Forces of Evil note

    open/close all folders

The Evil Spirits were a succession of evil forces who threatened the Earth only to be opposed by the Goseigers. Though all three have different origins and background, the groups use the Demon Bug Soldiers Bibi and Bibi Bugs in their arsenal, and Buredoran is a member of each group. That last part is NOT a coincidence.
    In General
  • Fantasy Kitchen Sink: Alien Invaders, Cryptids, Killer Robots and Satan himself fighting against Angels.
  • Land, Sea, Sky: Their bases invoke this trope in a dark mirror of the Goseigers' own theme. The Warstar have their base in Earth's orbit, the Yuumajuu are based underground, while the Matrintis have an Underwater Base.
  • Mooks: The Demon Bug Soldiers Bībi, which Buredoran provides to all three groups.
  • Make My Monster Grow: They all use Buredoran’s Bībi Bugs, although Metal Alice has to modify them into Bībi Nails for them to work on the Matrintis.
  • Revenge: The spirits of Mons Drake, Makuin, Kinggon, and Robogog appear to Brajira to call him out for using and betraying him for his own ends, only for the latter to cast them out and spirits them away before they could succeed in taking revenge on him.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: All of them are named after Science Fiction Films.
  • Sorting Algorithm of Evil: Zig-zagged. While the power level of the villains gradually goes up, the scale of the threat they pose goes down and stagnates. We go from aliens who have conquered several planets to cryptids and Killer Robots who have yet to conquer one planet. Of course, it goes back up in the end with the Final Boss being the third version of Satan in Super Sentai.
  • Unwitting Pawn: All of them were simply being used by Brajira/Buredoran.

Universal Annihilation Army Warstar (Epics 1-16)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/warstar.jpg
The first set of antagonists in the story, they are a group of insect-themed alien invaders that travel to various worlds to strip the planets of their natural resources. They are responsible for destroying Heaven’s Tower so that the Gosei Angels don’t interfere.
    In General
  • Aliens Are Bastards: They’re a group of Insectoid Aliens who conquer and ravage planets across the universe.
  • Alien Invaders: Out to conquer Earth.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: All of their members are giant humanoid insects.
  • Galactic Conqueror: They’ve already invaded numerous planets before coming to Earth.
  • Insectoid Aliens: Each is based on a species of insect.
  • The Remnant: After the factions’ defeat, the remnants of the forces show up in Tensou Sentai Goseiger: Epic On The Movie to attack Earth one more time.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: They’re named after Star Wars. Their ship, the Universal Mothership Indevader, is named after Independence Day and The Invaders (1967). Their members are named after movies with aliens.
  • Unwitting Pawn: This organisation is the most unwitting. They never found out about Buredoran's treachery because the Goseigers basically did his job for him in ending them without even realizing it. Their leader, Mons Drake, only found out after his death, yet his spirit is powerless to take revenge on him alongside the others.
Great King Mons Drake of the Planet

Great King Mons Drake of the Planet | Voice actor: Shōzō Iizuka

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/monsdrake.jpg
A Monsian alien armed with the Drake Tomahawk and the leader of Warstar.
  • Arc Villain: He’s the leader of the Warstar and the main antagonist for the first quarter of the show. Even after his exit, his actions, including sending Dereputa to destroy the Heaven’s Tower, still leave a mark on the story’s setting.
  • Benevolent Boss: Other than blasting Buredoran twice in Epic 13, he seems to be a decent boss to his forces and was genuinely saddened by Dereputa’s (supposed) death, as well as Targate's death. This is in contrast to the Matrintis’ Bad Boss Robogog.
  • Colony Drop: Attempts this twice, first by trying to get the moon to collide with the Earth using his Gravity Fall technique (which was used on some of his previous planetary targets)and later by attempting to crash the Indevader into the Earth to incinerate all life on it.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: Gets defeated about a quarter of the way through and is soon replaced by the Yūmajū.
  • It's Personal: As the Goseigers continue to fight back, he starts to get more serious, especially when Dereputa and Targate meet their ends or so he thought about the former.
  • Killed Off for Real: In Epic 15, where the Hyper Headder Strike blasts him to the Indevader, leading to Mons Drake being consumed by the flames of the spaceship right before they explode.
  • Moth Menace: Mons Drake is based on an Atlas moth.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: He’s named after Star Trek (2009).
    Dereputa of the Meteor

