Weird dreams

Once when I was about 12-13 (I think it was shortly before I started my first day of 7th grade), I had a dream where I was going to school in a log cabin, for some reason.

Things got weirder from there - there were chairs behind us, but we all had to stand up. My best friend at the time and I were both standing next to each other, and someone lit a fire behind us.

They put a sign reading "pretty fire" there. As explained in a Cutaway Gag, the sign that said "hot fire" cost 10 dollars, and the sign that said "pretty fire" cost 30 cents, so it was just the cheaper option.

This past Wednesday, I dreamed that there were a bunch of DVDs in the vacuum cleaner closet at my dad’s house. There was also a handheld video game console that came with a game. All I got to see on the console’s screen was some kind of introduction video, but I also looked at the game description. The game had Drew Pickles claiming to be able to recommend changes in your diet. Also, the back cover had Fat Albert on it, and I think Drew’s description on the back started by asking if you feel like Fat Albert or something like that.

You know what makes perfect sense? To use that closet as a toilet! As I was doing so, I started to realize that it was wrong to defecate so close to my DVDs, but luckily, the cases didn’t look dirty; I could just hear the plop sounds of my poop landing in the toilet water that was apparently in the closet. I think I woke up shortly after this.

Are we human, or are we dancer?

I had a dream last night where the Christmas recital that I'm doing in about a month from now finally happened - however, I was completely unprepared, meaning I basically had to quickly find the lyrics to the song I was singing, and presumably I had to go onstage still reading the lyrics from my phone (thankfully, the dream ended before I actually got to sing).

Performance Anxiety is a hell of a drug. I'm relatively certain that this dream might've come about because I'm going to be having my first rehearsal for this recital tomorrow^note They initially said sometime in mid-October, but things changed a bit, though thankfully, I'm actually going to have some semblance of what the hell I'm doing.

I recall at least two things from my dreams last night:

• I had an incredibly vivid dream wherein I was Prince Sidon and, in a story that felt like a DLC expansion of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, I (along with Tulin, Riju, and Yunobo) was instructed by Zelda to search Hyrule for "strange flowers" growing throughout the kingdom. It turned out that the flowers were honest-to-goodness Wonder Flowers that were naturally causing random and silly things to happen all throughout Hyrule. I distinctly remember at one point I found the Wonder Flower that causes your torso to stretch out to a ridiculous height, and afterward, I just retained the ability to do so at will. It seemed like the Wonder Flowers just unlocked new abilities for me/Sidon and the others for the rest of the adventure.
  Part of me almost wants to see that become a real DLC campaign for TotK, even though it would make absolutely no sense for the setting whatsoever. 😅
• Then I had a completely different dream where my family and I were at Disneyland and went to ride on the Jungle Cruise, but it felt like some half-hearted attempt at mimicking the ride made by a cheaper park. The boats were ridiculously small dinghies, the guide made little to no commentary throughout the ride outside of half-hearted comments like "oh, there's a bunch of monkeys over there", all the waterfalls looked like they had been switched off ("oh no, we're not going to be able to marvel at the backside of water!" I said to my sister), and it felt more we were just aimlessly adrift on a lazy river than going on a quick safari. Yet at the same time the ride also now included drops like on Splash Mountain, and after the second one we went over the boat actually capsized and threw everybody into the water. We all got out, only to find out that the ride had experienced a failure and was about to explode, as indicated by a screen on a wall showing a picture of the entire ride area exploding in a massive fireball, prompting all of us to run for cover behind some huge trees. I ended up waking up before anything happened, though.

Last night I had a dream where there was an animated Donkey Kong Country movie, but it wasn't very good. It was over 2 hours long, and it was painfully slow. The story was meant to be about Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong going to a school for heroes, but it took 50 minutes before the movie got to the school.

Also, there was No Antagonist. King K. Rool and the Kremlings didn't appear at all, which ticked many people off. Instead, the climax involved some sort of earthquake or tsunami or something.

