Worlds that could be in this game:

New worlds:

    Walt Disney Animation Studios

Disney Animated Canon

  • 101 Dalmatians - DeVille Manor
    • Boss Fight against Cruella in a Heartless car.
    • Cruella - Fashionable London
  • The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad - Two separate worlds, which include:
    • The Legend of Sleepy Hollow - Sleepy Hollow
      • The Headless Horseman would be an epic boss fight.
    • The Wind in the Willows - London
  • The Aristocats - Alley Cat Alley
  • Atlantis: The Lost Empire - Atlantis (Or Lost Empire)
  • Bambi - The Great Forest
    • Boss fight against the hunter? Boss fight against the hunter.
  • The Black Cauldron - Prydain
    • The Horned King could actually make a good anatgonist like Maleficent if someone like Xehanort (or even Darkness or the Master of Masters) had taught him about the different worlds, and made him a bringer of Darkness for them to consume too.
  • Bolt - Hollywood
  • Brother Bear - Forest of Spirits
  • Chicken Little - Oakey Oaks
    • Sora would so stand up for Chicken Little against the townspeople.
  • Dinosaur - Land of the Past
  • Dumbo - Casey's Circus
    • Doubt we will see the crows… obviously.
    • Four words, Pink Elephants boss fight.
  • The Emperor's New Groove - Kingdom of the Sunnote  / Kuzconia
  • The Encanto
    • Bruno’s ability to see the future could be a plot point or important for foreshadowing.
    • Luisa could be a party member.
      • Better yet - Luisa and Isabela, rather than Luisa and Mirabel. Mirabel would be a target for Heartless because she was chosen to be the head of the family - or better yet, the heart of the Madrigal family. Therefore, the boss fight could be against a large heartless that tries to take down the door to Casita. You're protecting Mirabel's door: The front door.
    • The Unversed could make their return here, using the negative emotions spawned from the Madrigals' generational trauma to wreak havoc.
    • the Heartless end up trying to corrupt the Encanto.
    • The Keyblade Sora gets from it is either called "The Gift" or "El Regalo" ("Gift" en español). The teeth resemble Toucan beaks (Antonio), the handle is red (Dolores), it looks like it is made with green glass (Bruno's vision) but has paint splatters (Isabela) broken up by patterns resembling the original candle (Alma), gives a strength boost (Luisa), a cure boost (Julieta), and Thunder/water boost (Pepa). It also transforms (Camilo)! The part that represents Mirabel? The "M" which is the keychain. It represents Mirabel as the heart of the family (Alma's successor) but also the "Madrigal", because this is their gift to Sora. It therefore has something from everyone blood Madrigal in the family using their own gifts.
  • The Fox and the Hound - Mannix Woodsnote
  • The Great Mouse Detective - Mousedom
  • Home on the Range - Dixon Ranch
  • The Jungle Book (1967) - Jammin' Jungle
    • After having spent the franchise's life-span as What Could Have Been, it's about time The Jungle Book got its chance.
    • TaleSpin - Cape Suzette
    • If Shere Khan is fought, he has a weakness to fire and freaks out if hit with a Fire spell.
  • Lady and the Tramp - New Haven
  • Meet the Robinsons - Todayland
  • Moana - The Great Oceans
    • The Realm of Monsters from the same film is also possible.
    • This would actually fit as a "Retelling" pretty well - Te Ka is basically a Heartless.
    • The keyblade looks like Maui's own fishhook but with different symbols. That or it transforms into a fishhook, and becomes a Leiomano.
  • Oliver & Company - New York note
    • Alternatively, the film's heroine Jenny Foxworth could appear in Traverse/Twilight Town as the core of an overarching side quest where Sora and the trio find the dogs in Fagin's gang across different worlds. Much like the one with Pongo and Perdita in KHI.
    • Cait Sith could make an appearance.
  • Pocahontas - The New World
  • The Princess and the Frog - New Orleans note
    • Dr. Facilier, with his own power over shadows and darkness, could become a major villain in the series to rival - or work with - Maleficent.
  • Raya and the Last Dragon - Kumandra
    • The Druun are already basically like the Heartless.
    • Failing that, Sisu is a summon.
  • The Rescuers - Devil's Bayou
  • Robin Hood (1973) - Sherwood Forest/ Nottingham / the Animal Kingdom
    • Sora will become an anthropomorphic lionnote in reference to his lion-like appearance in early production stages of the first game. Donald and Goofy will remain the same.
    • Little John fights with a quarterstaff and the keyblade becomes a quarterstaff. It also has a passive that increases munny gained.
  • Strange World - Avalonia
  • The Sword in the Stone - Avalon / Young England / Camelot
    • The film was already featured in an Italian promo comic for KH1.
    • The keyblade has a sword motif, has a name like a weapon Arthur would have wielded. That or "A Knight's Tale" - which is earned from dueling Kay. And of course it becomes a simple sword.
    • Naturally, this is the perfect world for a Gilgamesh cameo. As such, Gilgamesh would arrive searching for Excalibur, the titular sword of the film.
  • Treasure Planet - The Etherium / Treasure Planet
    • The Etherium, the sub-section of outer space filled with atmosphere, will be used and the RMS Legacy will be used to sail to the film's locations (Montressor, Crescentia, and Treasure Planet) similar to Port Royal/The Caribbean. Alternatively, only Treasure Planet itself will be explored.
  • Wish (2023) - Rosas
    • Magnifico’s ability to take the wishes from a person’s heart will be a major plot point that will attract the attention of whoever the overall antagonist is. His fall to darkness will also be important to the overall plot.
  • Zootopia
    • The film's themes of racism and prejudice could provide an interesting message on how The Power of Friendship isn't always going to be your get-out-of-a-bad-situation-free card, but we can still try to make a change regardless.
    • As with Nottingham, Sora will become an anthropomorphic lion.
    • As Donald and Goofy are a duck and domestic dog respectively, which do not exist or inhabit Zootopia, they will undergo a complete species change to protect the World Order. Donald will become a platypusnote while Goofy will become a wolf, probably resembling a friendlier version of the Big Bad Wolf from The Three Little Pigs.