Dereputa of the Meteor | Voice actor: Rikiya Koyama

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dereputa.jpg
A Zutinmanian combat commander of Warstar and one of Great King Mons Drake's top commanders, following a warrior's code. He's the one personally responsibly for destroying Heaven's Tower and stranding the Gosei Angels on Earth.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Two of them.
  • The Dragon: To Mons Drake, being his top commander.
  • Dragon Their Feet: He outlasts the rest of the Warstar after seemingly being killed and returns to finish things in a Last Villain Stand.
  • Kick the Dog:
    • In Epic 12, he taunts Alata and the others for failing to stop him from destroying the tower.
    • In Epic 16, he shows no care for his boss's death and hurts the the other Goseigers just to draw out Alata (and unleashed a meteor shower).
  • Killed Off for Real: Dereputa finally got put down after a fateful slash between him and Alata towards the end of Epic 16.
  • Meaningful Name: He’s named after the Predator, and he shows that he has a lot in common with his namesake.
  • Not Quite Dead: Survives his initial defeat and later returns to settle things with Gosei Red.
  • The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: It appeared a rivalry was being set up between him and Alata, due to him destroying the only way home and Alata failing to stop him, and it ends with the two of them settling things in Epic 16.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: His name comes from Predator.
  • Slaying Mantis: Dereputa is based on a mantis.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Mons Drake felt saddened with his supposed death and spent his last 3 Epics alive trying to avenge him. Come Epic 16, Dereputa revealed that he's out to take down the Goseigers while being uspet with himself for letting himself being in Warstar hold him back, even scoffing off the notion that he wanted vengeance for Mons Drake.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: He unintentionally exposed the location of the Erurei Box with his meteor shower, which allows Brajira to unseal the Yuumajuu.
    Gyoten’o of the Supernova

Gyōten’ō of the Supernova | Voice actor: Hidekatsu Shibata

One of the last members of Warstar, a Doditake Alien and claims himself as the most powerful commander and member of Warstar, seeking to use an alien artifact called the Horn of Ragnarok to destroy the Earth.
    Deinbaruto of the Morning Star
One of the last members of Warstar, a Desapoda Alien and Gyōten’ō's right hand man, helping him find the Horn of Ragnarok to destroy the Earth.

Deinbaruto of the Morning Star | Voice actor: Bin Shimada

    Universal Insect Monsters

Mizogu of the Clump

A Brasca Alien who was sent down by Mons Drake to destroy the Earth and deal with the dissident Gosei Angels by using his ball-creating ability.

Zaruwakku of the UFO

A Gubydal Alien who comes to Earth believing that he can capture humans in order to use them as part of an exotic animal trading scheme in space as well as to deal with the Goseiger for Warstar.

Yuzeikusu of the Ice & Snow

A Garyusu Alien sent down by Mons Drake to freeze Earth.
  • An Ice Person: He can freeze large areas with the two snowflake-shaped wings on his back.
  • Flies Equals Evil: Yūzeikusu is based on a non-biting midge.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: He’s named after The Thing (1982), Yūsei kara no Buttai Ekkusu or Object X From Outer Space in Japanese. His ice attacks refer to all adaptations of the original John W. Campbell novella "Who Goes There?", where the alien was frozen in the Antarctic (Arctic in the 1951 film) and the humans must stop it from leaving or else it threatens all of Earth.

Mazuarta of the Music

A Teckric Alien who considers himself as the universe's best music artist (and it didn't help Mons Drake himself liked it) though the sound he produces is painful to human ears, and more so to Gosei Angels of the Skick Tribe.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Mazuarta is based on a cricket.
  • Foreshadowing: He is the first monster whose actions inadvertently foreshadow Buredoran's true identity, as his music hurts the Skick Tribe Goseigers way more than anyone else and Buredoran just happened to personally help him out as his manager at the same time.
  • Musical Assassin: He plays music that is painful to hear, especially for members of the Skick Tribe.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: He’s named after Mars Attacks!. Both his attacks and downfall refer to the weakness of the Martians in this film: the song "Indian Love Call" as performed by Slim Whitman.

Ucyuseruzo of Influenza

A Bugntes Alien sent down to spread the Genius Flu to humanity, which turns kids into Bībi Soldiers.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Uchuseruzo; is based on a stinkbug.
  • Plague Master: He spreads the Genius Flu to humanity, which turns them into Bibi Soldiers.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: He’s named after The War of the Worlds, Uchū Sensō or Space War in Japanese. The weakness of the Martians in the movies and even original novel of this work is the common cold, reflecting Ucyuseruzo's virus scheme.
  • The Virus: He sneezes a virus that turns children first into geniuses, then into Bibi Soldiers.

Hidou of the Swift Runner

A Ylabungora Alien who possesses incredible speed, sent to deal with the Goseigers.
  • Dreadful Dragonfly: Hidou is based on a dragonfly.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: He’s named after The Hidden. His power stems from the aliens in said movie having an obsession with "thrill killing", with the initial victim of them partaking on a high-speed car chase against the police before the human host is killed.
  • Super-Speed: His main power.

Abauta of the Research

A Zuteramedorop Alien brought to Earth by Mons Drake to study it and find the proper information to deal both with the planet and with the Gosei Angels protecting it.
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: He can analyze information to determine the best method to accomplish a goal.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Abauta is based on a dobsonfly.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: He’s named after Avatar. His methods refer to both sides of the human expedition to planet Pandora: the researchers who wish to study the planet and the military who wish to destroy the life for mineral resources.

