- I Just Want to Be Special: Cheol was very hesitant to tell Kitty that the mask would probably transform everyone, not just himself, and is scared of the prospect of it being taken away from him.
- Tagalong Kid: Is one of the youngest of the kids, being only 13.
- Token Human: Technically, all the cast members are humans — well, except for Meredith — but Cheol is one of only two characters, the other being Nina who is, interestingly enough, played by the same person, who doesn't have powers in their own right, but instead gets their powers from a special object. And while Nina's MacGuffin responds only to her, Cheol's is hinted to.* Youkai: His mask turns him into one.
The Mask
Cheol's mask which allows him to transform into Yuugure. It seems to be possessed by some kind of spirit, and can telepathically communicate with Cheol.- Expy: His personality is very similar to that of Ryuk from Death Note.
- Evil Mask: While not truly evil, he certainly isn't good either
- Transformation Trinket: Cheol himself has no powers on his own, but by putting on the mask and making the sound of a crow, he transforms into Yuugure.
- Trickster Mentor: To Cheol.
- Youkai: Implied to be possessed by one.