Shorts & TV series

    Pixar Animation Studios
  • Brave - Dunbroch
    • Sora's Keyblade is named "claidheamh-mòr" and becomes a claymore.
  • A Bug's Life - Ant Island / Bug City
  • Cars - Radiator Springs / Route 66
    • Home of the racing mini game. Naturally.
    • Sora will be a car though. How will this work?
    • Tow truck Sora. The keyblade is his hook.
    • The keyblade becomes a Car Key. Come on, it has to be done!
    • Sora's crown will be his hood ornament.
    • But then how would Donald and Goofy work?
    • Being a bird, Donald becomes a fighter jetnote , with his staff becoming his vertical tailwing. Goofy, being a country farmer, becomes a tractor, with his shield becoming his front bumper.
  • Coco - The Land of the Dead
    • This one could be important to the plot, given its themes of life and death…
    • Here's some good potential: It's a sequel. Maybe Sora is in the land of the dead, sees Héctor, Imelda, Coco, and the rest of their family make a visit to the other side, but they persuade Sora to at least try. To their surprise, he's let through. And on the other side, he sees Roxas and Xion with a picture of Sora. Why those two? Xion's name is pronounced "Shion" - which means "I won't forget you".
  • Elemental - Element City
    • Sora will become an Air person due to his name meaning "sky" in Japanese, which is heavily associated with the air element, Donald will become a Water person because he's a duck, and Goofy will become an Earth person because he's a country farmer.
    • I think Sora may be a Fire person, instead, just because of his hair. Like, come on! LOOK at that spiky mess, and TELL me it wouldn't turn into flame in that world!
    • Additionally, if we got characters besides the main trio visiting:
      • Air: Roxasnote , Ventusnote
      • Earth: Riku, Terranote
      • Fire: Lea/Axelnote
      • Water: Aqua, Kairi, Naminé, Xionnote
  • Elio - The Communiverse
  • Finding Nemo - Great Barrier Reef / Deep Ocean
    • Game Mechanics will be similar to Atlantica
    • Sora will be a fish though. How will he wield his Keyblade?
    • He holds it in his mouth?
    • Or Sora becomes an angler fish with whatever Keyblade he's holding taking the place of their light.
  • The Good Dinosaur - Clawtooth Mountain
  • The Incredibles - Metroville / Nomanisan Island
    • If they set it AFTER the first movie, a robot/AI copy of Syndrome could be the boss.
    • Sora and the gang will gain actual superhero outfits this time rather than just some headgear in San Fransokyo.
    • Bonus points if Donald and Goofy become PK/The Duck Avenger and SuperGoof respectively.
  • Inside Out - Riley's Mind / Mindscape
    • With how big a role memories play in Inside Out, this might be a perfect world for the Sea Salt Trio to visit.
    • Sora ends up being exposed to "Triple Dent Gum", and it ends up coming back. Then much much later, he remembers it again as a Brick Joke.
    • Instead of Riley's mind, we enter the mind of one of the KH main characters and visit their emotions. Exploring the character's Personality Islands, Long Term Memory, or Subconscious will be important to serve the main plot. It also fits with Pixar using original locations and not wanting to rehash film plots.
    • The Unversed could be this world's enemies instead of the Heartless, harvesting negative emotions and possibly wanting to eliminate Joy.
  • Luca - Porto Rosso
  • Onward - New Mushroomton
    • Barley would already know of Keyblades due to them being part of his tabletop RPG game.
    • The spell that Ian and Barley used to try and bring back their father could also be used to return Sora. Just like what happened in the film, it fails.
      • So his legs?
  • Ratatouille - Gusteau's
    • Sora would most likely be shrunken down just like Ven and Aqua were in Castle of Dreams, along with being given the ability to talk with Remy and the other rats.
  • Soul - The Great Before
    • Same reasons as Coco.
  • Turning Red - Toronto
    • A boss fight against Panda!Ming would be a huge centerpiece.
      • After that, Sora ends up going into the ritual dimension and defeating the pureblood heartless that spawned from the generational trauma.
  • Up - Paradise Falls
  • WALL•E - The Axiom or the Garbage Planet
    • Could be a prime location for 2B and 9S to make an appearance.
    • Sora, Donald and Goofy would become robots and it would be an opportunity for Nomura and the writers to challenge themselves to make a world largely devoid of dialogue.
      • Alternatively, they could remain in their normal forms, and they could be seen as "Aliens" on the Axiom.

    Other Disney animated films

    Live-action/animation hybrid movies

    Live-action Disney movies
  • 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea - The Nautilus
  • Babes in Toyland - Toyland
    • Andy has a Babes in Toyland book.
    • The keyblade turns into a toy sabre
  • The Black Hole - USS Cygnus
  • The Chronicles of Narnianote - Narnia
  • Descendants - Auradon
    • A meeting between Sora and the Villain Kids would be a very awkward experience for both parties. Sora would be creeped out by the prospect that the Disney villains had children, while the VKs would think Sora is just talking crazy for claiming that he killed their parents.
    • This would work better as a FAR FUTURE type of world. In a way, it could also be an epilogue for Sora and Co as well.
  • Dick Tracy - Gangster Town
  • George of the Jungle - George's Jungle
  • Halloween Townnote
    • The plot of Return to Halloweentown had Kal sucking the halloweeny-ness from the World, so it'll be revealed that Halloween Town is what its supposed to look, while the Disney Channel one is a result of Kal's spell. Resulting in Sora and the Cromwell family teaming up to return Halloween Town to normal.
  • Hamilton - The American Revolution
    • The rapping would be difficult but the parallels between Hamilton/Burr and Sora/Riku are too juicy to resist!
  • High School Musical - East High School
  • Hocus Pocus and Hocus Pocus 2 - Bewitched Salemnote
    • The Sanderson Sisters, given their popularity, could easily become threats to rival or even work with Maleficent. Heck, Sora could be the one to light the black flame candle this time! He’s gotta be a… well, you know.
  • Holes - Camp Green Lake
  • John Carter - Barsoom (Also Mars)
  • National Treasure - The Templar’s Trail
  • Newsies - Pulitzer's City
  • Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - Persia
    • As a Ubisoft property, unlikely
  • Return to Oz or Oz the Great and Powerful - The Land of Oz
    • Even better - if it's Oz the Great and Powerful, Evanora basically makes Theodora become a Heartless.
  • The Rocketeer - The Airfields
  • The Santa Clause - The OTHER North Pole
    • It'll be revealed that while The Nightmare Before Christmas Santa delivers gifts to a majority of Worlds, some Worlds have a local Santa (in this case Scott Calvin) to lighten the workload.
  • Witch Mountain

    Animated Disney shows
  • Adventures of the Gummi Bears - Gummi Glen
  • American Dragon: Jake Long - New Yorknote
  • Amphibia - Wartwood Swamp, Frog Valley, Newtopia, Amphibia, Los Angeles
    • Are world names allowed to be the same as the source material?
    • The Core could easily become a major threat either competing against or working with Maleficent, since their goal is to become a Multiversal Conqueror.
    • Anne and Sasha's relationship shares a few similarities to Sora and Riku's during Kingdom Hearts I.
    • Anne, Sasha and Marcy will come from one of the original worlds, like Twilight Town.
    • Someone will comment that Goofy and Hop Pop's voices sound similar.
  • Big City Greens - Big City
  • Brandy & Mr. Whiskers - The Amazon
  • Darkwing Duck - St. Canard
  • Dave the Barbarian - Udragoth
  • Doug - Bluffington
  • Doc Mcstuffins - Toy Hospital
  • Elena of Avalor - Kingdom of Avalor
    • (Can probably pull some stuff from the finale or even when Shuriki was still a threat to avalor).
  • Fireball - Tempest Domain
  • Fish Hooks - Buds Pets
  • Gargoyles - Castle Wyvern/Manhattan Rooftops/Avalonnote
  • The Ghost and Molly McGee - Brighton/Ghost Worldnote
    • Sora and pals could probably turn into ghosts upon arrival so that they can communicate with other ghost characters (Scratch, Geoff, the ex-Council, etc). But would they do that with Donald's magic or a portal to the Ghost World, like what Molly and Darryl did?
  • Gravity Fallsnote  - Gravity Falls / Cryptid Country
    • Bill Cipher could easily become a major threat to rival or work alongside Maleficent.
    • Ford is aware of the worlds beyond his own due to his adventures on the other side of the portal.
  • Hailey's On It! - Oceanside, California
  • Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil - Mellowbrook
  • Kiff - Table Town
  • Kim Possible - Middleton
  • Miraculous Ladybug - Miraculous Parisnote
    • Does Disney own Miraculous Ladybug?
      • Not entirely. It's an international co-production that Disney has a significant part in. With how much it airs on multiple versions of Disney Channel, they might as well have a big hand in it, at least.
    • A main party member will be akumatized and the rest have to help Ladybug and Cat Noir defeat them.
  • Motorcity - Detroit Deluxe
  • The Owl Housenote - The Boiling Isles
    • Once again, other worlds are common knowledge here.
    • Belos could become a major threat working against or with Maleficent.
    • Like the above with Amphibia, Luz will come from an original world.
    • The plot could be an original story set in the aftermath of Belos’ defeat or the epilogue set four years later. Titan Luz could be a summon.
    • Could the Collector join Yen Sid, Merlin, the Good Fairies, and the Fairy Godmother as a cross-world ally now that he's a good guy? They seem to fall in that category as an omnipotent character that would likely know about the other worlds outside of their own.
  • Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero - Middleburg. Other worlds will be common knowledge here due to the Multi-Universe Transprojectors. The world's storyline could also be a sequel to the show, since it did end on quite the Sequel Hook.
  • Pepper Ann - Hazelnut
  • Phineas and Ferb/Milo Murphy's Law - The Tri-State Area
    • If the game has multiple routes with different characters a la Birth by Sleep, then one character could partner with Phineas and Ferb while the other partners with Perry and have the two storylines secretly interact with each other, just like the show: Sora with the humans, and Donald and Goofy with the OWCA agents.
    • Like with The Nightmare Before Christmas and Frozen, the show is HUGELY popular in Japan, so if we DO get worlds based on Disney cartoons, this will almost DEFINITELY be the first one.
  • Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja - Norrisville
  • Schoolhouse Rock! - Conjunction Junction
  • Sofia the First - Enchancia
    • Sofia has knowledge of other worlds due to regularly interacting with the Disney princesses that Sora has met. They will have a lot of explaining to do.
    • The Amulet of Avalor would be a plot point related to the future new 7 seven lights, and it could be used for whatever next big bad the series would have.
  • Star vs. the Forces of Evil - Mewni
  • Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! - Shuggazoom City
  • Teamo Supremo - The State
  • Wander over Yonder - Yonder Galaxy
  • W.I.T.C.H. - Heatherton and Meridion
    • Man such a shame that the comics had such a fallout with Disney - because the whole Heart of Kandrakar thing would have fit Kingdom Hearts perfectly with W.I.T.C.H defending it.