Fandaho; of Nonsense

A Totsneho Alien who went Earth on his own, hoping to make a good impression on Great King Mons Drake by causing chaos using his disruption of electrical currents.

Irian of the Queen Bee

A Bswa Alien who goes to Earth to make all the men of the planet her own, using her venom to paralyze them and to ultimately make her furniture for living with.
  • Poisonous Person: She can spit poison that allows her to control people.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: She's named after Alien. The entire franchise is seen as an inversion of typical tropes of male and female, with Irian's behavior and action similar to the aggressive female Xenomorph alien and Eri and Moune's position similar to main heroine Ripley.
  • The Smurfette Principle: The only female member of the Warstar.
  • Whip of Dominance: She's a whip-wielding villainess with a haughty, sadistic, and domineering personality that has a penchant for enslaving men and who attacks the rangers with energy whips.
  • Wicked Wasps: Irian is based on a wasp.

Kurasuniigo of 5000 °C

A Luview Alien with heat powers who attacked the Earth before Dereputa destroyed the Heaven Tower. Responsible for the death of Magis, Hyde's brother.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Kurasunīgo is based on a weevil.
  • Hero Killer: He killed Gosei Green before the series began.
  • Playing with Fire: He can release large amounts of heat from his armor.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: He’s named after Solar Crisis, Kuraishisu Nisengojū or Crisis 2050 in Japanese. Kurasuniigo's ability to destroy the Earth by warming the oceans is similar to the plot of the movie involving the Earth being under threat by a solar flare.

Yokubabanger of the Electric Shock

A Daicaci Alien sent to absorb the electricity of Earth to use it for destruction.

Powereddark of the Mutation

A Hognlo Alien brought forth by Brajira in hopes of impressing Mons Drake after the death of Dereputa. Can eat Power Seeds to copy and counter Gosei Powers.

Targate of the Satellite

A Thailago Alien and high ranking solider with teleportation powers, sent to replace Dreputa as Mons Drake's right hand.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Targate is based on a Goliath beetle.
  • The Dragon: He and Mons Drake try to replace Dereputa as this, but fails before he could.
  • Elite Mook: He is likely a higher rank than most other Universal Insect Monsters, given that he arrives in a personal spaceship, has the silver chestplate, and is picked as a potential successor to Dreputa. Also when Mons Drake is ready to attack Earth one last time, he laments about his death as well as Dereputa's.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: He’s named after Stargate. His power is similar to the eponymous portal that led to another place in the universe.
  • Weaponized Teleportation: He can create portals that send objects into another dimension

Earth Condemnation Group Yuumajuu; (Epics 17-32)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yuumajuu.jpg
The second set of antagonists in the story, they are a group of demonic cryptids sealed away in the Erurei Box with the intent of destroying Earth through pollution, to create a paradise for themselves, released when Dereputa’s meteor shower during his final battle exposed it, and Buredoran undid its seal.
    In General
  • Ancient Evil: They menaced the world long ago, but were sealed away by the Gosei Angels.
  • Bad Boss: Though to their credit, it is Buredoran of the Chupacapura who is on the recieving end of it, especially after he goes behind their back to get the Abare Headder.
  • Benevolent Boss: Both Makuin and Kinggon are this to the Minor Yuumajuu, Though they have no problem using one as a test subject for their plan with the Eurei Box.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Yuumajuu; means “Spectral Demon Beasts.”
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: They start out sealed in the Erurei Box, only to be set free by Buredoran.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: They’re named after Rise of the Gargoyles, Yūma Nisenjū or U.M.A. 2010 in Japanesenote . The Erurei Box is named after Hellraiser. Their members are named after monster movies.
  • Theme Naming: Their names each contain a kanji related to their abilities.
  • Unwitting Pawn: They were at first, as Makuin and Kinggon initially fell for his plot to break their friendship, but they grew wiser later on and sucessfully out gambit him. Though, they technically still are, as Brajira would ultimately get the last laugh by waiting for them to die, then continuing his plans.
  • Villainous Friendship: The two main non-Buredoran members aside, each have an old friend of theirs to help them out in a scheme of theirs.
    Makuin of the Blob

