knew I couldn't beat her, so I decided to go pass her. I eventually ended up in the place her gang was hiding, but decided not to confront then. So I stole their sweet katana and flew away just to annoy them

I can't exactly remember MUCH, but a few days ago I think I tried to recreate a dream I never even had in the first place? It was really creepy and bizarre and I don't want to go to sleep ever again thank you very much
