openGainaxing in Fanfiction
If a characters breasts are noted as being ridiculously bouncy with every movement can it still be filed under Gainaxing even though it's in fanfiction and Gainaxing is an animation trope? Or is there a better trope to file it under?

openWhich Tropes Are These? Web Original
I have questions about tropes in The JWL. I think these might be examples of Morton's Fork or The Chessmaster or Batman Gambit but I'm really not sure.
At JWL SuperBrawl I, the main event was the 22-woman Royal Rumble for the JWL Women's Title. Jacqueline came in at #8 and, to everyone's surprise, singlehandedly eliminated Chyna. Instead of staying in the match, Jackie eliminated herself and she and Chyna fought to the back. The following night, on Episode 22, Jackie challenged Chyna to a match at JWL WrestleMania I. Jackie won a Squash Match on Episode 23. After winning a Squash on Episode 24, Jackie called out Chyna to accept her challenge, and here is where the tropes I am asking about come into play.
CHYNA: "Look Jackie, you're the only one who would benefit from this match. I beat you, big deal, I beat someone much smaller than me. You beat me, I end up looking weak because I lost to someone smaller. I have nothing to gain. So give me one good reason why I should face you at WrestleMania."
JACQUELINE: "Because if you don't, I'll tell everyone week after week that you are a coward! That you ain't got the guts to face me. I will torment you and make your life a living hell. In fact, I'm raising the stakes. You versus me at WrestleMania in a Loser-Leaves-the-JWL match!"
Crowd pops at the thought of being rid of Chyna. Chyna is on the spot now and has to respond.
CHYNA: "I admit it would feel really good to kick your ass out of the JWL and prove that I am superior. You're on for the Loser-Leaves-the-JWL match at WrestleMania!"
Along with identifying which tropes these were, should they be listed on the main page or the character sheets? Thank you very much.
Edited by KJTropesopenComplaining example on Avengers: Endgame Headscratchers
Headscratchers.Avengers Endgame has a query, in the folder titled "Is Captain Marvel just a walking deus ex machina?", which reads more like complaining than an actual example of Fridge Logic. It's like whoever added it thinks Headscratchers is still called It Just Bugs Me!. Should it be removed?
openDonald Trump outdated page - add disclaimer
The Creator page for Donald Trump was locked for, I guess, fairly obvious reasons, but for people referred to TV Tropes from elsewhere, it's probably confusing. I propose adding a disclaimer: "On January 20, 2017, Donald Trump became the President of USA. To prevent flame wars about his political actions/views, this page is locked for the indefinite future."
I tried taking this to the discussion, but it only led to another poster derailing the conversation and the whole idea dying. That's why I propose this exact text, as opposed to a vague "disclaimer".
Is such an edit reasonable, and if so, who can make it?
Edited by modrapetkaopenMythology Gag page needed for Detective Pikachu movie
The section under the examples is starting to get a bit long and with a movie like this, it's expected there's going to be a lot of references to the anime and games.
openYMMV vs. "This is based on opinion"
After all this time, I still don't understand the difference between trope pages marked as "put these in the YMMV tab" and ones marked as "This is based on opinion. Please don't list it on a work's trope example list." People seem to use them interchangeably, putting "opinion" tropes in YMMV sections even though it sounds like you aren't supposed to do that. "Opinion" tropes generally don't seem more controversial than their YMMV cousins.
Is there any real difference, or is this just some sort of categorization artifact?
openShould DubNameChange.NonEnglishExamples be indexed on DubNameChange.NonEnglishExamples?
Should DubNameChange.Non English Examples be indexed on DubNameChange.Non English Examples?
Because Dub Name Change doesn't list it like it's a sub-page of that, and is like it's a separate sub-page.
Edited by MaladyopenMadagascar example
I was going to make an edit to Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, but I'm not sure it's a proper example.
- I Always Wanted to Say That: Inverted by Skipper. After Vitaly convinces the other circus animals to [[Spoiler: forgive the Zoosters]], the former has this to say:
Also, just to clarify, Skipper is using "Rooskie" as a synonim for "Russian", and has been doing so ever since he first met Vitaly. And any self-respecting American who remembers the whole "Better dead than Red" debacle in WWII can understand why Skipper would invoke said inversion.
Edited by GofastmikeopenQuestionable Edit Reason Film
Phoenixion deleted an example from the Awesome.Avengers Endgame page with a rather interesting Edit Reason, calling the person who originally added the example "insecured and sexist" and claiming that the person doesn't like female heroes. The Edit Reason for deleting it sounded angry, what with the use of all-caps and accusing another person of being against women.
Edited by mouschilightopenHow do I post in the Forum ?
I don't see any button anywhere to create a post on a forum, like Frequently Asked Question or Wiki Talk. In case this Ask The Tropers do create a post. I'm still going to ask my question.
How do I activate notes that are in spoilers bars, I just keep turning them on-off (the spoilers, not the note).
openTropers/CaptainSkywalker ignoring mod messages on WebVideo.ProJared Web Original
Captain Skywalker has twice added references to the ongoing controversy to the main ProJared page, ignoring both moderator warning and troper consensus that said events do not belong there.

openZero Context Examples in Precarious Woman Executive Miss Black General
Can someone comment out the Zero-Context Examples in Precarious Woman Executive Miss Black General? I'd do it, but I've done it once already before Bufuman undid it.
openNo Title
Do we have a Square Peg Round Trope cleanup thread? Because Tradesnarkā¢ is packed full of "a trademark symbol appears in a non snarky context, but I think it looks dumb so I'm gonna complain about it here" non-examples.

Do we have a page for the Dawn of Souls and other remakes of VideoGame.Final Fantasy I and II?
Franchise.Final Fantasy doesn't list Dawn of Souls anywhere?
And the pages for the games themselves, don't note that the remakes have differences, like adding the Ultima Weapon...
openI Want You to Meet an Old Friend of Mine
I think that I Want You to Meet an Old Friend of Mine is suffering the same problems that JustForFun.Role Association had when it was known as "Hey, It's That Guy!" and "Hey, It's That Voice!". As stated in the Trope Epitaph, those two Trivia examples were "meant to be for actors or voices who were not as recognizable on their own as they were for a specific role they played (e.g. "that guy from [show X] who played [well-known character]"); eventually mutated into basically listing other roles the actor did, regardless of how recognizable the role or the actor in question was. Actors having multiple roles is a case of People Sit on Chairs."
And yes, I do agree that I Want You to Meet an Old Friend of Mine is nothing but chairs.
I'm too afraid to start a TRS thread on this at the moment, because it might be declined for lack of evidence. So, if you agree with me, go make a discussion there.
openGeneral headband question
Would hachigane (basically the metal-fronted headbands a lot of people best know from media like Naruto) go in Martial Arts Headband, Badasses Wear Bandanas, or just Cool Hat?
openindex formatting
When indexing works, is it proper form to list sequels in bullets under their parent work in order of release or should they all be listed individually alphabetically without respect to release order? I've been working on American Films which is going to be a huge index with a lot of franchises and I'm unsure.
On the ProJared page, someone changed "is a gaming review channel" to "was a gaming review channel". Other parts of the page were also changed to past tense.
I thought his channel was still going? I thought he still had an active career? I didn't think he stopped making videos.