Makuin of the Blob | Voice actor: Chafurin

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/makuin.jpg
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Makuin is based on an earthworm.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: He ends up just being an Unwitting Pawn to Brajira, whose true identity is the very Gosei Angel who sealed him in the first place. He does get wise and attempt to Out Gambit him, but all Brajira does is lie low until the Goseigers kill him before immediately resuming his schemes.
  • Disc-Two Final Boss: He lasts for about as many episodes as Mons Drake did and gets killed halfway through, allowing Matrintis to take center stage.
  • Humans Are Bastards: He tells the Goseigers this in a Breaking Speech to them in the middle of a battle. However, Nozumu manages to snap them out of their broken stupor.
  • Magic Staff: He wields the Dorodorod scepter, written with 泥 (Doro), the kanji for mud.
  • Meaningful Name: His namesake is The Blob (1958). Rendered in Japanese, of course. His name contains 膜 (Maku), the kanji for membrane. It also sounds like the surname of Steve McQueen, the lead of said movie.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: He’s named after The Blob (1958), Makkuīn no Zettai no Kiki or McQueen’s Absolute Crisis in Japanese.
  • Silly Walk: A rare live-action example. He just seems to shuffle around whenever his lower half isn’t on-screen, and tends to spin in a circle as he walks around someone else.
  • Villainous Friendship: A Type 1 with his second, Kinggon. They have a hefty amount of respect for one another, and dialogue between the two implies they’ve been life-long friends. They brag about it to Buredoran after they foil his scheme to split them up.
    Kinggon of the Bigfoot

Kinggon of the Bigfoot | Voice actor: Kōsuke Takaguchi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kinggon.jpg
  • Boisterous Bruiser: Described as loud in personality and is able to give a thorough beating whenever he fights the Goseigers.
  • The Brute: The strongman of the Yūmajū.
  • Carry a Big Stick: He wields the Kingbō kanabō, written with 金 (Kin) and 棒 (Bō), the kanji for metal and staff.
  • Dumb Muscle: Hot-headed, boisterous and tends not to thing. Those he is capable of being a planner, as Buredoran found out the hard way.
  • Meaningful Name: Named after King Kong, and like Dereputa, has a lot of similarities, though appearance-wise. His name contains 筋 (Kin), the kanji for muscle.
  • Rule of Three: He will say a word three times in a row for emphasis. Emphasis! Emphasis!
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: He’s named after King Kong.
  • Spiders Are Scary: Kinggon is based on a tarantula.
  • Villainous Friendship: A Type 1 with his superior, Makuin. They have a hefty amount of respect for one another, and their dialogue implies that they’ve been life-long friends. They brag about it to Buredoran after they foil his scheme to split them up. After Makuin's demise at the hands of the Super Goseigers, Kinggon felt saddened by his death and once he gets destroyed by Gosei Ultimate, his final words were that he'll be with Makuin in death.
    Minor Yuumajuu

Tomarezu of the Tsuchinoko

Zeibu of the Mummy

Giemurou of the Kappa

Pesaranza of the Kesaran-Pasaran

Waraikozou of the Gremlin

Uobouzu of the Nessie

Zaigo of the Skyfish

  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Zaigo is based on a stick insect.
  • Defeat Equals Explosion: His case is a more notable one than the others, as after being defeated by Ground Gosei Great. He gets launched into the air where he explodes into fireworks.
Zaigo: The last fireworks of my life! Fiiinish! (Explodes)

Semattarei of the Brocken Spectre

Sarawareteiru of the Yōsei

Hit of the Tengu

Jogon of the Ningyo

Pikarime of the Shakōki-dogū

Elmgaim of the Baku

Machine Onslaught Empire Matrintis (Epics 33-44)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mantris.jpg
The third set of antagonists in the story, they are a group of robots that hail from the deep sea, built by the evil Emperor of Matrintis, Robogōg, to take over the world and prove the superiority of machines and enslave humanity.
    In General
  • The Empire: They’re an imperialistic army of robots out to conquer the world.
  • Killer Robot: All of them, except for Buredo-RUN and Robogog who are Cyborgs, are robots out to subjugate and rule humanity through fear.
  • Mooks: In addition to the Bībi Soldiers they got from Buredoran, they eventually begin mass-producing their own Elite Mooks with the Zan-KT3s.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: They’re named after The Matrix and Atlantis. Their base, the Machine Fortress Terminel, is named after The Terminator. Their members are named after movies featuring technology.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Yes, even brainwashing Buredoran into one of their minions doesn't get you out of being one for long. And this time, he actively kills both it's main members once he is in a position to do so.
    Robogog of the 10-sai