    Live-action Disney shows

    Disney Parks
  • Big Thunder Mountain
  • The Country Bears - Country Bear Jamboree
  • Disney Kingdoms Figment comics - The Academy Scientifica Lucidus and the Realms of Imagination
    • If Dreamfinder and Figment are not summoned characters, Sora could wind up playing a role in the altered events of either the first or second series of Figment comics.
    • The boss fight would be against the Singular or the Doubtfinder.
      • Bonus points if the latter possesses Donald and/or Goofy alongside the Dreamfinder and the students and staff of the Academy Scientifica Lucidus beforehand; Sora then has to escape the school with Figment to find help in the form of Dreamfinder's great-great-great grand-niece Capri.
    • Should it be based on the second Figment series, people will initially mistake Donald and Goofy for imaginary friends that were brought to life but will be corrected by Sora.
    • Chairman Auckley would be just as skeptical of Sora as he is of Dreamfinder and Figment in the beginning but would lose that skepticism in the end.
  • ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter - XS Tech Headquarters/Research and Development
  • The Haunted Mansion - Gracey Manor or Ravenswood Manor
    • The portrait room could be an excellent location for a boss fight.
    • The 2023 movie adaptation could also be a good idea as well. Maybe it can border one of the realm of light's many underworlds or even the Final World, and there's a lot of ghouls that could be good for Sora to battle his way in.
  • Journey into Imagination- The Dream Port and (again) the Realms of Imagination
    • Like the Hundred Acre Wood, there will be no Heartless or other enemies here.
    • Sora, Donald, and Goofy could get advice from Dreamfinder and Figment as far as how the power of imagination could help them.
    • Naturally, Dreamfinder and Figment are aware of the existence of other worlds.
  • Journey Into Imagination With Figment-The Imagination Institute
    • There will be an easy to miss insult to Journey Into YOUR Imagination via making the events of that ride a Noodle Incident, at least from Sora, Donald, and Goofy's perspective; Figment tries to tell the trio about the Imagination Scanner, only for Dr. Channing to interrupt and remind him "We don't talk about that, Figment!"
      • All that gets to be mentioned is that the Imagination Scanner "was highly disliked by the public" as a reference to that version of the ride getting negative reception from guests in real life.
    • There will be some Canon Welding with the original version of Journey Into Imagination with the explanation that Figment acted more like a pest in this version because of missing Dreamfinder so much.
  • Jungle Cruise - Schweitzer Falls
  • Mission to Mars - Mars (Again)
  • Space Mountain
  • Tomorrowland
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror - Hollywood Tower Hotel or Hotel Hightower

    20th Century Studios

20th Century Studios movies

20th Television

  • 24 - Los Angeles
  • American Born Chinese (2023) - The Heavenly Realm
  • American Dad! - Langley Falls
  • Archer - The International Secret Intelligence Service
    • One of Archer’s coma dreams could be used as well.
  • Bob's Burgers - WonderWarf
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayernote - Sunnydale
    • Angel - City of Angels
    • Vampires, being beings without souls, could be easily likened to Heartless or Nobodies.
    • Giles and the Watchers Council will have knowledge of other worlds because a past Slayer also happened to be a Keyblade wielder.
    • The Hellmouth will serve as a bridge to Quadratum
    • Two friends are forced to fight after one succumbs to the darkness. Are we talking about Sora and Riku/Aqua, Ventus and Terra/Roxas and Xion or Buffy and Willow?
  • Central Park
  • Family Guy - Quahog, Rhode Island
  • Firefly - The Farthest Frontier
  • Futurama - New New York
  • Glee - William McKinley High School
    • Why only have one musical set in a high school when we can have two?
  • The Great Northnote
  • It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Sunny PA
  • King of the Hill - Arlen
    • Hank's propane and propane accessories can be used in the Gummi Garage.
  • Koala Man - Dapto
  • Lost in Spacenote - Mysterious Planet
  • The Mysterious Benedict Society - L.I.V.E. Institute
  • Only Murders in the Building - The Arconia
    • The game gets its own tie-in podcast, narrated by Cinda Channing.
  • The Orville
  • The Simpsons - Springfield
    • The world could be one big self-parody of the KH series's tropes, with writers from the series consulting/contributing.
    • Homer and Bart could be the party members.
    • A big boss could be Sideshow Bob.
  • Solar Opposites - Shlorpian Household/The Wall
  • What We Do in the Shadows (2019) - Staten Island
    • The camera recording the in-series documentary becomes the in game camera. Sora even gets interviewed.
  • The X-Files - Washington, D.C.

    Marvel
A.K.A. Earth 616 (Marvel Comics)/Earth-199999 (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

    Lucasfilm

Star Wars - A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Non-Star Wars Lucasfilm media

    Other Disney media

    Square Enix media

    Non-Disney/Square Enix media
  • Bluey - Brisbane. Besides the show's overall popularity, Disney also treats this show as if it were part of its family despite not owning the IP (yet).
  • Clone High - Because Touchstone Television was involved with the first season.
  • Coachella - Because Hikaru Utada was there. That is all I got.
  • Doctor Who - The Tardis. The show has a long history with Disney, and the company will be co-producing a future series of it.
    • The Master could definitely be compared to Xehanort as they're both time-traveling villains who can change their appearances.
    • The Doctor will turn out to be key to rescuing Sora from Unreality.
  • Dragalia Lost - Grastaea. Because I like it.
  • The Fairly OddParents! - Dimmsdale. Because it aired on Disney Channel in Japan and a decent amount of other countries. That's literally it.
  • How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk. Because the second film was originally distributed by 20th Century Fox.note
  • Jurassic Park - Isla Nublar/Jurassic Dominion. Because Jurassic World: Battle at Big Rock was released on Disney-owned FX, so it might technically count.
  • The Land Before Time - The Great Valley Because I had a dream it was a Kingdom Hearts world.
    • In all fairness, Lucasfilm did have a hand in the film's production, but the IP is owned by Universal, making the chances of this happening next to none.
  • Madeline - Because the 2000 cartoon series premiered on the Playhouse Disney block of Disney Channelnote . It won't be a world; rather, Madeline and the eleven other boarding school girls will be IV's obligatory Collection Sidequest: they will be lost across the worlds and will reward Sora with items and abilities if he finds them, much like the Dalmatian Puppies in the first game.
  • NIMONA (2023) - The Kingdom. Because the film was originally produced at Blue Sky Studios before the studio shut down.
  • Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea - Open Ocean. Because Disney distributed it in North America.
  • The Secret of Kells - Abbey of Kells. Because it was distributed by Buena Vista International in its home country of Ireland.
  • Spirited Away - Kami Bathhouse. Because Disney distributed it in North America.
  • Storm Hawks - Atmos. Because the show aired on Disney XD for a time.
  • Tomb Raider - Yamatai. Because the IP was once owned by Square Enix.
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country - Kingdom of Torna. Because Tetsuya Nomura was a character designer for that game.
  • Touhou Project - Gensokyo/The Outside World. In a way Gensokyo could work as world that could be neighboring Quadratum just like how in the main series it's near Tokyo. Sumireko (or even Renko and Maribel) could help Sora in the Quadratum side of the story, while the Gensokyo side could be the equivalent of a disney world. Maybe they could bring Rumia as maybe a plot point due to her connections with the Darkness.
  • Yo Kai Watch - Sprindale/Yo-kai world. Because the series has made crossover Yo-kai with the Final Fantasy characters, and there were Final Fantasy events in Yo Kai Watch Wibble Wobble as well.