Next, there was another part where I was an orange cat in a Funny Animal school. I think Bluethorn was there as a green lizard. I can't remember what species our teacher was, but she was psychotic. She made each of us wander around the school while being pursued by monsters. I was being chased by creepy dolls and clown puppets.

Eventually, we got back to the classroom, where the teacher acted like nothing had happened. One student, a small bird, was still freaking out, and the teacher somehow killed her right in front of us. Then class was over, and we all left the building completely silent and shocked.

Still hoping for Klonoa to get a new game... or a movie like this

I dreamt I tried to adopt, and house-train, a sheep.

For every low there is a high.

It featured in last night's dream. In universe, they call it "memory liquid". It's dried and comes in sachets. Take one teaspoonful, Just Add Water and hey, presto! Instant voice activated ChatGPT in a mug. Talk to it and short pithy answers will form on the surface of the liquid. Sometimes quite snarky ones.

And when you've had enough, you can drink it. (Just don't add sugar to taste, or it won't work as well.)

Questions abound. Is it actually alive, and will it possess you when you drink it? (Not considered: you might just kill it instead.) Shouldn't that substance be toxic?

I had a Zelda dream where the setting was kind of like Wind Waker in that there was a big ocean, but villages and stuff were floating on the water and people were out in boats frequently enough that you could run into them pretty often. The plot involved Link and Zelda exploring together—their vehicle was kinda like a double-sided speedboat with an old-fashioned steering wheel—to solve the mystery of what had happened to Zelda's parents.

It turns out Zelda's mom had been seduced away from the King of Hyrule by Ganondorf, who killed the king, and the queen realized what had happened and sealed herself and Ganon away together, but the seal was leaking and Ganon was slowly gaining more power. There were sea serpents that looked like big waterfowl that were going around possessing people that you had to stop, and saving enough would get rewards, items, etc. I'm sure there were dungeons but I don't really recall any.

Also Tingle had a minor plot role; he had been imprisoned years ago by Ganondorf and managed to escape, but no one believed him. Unable to find work, he was now a pickpocket, but giving him Rupees to make a living would reward you with a Heart Container and a small but steady supply of Rupees that you could collect every day or so—there was a weekly calendar system, and an Inn had different dancers every day of the week and seeing them all would unlock a quest.

There was something about the Goddess Farore in there too, as well as her Oracle.

I dreamed that my family had gone on vacation but I was asked to stay in my city. And not even in my house (which was fully closed), but on a house where an aunt of mine used to live before moving to another country. Evidently, I had no connection with that house since years ago (*sob*) so I felt like a stranger living in it.The dream repeated several times the same sequence:

I was on the house with a girl that looked like Flora Reinhold, and there was a man that looked like,... well, Don Paolo, who entered the house without consent with the intention to psychologically torture Flora (I will assume they were indeed the real characters); he also brought several cats with him which he trained to attack targeted humans. The cats also had a tendency to both scare Flora and through a lot of things, leaving a mess. Being the person responsible for taking care of the house until my family and/or the current owners of the house returned, I was of course furious about the issue.

Worse yet, Paolo always arrived during late night. So I spent the daylight hours trying to think of a way to get rid of him for good. Like I said, the dream repeated several times his appearance, ordering his cats to scare Flora and break stuff, and me grabbing something to hir him, only for him to dodge every single attack. At one point, I saw in the street a police with several bloodstains, apparently he tried to stop Paolo but failed miserably.

In the final repetition, things were a little different. I brought a plasma BFG to the house and, on the night, I shot a big plasma ball to Paolo (while Flora was behind me), and this time the bastard could not dodge it. However, he was still alive, and then ordered the cats to attack us. Flora and I escaped the house (somewhat embarrasingly, she always held my hand, which for someone my age was fairly uncomfortable). Because it was so late, there was nobody else in the streets, just the two of us and 10 furious cats. She grabbed an ocarina from her jeans' wallet (I assume that ocarina was the Specter's Flute ), and to my surprise she began playing the Elegy of Emptiness. I assume she intended to create a decoy from her own image to aggro the cats with it, but what happened instead was that the cats ran back to the house and began scratching a still-wounded Paolo. No idea why they did this.