Robogog of the 10-sai | Voice actor: Jurota Kosugi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/robogog.jpg
  • Arc Villain: With the Yuumajuu out of the way and Buredoran brainwashed to be his minion, Robogog becomes the main threat to Earth soon after his first appearance. At least until Buredo-RUN regains his memories.
  • Asshole Victim: It’s hard to feel sorry for Robogog when Brajira pulls an Eviler than Thou on him given just how much of a Bad Boss and utter bastard he was.
  • Bad Boss: While the other villains certainly weren’t opposed to hurting their own minions ( though it's usually Buredoran on the recieving end of), Robogog takes it to a whole new level. If any of his Matroids fail him in even the smallest degree, he flies into a blind rage, stomping them, electrocuting them, and calling them “low-spec trash.” If he doesn’t decide to kill them right then and there, he’ll attach a bomb to their body and threaten to blow them up if they fail him again. Justified since Robogog believes that fear is the most efficient way to rule others and he will not make ANY exceptions.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Is this in the end, despite his bluster, ego and threat even he is a mere insect next to Buredoran/Brajira who eventually disposes of his remains after Metal Alice helps him regain his memories.
  • Disc-Three Final Boss: After being reduced to a head by the Goseigers, Buredo-RUN appears and finishes him off.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: In the past, his reaction to his people shunning him for his experiments was to leave them all to die in a natural disaster.
  • Emperor Scientist: He made his empire from scratch by building the Matroids to serve him.
  • Evil Is Not a Toy: He learned the hard way that resurrecting Satan and trying to make him his minion wasn't a good idea.
  • Genius Bruiser: In addition to being a genius in robotics, Robogog is also a powerful fighter and occasionally goes into battle himself to gather data.
  • Giant Enemy Crab: Robogog is based on a shrimp.
  • Hate Sink: Robogog takes the cake as the most detestable, sociopathic, and overly petty of the main antagonists in Goseiger, second only to Brajira, and yet, even the latter is not as truly hated as much because he is at best a delusional and grandiose Knight Templar who is very good at chess scheming, is Faux Affably Evil, and doesn't take the time to be openly cruel to those around him until their usefulness is over, being fixated on what he believes is his mission. Robogog is only meant to be as despicable as possible so that you could root for Brajira for once.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Due to his harsh treatment of Metal Alice, she was willing to go behind his back and restore Buredo-RUN’s memories, allowing him to be a Spanner in the Works with his plans and ultimately destroy him.
  • Hypocrite: He looks down on humans, believing they can be easily dominated by fear, yet he allows his own fear to push him into making his biggest mistake. While in the midst of betraying him, Buredo-RUN points this out, noting that it makes him not so different from the humans he despises.
  • Insane Troll Logic: When Metal Alice brought Buredo-RUN back because his conversion was unstable, he punished Metal Alice with his Punishment Bomb for not staying to finish off the Goseigers, claiming that retreating for repairs was an irrational decision.
  • Irony: As Buredo-RUN pointed out, Robogog wanted to rule humans through fear, yet he himself was subjected to fear out of knowing his true nature.
  • Karmic Death: His abuse of Metal Alice comes back to bite him when an amnesia-recovered Buredo-RUN told him that he got his memories back from Metal Alice, telling her to do so with his primal instinct. All while Robogog was told of this when he was reduced to a talking head.
  • Killed Off for Real: In Epic 44 in which Buredo-RUN picks up his head, tosses him away when he is going to reveal his true nature, and then launches missiles from his body to destroy him.
  • Light Is Not Good: His color scheme is almost entirely a very light grey, bordering on white, and he’s also the most vile antagonist in the show, next to Buredoran.
  • Never My Fault: He always pins the failure of his plans on the Matroids that carry them out. He conveniently ignores the fact that, since he personally builds all of his Matroids, faulty construction might be a factor…
  • Punny Name: His title Tensai, which can mean genius or disaster, is written as “10-sai” to highlight his mastery over 10 special skills containing the syllable “sai.”
  • Redemption Rejection: When Alata asks him to stop and offers him a chance at peace, Robogōg opts for Taking You with Me instead.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: He’s named after RoboCop (1987).
  • The Sociopath: Robogog acts extremely abusive towards Metal Alice, only cares about himself and his goals, tries to rule the world through making others fear him, and is incapable of showing genuine emotion or empathy towards others.
  • Taking You with Me: Tries to destroy himself, the Goseigers and a tenth of the planet when they remind him of his humanity.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: After he resurrected Buredoran, all of his plans were stymied.
  • Villain Has a Point: As cruel as he may be, his reasons for removing Brajira's memories were Justified given his Chronic Backstabbing Disorder status. He's ultimately proven right when Brajira kills Metal Alice after helping him regain his memories, something not even Robogog himself (given how much of a Bad Boss he was to her) went as far to do.
  • Was Once a Man: He was originally a human scientist before transferring his mind into a robot body.
    Metal Alice of the Agent

