Favourite Arctic animal?

Yes, it is Stanley-boy. On his work, I am not going to lie I did find him enormously overrated. I only ever gave forgiveness to 2001 and A Clockwork Orange, the former for technical innovation, the latter for it's absurd vision of violence and sexuality. Although, overtime, I have come to enjoy the late autist artist other work, Dr. Strangelove's eerie nuclear cynicism, Paths of Glory's vicious critique of the military-industrial complex and what is now my favourite film by the late autist auteur, Barry Lyndon's stunning cinematography, picaresque plot and grand eloquence.

I have grown fond of him.

I think it's a cool trope. I like the overall motif, and I'm a tad fascinated with clocks myself.

The peacock mantis shrimp. It's kind of a Memetic Badass, but I can't think of any instances of it as a character in anything.

If you could make your voice sound like any character from a piece of media you enjoyed, whose voice would you want to have?

I know it'd probably be way out of my depth, but man, the new Microsoft Flight Simulator looks gorgeous. If they're able to A) pull off the kind of graphical detail and sheer scale that the E3 trailer had on display and B) do it on a current-gen Xbox I bet it'd be worth a try even if I wasn't any good at it. On the other side, though, Ace Combat was never on my radar before but I'm intrigued by the idea of dogfighting without having to worry about complex controls. I'd love to give it a go.

I've also had fun with the flying in Far Cry 5, but only in the rare moments where I don't get blown to all hell by the cult moments after takeoff. (Also somewhat related: I'm still really kinda terrible at spaceflight with my tiny ship in Outer Wilds but that's part of the fun with that one. I've also always wanted to give No Man's Sky a go just for how it lets you fly from planet to planet without interruptions, and given that the game finally seems to be catching up to its potential I might not hold off on it forever.)

I've also wanted to try Dark Void for a while just from liking the concept (and from enjoying another joint by its developers, Quantum Conundrum). I know it isn't a great game but, like, we haven't gotten our video game adaptation of The Rocketeer yet and a boy is scarce on options there. (I also really wanted to give Anthem the benefit of the doubt because I loved the flying and being a Javelin, but, uh, EA's let me down on that one so far.)

I saw that you've praised The Crew 2's aerobatics discipline before, so perhaps you would be interested in other flight simulator games? Anything from Ace Combat to Microsoft Flight Simulator and in-between.

Player Unknowns Battlegrounds. Pretty much everyone in this country plays it except for me. Heck, it's even popular enough to get TV commercials and cross-promotion with other products, which is very rare for a video game here. The funny thing is that I almost bought Plunkbat back in 2017, but there were severe optimization issues that made me hesitate. Come 2019, and I realized that the Battle Royale genre isn't my thing, so the chances of me playing the game is even slimmer.

I noticed that your page mentions that you’re a fan of Simulation Games like RollerCoaster Tycoon, Zoo Tycoon and The Sims. What was the first game you enjoyed in that genre?

I like it when I can either honest-to-God figure out where they’re coming from and understand their motives (if not necessarily condone their methods), if they give off an affable vibe even whilst being an antagonist (whether legitimately or not), and/or if they chew the scenery like it’s nobody’s business. (I was just watching some of the SpongeBob episodes with Man-Ray in them and he’s a perfect example of the latter.)

Also! My cyberpunk and brand identity-loving ass can’t get enough of megacorporations. One of those tropes I found out about as a kid that just got better with age. (My fictional universe’s primary antagonistic forces, both in the present-day and future settings I’ve worked in thus far, have sprawling companies at the center of them — a favorite both to see out in other work and to write, in my case!)

No, because I like seeing them done in a different style, provided that they do the visuals and storytelling right. There's a reason they're live-action adaptations.

Case in point: I actually like Aladdin (2019). Fite me.

Do you believe that the Disney Live Action remakes are pointless?

I'm actually on most of them are pointless crowd tbh :P Unless if the remake can enhances something like Cinderella or Jungle Book, then I'm fine with it. What makes me think about it is that animation is pretty flexible, colorful and vibrant compared to Live-Action.