Returning worlds

    Returning worlds

Disney worlds

  • Aladdin and the King of Thieves - Agrabah
    • The Oracle could be very useful in revealing what Quadratum is or how to get Sora back.
    • This does raise a thorny question: who is going to voice Iago?
    • Hopefully someone who can do a good Gilbert Gottfried impression.
    • He could possibly be unvoiced like Phil in III.
  • Beauty and the Beast - Beast's Castle
    • We could finally get a boss fight between Sora and Gaston, not to mention see Belle’s Village.
    • It'll be revealed that the visits to Beast's Castle in II and 358/2 Days took place before Gaston invaded, while the post credits scene from II with Belle dancing with the Beast's human form took place long after this scenario.
  • Big Hero 6: The Series - San Fransokyo
  • Christopher Robin - 100 Acre Wood
    • Or alternatively, 100 Acre Wood's story will be based on Pooh's Grand Adventure, albeit with the Heartless somehow interfering, thus justifying the film's darker elements, and the story is even sadder since Dramatic Irony would certainly be in play here in terms of Pooh and pals looking for Sora.
  • Cinderella III: A Twist in Time - Castle of Dreams
    • The Tremaines will no doubt have to be brought Back from the Dead somehow, thus allowing for a boss fight against Lady Tremaine while she uses the Fairy Godmother's wand.
  • Classic Disney Shorts - Disney Town/Castle
    • Timeless River
  • Frozen II - Arendelle/Enchanted Forest/Ahtohallan
    • While Disney is strict on their portrayal... a retelling of Frozen II would actually not be too far off: Sora ends up stuck in the Encahnted Forest but before it's unsealed, is able to deliver a message to those who came to find him. He remains in the Enchanted Forest (Gameplay and Story Integration).
  • Hercules - Olympus and the Underworld
    • Donald and Goofy may have traveled to the latter in the trailer to find Hades.
  • The Hunchback of Notre Dame - La Cité des Cloches
  • The Lion King II: Simba's Pride - Pride Lands
  • The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea - Atlantica
    • Hopefully WITHOUT musical number minigames this time.
  • Mulan II - The Land of Dragons
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas - Halloween Town
    • Christmas Town (The other OTHER North Pole)
  • Pinocchio - Prankster’s Paradise and Monstro
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - The Caribbean
  • Sleeping Beauty - Enchanted Domain
  • Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - Dwarf Woodlands
    • The Magic Mirror could be crucial to getting Sora back.
  • Tangled: The Series - Kingdom of Corona
    • Sora/Riku and Rapunzel/Cassandra parallels. That is all.
    • The name may be changed to what it was in Melody, because current events and all.
      • Melody still called it "Kingdom of Corona" in-game, though (it's only a cutscene that didn't directly namedrop it).
    • If that happens, i hope they let The Dark Kingdom and it's rulers, or even Zhan Tiri have some sort of connection with the realm of Darkness.
  • Toy Story 2, 3, or 4 - Toy Box
    • Could be an important level, especially if Yozora is involved.
    • Maybe this time, Sora ends up going to the real Toy Story World. (Since toy box was apparently a construct)
  • TRON: Uprising - The Grid
  • Wreck-It Ralph - Game Central Station

Original worlds

  • Destiny Islands
  • The Land of Departure
    • An ideal tutorial world if we open with Kairi training under Aqua.
  • Radiant Garden
  • Scala Ad Caelum/Daybreak Town
    • Mickey ought to be there, looking for clues.
  • Twilight Town
  • Traverse Town
    • The Shibuyafied Traverse town. Joshua tries to help Sora out.
  • The Realm of Darkness

Additions to or alternate versions of previous worlds
  • Alice in Wonderland (2010) - Underland
    • Alternatively, since its been confirmed that all Worlds run on Narnia Time, this World will be a sequel to the original Wonderland world with it having been about ten years since Alice met Sora.
  • Alice's Wonderland Bakery - Wonderland
  • Classic Disney Shorts - Disney Town/Castle additions:
    • Donald in Mathmagic Land - Mathmagic Land
    • DuckTales - Duckburg
      • Could be an Adaptation Distillation of the 1987 and 2017 versions.
      • For the 2017 version, Bradford Buzzard's story could change a bit as he would have been interested in Master Xehanort, and how his motive of balancing both Light and Darkness was the same as his "create a world devoid of adventure". And with the rediscovery of Scala, his entire story could be mirrored to The Last Adventure, only that instead of using the Solego Vortex, he would try and use an "unfinished" X-blade to change the worlds and keep it in order, just like what Master Xehanort wished.
    • Mickey and the Beanstalknote - Happy Valley/Willie's Castle
    • Goof Troop - Spoonerville, also includes the "How To" series
      • This will be the FAR future of the Kingdom Hearts Universe. The Heartless have been permanently defeated and both Goofy and Pete retire to the suburbs. Overtime they both start their own families and begin to bond as friends.
    • House of Mouse
    • Legend of the Three Caballeros - New Quackmore Institute
    • Mickey Mouse (2013) - Mouseton
      • Denser and Wackier applies.
      • Potentially the Kingdom Hearts IV equivalent to Timeless River
      • They could also find a way to connect it with Spoonerville and Duckburg as it appears in the 2017 version of DuckTales, as either worlds connected to Disney Castle/Timeless River or cities that exist within that same world.
      • The Prince of Vampires could make a good Secret boss firght for that world.
    • Mickey Mouse Clubhouse including Mickey and the Roadster Racers and Mickey Mouse Funhouse- Hot Dog Hills
  • Disney Fairies - Pixie Hollow
  • Fantasia 2000 - Symphony Of Sorcery 2000
  • Lightyear - T'Kani Prime
    • If Yozora can exist in Quadratum and in a game in Toy Box, this can work too. Plus, a DDD “sleeping world” scenario can be used to explain it away.
    • Buzz Lightyear of Star Command - Star Command Spacenote
      • Possibly a part of Quadratum given its nature as a Show Within a Show in the Toy Story universe.
  • Lilo & Stitch - Hawaii
  • The Little Mermaid (1992) - Undersea AbyssWhat's that?
    • The fact that the Undersea Abyss somewhat resembles the Giant Crevasse area of End of the World will not go unnoticed by Sora.
    • The Little Mermaid (2023) but it's a parallel universe situaion. It might get interesting if cartoon-Ariel is available to summon and factors into cutscenes.
  • Maleficent - The Moors
    • The film's version of Maleficent will be an ally to Sora this time, although Sora will be very uncomfortable around her.
  • Monsters University
    • That's gonna be tricky to implement considering Monsters University is a prequel to Monsters, Inc., yet the world Sora & friends visited clearly takes place after the latter.
      • Two words, my friend: Class reunion
    • Two other words pal: TIME. TRAVEL.
    • MIFT will have a part to play.
    • We can finlly have a proper fight against Randall this way.
  • Return To Never Land - Neverland.
  • Christopher Robin - London
    • This variant of the Winnie-the-Pooh world will NOT be a minigame world due to the Darker and Edgier nature of the film if Sora simply replaces Christopher Robin again, but can still be the minigame world if set after the film.

Non-Square Enix franchises Final Fantasy has crossed over with
    Video games

Most or all of the game could be set in Quadratum
Judging by the press releases, it’s possible that Quadratum will be a major setting - if not the only setting - of the game. Either that or there will be a way to get Sora out to the Disney worlds, either by astral projection or treating Quadratum the same way as Twilight Town in II, as a prolonged prologue.
  • If this translation is correct, Sora could be in Quadratum for at least the same amount of time Roxas was in Twilight Town in II, lending some weight to the prolonged prologue theory.

We will finally see Sora’s mom
Either in a flashback or confronting his friends about her constantly missing son.

There will be multiple playable characters
Sora, the other keybladers, and perhaps finally Donald and Goofy.
  • Just like in Birth by Sleep, there will be multiple storylines for everyone that you'll get to play through at various points in the game, such as Kairi training with Aqua, Mickey, Donald & Goofy searching for Sora, whatever the Twilight Town gang will be up to, Riku meeting Yozora during his quest for Sora, and more.
    • Remembering how Sora astral projected himself into his friends in the DLC and Melody, it’s possible that any number of Disney/Square/Original characters could be playable.