Metal Alice of the Agent | Voice actress: Marina Inoue

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/metalalice.jpg
  • Alas, Poor Villain: Has been subjected to being electrocuted by Robogog numerous instances and when Buredo-RUN/Brajira killed her even after she helped restore his memories and all but outright put him on the top of the Matrintis' hierarchy out of love, the Goseigers felt bad for her and were shocked by Brajira's ungratefulness.
  • Alice Allusion: While the Matrintis are mostly themed after films involving machines, and her name is mainly a Shout-Out to Metropolis, it’s also likely a subtle allusion to Alice in Wonderland given her naive view programmed into her by Robogog.
  • Animal Motifs: Metal Alice is based on a basket star.
  • The Dragon: To Robogog, on account of being his assistant and the commander of his Matroid army. Later on she becomes this to Buredo-RUN/Brajira, but her tenure ends as soon as she is mortally wounded and Brajira sees no more use for her in his plans.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Her situation with Ain-I in gathering friendship data ends with her being flustered with any compassion aimed at her from Buredo-RUN. Eventually she does begin to comprehend it to a degree, enough that she sides with Buredo-RUN when the latter starts to turn against Robogog and even helps him overthrow her boss.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: As sympathetic as she is, she fails to acknowledge Buredo-RUN/Brajira's status as a Manipulative Bastard, which ultimately leads to her downfall.
  • Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: The amount of times Robogog used the Punishment Bomb on her prompts Metal Alice to listen to Buredo-RUN when he advises her to restore his memories in order to bid the time for him to take Robogog down.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: She’s named after Metropolis.
  • The Smurfette Principle: She’s the only female member of the Matrintis, and the only major female villain to appear in Goseiger.
  • Subordinate Excuse: Buredo-RUN's "kindness" to her, especially in contrast to Robogog's constant and extreme abuse, ends up causing her to develop feelings for him, in spite of being a machine. Eventually she straight-up secretly turns against Robogog and helps Buredo-RUN regain his memories so they can overthrow their boss. Sadly, Brajira turns out to be a big manipulative sociopath who doesn't return her loyalty and leaves her to die once Robogog is taken down.
  • Torpedo Tits: For some reason Robogog thought to give her a nicely shaped pair of breasts, which are missiles called the G-Cup Buster.

