This thread is dedicated to image suggestions for pages without pics (including those pulled by Image Pickin'). Guidelines:
- Please read How to Pick a Good Image and Just a Face and a Caption before suggesting an image. Additionally, make sure to source the image in your post.
- If you have multiple suggestions you'd like to field for a single page, that can merit its own thread. Otherwise, use this thread.
- It is recommended that you upload your suggestions as you would like them to be formatted on the page.
- A crowner will be generated with suggestions which will be voted on as normal:
- The crowners will generally run 12-15 items at any given time and may go as high as 20 if there's a backlog of suggestions, so please do not add items to a crowner once it's running.
- After 3 days, any options with a net vote count of ≥10 can be put on their respective pages. After 5 days, this can apply to options with a net vote count of ≥7. Anything below that will need to go the full 7 days.
- After 7 days, generally the unprocessed options that have a positive vote count (2:1) can go up on their respective pages. Old thread rule, no longer enforced
- Suggestions will generally be processed and added to crowners in the order they come into the thread.
- Selected images will be tagged using this template (which goes above the image):

The image in Shades of Conflict seems to have lower quality.
It's the same image as linked on the crowner. The forum renders images differently than the wiki and is more forgiving to quoteright: resizes. (That's about all I can tell you about the technical aspects of it.)

Is one even an adaptation? Don't those both take place in the same universe? As in... Isn't that the same character just being inconsistent, rather than an "adaptational change"?

Either way, that's still not really an adaptation, just a different take on the character in a different Mario universe. An adaptation would be a movie or book or something, not just a different game.

I don't understand whatsoever, can someone explain to me how it fits Status Effects?

I actually think the Status Effects fits (and is cutely-drawn).
Status Effects is good, but I would include a caption in case it would not be obvious to someone.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.
