Now why didn't I listen to that?
Too late now. I'm the Red Hood's Shadow. As the name (and avatar) icon imply, I'm a Batman fan, as well as just comics in general, along with a few other things besides. I've been contributing to this site for a about a year or two now, maybe a little longer, and it's been a so-so experience. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't addictive though.
Some tropes that pertain to me:
- All the Other Reindeer/No-Respect Guy: I get no respect on pretty much every website I've ever been on...including this one.
- Ascended Fanboy: A mild and down-to-earth case. I've developed a penchant for snarking after falling in love with Spider-Man.
- Aspergers Syndrome: Which would go a long way towards explaining my addiction to this place and tropes in general.
- Berserk Button: While I don't literally go "berserk", there are quite a few things that are pretty much guaranteed to put me in a bad mood.
- Big Eater: Inverted. I can get by with surprisingly little, to my father's continued amazement.
- Brainy Brunette: Though the first part is only in certain arenas.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: I can put in an obscene amount of work into something I really care about. Anything else...
- Cain and Abel: With my little sister
- Cannot Tell a Lie: I sure can exaggerate though.
- Character Alignment: Lawful Good. I'm also a fan of this system in general and have made many alignment charts for it.
- Cloud Cuckoo Lander
- Curtains Match the Window
- Deadpan Snarker
- Does Not Understand Sarcasm: At least not always.
- Fanboy/One Of Us/Geek: Duh
- Good Parents: Mine
- Good with Numbers: Played with. I'm decent in some arenas of Math, but terrible in others.
- Hero-Worshipper: Of Spider-Man
- Hidden Depths: In keeping with the fact that I'm, you know, a human.
- Jerkass: From my sister's perspective. I also happen to know quite a few of these.
- Keet
- Large Ham/Chewing the Scenery
- Loners Are Freaks: Subverted. I prefer to be alone but I'd hardly describe myself as a "freak". Others may disagree though.
- Mean Character, Nice Actor: I love to play the villains, but I'm far from one in Real Life.
- Men Don't Cry: Alas, it has been a long time since I last shed tears.
- Motor Mouth
- Naïve Newcomer
- Nice Guy: Or so some people claim. I like to think so.
- The Nicknamer: I adore giving people nicknames. And they seem to take it pretty well for the most part too.
- No Indoor Voice
- Not Good With People/No Social Skills
- Perpetual Smiler: As close to it as you can get
- Red and Black and Evil All Over: Averted. I sometimes wear red and black and love the color scheme, but I'm a Nice Guy
- Sarcasm Mode: Ironically, though I have frequently employed this trope I can't always detect it myself.
- Serious Business: Obviously, editing and maintaining pages are this to me. Otherwise I wouldn't do it
- Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness: Much to the occasional irritation of others
- Silly Rabbit, Cynicism Is for Losers!: I don't believe in cynicism. At all.
- Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Gender reversal. Single guy seeking good woman.
- Sliding Scale of Idealism Versus Cynicism: Heavily idealistic, and I don't regret it for one second.
- Small Name, Big Ego: From my sister's perspective.
- The Smart Guy: In some arenas. Considerably less so in others.
- Sympathy for the Devil: An excess of this annoys me
- Technical Pacifist: I don't like real violence or war, but I'm a firm believer in self-defense, and I vehemently disagree with Actual Pacifist views.
- Tropes Are Not Good: I disagree with this one. Tropes are very very good (though not too many other people seem to agree with this).
- Unreliable Narrator: Exaggerate? Me? Never!
- What the Fu Are You Doing?: I don't know how to properly fight. At all. That doesn't stop me from trying when LAR Ping though.
- Why Did It Have To Be Bees: Which nobody is even remotely sympathetic too.
- Wide-Eyed Idealist: I try to be more the last part than the first part though.