Click here to see his true form (Warning: Spoiler Alert)
  • All Your Powers Combined: Much like Gosei Knight, he can access the powers of all three Gosei Tribes. Unlike Gosei Knight however, he did so by killing his teammates to power himself up.
  • Animal Motifs: As Buredoran of the Comet, he’s based on a treehopper. As Buredoran of the Chupacabra, he’s based on a house centipede. As Buredoran of the Chimatsuri, he’s based on an antlion. As Buredo-RUN of the Cyborg, he’s based on an ammonite.
  • Back from the Dead: Three times, in fact! Or four.
  • Bad Boss:
    • When he led the Gedoushu in the teamup with Shinkenger. On the surface, he is more intelligent than Dokoku and without his constant prones to anger. Beneath all of that, however, he is still Brajira, and he has no qualms letting them all die in order to transfer all the Sanzu River water to poison Gosei World, making him worse of a boss then Dokoku ever was in terms of personality. That being said, Madakodama willingly sides with him regardless.
    • He outright tells the Goseigers that he is merely using his Dark Headders as tools. Not that any of them care, as they are quite happy to become the Nega End wedges.
    • Gosei Knight used to belong to Brajira as his Headder until the latter's betrayal, and he still wants him to aid him in his plan whether he wants to or not, including branwashing him and later trying to kill him when it's broken.
  • Big Bad: Of Tensou Sentai Goseiger Vs Shinkenger Epic On Ginmaku, where he assumes the identity of Buredoran of the Chimatsuri and takes leadership of the Gedoshu. He is also revealed to be this for the entirety of Goseiger, as the other villains were just pawns in his Evil Plan.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: In Tensou Sentai Goseiger Vs Shinkenger Epic On Ginmaku, he takes control of Shinken Red and transforms him into Gedou Shinken Red. In the series, he transforms Gosei Knight into Dark Gosei Knight.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: Prior to The Reveal about him, Master Head tells the Goseigers how the Yūmajū were imprisoned by the most powerful angel in the Gosei World. Next episode, it’s revealed that he was that angel.
  • The Chessmaster: Buredoran spends a good chunk of the series playing the long game, associating with the various villain groups in order to use them to attack the Gosei Angels, all while setting up preparations for his true Evil Plan.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: In spades. He’s worked for, be they the Warstar, Yūmajū, Gedōshū, Matrintis, or in his early days the Gosei Angels.
  • Dark Messiah: As a fallen Gosei Angel, his true plan is to destroy the earth and remake it into his own image as its savior.
  • Demoted to Dragon: In Gokaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199 Hero Great Battle, where he becomes a henchman of the Black Cross King, named Messiah Brajira of the Black Cross, after being revived by him.
  • Enigmatic Minion: He serves as a member of every villainous organization the Goseigers face, yet his true identity and plans are a mystery. He’s eventually revealed to be a fallen Gosei Angel.
  • Eviler than Thou: After getting his memories back, he spectacularly betrays Robogōg by finishing him off. Later on, the spirits of Mons Drake, Makuin, Kinggon, and Robogog show up to take revenge on him when he is about to begin his scheme, only for Brajira to coldly cast them all away.
  • Evil Genius: Serves as this to the Warstar, acting as their tactician and providing them with intel on the Gosei Angels.
  • Fallen Angel: His true nature is a fallen Gosei Angel akin to Satan.
  • Fallen Hero: Used to be one of the most powerful Gosei Angels before he turned evil. Hell, he even has his own Headders!
  • Faux Affably Evil: Acts and sounds calm and soft while also being a treacherous and manipulative backstabber.
  • Foreshadowing: The only thing his Warstar, Yuumajuu, and Matrintis forms share in common are his silver plated lips. They resemble the lips on the Goseigers helmets, hinting at his past as a former Gosei Angel.
  • Genius Bruiser: In addition to being a skilled tactician and manipulator, he’s also an incredibly powerful fighter when he takes to the field.
  • A God Am I: As a Gosei Angel, he became deluded with his duties and desired to become the savior of humanity by creating a world he deems fit. As a result, the other angels refused to help him and he decided it was up to him to take matters into his own hands.
  • Graceful Loser: Zig-zagged when Kinggon and Makuin's ghosts appear before him; he grudgingly admits that he underestimated the strength of their bond, but immediately after points out that he's still alive in spite of everything, and they're dead.
  • Hidden Agenda Villain: He’s there from the very beginning, but his true agenda and nature don’t become apparent until the last 6-7 episodes of the show.
  • Hypocrite:
    • He calls his true goal the Earth Salvation Plan, which sounds both noble and harmless. But trust us, the plan brings anything BUT salvation to the Earth's people. Creating a new Earth in its place doesn't save the life on the planet, just creates new ones (and ones who would bend to his will.)
    • From his point of view, the other Gosei Angels are the real traitors because they failed to protect the Earth from even itself and opposed the solution he proposed to the problem. Considering his track record, he is in truth more guilty of this in usual. He refuses to even acknowledge that his betrayal of his teammates is part of the reason why his plan is so unpopular.
    • He claims himself to be the true hero of the story and the Goseigers being the evil demons for standing in his way, yet doesn't show much if any heroic traits that would make him such. He also sided with actual evil demons in addition to alien invaders and Killer Robots led by a petty cyborg (granted he was only using all of them to achieve his goals, but he isn't at all apologetic of letting them cause humans a lot of pain), which can't even pretend to be good.
  • I Have Many Names: There’s his true name and there are his numerous aliases as Buredoran in conjunction with whatever group he’s masquerading as a part of.
  • Irony: In the Final Battle with the Matrintis, Hyde comments that he’s not their final opponent, Robogōg is. Come the next episode, Hyde is proven wrong.
  • It's All About Me: He pretty much fits this trope perfectly in spite of what he says otherwise. While cleansing the planet of corruption seems noble, in reality he's recreating the world into one that caters to his own whim and in his own image. His betrayal of everyone he's worked with or for further proves how he only wants to satisfy is own ego.
  • In Their Own Image: His end goal is to destroy Earth and remake it fit to his visions with the help of the Dark Headders.
  • Kick the Dog:
    • Splitting up the Villainous Friendship of Makuin and Kinggon was a pretty cruel move, not to mention it backfiring spectacularly.
    • He kills Metal Alice, which even the Goseigers are not too happy about, simply because she has no purpose in his Earth Salvation Plan.
  • Knight Templar: His ultimate goal is to preserve the Earth at the cost of the lifeforms living on it by reshaping it in his own image.
  • Lack of Empathy: He doesn't just want to "save" the Earth (if he truly even intended to). He also wants to be worshipped and recognised as its savior. The feelings and worth of anyone else is of zero importance to him. Case in point, he was all too willing to work with 3 obviously evil forces and objected to none of their schemes. Even then, to him the organisations are just pawns used to achieve a twisted and ultimately self-centered version of the Gosei Angel mission.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Robogog removes his memories after reviving him as a cyborg. Of course, he never deletes the file, so Metal Alice is able to put them right back with a flash-drive, and Buredo-RUN finishes Robogōg not too long after.
