the only two things I've legitimately shipped have been Mirio Togata x Tamaki Amajiki (My Hero Academia) and ValVert. Both of which I couldn't tell you how weird they are.

Weirdest canon ship would probably be Tobias and Rachel, as she's a human girl and he's a boy trapped in the body of a hawk.
Weirdest non-canon ship would probably be Sokka and Azula.
Probably Ashfur x Scourge. Their only interaction at all in canon was Ash making fun of Scourge for wearing a collar.

I've been asked this before, so I'll say it again: I saw someone saying that they've seen a work shipping Twilight Sparkle x Spider-Man. And a new addition: Link x Princess Ruto always confuses me, even though I have nothing against its shippers, due to the fact that Ruto is a fish humanoid.

What do you think of Bastet?
I don't really care about Creepypasta in general (although I love trollpastas), but as for the two specific ones you mentioned...
I used to hate Sonic.exe. He killed Tails, who was and still is my favorite character in the series, and to me that made him the worst kind of monster. Now I just don't care, although I do find the character great Snark Bait.
But funnily enough, I felt the exact opposite way about Tails Doll. I had kind of a Draco in Leather Pants thing going on, and I refused to believe it was evil. I wanted to believe it really was sweet and innocent (which is technically true in the game) Now I don't really care much about that either, but I think the scary Tails Doll stories make great Snark Bait too.

Do short stories count? Because those what I remember the most. Probably A Veil of Water, since even though it's a sad story about a girl losing her dad, the fact that it's told from a child's POV just makes it more poignant.
As for the longer works, Ibong Adarna, because it's more than just "a prince has to save his kingdom by making sure a bird doesn't poop on him".

I always get a kick out of Self-Deprecation. I also sometimes like Lampshade Hanging, although it can be annoying if done improperly.
I also tend to like physical comedy, especially with objects getting broken or knocked over.