Sora and Strelitzia are ghosts
Strelitzia described Quadratum as an “afterworld”, so it is possible she and Sora are ghosts unable to leave or even be seen by the people of this world.

The four Darknesses trapped between worlds will appear in Quadratum
Nameless Star mentions that Yozora's heart has been replaced by another and also if she leaves she'd lose her own. Combined with Yozora, Magia and Aegis that's four. Or perhaps her technical escape will mean they need a new fourth such as Luxord or Strelitzia...

Quadratum and the Disney worlds could be vaguely aware of each other.
Just as Yozora was in a video game in Toy Box, the Disney worlds could exist as… well… Disney movies in Quadratum, playing out the way they originally did in our world with no Heartless or keybladers.

Sora could be irrevocably altered by this world
It’s likely that he might lose his memories again or have whatever happened to Yozora to happen to him.

Sora will astral project himself back into his own side of reality
Remembering that Yozora was asleep when he fought Sora in the DLC, it’s possible that he will remember how to astral project as he did in Re:Mind to help his friends save him.

The MoM could be the big bad… maybe.

Lauriam and other former organization members will play a part in saving Sora.
Strelitzia is his sister after all. If he saves Sora, he can save her. Plus there’s also the card Luxord gave Sora, which might come in handy.
  • Demyx and Luxord’s backstories will be explained.
  • Elrena will be portrayed as a Defrosting Ice Queen.

The Shinra Electric Company exists and operates in Quadratum.

Donald and Goofy do an Enemy Mine with Hades/other Disney villains to save Sora
  • As Maleficent and Pete are the only ones who know about the Black Box (they literally saw Xigbar/Luxu with it), maybe they know the box is tied to Quadratum. That box can be retrieved with the powers of Disney villains, hence why Donald and Goofy are allying with Disney villains.
  • This could end with them cutting a deal with the ghost of a newly resurrected Xehanort.

Hades will visit Quadratum using Donald's magic - and he looks like Emet-Selch.
This will lead to René Zagger doing an impression of James Woods as Hades, and it will be glorious.

Cloud and Sephiroth are in Quadratum
Cloud might have amnesia after their fight in II, and Sephiroth might be stalking him, waiting for the chance to continue their battle.
  • Needless to say, bonus boss fight against the one winged Angel.
  • Is there an entry on the Final Fantasy VII Remake page about the possibility of Sepiroth remembering all the times he fought cloud? Including in Kingdom Hearts?

Other deceased characters are in Quadratum
Could be a good way to get Xehanort and Eraqus back into the fray. Plus imagine Sora fighting alongside Mufasa!
  • Plus, if we see any Disney villains who were killed throughout the series, it's very likely they'll want one last chance at revenge on Sora for defeating them. Examples include Jafar, Scar, Ursula, Oogie Boogie, Shan-Yu, Davy Jones, Frollo, Mother Gothel and Hans. This could also be a good chance to use villains without having to bring back the worlds they originated from.
    • Imagine the confrontation between Scar and Mufasa!
  • If Marvel and Star Wars characters are there too, we could see everyone/anyone who was taken out on Alderan, as part of Order 66, or as part of the Blip.

The Rescue Rangers and Rescue Aid Society are called in by Chip and Dale to help save Sora

Yozora needs Sora in Quadratum for an unknown purpose. He will be opposing Riku and the others’ efforts to reach their friend.

Roxas’ Twilight Town friends will receive keyblades of their own

Sora will be able to customize his attacks to a certain extent

The giant light drill Sora uses against the Darkside resembles the one used by Drill Punch, previously locked to Favorite Deputy and Classic Tone. Maybe as the game progresses, instead of new Keyblades Sora will remember old attacks from Formchanges and be able to use versions of them crafted through Light.

Strelitzia could end up playing an antagonistic role

Sora could be Arrested for Heroism
You can’t fight a giant heartless in the middle of a realistic city with out the police having questions. Probably a good idea if he doesn’t mention the “talking” duck and the dog man he usually pals around with.

The Wicked Twisters will show up
Since Quadratum is based on Shibuya, it makes sense.
  • The Reaper’s game is in session and Shoka will be keeping an eye on them.
  • This could also lead to Sora finally reuniting with Neku and company, bringing the "See you in Shibuya" line from Dream Drop Distance full-circle.

Sora still has the χ-Blade, but it's temporarily taken the form of the Kingdom Key.
This would explain the drill attack he uses in the trailer, which used to be tied to other keychains in III. It could also be the reason why Yozora needs Sora to stay in Quadratum; as long as he's here, the χ-Blade is effectively "off the board" and can't be used in the Master of Masters' plans, but if Sora returns to the Realm of Light, it could reignite the Keyblade War, with MoM picking up right where Xehanort left off.

Sora's exploits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be treated as canon by means of a Lawyer-Friendly Continuity Nod of some kind.
  • Imagine a finishing move inspired by Sora's Final Smash, where he'll create a door to trap enemies in before locking it.

Sora will learn that he’s the Child of Destiny
Sora learns that he’s mentioned in the Book of Prophecies by either Luxord’s human self or the Master of masters. Since it was heavily implied that Sora’s the real Child of Destiny, this will be an important plot point for not only the game, but also the Lost Master Arc, and Sora will learn this either from Luxord or the Master of masters.

The game will finally let you bring characters from other worlds and be part of your party, not just as Summons or Links
Something might happen that allows this to happen. Perhaps the World Order is beginning to crack due to the Master of Master's shenanigans. Whatever the case, certain party members you meet in worlds you visit will now join you in ensuring the worlds are saved before they all return to their own worlds by the end of the game. Perhaps Donald and Goofy are permanent while you can have one or two extra members from a different world during gameplay. As for cutscenes and the story, it will be Hand Waved that your party members are usually in your Gummi Ship waiting for your instructions as you recruit more and more of them while they don't actually show up in story cutscenes.
  • Alternatively, Sora does Link with them and that's how they end up joining him. A much later part of the game will temporarily have this sealed off and Sora gets them back one-by-one.

Riku or another character will have to perform a heroic sacrifice to save Sora
Like they might have to die themselves, be turned into a Heartless/Nobody or take Sora’s place in Quadratum so that he can leave.

Screw it, reference or appearance of Balan from Balan Wonderworld
  • Balan's theater would likely be found in Twilight Town or Radiant Garden, where he enlists the help of one of the Guardians of Light to assist him in stopping Lance from making hearts fall to darkness.

The game will pull a Spider-Man: No Way Home and have all of Sora’s friends forget about him
This time, he won’t have that amnesia or year long coma to keep him from that trauma.

Mary Poppins will become a major Big Good and opponent against the MoM.
Someone like Mary Poppins could know a lot about other worlds, keyblades, the history of the cosmos, and Quadratum. And of course, she wouldn’t explain anything, because she doesn’t.
  • MoM, Xehanort, Eraquis, Yen Sid, and the various fairies will know quite a bit about her… as much as Burt would at least.

The Society of Explorers and Adventurers (SEA) from the Disney Theme Park lore will be introduced and play an important role

People are being kidnapped to Quadratum
There is a plot involving Yozora involving individuals from the Disney side of reality being kidnapped to Quadratum for an unknown purpose.

Strelitzia is pining for the Union X Player
  • Strelitzia had been infatuated with Player for some time, but never got a chance to talk to them. She tried to save them from fighting in the Keyblade War, and ended up dying for it. Now she's spent an eternity wondering what became of Player.
    • Even worse if only wielders who merge their hearts with their Chirithy can go to Quadratum. Since Player allowed their heart to merge with baby Xehonart's foster parent, they might have (unintentionally) taken away Strelitzia's last hope and chance of being with them.

Versions of worlds based on live action remakes and other crossovers such as Descendants or Once Upon a Time would justify themselves with a Dream Drop Distance Type situation.

The Lich Heartless from III will return and be hunting Sora and Strelitzia.
Young Xehanort described it as a Psychopomp after all… and these two ARE supposed to be dead.
  • It will return with three new Heartless based on Marilith, Kraken and Tiamat.

There will be Product Placement in Quadratum similar to Final Fantasy XV.

