This thread is for cleaning up pages that violate the No Lewdness, No Prudishness policy.
Do not use this thread for reporting pages that need to be cut for violating The Content Policy. Report pages that appear too lewd or gushy to have on the wiki using the "Report Page" button on the sidebar, with the checkbox saying "The page may violate the Content Policy" checked. That will create a thread on the Content Violation Discussions subforum. The thread will be opened by a mod if the report is valid, and if it's deemed necessary, the page will be cleaned according to the Content Policy. (The list of pages that were deemed problematic can be found on The Content Policy's page.)
No Lewdness:
"Lewdness" is more than just being about something sexual or potentially sexual. Here are some signs of lewd writing:
- Personal opinions on hotness. Examples should stand on their own without the introduction of YMMV material. Adding your own thoughts and feelings on an example is an opinion, same as calling an example good or bad. Don't do it. Don't try and extend your feelings to a larger group of fans either, e.g. "...and fangirls everywhere rejoiced". You're not fooling anyone.
- Overly detailed examples. The example doesn't need to be an exact sensory account of the event. Too much of that and you end up sounding like you're writing porn. When in doubt, drop a few adjectives.
- Unrelated fanservice mentions. If the hot bits aren't related to the example, they don't belong in the example.
- Pornographic writing. If you're writing porn, it should be somewhere other than the wiki. Keep it Family Friendly.
- Titillation links. Tell, don't show. We don't need screen shots to illustrate NSFW fanservice. If a reader is really curious, they can go look it up on Google. (See also Weblinks Are Not Examples.)
- Pedo gushing. We don't need to describe children sexually. This should be cut immediately. We're not interested in hosting pedophilia fantasies. Period. If a work contains children having sex, even if portrayed negatively, report it as a potential violation of The Content Policy using the "Report Page" button◊ in the sidebar.
- Talking about actors instead of characters. An actor is not the character they play. When you're writing an example about a work, refer to the character, not the actor. This applies to non-sexual references, but too often it's tropers writing about how they find certain actors hot. That doesn't fit in character examples.
- Thinking a page with a Not Safe for Work subject is license to be lewd. Even when we discuss porn, we are about just stating the facts.
- Fanfic Recs for underage sex. We will not host any recommendation for fics that have explicit sex involving people apparently or actually younger than 16. Period. We categorically do not recommend fics with sex in which at least one participant:
- This applies even if all parties are underage.
No Prudishness:
- Don't cutlist or gut pages just because they're about sexual topics. Sex exists. It's used in media a lot. You'll just need to cope with that fact. Relationships, fanservice, and sexual activity all fall into their own tropes as a result.
- Don't be a Bluenose Bowdlerizer. We're not looking to censor all sex off the wiki. If the sex and sexuality is an honest part of the work and relevant to the example, it belongs there.
- The wiki is not rated G. We aren't sanitizing the wiki for small children. Sex and sexuality are part of media and we aren't going to ignore them. This wiki is Family Friendly, not Unsupervised Small Child Friendly. This isn't an excuse to make work pages dirtier than the work itself, as the above No Lewdness section makes clear, but neither is it an excuse to make those pages cleaner than the work itself.

I'd say so. On top of troping pure porn, I'm pretty sure this doesn't fit the trope as it's an actress, not her character. Also it misuses He's Back!.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Third Crisis seems a bit odd to trope.
I've played it, and it's definitely a porn game. There's a plot, but it's not the real focus...

Sandbox help wanted. Also, having an exclusive deal with a studio doesn't make you a creator's pet.
Optimism is a duty.Sebeck 1468 has added the following sentence (in bold) to an example from Astonishing X-Men:
- Mr. Fanservice: Colossus is the main source of fanservice. He is given multiple shirtless scenes throughout the comic and even spends the first 3 issues of his resurrection wearing nothing but a tight red speedo, with quite a few panels displaying loving close ups of his ass and muscles. Emma even compliments him on his physique several times.
