This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

I took a look at YMMV.Cuties and it doesn't seem like there is intense edit warring yet, so I am declining the lock request. Give the comments (and Wiki Magic) a chance. I don't think the edit to Auto-Erotic Troping is necessary.
Did the Gratuitous Rape edit and also stripped out some Audience Reaction stuff. Also got the Sue stuff on Sonichu.
I don't know when the locked pages editing thing will happen.

Requesting namespace index link and grammar fix to Namespace's last body paragraph:
The Article Count page lists the currently-used namespaces and how many pages are in each. The Namespace Index shows which pages use a particular namespace (enter the namespace after the = sign). Moderators can set some namespace specific functions on Namespace Config; regular tropers can see the settings. What follows is a general breakdown.
Please lock Namespace.Title, as, looking at the recent cuts page, it's been recreated and cut four times.

What does it mean when a new trope page is locked until a certain time?
@Twiddler: This thread is for edit requests on locked pages. That includes requests to have redirects added to Main/ namespace pages but it doesn't make this thread a general redirect request thread.
@windleopard: Either that there is a bug and the page lock is spurious (see FAQ which covers one solution). Or that someone else is editing the page. It's hard to tell because you didn't link the page.