We entered back to the house to try to drive Paolo and the cats away, but I then woke up.

I had a dream where THE END from Sonic Frontiers was in my house...thankfully it went up too high and brushed against the ceiling fan and popped. XD

I dreamed about FGO Arthur and Male Ritsuka but I was watching a spicy video of the two...doing the deed. And also said dream gave them the background of the two growning up together in the mountains, making said spicy vid about the two having a Childhood Friend Romance.

Last night, I had a dream about either a movie or video game that involved me (and several others, presumably) rescuing cats and people from a research facility. There was a part that showed some Creative Closing Credits, which essentially consisted of showing what the characters were doing next - one of the only things I remember from that part involved me flying down towards a beach. There was a guy who noticed, and he started asking someone if I was an angel - not because I saved those people and cats, but because I was somehow able to fly.

I also had a dream where I went to an amusement park with my dad, my aunt, and a few of my cousins. It had a lot of knockoff merchandise for sale, notably some version of Inside Out called Chromatic Mary. (Oddly, the knockoff merchandise was still very high-quality, to the point in which it was probably just official merchandise with different labelling for some reason.) There was a part where I accidentally walked out of a store still holding a piece of merchandise, and I ran back in to frantically apologize and put it back. The cashier of the store was cool with it, at least.

My family ended up taking in 3 goats, one which was Valentino from the new Disney movie Wish. They ended up destroying a wall and I was scrambling to get them outside before they destroyed anything else.

I was working for a company that sent mascot performers to entertain kids. They wanted me to have a new costume, so they commissioned a company that made mascot costumes to design a new character. They wound up making a clown elephant named Ava. I wasn't aware that the character was supposed to be female until we got the costume. Also, they sent a note saying that Ava was supposed to be French. So, while wearing the costume, I had to do a falsetto voice while also attempting a French accent. It sounded terrible.

When I first opened the box with the costume, I remember realizing how creepy the costume looked, and I was worried that kids wouldn't like it.

Sometime later, I think I was in some sort of horror scenario? I was in a dark building with some kids, and I think I had to protect them from something while keeping the costume on and staying in-character, even though the costume scared them.

Still hoping for Klonoa to get a new game... or a movie like this

For some reason, Skull Island: Rise of Kong was very prominent in my dreams last night, except it wasn't a video game, it was a theme park ride, with a very long and elaborate cue line, only for the ride itself to be a short hallway you walk through where King Kong appears for like, five seconds, before the "ride" ends and you end up in a food court. The ride apparently had a Horrible entry on this site.

Also it later actually was a video game, but it was also a crossover with a bunch of other games, including a really cursed looking design of Banjo, who spoke in English.

Ever wanted to see the most inexplicably horrifying intro to a game ever?

I had a dream where I was living in a mansion with several friends (which included my dad). There was a point where we supposedly went missing at 1 in the morning and went out looking for each other... and then it turned out that the most logical explanation was that we went to bed.

The weird thing is, how the hell did we know we were missing if we went to bed? (I'm getting Mind Screwed just thinking about it.)

I had a dream that was a parody of the whole "water causes a Potty Emergency" gag you see in cartoons, because in the dream, my mother, grandmother, and I were playing some sort of game where the objective was to talk about water and carry water and the loser was whoever went to the bathroom... only to give up, because none of us even needed to go to the bathroom.

While we were playing the game, Granny started talking about tea, Mum wondered if it would rain, and I started rambling about the chemical properties of water, and the water we were carrying was in sea monkey tanks.

We also ran into some people who were irrationally afraid of water and yelled at us to stop talking about and carrying water, and I tried to reason with them... but for some reason, the thing I blurted out was "Without water, we wouldn't have algae!", so they gave me a funny look.