I feel like this doesn't add much to the example; and the fact the user also added an entry describing Colossus' "endowment" to X-Men: '70s Members makes me think they are just gushing over the character. In any case, I don't want to come off as overzealous, so should this stay on the page or be removed?
The bolded part definitely needs to go; the rest is fine to me.
Or: "with quite a few panels displaying close ups of his body." 'Camera' framing is noteworthy.

Does this on HoYay.Anime And Manga violate the content policy? Training with Hinako was cut by the P5 because Bathtime with Hinako and Hiyoko was pedo-pandering, and only allowed to be restored if it excluded the third episode.
- Training With Hinako Volume 3: Bathtime with Hinako and Hiyoko makes few false pre-tenses regarding its subject matter and target audience, laying down the Les Yay pretty thick. Half the OVA is the nude Hinako and her breast friend Hiyoko washing and massaging each other, often in some very erogenous places (however, Censor Suds and the characters' inexperience prevent things from going full Hentai). There's evidence of sexual arousal as well, including blushing and pleasurable gasps and moans. Also, Hinako implies that they've been doing Bathtub Bonding for a while.
The issue was that Hiyoko looked very underage, so I imagine that wouldn't be allowed.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Yeah its directly recapping the sexualized parts that got the episode banished in the first place. I do not think anything about that example is salvageable.
Sick Episode has an entry that kinda skeeves me out as it mentions fetishes.
- Several of Sarah Girl 1998's fanfics are these. And given that she has a sneezing fetish, lots of sneezing can be found in pretty much all of them.
- Her first fanfic she ever posted, an Amazing World of Gumball fanfic named The Virus, revolves around Gumball coming down with West Nile and sneezing a lot from it. He eventually gets cured after Darwin helps him release a stuck sneeze, which leads to him sneezing a bunch of times. Years later, the actual show aired an episode named "The Virus", but despite what Sarah Girl 1998 anticipated, it's completely unrelated to the fanfic. In fact, it doesn't even have sneezing. Maybe mentioning the Artistic License – Biology is valid, but I'm not sure about mentioning the author's speculation.
- The Pokémon fanfic Meowth's Cold has Team Rocket's Meowth trying to catch Ash's Pikachu, but fails when he falls into a river and catches a cold. He tries to continue going after Pikachu, but Wobbuffet convinces him not to and takes care of him. Given what poor Meowth has to go through in the anime, it's actually pretty sweet to read. The fact that Wobbuffet, who normally exists as the Plucky Comic Relief in the anime, feels bad for Meowth and wants to take care of him makes it even better. Calling the story sweet seems too gushy.
- Lumpy gets sick extremely frequently in Sarah Girl 1998's fanfics. For example, he catches a cold in Lumpy and Dragonite, and is taken care of by the aforementioned Dragonite. Lumpy recovers at the end, but then Dragonite catches a cold. Seems fine.
- Lumpy also gets a cold in Lumpy and Giggles, and is taken care of by Giggles. Again, this seems fine.
- "Two Rabbits and a Sick Moose has Lumpy catch yet another cold, but this time, he gets taken care of by Yin and Yang. Mostly Yin does the caretaking, however, since Yang is more interested in hearing Lumpy sneeze than taking care of him. Ditto.
- The fanfic "Lumpy's Flu" has Lumpy get the flu, but sneezes from it just as much as a cold does. I'm tempted to cut the mention of sneezing.
- "The Worst Possible Day to Catch a Cold" has Lumpy catch a cold again. Except this time, he catches it on his birthday, but tries to hide it at his birthday party. This part seems okay.
- Still Something to Sneeze At, which continues where the Kirby: Right Back at Ya! episode, "Something to Sneeze At" left off, has King Dedede still suffering from his cold. Again, this seems okay.
- Somebody on DeviantArt asked Sara to write a story about their Original Character Mackerel getting a cold and Lumpy taking care of her. In response, Sara wrote Lumpy and Mackerel, which consists of pretty much that. Lumpy sneezes once at the end, but it's not clear whether he's getting sick with Mackerel's cold. If it's unknown if he's sick, is it worth mentioning?
