Si Ji Mountain Pavilion (Four Season Manor)

     Qin Huaizhang (秦懷章)

The leader of Si Ji Mountain Pavilion.
  • Ancestral Weapon: Qin Huaizhang was the original owner of the Baiyi sword. Now it has been passed on to Zhou Zishu.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Qin Huaizhang seems like a kind person, but that doesn't mean he can't take down six people at once. This also shows from Zhou Zishu, whose an exceptional fighter even with only third of his power.
  • Henpecked Husband: Apparently whenever the powerful sect leader Qin Huaizhang wanted to play, he would take Zhou Zishu as an excuse and play with him. This was often interrupted by Zhou Zishu going to his wife, making her scold at him.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Downplayed. When Wen Ruyu thanks him for saving his family, Qin Huaizhang shuts him down by calling him silly.
  • Master of Disguise: The Four Seasons Manor is well known for it's disguise abilities, it's no wonder that Qin Huaizhang possess this skill.
  • Nice Guy: From what is seen from Qin Huaizhang, he was a playful and a nice man with a great smile.
  • Promotion to Parent: Zhou Zishu mentions that Qin Huaizhang has treated him like his own son alongside Qin Jiuxiao.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: When the Wen family was hunted down in the name of associating with a demon, Qin Huizhang was the one to severe all ties with the Five Lakes Alliance who did nothing, and proceeded to take action and save them.
    • Zhou Zishu also says that if Qin Huaizhang were to be alive and know of what Wen Kexing has become, he would not fight him and instead, stand by his side.

     Qin Jiuxiao (秦九霄)

The young master of Si Ji Mountain Pavilion and Zhou Zishu's junior.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: Depending on how one may interpret Qin Jiuxiao's feelings towards Zhou Zishu, this would apply as they had given Qin Jiuxiao a female love interest.
  • Dead Person Conversation: The Ghost/Hallucination pleads Zhou Zishu to not hurt himself, he reaches out for Zhou Zishu to stop, but when Zhou Zishu tries to touch him, he disappears.
  • Last Stand: Qin Jiuxiao dies fighting until his last breath with the purpose of saving Zhou Zishu, not knowing that this was not the case.
  • Morality Pet: Qin Jiuxiao was Zhou Zishu's only tie to his humanity. Upon his death, Zhou Zishu finally leaves Tian Chuang.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Alongside changing his surname from Liang to Qin, Qin Huaizhang raised Zhou Zishu as a son, so Qin Jiuxiao and Zhou Zishu were raised as siblings.
  • Save the Jerk: Even when Qin Jiuxiao was angry at Zhou Zishu drugging him, he didn't hesitate to jump in and risk his life to save him when he heard that Zhou Zishu was in danger.

     Bi Changfeng (畢長風)

Former guard of The Window of Heaven and the second-last survivor of Si Ji Mountain Pavilion.
  • Better to Die than Be Killed: Bi Changfeng sees that serving and dying for Tian Chuang is fate worse than death, so he chooses to die by the nails rather than serve Prince Jin.
  • Hypocritical Heartwarming: Even when Bi Changfeng chastises Zhou Zishu for being the last of their sect, he displays concern over Zhou Zishu's unhealed injures.
  • Last of His Kind: Besides Zhou Zishu as a member, Bi Changfeng was the last elder of the Four Seasons Manor.
  • Made of Iron: The process of inserting the nails should make any normal person scream, Bi Changfeng merely groans in pain.

     Princess Jing An (靜安郡主)

Military Governor Li's daughter and Qin Jiuxiao's lover.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Jing An went from a badass woman who enrolled in the army and wielded sabres to a character who dies after less than 10 minutes screentime.
  • Face Death with Dignity: She wiped her tears away and took the poison that Zhou Zishu offered to her, she died reciting the Four Seasons mantra, making Zhou Zishu realise how far her relationship was with Qin Jiuxiao.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Jing An keeps the hairpin that Qin Jiuxiao crafted for her, holding onto it close to her death and until she died.

Long Yuan Pavilion

     Long Que (龍雀)

The old leader of Long Yuan Pavilion.

  • An Arm and a Leg: Because Long Xiao held the firm belief that his father isn't helping him on purpose, he had cut his legs and left him caged for who knows how long.
  • Escapism: In order to cope with his situation, Long Que has been living in his own memories, where he remembers Zhou Zishu as a child vividly.
  • Go Out with a Smile: When Zhou Zishu reassures him that the Wen family has escaped and lived happily (whether Long Que recognises that Zhen Yan is Wen Kexing, the man standing next to Zhou Zishu or not) Long Que gives one final smile before he dies.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Long Que has spread the rumours of a key that can open the armoury without the Glazed Armour, this has redirected the hunt from the Wen family, to him personally so they could live happily. Sadly, it didn't work.
  • I Die Free: With his legs cut off and chains stabbed into his shoulders, Long Que begs Zhou Zishu to cut off the chains so he can die a free man instead of a humiliated one.
  • That Thing Is Not My Child!: Long Que says this, considering that Long Xiao has tortured him and amputated him just because he thinks that Long Que doesn't want to see him well.
  • The Mourning After: The reason people didn't question the disappearance of Long Que is because he had isolated himself after his wife died, not wanting to see anyone or anything that may remind him of her.
  • Trap Master: Quite literally. The Long Yuan Pavilion is known for it's traps and mechanics.
  • Wild Hair: His hair is unkempt and beard overgrown from being imprisoned for so long.