I dreamed that the 'master of the universe' had 2 parents who were kinda like a primordial force of badness and goodness. The evil one was named Cronus and the good one was named CHRISTMAS CLOWN.

I laughed so hard in the dream I woke myself up.

Last night I had a dream about a FNAF game that took place in a Freddy's location that was a tall tower. The game was made up of several minigames. In each game, you were playing as a different person who worked at the tower. The minigames that I remember included:

• You play as a teenager who moans about how he has to work a summer job at Freddy's. You walk into the tower. A wolf animatronic dressed like a police officer/security guard recognizes you and asks if you need help finding the room you've been assigned to. You say yes, and the wolf leads you to a big party room with more animatronics. But as soon as you get there, something goes wrong (I couldn't really tell what happened) and people start screaming. Then the wolf gains a scary face and starts chasing you. You have to run back to the entrance of the tower to win.
• You meet some strange creature who bodyswaps with you and leaves you trapped somewhere.
• And the most bizarre one: You play as a hairstylist who has to give various characters the exact hairstyles they want, but it's not very clear what they want, and you have to figure out some parts yourself. This minigame included some FNAF characters and some from other works, such as Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed.

Dr. E Gadd discovered that Nihilism is a supernatural disease transmitted like a normal philosophy. Its effects were making people nihilistic. We had to go into people's dreams to "cure" them of Nihilism.

I was watching a Simpsons episode where Marge rips her pants (she was wearing a jogging outfit instead of her usual green dress) and tries to use various things to cover up the rip. At one point she's on a bus and the Crazy Cat Lady is next to her so she uses her cats to cover it up! Then out of nowhere it switched to a My Dad the Rock Star episode with the same plot! Then I was trying to look up a very obscure cartoon that I ALSO remember had that plot, and the main character was a kid with spiky purple hair. He looked like a tween version of Stu Pickles. I remembered it airing on Teletoon and was going to look up their old schedule on the Wayback Machine because it was driving me crazy that I couldn't figure it out. Then the dream ended.

Last night's dream was... something.

My family and I were on a vacation trip to one of the Andean states. For reference, back during the good (and even the bad-but-still-manageable) times, we occasionally went to them (usually Mérida) and spent some really beautiful days in them , as the hotels were idyllic. In this dream, we were on the touristic estate we visited on December 2000, and it almost seemed like we were back in 2000 because one of the TV was tuning Cartoon Network, and the TV series aired was Cardcaptor Sakura, though at another point it was airing Hamtaro, which didn't premiere on the channel in Latin America until 2002.

Sometime around 7 pm (the sky had some bright still but it was cloudy dark), my family was shopping on a supermarket, but I wasn't entirely alone. Turns out a neightbor was with me, and she had just left the bathroom after taking a shower. This being a dream, she didn't cover her body with any tower, nor was she shocked upon me seeing her when we crossed paths. I quickly left the house, even though she was calling me.

While outside, I saw a small street with a small church (funnily enough, there's one like that in a coastal state IRL, but obviously we weren't in that state this time) where a carnival caravan was passing by (wait, so we were in February instead of December?!), and I got to see some cartoon characters. Including Mimi. Which Mimi, you ask? Why, this one, of course!

I tried to approach her to give her a greeting, but I woke up.

I don't remember most of what happened in the dream I had recently, but I distinctly remember there being a part where I looked up something on a school computer and was really worried that I was going to get in trouble, so I started frantically trying to clear my search history.

Can't really remember what it was that I looked up, but I think it contained profanity and/or accidentally turned up some explicit search results. I've since graduated from school, but back when I was in school, I remember being worried that I'd get in trouble for things like that (mainly since the school computers were heavily monitored).

Either way, it was one of those dreams where I was very relieved to wake up and find out that none of it really happened and that this wasn't an actual problem I had, haha.