The identity of the Male Narrator in the Reveal Trailer
So far the only clues to his identity that have been given are:
  • 1) He's a character who has appeared before.
  • 2) This was the first time that he has been given voiced lines.
  • 3) He isn't Brain.
  • 4) He and the narrator for the Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link Reveal Trailer are the same character
Possible Characters that the Male Narrator could be include:
  • The Kingdom Hearts χ Protagonist
  • Darkness
  • Sigurd
  • Bragi
  • Baldr
  • Hermod
    • If this link is correct, the voice should be Sigurd.

The MoM could attempt to divide Sora’s friends and turn them against each other, either through subtle manipulation or outright mind control

It will turn out Quadratum is actually one giant, elaborate digital world that The Master of Masters has complete control over.

Sora's lack of Clown Shoes will be lampshaded
He'll look at a flashback (or something else that would show him in his one of his old outfits) and say something along the lines of "did I really wear those?".
  • Someone will also remark on how small Sora's feet turned out to be underneath his shoes.

Strelitzia is gonna turn out to have been the Nameless Star
Looks to be jossed, as Nomura stated in an interview after the release of the trailer that the Nameless Star is important to Verum Rex, something that had already been hinted at before in Re: Mind and Melody of Memory. Additionally, the Fairy Godmother and the Star herself pretty much confirmed that she was a native of Quadratum, which Strelitzia is most definitely not.

Yozora is going to have been someone from Daybreak Town with their memories erased.

The events of the Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022) movie will tie in with the plot of this game
In the new trailer for the film, one can briefly see Sora’s keyblade. Assuming he isn’t an animated actor like Chip and Dale are in the film’s universe, it could tie in with his disappearance to Quadratum.
  • Outside of the Kingdom Key and Sora's hair appearing among the toon features collected by Sweet Pete, there's no Kingdom Hearts references so consider this jossed until further notice.

Strelitzia will compare Sora to the Union X Player
Without giving too much detail Strelitzia could mention how Sora's a lot like someone she wanted to know but just barely missed the chance to. Sora could even make an off comment about how they seemed like a pretty cool person. Meanwhile every player in the know starts uncomfortably tugging at their collars.
  • Jossed by the ending of Dark Road. The player character for Union X didn't reincarnate as Xehanort, but as their foster parent.

Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XV will finally make their Kingdom Hearts debut in this installment.
To be fair, it's been overdue for other Final Fantasy games to show up in the series. Just for a fresh new variety. I mean, having Lightning and company also searching for Sora, or Noctis helping Sora get back home? It would be a great idea to add more Final Fantasy elements after Kingdom Hearts III didn't include them outside of Re:Mind.

Final Fantasy XVI folks show up
Clive and his pals make an appearance. It'll probably be enough of a release gap between the two games, and it's known that Creative Business Unit I (the one developing KH4) assisted Creative Business Unit II with the development of Final Fantasy XVI. Bonus points if Jill is a Princess of Heart. Why should Kairi be the only non-Disney one?

The Whispers from Final Fantasy VII Remake will come into play.
The presence of the keyblade wielders and various Heartless, Nobodies and so on will have set the Disney worlds off from their intended paths. They will seek to correct the canon.

If any Final Fantasy VII characters show up, they'll be voiced by their Remake actors
Cody Christian at least has voiced Cloud in all appearances since 2020, effectively replacing Steve Burton, despite Square Enix's claims that this wouldn't happen.

MOM will try to get Sora as an apprentice.
Chances are, Sora may well be part of what the Master of Masters was waiting for all the centuries in Quadratum. Perhaps the Master of Masters may have planned for him to be sent to Quadratum, so he can meet Sora and try to convince him to join his side. Considering Sora has been repeatedly acknowledged to have unseen levels of talent as a a Keyblade Wielder, it's quite likely that given his defeat of Xehanort and everything else he's done, Sora has earned the Master of Masters interest.
  • Chances are, the Master of Masters will try to get Sora by showing him Sympathy for the Hero, considering that while he is the perpetrator of everything Xehanort, he did it not for any apparent selfish desire to be the most powerful being and know everything, unlike Xehanort, but rather because he just wants to eliminate the darkness and make the world a better place. Sora may not be receptive.... But this is the Master of Masters. He's bound be able to give Sora brutal truths that'll shake him to the core, especially considering the Master's goal may appeal to Sora's deep-rooted desire to just live in peace with Kairi, and that may be what the Master offers to Sora. He promises the boy that Kairi will be with him in the new world and that although they'll have to rough down Sora's friends, it'll all be worth it. THAT combined with the fact that the Master may well be able to frame the conflicts Sora will face is neverending as unless the Master succeeds, darkness can never be fully suppressed, may just break Sora and he may join the Master briefly.
    • Alternatively, Sora will still refuse.... But even so, the Master will still have a deep impact that will later come back to haunt and cause Sora to have a brief Face–Heel Turn.

MOM will be the final boss of the game.
Taking into consideration the Master's apparent interest in Sora, there is a chance that he'll be the last opponent Sora has to fight. The party members will be fellow Keyblade wielders or even Master levels like Riku, Terra, Aqua, and maybe even Mickey.... But they still won't win. They'll get the better of him, but the Master will survive to remain the main antagonist. It'll be a great example of The Worf Effect to display just how strong he is.
  • As for why the Master will be the final boss, he may appear before Sora just as they are leaving Quadratum and they'll talk about everything that's happened between them while they were in Quadratum before the Master extends his offer again and Sora refuses. They fight in a single duel first, with Sora losing at first until he gets backup. And just as they seem to be winning, the Master pulls the same trick Sephiroth used in Remake and gives Sora a vision of what will happen in the future if the Master fails, adding in illusions of what Sora could have if he accepts the offer and what the Master believes will happen if he doesn't. Sora can either be shaken enough to finally break and accept, thus becoming a reluctant and tragic antagonist desperately seeking a way to end all the fighting, or he'll still refuse and they have a last scuffle.... Ending with the Master disarming Sora and leaving him alone after telling him he'll face reality in the end.
  • In terms of intensity, the Master may well be the best Final Boss in Kingdom Hearts as of the time of it's release, considering all the hype he's been given. He starts out already with Xehanort-level magic and really strong Keyblade skills when Sora duels him individually and he's already using a few light and darkness moves.... But then as the fight escalates, he starts using light and darkness in unseen ways like conjuring circles that may be a Call-Back to Xehanort using the X-Blade to harness light magic, only that he ups it up by being able to do numerous things with it, hands out Ultima and numerous other top-tier Square Enix spells, and he starts Form changing his Keyblade to numerous forms.

The Phantom Thieves will make an appearance.

Sora’s already in Shibuya, (or a rip-off of Shibuya, anyway) and do you really think the Phantom Thieves would let monsters showing up in their world go unnoticed? It would be an interesting interaction, to say the least.
  • If Sega somehow ends up selling Atlus to Square Enix or Disney (or just the Persona/Megami Tensei franchise, at the very least), then maybe we could see this happen.

Smash Bros will get referenced.
It's unlikely but if they somehow get Nintendo's blessing, Smash will be referenced in the story, maybe during a potential boss battle with Sephiroth and it'll probably end with Sephiroth leaving before telling Sora to join "them" someday where fighters across universes come together to battle and that him and Cloud will be waiting.