  • Light Is Not Good: His final angelic form manages both this and Dark Is Evil, with a black body and white wings with bits of gold and bright blue strewn throughout.
  • The Man in Front of the Man: To the Warstar, Yūmajū and Matrintis all in succession. He offers his services to them, but is only using them all for his own agenda and eventually reveals himself as the true Big Bad once they’re all disposed of.
  • Manipulative Bastard: This was how Buredoran was on all three villain groups. He got all possible knowledge from each group and added them to his already incredible power. After he gains all necessary knowledge from a group, They Have Outlived Their Usefulness. He reveals after the defeat of the third group that he was once the ultimate Gosei Angel named Brajira but was condemned by other Gosei Angels, prompting him to time travel into the future and wipe out the corrupt humans and angels, manipulating all of the groups and, in some cases, the Goseigers themselves to become the only villain left.
  • Meaningful Name: As Buredoran of the Chupacabra, his name contains 武 (Bu), the kanji for warrior.
  • Me's a Crowd: In various movies, he tends to summon clones of himself assuming the forms he previously used.
  • Never My Fault: He acts like the Gosei World under Master Head betrayed HIM for not helping him with his plan despite how, in addition to his plan being way too insane, he murdered his own team before that.
  • Ninja Pirate Robot Zombie: When counting his various disguises, he’s a fallen Gosei Angel disguised as a life form from outer space/demonic cryptid/yōkai/cyborg.
  • Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist: There was no indication of Brajira having any good intentions until he revealed his true self, and even after that, his plan to save the world clearly amounts to remake it in HIS OWN image as it's savior, with absolutely no regrets for the actions he took to get that far.
  • Not Quite Dead: Three times. Four times if you count Tensou Sentai Goseiger Vs Shinkenger Epic On Ginmaku. Five if you count Gokaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199 Hero Great Battle and six if you count his reappearance in Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen.
  • Out-Gambitted:
    • Double subverted. He attempts to seal the Yuumajuu and Goseigers in the Erurei Box, however, Makuin and Kinggon anticipate his deception and swap it out with a fake. Of course, Buredoran is the one who ultimately comes out on top, lying low and returning once the Yumajuu have been destroyed.
    • He pulls another impressive one when he manages to outmaneuver Robogog and trick Metal Alice into giving him back his memories, while having Laser-Guided Amnesia.
  • Outside-Context Problem: To the Shinkengers in the Crossover film. From their perspective, he’s a new Hidden Agenda Villain who showed up and took control of their enemies.
  • Satanic Archetype: He basically is the Sentai equivalent to Satan alongside Great Satan of Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger, being a fallen Gosei Angel who rebelled and cast out, a manipulator who offers his services to people only to use them and inevitably betray them, and his goal is to destroy and recreate the world in his own image.
  • Shadow Archetype: To Gosei Knight, who was his headder in the past. You can see why he started off as a Knight Templar himself. But while Gosei Knight came to appreciate the humans as time went on, Brajira never did and stuck to his delusional ways, and even then Gosei Knight never went to the extremes he did.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: Named after Blade Runner and Brazil, both films where protagonists rebel against corrupt and imperfect systems, fitting for Brajira, or more appropriately, how he is in his own head.
    • After he takes over the Machine Fortress Terminel, he renames it Labyrindel, after Labyrinth.
    • His Negā End technique is named after The Neverending Story.
  • Spell My Name With An S: It is unclear whether his name is meant to be spelled Buredoran or Bladerun. His rebuilt form only reduces the conflict area: it’s either Blade-RUN or Buredo-RUN.
    • This stems from him being named after Blade Runner, which is called ブレードランナー (Burēdo Rannā) in Japan, so Bladerun might be a literal translation.
    • His true form could also be called Brazila, after the movie it’s named after.
    • MFC subs spells his true form Brajil, citing the Terry Gilliam movie Brazil as his namesake.
  • The Sociopath: He only cares about himself, manipulating and betraying both sides of the conflict, and doesn’t care about the casualties of his actions as long as he gets what he wants. He has such a sense of self that he acts like he’s the one completely in the right. His goal of destroying the Earth to create a new one is just for his own benefit, regardless of what excuses and good intentions he claims to have.
  • The Starscream: He plots to betray every villain group he’s affiliated with, including his own associates.
  • The Unfettered: He will do whatever he wants to destroy and recreate the Earth no matter who he has to betray or hurt to do so.
  • Taking You with Me: His last act upon his death, is to use his energy to speed up the earth destroying process, knowing that he can't recreate it if he's dead, out of spite and to make sure nobody can have it but him. The Tensou Global Technique puts a stop to that.
  • Team Killer: In the past Brajira devoured his teammates to obtain their powers to seal the Yuumajuu. He’s the one who kills both main members of the Matrintis, and would have likely eventually done so to the Warstar and the Yuumajuu if the Goseigers hadn’t gotten to them first.
  • Thanatos Gambit: The deaths of his minions allow his Earth Salvation Plan to enter its final stages.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: After Metal Alice helps him regain his memories and enables him to get rid of Robogog, he rewards her by destroying her for good.
  • Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: Goseiger is overall lighter in tone than Shinkenger. However, we still have a sociopathic Knight Templar as our overarching villain for this season.
  • Villain Teleportation: He can teleport in all his forms.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Shows this off to the Goseigers when he finally reveals his true form, cycling through his three previous in order of appearance. He even uses a Camoumirage technique!
  • We Can Rebuild Him: After his second defeat (third, if you count the Goseiger vs. Shinkenger team up movie), Robogōg revives him as Buredo-RUN of the Cyborg.
  • Would Hurt a Child: He attacks Nozomu for attempting to warn the Goseigers about defeating Bari-Boru-Dara.
  • Xanatos Gambit: His plans sometimes backfire, but you can bet he’ll always have a backup plan and contingency in place. Case in point, what does Brajira do when the current group he’s using realizes his machinations and ousts him? Why, he waits for the Goseigers to take them out, then brings in the villain group from the previous Sentai to deal with the Goseigers.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: What he intends to do to all 3 organisations once he gets everything he wants from them. He pulls it directly on Metal Alice as well.