     Long Xiao (龍孝)

The current leader of Long Yuan Pavilion.
  • Driven to Suicide: Without his wheelchair, children and any sort of power, he throws himself off the cliff when he was being interrogated by Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing.
  • Evil Cripple: Long Xiao was born disabled, this has fuelled him to try and find a cure for his condition by any means.
  • Evil Minions: Long Xiao controls the Drug Men and the puppets he created, he calls both of them his "children".
  • I Meant to Do That: When Zhou Zishu thinks that the pin in Chengling's head is some sort of poison, Long Xiao rolls with it and acts as if it is harmful to remove, when in reality it is not.
  • Trap Master: Quite literally. The Long Yuan Pavilion is known for it's traps and mechanics. It is also one of the only things Long Xiao can exceed at.
  • Vague Age: The actor who plays him has dwarfism, the voice actor sounds like a child, due to the disability not being specified as having dwarfism or disabled legs, just how old is Long Xiao?
  • You're Not My Father: This was the trigger for Long Xiao to throw himself off the cliff, as he thinks that his father had the means to cure him, but simply didn't.

Qing Feng Sword Sect (Gentle Wind Sword Sect)

The leader of Qing Feng Sword Sect.
  • Beard of Evil: Almost the same exact styling.
  • Believing Their Own Lies: So far up in his own self-righteousness, he claims that in order to clean his honour, he had to kill his own son and a respectful elder of his sect because they associated with the bad side.
  • Holier Than Thou: Mo Huaiyang acts like he's abiding by the honour of his sect and teachings, when in reality, he allies up with a well known assassin organisation.
  • The Ace: Being in seclusion for 20 years, Mo Huaiyang is known to be a very powerful Master.
  • Wedding Smashers: Mo Huaiyang choses the event of Cao Weining's and Gu Xiang's wedding to take the Glazed Armour, of course he kills both of the couple while his disciples kill the unsuspecting Ghosts.

  • An Arm and a Leg: Tao Hong's left arm is cut because of the battle in the battle of Mount Qingya.
  • Coordinated Clothes: In their two outfits, they wear the opposite main colour and accents of the other's outfit.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Despite being harsh with Gao Xiaolian and being her abductor, she has been taking care of the little girl and defending her from Huang He's scathing words and actions.
    Tao Hong: Huang He! you are as old as her grandpa. Don't you feel ashamed saying such dirty words?
  • Evil Old Folks: Tao Hong's first lines is telling Shen Shen to kill himself to follow his brother in death.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: The son of Tao Hong and Lu Liu has died in the battle of Mount Qingya against Rong Xuan, for twenty years they have been seeking nothing but revenge on the Five Lakes Alliance.
  • Together in Death: Despite being mean to everyone, Tao Hong seemed to truly love Lu Liu, wanting to die with him.
  • Sand In My Eyes: Tao Hong starts crying when talking about the death of her child.
  • Those Two Guys: Tao Hong is always seen with Lu Liu and vice versa, she is usually the meaner of the two.

  • Mellow Fellow: Downplayed, but he is the more mellow of the two, telling Tao Hong to go gentle on Gao Xiaolian and accepting Shen Shen's mercy of letting them go.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: The son of Tao Hong and Lu Liu has died in the battle of Mount Qingya against Rong Xuan, for twenty years they have been seeking nothing but revenge on the Five Lakes Alliance.
  • Those Two Guys: Lu Liu is always seen with Tao Hong and vice versa, he is usually the calmer of the two.

One of the disciples of the Immortal Physician Valley.
  • Backup from Otherworld: The poison that Gu Miaomiao gave Zhao Jing has messed up his martial art skills. During the second Heroes Conference duel, Wen Kexing had a noticeable advantage over Zhao Jing because of this.
  • Deadly Doctor: As much as she was knowledgable in medicine, she also knew poison, and was able to save herself and family from Zhao Jing (directly) by poisoning him.
  • Headbutt of Love: When Wen Kexing trauma flares up, Gu Miamomiao presses her forehead to his, calming him down.
  • Knew It All Along: She yells this at Zhao Jing when she realises that he was the one to poison Rong Xuan, claiming that she knew Gao Chong would never do this.
  • Like Mother, Like Daughter: Like Mother, Like Son. One can draw many parallels between Gu Miaomiao when Zhao Jing visited, and Wen Kexing whenever he was angry or posing as the Ghost Valley Chief.
  • Mama Bear: Gu Miaomiao was the protector of both her husband and her child when they got exiled. The fact that she was both a woman and a healer yet can wield a sword and defend was enough proof that she would defend her family at all costs.