A late game or final boss could be this previously unused concept of a boss made from an entire city
To escape Quadratum, Sora must FIGHT Quadratum…

Sora may end up going to other worlds, but technically only sub-worlds, or worlds that are close to Quadratum in some way.
And this gets integrated into a few plotlines. Basically, Sora ends up "Dead" or is in the "spirit world" so to speak. Thus he ends up only able to end up going to worlds but only in the "spirit" part of that world... or in worlds that are close enough. So bear with me:

  • Frozen 2: Sora ends up going to the forest dimension where everyone was sealed off/away from everyone. After freeing everyone, he ends up unable to leave (which is why he returns) but, to add more heartwarming/tear jerking moments, Kairi appears on the other side but she's unable to see Sora. But before they finally leave, Sora has Elsa/Anna/Sven&Kristoff tell Kairi "I'm alright", and the last thing he sees is a smile from her before she leaves.
  • Coco: Sora is essentially on the same plane of existence as the dead (hence why he appears to be a skeleton like them) but he is able to cross over as a ghost because someone has a picture of him. Or perhaps, the location where Sora is is the land of the dead, whereas the location in the "real" world (land of the living) is the same world he was from. So had he gone to the Coco world before, he'd have gone to the living side.
    • Soul: Similar things — he only exists in the Great Before.
  • Riley's Mind: Sora ends up inside Riley's Mind. The main reason he ends up going there is because Riley had played Verum Rex or one of those pixellated games from KH3 (somehow), and Sora is only able to take an appearance in Riley's mind in the way she remembers seeing him
  • Toy Box / Lightyear: The Toybox in KH3 was implied to have been a construct by Organiation XIII. Maybe Sora ends up in the real one? Or perhaps instead, he ends up in the world of Lightyear — which is fictive to Toy Story.
  • Encanto: It was originally sealed off, but the destruction of Casita caused it to be placed in an awkward area where it could be visited physically or spiritually. Unfortunately for Sora, none of his friends find the Encanto.
  • Wreck-it-Ralph / Ralph breaks the internet: The digital game world of course, but for a moment someone he knows plays one of the games/appears in the arcade (Maybe Ienzo?) and Sora tries to call out to them but they just see him as part of the game, and maybe comment "Huh, that looks like Sora..."
  • The Grid: Once again, sort of a world within a world thing, but this time he's in a different Grid. Perhaps this ends up kind of continuing from Dream Drop Distance.
  • Neverland: Maybe Neverland is also in sort of that awkward place where spirits and people can interact, with Neverland being sort of the "spirit world" to the "normal" world of London? This could perhaps be "Return to Neverland"
  • Shibuya: They're all but stated to be going to different plane(s) of reality, so maybe Sora just ends up there. Perhaps Joshua brings him to Mr. H.
  • The Jungle: An allusion to the fact that The Jungle Book was supposed to be in there for about 20 years now. So of course... he ends up there. Another allusion to the fact that Tarzan was all-but erased from the memories of everyone in the Kingdom Hearts universe — so he keeps getting Deja Vu from it all and even sees Heartless from the Deep Jungle.
  • Meet the Robinsons: Altered timelines, perhaps?
  • Bedknobs and Broomsticks: Sora only exists in Namboombu. Or perhaps, none of the characters from that movie appear there — only the animals on the island. And the ending would reveal Namboombu being inside a storybook.
  • The Hundred Acre Wood: It is essentially inside a book, so why couldn't Sora just appear there? But Merlin takes a look at the book and just says "interesting"...
  • Mary Poppins: Inside something like Burt's chalk drawings or the Bowl in returns.
  • Original world: "The World that Used To Be" or "The World that Once Was". Similar to how Toybox was implied to have been an artificial world, maybe sora ends up in a "The End of the World" type level again made up of a lot of other world(s). He finds that these were being used for Organization XIII's plans, but discarded because they couldn't get anything to work. Ie, maybe it's somewhat like the Altered Timeline from Meet the Robinsons, or includes all the various part(s) of failed experiments. The Heartless arose from what was left — leaving to some rather dark implications.

Sora won't visit any real worlds.
He will instead just travel to Data worlds, like the Union Cross player character.

The main characters will be Sora, Strelitzia and the male narrator as a trio.
Sora will fight like Ventus, Strelitzia will fight like Aqua and the male narrator will fight like Terra.

The Master of Masters is planning to lure his apprentices and others to Quadratum.
Based on what we know, the Master of Masters' ultimate goal has always been to destroy the Thirteen Original Darknesses. He and another unidentified figure (maybe Ava?) are in Quadratum together, and are planning to draw the Darknesses (including his own piece, the five within Luxu, Aced, Gula, Invi and Ira and the four trapped within the Data version of Daybreak Town, plus Vanitas — who's currently defeated, but will probably figure out a way to return — and the other two portions, or one if Ava and her piece are already in Quadratum) there, to a world where the rules are different, so they can all be destroyed for good with no chance of returning.

This will be a Destiny Trio game.
For the first time ever, Sora will have Riku and Kairi as his party members instead of Goofy and Donald for a change.

At least some of the younger cast will learn the Keyblade Glider skill in this game.
The Wayfinder Trio (well known for using this Formchange) are all around now and Kairi has explicitly requested to train under Aqua, who could certainly teach it to her, so it would make sense for her to learn it. And we've seen Sora learn how to use more formchanges in the trailer, so it'd make sense for him to learn this one too.

When the younger cast learns the Keyblade Glider formchange, it'll be used in a racing minigame.
'Nuff said, really — the Wayfinder Trio did the same thing in Birth By Sleep, so it only makes sense that others would use it for that purpose too.

The characters from Dark Road will appear in this game
It's been confirmed that Quadratum is basically the afterlife for Sora and Strelitzia. If that's the case, then it's possible that we'll see a vast majority of the Dark Road cast in IV, given that all of them (except Bragi, Eraqus, Xehanort and Master Odin) perished by the game's end.

Isa will become a Keyblade wielder.
Out of a desire to redeem himself and to be able to fight alongside Lea, he'll ask to train as a Keyblade wielder. And after training, he'll be able to formchange his new weapon into his Lunatic claymore, just like Lea could formchange his Keyblade into the Eternal Flames chakrams.

Riku will get back an old Keyblade.
A future scene in Kingdom Hearts IV will show Riku looking down at an item that he reveals he got from his Replica before the final battle, and serves as a Keychain that lets him turn his existing one into Way To the Dawn again, similar to how Sora looking at Kairi's lucky charm in II unlocked Oathkeeper for him again.

Alternately, since merely leaving the physical Keyblade behind shouldn't have cost him his ability to summon it (just as we've seen Sora being able to summon Master's Defender and his original from thin air, though not at the same time), he can simply call on Way To the Dawn again if he chooses.

Ashley Tisdale would voice the Stella-like girl from Verum Rex who has connections to Yozora, while Emily Osment joins the Kingdom Hearts family for the first time voicing Strelitzia.
For the former, it's pretty obvious, allowing at least two of its stars to do a reunion of sorts (Provided Yozora shows up in the game). For the latter, it's to allow both Osments to be in the same franchise (and also the same scenes) for the first time.

Kingdom Hearts will be revealed to be made of half Light and half Darkness.
Mickey said that the world is made of light and darkness. That can't have one without the other, So the heart of all worlds will also be made of both light and darkness.

Terra-Xehanort's portrait will return.
There will be a scene in Radiant Garden showing Sora's friends trying to get him back and in the background will be Terra-Xehanort's portrait but it will have been vandalised.

Yozora will be a co-protagonist of the game.
Kingdom Hearts IV will have a dual-protagonists mechanic (similar to DDD), with the player constantly switching between Sora and Yozora's point of view.

Sora will be a Decoy Protagonist in this game.
While Sora will be playable in the prologue, eventually the story will switch back into the main universe with another character taking over for the rest of the story. Either Riku due to him finding a way to reach Sora and explain the new mechanics or Kairi to justify the Bag of Spilling and leveling up so she can finally reach to the level of everyone else storyline wise.

The person who found Donald and Goofy in the cave was Hades
While the two were wandering through the cave, a blue flame appeared behind them. When he approaches them, the flame becomes orange, which are the two colors that Hades uses for his flames.

Chris Diamantopoulos might voice Mickey in some capacity
In recent years, Diamantopoulos' portrayal of Mickey Mouse has been utilized much more outside of the television series, from Wonderful World of Animation to Once Upon a Studio. It wouldn't be surprising at this rate if Diamantopoulos ends up involved in Kingdom Hearts IV alongside/instead of Bret Iwan.

The connection between Lauriam and Strelitzia will be important.
Lauriam and Strelitzia's connection will be used to connect Quadratum to the realm of light.

Possible New Princesses of Heart the game could introduce
With Rapunzel, Anna, Elsa, and Kairi filling four of the slots, there are three left to be revealed. The candidates are as follows:

The game will be Darker and Edgier and receive a T rating instead of E10+.
It'll be a light T, but it's definitely possible. Disney is still very child-friendly, but with the amount of franchises the company has acquired that are PG-13 and popular with older kids (like the MCU and Star Wars, as well as several Fox shows and movies), they can easily go in a slightly more dark direction without sacrificing the accessibility and identity of the series in the slightest.

