Last time I tried to take this trope to the TRS
(along with the now defunct Blinding Bangs), we weren't able to disambiguate it because PAB has several meanings attached to the trope that were deemed tropeworthy. I don't disagree with this but the trope is still suffering from ZCE issues and the description and the title still focuses more on the hairstyle itself.
My original proposal for the trope before the old thread was made was to suggest splitting the meanings into their own tropes but I wasn't confident about it as I wasn't sure if it was worth having multiple bang specific tropes and I don't think I found enough meaningful examples on the wick check (although there's more on the on-page examples)
I decide to reuse my wick check from last year because I don't think things changed that much from then.

Conclusion

I think these examples can go to a sandbox to see how recurring these are. We can expand Hiding Behind Your Bangs with Tropes Are Flexible and note that sometimes happens with two eyes.

That page specifically says that's it's not about using bangs to express a certain emotion though. The most important is that the eyes have to be covered at all times so I am not sure if those can go there if that's not specified.
