- Cry for the Devil: Tomura Shigaraki is killed in the first chapter of the story by The Syndicate and his own allies. While some of it was brought upon himself due to his mistreatment of them and him becoming increasingly unhinged in the face of the Syndicate's increasing prevalence over the League of Villains, the way he dies is so pitiful and humiliating that many readers cannot help but feel bad for him when Dark Shadow rips him apart. Tokoyami outright apologizing to him immediately before the deed did not help matters.Tenko: "Game over."
- Draco in Leather Pants: Many of the comments cheer on Izuku (and by extension The Syndicate) and justify his actions. While many members, Midoriya in particular, spout lofty ideals and sophisticated reasons for their actions, it's very obvious that these are just flimsy excuses.
- Nightmare Fuel: While My Hero Academia was no slouch in the nightmare fuel department, Entropy has several horrifying moments of its own as well.
- Seraph's entire conversation with David Shield while he's in Syndicate custody. It begins with an Awesome moment where David immediately showing resistance and simply telling Seraph to kill him if it's what he intends to do, and that he is of no value to the Syndicate. Unfortunately, things go downhill for David from there,
- First, Seraph casually and in true faux-affable fashion tells Longshot to comply with killing him. Longshot, with no hesitation, cheerfully arms her Agonizer, which she lovingly describes will "melt his skull and brain down to a flaming carbon smoothie," and verbally ponders where on his head to aim. The suddenness of the moment is even able to shock David out of his apathy.
- Seraph then seems to suddenly change his mind and tells Longshot to hold off on the execution. He "mercifully" decides to let David say his last goodbyes to his daughter, prompting Longshot to open a panel to reveal a soundproof, one-way window to Melissa's cell. He decides to allow David to hear her voice one last time, telling Mei turning on the speakers within the cell. The four are immediately greeted with Melissa angrily and desperately shouting at what she can only suspect is a security camera, cursing Seraph and the Syndicate for everything they'd done and demanding to know where her father is and what they've done with him. This instantly makes David come to the horrifying realization that his death would leave Melissa completely alone with The Syndicate, causing him to immediately reconsider his defiance, and to plead with Seraph not to kill him for his daughter's sake.
- This exchange between the two after Seraph has the speakers turned off may be one of the most ''ruthless'' instances of villainy from Izuku up to that point.Izuku: "Well, now that you have a bit of closure, I suppose we'll be dispatching you, as requested. Unless, of course, you've had a change of heart!"David: (swiftly) "I have. (falls to his knees) Please, I-I'm sorry. Don't kill me."Izuku: "I'm so glad to hear it! It would have been quite selfish of you, after all, abandoning your child like that. But let's not dwell on such a melancholy topic- I just want to clarify something, while we have the chance. A few minutes ago, you said you have 'nothing to give me.' I want to give you a chance to reconsider that statement."David: "I... n-no, I..."Izuku: "No? Did I hear you say 'no?' That's unfortunate, then, because it leaves us at a bit of an impasse. You say you want to live, but if you have nothing to contribute, then I see no reason to leave you alive, even after all the trouble we went to in acquiring you. What a pity... Mei, aim right for his forehead."Mei: "You got it!"Shinso: "And while you're at it, why don't you go ahead and make the panel transparent both ways? Melissa should see her father's final moments, don't you think?"Izuku: "You should bow lower if you want to beg, doctor. You expected us to threaten your daughter, didn't you? You've been watching All Might defeat villains for half your life, so I suppose you thought you knew how this might go. Pardon my arrogance, but we operate a bit differently from the rest. (lifts David's head up by the hair) I have other plans for Melissa; we're not going to kill her if you don't cooperate. We're going to kill you. Your life holds no inherent value, not so long as Twice can clone you. And rest assured: If that does come to pass, it won't happen quickly. Do you think I'd give you the luxury of a swift execution? Your death will last for days, and I think it goes without saying that Melissa will bear witness to every last excruciating detail. It would break my heart to do that to her, but the truth is I'd have no other choice."
- The most terrifying part of this entire scene is just how quickly it resolved, and how unambiguously in control Izuku is throughout. David is only able to remain defiant for a few sentences before Izuku tears down any semblance of heroic defiance, security, and self-value that David displayed. In a single conversation, David Shield went from a Defiant Captive who was fully willing to let Seraph and the Syndicate kill him over his refusal to aid them to a terrified wreck deathly fearful for his daughter's sanity to where he'd willingly become a tool for the people who murdered his best friend.

It begins with an Awesome moment where David immediately showing resistance and simply telling Seraph to kill him if it's what he intends to do, and that he is of no value to the Syndicate. - Rooting for the Empire: The Syndicate is evil. Often crossing the line between Pragmatic Villainy and Kick the Dog moments. That said, considering they are composed of members that range from Tragic Villain to Evil Is Cool, and that the good guys are composed of people like Bakugo, Aizawa and The Hero Commission, many readers want Seraph and his group to succeed on their plans, no matter how many innocents die in the process.
- The Woobie: Itsuka Kendo is the ninth holder of One For All, and the most recent successor to All Might, the Symbol of Peace, and her mentor/father figure. She is also frequently targeted, humiliated, and toyed with by members of the Syndicate, and had to experience All Might being murdered in cold blood by Izuku Midorya while she was left unable to prevent it. Not to mention the many, many deaths that her allies suffer by the Syndicate's hand. Izuku has even referred to her as a Failure Hero to her face. And then it is revealed that One For All is slowly killing her due to its accumulating power growing too high to contain, and she only has a few months left to live at best. Break the Haughty doesn't even begin to cover it.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Due to the more serious nature of the fic, many, many characters end up dying very quickly. Unfortunately, this, combined with some of the many previously unexplored characters in the original series receiving more focus, results in various other characters such as Tomura, Hawks, and Uraraka, not receiving as much, if any spotlight as they did in the original series before being Killed Off for Real.