- The crossover fanfic Lumpy and Fluttershy (two chapters) revolve around the two characters coming down with colds. Initially, only Fluttershy has a cold, but after Lumpy walks up to her, she gives her cold to him and they end up resting in bed together. Seems fine.
- Winter Sniffles has Lumpy come down with "the sniffles", which not only cause him to sniffle a lot, but make him sneeze uncharacteristically quietly throughout the story. He doesn't think that he has the sniffles, as they "don't make him sneeze", but as they continue to make him sneeze, he eventually comes to realize that he does. Again, this seems okay, provided that the sniffles are an actual disease and not just a biological response to the cold weather.
- Yin and Yang's Colds, which is Sarah Girl 1998's first fanfic based on Yin Yang Yo!, revolves around Yin and Yang with colds. Initially, only Yang has a cold, but when Yin tries to take care of him, she ends up catching his cold and has to stay in bed with him. Seems fine.
- Sick Mario involves Mario catching a cold from Luigi. Also seems fine.
What do you think about my analysis?
For every low there is a high.I think the fact that this particular fetish is innocuous on the surface level means it's probably not that big a deal. The mention of the actual episode title is probably okay, but remove the Hilarious in Hindsight pothole and the spoiler markup, or even reduce it to a "not to be confused with the later episode of the same name" bit earlier on. And yeah, cut the gushing from the Team Rocket one too.
I don't actually know if standalone works can qualify as Sick Episode anyway.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Hello. I already discussed this on ATT, but I thought I'd go here to ask about some additional details I'd like to have clarified.
Recently, the Japanese adult video company GIGA made Kyuusei Sentai Wakusaber, a six-episode parody series of Super Sentai/Power Rangers. The first five episodes are all family friendly, feature no pornographic content and are available on Youtube. The sixth episode however is only available on Giga's website, and is a straight-up porno, but also concludes the story.
The people I spoke with on ATT all seem to be in consensus that it would be okay for me to make a page on the first five episodes of Wakusaber, but I was wondering if it would be okay for me to make a page on the sixth episode as well so long as I don't mention the... explicit bits... in too much detail. In my discussion on ATT, I was made aware of two works that follow similar rules and I was wondering how their rules might apply here.
If you'd like additional clarification, here is a link to the original discussion that took place.
Just imagine something here.Just write for the first five episodes. Maybe put a warning for the sixth.
Just made a server on discord.Come join me.The ratio of 5 purely no-porn episodes to one that still has plot in it but also sex is fine for the wiki. The policy is not a complete purging of everything with explicitness, but the stuff that is just the sex. So yeah, you can talk about the plot points that #6 closes up, just put a warning that its NSFW and don't go indepth on what exactly sex is happening.
Agreed.
I removed that Bathtime with Hinako and Hiyoko Ho Yay example, linking to this thread.
Keet cleanupI thought so. Thanks for clarification.
Just imagine something here.I think this goes here. Just came across this entry on Snake People:
- Erotic TF artist Darin Brown uses the pseudonym Naga, and has drawn several "self-portraits" of his female Naga persona. NSFW link.
Would it be okay to remove the link and replace it with a sentence naming the artist's site, or should the whole thing be removed?
I'm leaning to cutting the whole mention. "They drew (naked) snakepeople sometimes" is way too barebones and going indepth is going into pornyness.
It also sounds like just advertising artwork on a trope page.
Optimism is a duty. There's this on YMMV.Juno under Misaimed Fandom:
- Not by a whole lot, but pregnancy fetishists have a great admiration for this movie, especially the scene in which Juno enthusiastically rolls up her shirt for Vanessa at the mall.
99% sure this can immediately be axed. Sandbox help wanted.
Yeah, that can be axed.
I removed the Snake People entry and cited this thread.
Don't know if this is really too lewd an entry, but I found this on the web original page for Creator's Pet:
Aside from this entry being explicitly about a porn site, this is pretty much troping a real life person just because they appeared in a lot of porn videos. Should we cut this entry?