The soundtrack will feature music by Alan Menken and Nobuo Uematsu.
Let's face it, having Yoko Shimomura doing a three-way collab between Disney and Square's most renowned composers would be a dream come true.

Sora is Ava's reincarnation
To ensure that the scapegoat a. k. a. Xehanort would be foiled at the last second, the Master of Masters ensured that one his apprentices was there on each side to steer everything towards the desired outcome: Luxu on the side of Darkness as Xigbar and Ava on the side of Light as Sora. Furthemore, Ava wasn't initialy selected as a Foreteller in the original timeline, rather the Master of Masters specifically recruited her after identifiying her as Sora's past life in a second timeline. Writing the Book of Prophecies was actually done to divert the attention of Darkness (and the audience) from the events right before the book was written. Sora's presence in Quadratum - which is treated as a purgatory of sorts - is specifically orchestrated to reawaken her personality. Arguments:
  • In one early artwork Sora, has a fox on his lap. The only other original generation character in the franchise so far to have any association with foxes is Ava.
  • Throught the Dark Seekers saga, Xigbar/Luxu was suspiciously fixated on Sora:
    • The earliest signs appeared all the way in II:
      • He goes out of his way to personally meet Sora, separately from the other members of Org XIII, for no particular stated reason. Perhaps seeing one of his comrades for the first time after literal centuries made him unable to resist trying to communicate with them, even if they still don't remember their past life?
      • It is agreed that him saving Sora in The World That Never Was from the Heartless army is his earliest sign of not actually following Xehanort's plans. However, of all the ways he could demonstrate disobedience, why showing it by saving Sora of all people? Unless, of course, Sora has some other value. At first glance, it may be him simply acting according to the Master's prophecies, until you realize that the only thing he was told was his and his fellow apprentices's roles, with him being denied a Tome of Prophecy specifically to avoid temporal paradoxes. However, if Sora is Ava's reincarnation and is supposed to live long enough to fight Master Xehanort's True Organization XIII, it makes sense to display such brazen rebellion, even if only for a moment - Luxu's goal is to be reunited with his comrades, Xehanort's plans were only a hassle he had to put up with until his role ended.
    • In Dream Drop Distance, he seems to be the member of the True Organization XIII that was the most bitter about Sora not becoming a vessel. Given the abundance of back-ups who were benched for the role of the 13th vessel, it is bizarre even if he was getting impatient. However, if Sora were his comrade's reincarnation, perhaps he actually intended to use Xehanort's possession technique to vanquish or erode Sora's ego and accelerate Ava's reawakening ahead of schedule.
    • In III, he tells Sora about a reward that awaits him at the end of his journey. When Luxu is later asked by his peers about Ava's whereabouts, he cryptically answers that Ava finished her given mission, while proudly smiling at the sky. Neither Ava's role nor Sora's reward is explicitily explained, leaving the possibility that 'Ava's mission' and 'Sora's reward' are one and the same. For reference, in the Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Secret ending, there is a whole montage of characters symbolically looking at the sky (Sora's name means sky in Japanese) as they call out for Sora. In other words, Luxu looking at the sky while talking about Ava could be a sneaky Call-Back to this scene. (Basically, the reward from Luxu's perspective is regaining the original Ava personality after the role of 'Sora' was completed.)
      • Luxu telling the Foretellers that Ava had a mission and that she finished it, despite of her not being present, implies that her role was only recently finished. Ava is unseen thought the game, and doesn't even show up in the Union Cross and Dark Road games outside of flashbacks. Oddly enough, Ava's mission finishing coveniently coincides with Sora defeating Xehanort and disappearing...
      • In Olympos Colosseum, Luxu, without a hint of irony, utters "May your heart be your guiding key". This was done when (he thought that) he was alone, with Sora still oblivious of the origins of the phrase. If Sora really is Ava, than this Wham Line is actually him covertly rooting for his comrade, so that their eons-long roles can end once and for all.
      • Luxu and Riku Replica are teamed up against Sora and Riku. As with most match-ups in the Boss Bonanza, Riku Replica and Riku obviously connected. However, how exactly is Luxu supposed to be connected to Sora?
    • Even though Luxu was privy to some information about the future, he was only given enough to know about his and his peers's (The Foreteller's) roles. There was no need for him to fixate on Sora, since the epilogue of Dark Road clearly showed that he had no clue who was the scapegoat; he practically latched on Xehanort mostly being lead by Gut Feeling and was still bracing himself for a potential failure. For all intents and purposes, he had no way of knowing that Sora would end up being the one who takes out Xehanort without being given too much information about the future. The Master of Masters never once mentions that some "dull, unordinary boy" would defeat the scapegoat, instead only talking about the Foretellers' roles. Unless the Master of Masters informed him that the one who slays the scapegoat will end up being Ava's reincarnation. That is to say, finding Xehanort (the scapegoat) meant that Luxu also would reach the era when Ava is reincarnated.
    • The Keyblade War in the Age of Fairy Tales formally began when Ava clashed with Luxu, the original wielder of No Name. The Keyblade War of the Dark Seekers Saga ended when Sora clashed with Master Xehanort, the then-current wielder of No Name. Sora doesn't wield Ava's keyblade, but is he truly unrelated to Ava? Would Nomura truly miss out on the opportunity for a Book Ends on such a scale?

Of course, if this turns out to be true, all it does is opening another can of worms: HOW did she die in the first place before being reincarnated?
Surely, the Master wouldn't... Right?

On a slightly less grimm note, how would Gula react to Ava being reincarnated as a male?
Single-Target Sexuality? Incompatible Orientation?

All of the worlds Sora can access in this game are either from live action Disney films or from other Square Enix games taking place in Shibuya
  • The Herbie films might get referenced either as a full on world (with Horace the Hate Bug as a boss) or may simply have Herbie as a summon.
  • Considering that Disney own The Muppets, there would be nothing stopping them from adding a Muppets based world, or adding Kermit as a helpful NPC or a summon.
  • G-Force: While the film itself wasn't special, it'd be novel to see Sora as a guinea pig at least. And it's not as if Sora is a stranger to being transformed into a non-human form in some worlds. Also, Speckles's robot from the end of the film could make for a half decent boss fight, though Leonard Saber could also serve as this world's boss.
  • Alice in Wonderland (2010) and it's sequel, if only because it'd allow for a new twist on an old idea. Though the same thing could apply to any of the Disney remakes if they were chosen to be in the game.
  • Maleficent: If only for Sora's shock at realizing that there is a version of Maleficent who isn't evil, and could even be a party member. It could incorporate the events of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil as well.
  • A Star Wars related world such as the Death Star or something related to the Sequel Trilogy. For the Death Star, it could have Darth Vader as a boss, then a fight against Emperor Palpatine as a newly risen Heartless after Vader throws Palpatine to his death.
  • TRON: Space Paranoids could make a return appearance, giving Sora a source of familiarity in this new world. That is unless, it takes cues from other media related to Tron, such as it's sequel TRON: Legacy.
  • The World Ends with You: Characters from that game return due to that game taking place in Shibuya, and because they also appeared in Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance]. Sho Minamimoto would probably be the stage boss of this world.
  • The Bouncer: The cast of that game serve as a group similar to that of the Hollow Bastion Restoration Commitee, with that game's Big Bad (Dauragon C. Mikado) either being a world boss or serving as a Superboss similar to Sephiroth. Jet Black Sion could also be an Optional Boss or the game acknowledges that Sion's design is rather similar to Sora's.
  • The Marvel Cinematic Universe: A world based on the MCU will either adapt The Avengers, or take place in a Broad Strokes version of it (most likely another universe in the MCU multiverse, which could lead to Sora meeting Uatu) to tell an original story. Sora will also gain the ability to use the Hulk as a summon.

All of the worlds will be other Square-Enix games
Nomura did say the series was taking a new direction, and "Quadratum" means "Square". Overcompensating for the lack of Final Fantasy in 3?

Rinoa was confirmed to exist in this universe when Squall/Leon received a letter from her during the end credits of II.

We will learn the Master of Masters' name, and it will be Super or Superb
.Looking at the names of his apprentices from the mobile titles, they all follow the pattern of "first two syllables of a Latin word for one of the Seven Deadly Sins". The only one missing is Pride, which is Superbia - an apt name for someone like that, though it will sound extremely silly in English.
