This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here

- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Okay, for Characters.Fire Emblem Three Houses Edelgard, how about this?
- A Shared Suffering: The crux of her bond with Lysithea is the fact that they have both suffered through the same traumatic experience in their backstories. Both of them are survivors of horrific experiments to implant them with a second Crest, to the point that Lysithea is probably the character with whom Edelgard's ideology resonates the most.
- Upgrade vs. Prototype Fight: Once you learn the details of Edelgard's backstory, it becomes apparent that one of her potential foes went through a far less refined version of what Edelgard did. Lysithea was forcibly implanted with a second Crest as a trial version for the procedure that ultimately resulted in Edelgard getting the Crest of Flames, making Lysithea the Flawed Prototype to Edelgard's Upgrade, and the two can directly cross blades in five of the seven routes in both Fódlan games. Accordingly, they have unique combat dialogue in Three Houses, with the version seen in Silver Snow and Verdant Wind shedding light on the fact that they have gone through the same experiments.

- Top Gun: Maverick: The climactic Airstrike Impossible, which consists of four F/A-18 Super Hornets maneuvering through a narrow canyon to destroy an underground nuclear weapons lab, honestly doesn't make a whole lot of sense given US military capabilities and is really just an excuse to have Maverick "blow up the Death Star".
- The sanest way to accomplish the mission wouldn't involve the US Navy at all, but rather the Air Force. A B-2 Spirit stealth bomber loaded with a GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator would in all likelihood have been able to destroy the underground site and leave without the enemy ever spotting it. This option was obviated because it wouldn't be a Top Gun film otherwise.
- The escorting destroyers fire an entire salvo of Tomahawks to suppress the enemy airfield. This is overkill: the Tomahawk comes in a cluster munitions version for just such a mission. Also, no explanation is given for why there was no attempt to fire on the SAM sites and make the approach and escape easier.
- The sanest way to accomplish the mission wouldn't involve the US Navy at all, but rather the Air Force. A B-2 Spirit stealth bomber loaded with a GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator
