Mr. Flabby Dabby Wabby Jabby

  • A Simple Plan: Yakky, Augie and Shag just wanted to sneak into the viewing for a violent R-rated movie, yet their adult disguise keeps making people drag them into increasingly important responsibilities.
  • Accidental Truth: The titular "Mr. Flabby Dabby Wabby Jabby" is the fake identity Augie and friends made up on the spot while disguised in a Totem Pole Trench. It is also a real character who looks just like their disguise, has a high pitched voice and even is a lawyer just like they previously fibbed.
  • Artistic License – Biology: After "Mr. Flabby Dabby Wabby Jabby" is made mayor, Shag complains about his blood sugar getting low and munches on a chocolate bar. This hints that he has diabetes. However, chocolate is not a good choice of foods to treat low blood glucose reactions. It contains fat that will slow the release of glucose into your blood and will not raise your blood glucose fast enough.
  • Black Comedy Burst: This gem suggests that Wally has a body count.
Wally Gator: (in a courthouse) I swear the body was already dead when I found it!
  • British Teeth: The real Mr. Flabby Dabby Wabby Jabby is British and has prominent buckteeth.
  • Contrived Coincidence: The real Mr. Flabby Dabby Wabby Jabby just so happens to look like Augie, has glasses, orange hair, and is a lawyer.
  • Creepy Child: Yakky Doodle's reaction to an ultraviolent, gory movie? An excited, "It's like my dreams, but I'm awake!"
  • Everyone Has Standards: Shazzan refuses to sell Augie, Yakky, and Shag tickets to Super Ultra Death Woman 4: The Deathening knowing that the movie would scar the children. With that said, he's at least reasonable enough to let them see the movie with adult supervision.
  • Frying Pan of Doom: Augie at one point uses a frying pan to knock out Huckleberry Hound.
  • Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: Taffy Dare approaches "Mr. Flabby Dabby Wabby Jabby" and asks "him" if "he" will run for mayor. Augie is at a loss of what to do, but Yakky slaps her, telling her to get it together.
  • Gonk: Mr. Jinks says that Bleep the alien is ugly.
  • Hidden Depths: Augie mentions that Doggie Daddy taught her about defensive jutsu and chakras and is exceptionally skilled at using such knowledge.
  • I Want My Mommy!: Shag screams about wanting his mama when he finally gets to see the horror movie.
  • Japanese Politeness: When dealing with the alien, Shag mentions that in Nippon, people bow as a form of respect.
  • Kangaroo Court: The court is clear bogus. Shag/Augie/Yakky easily get away with knocking out Granny Sweet, the judge, and declare Wally innocent with no substantial evidence.
  • Kiddie Kid: Parodied when Shazzan says that the kids are too young and innocent to watch a horror film, and should instead watch a movie that appears to be about actual babies.
  • Kids Shouldn't Watch Horror Films: Shag Rugg, Augie, and Yakky try to use the Totem Pole Trench trick in order to see an R-rated movie called "Super Ultra Death Woman 4: The Deathening". At the end of the episode, they finally get to see the movie...and immediately regret it.
  • Literal Ass-Kicking: When their cover is blown, Shazzan prepares to use a magic boot to kick Augie, Yakky, and Shag's butts.
  • My Life Flashed Before My Eyes: Yakky says her life flashed before her eyes, and it was short.
  • No Sympathy: When Yakky confesses that she only goes to outings she doesn't like with her friends out of fear of being excluded from future ones, Shag outright confirms that she's right to think so.
  • Please, Don't Leave Me: Even though Yakky strongly fears horror movies and other questionable outings, she admits that she only goes to them so she won't be abandoned by her friends in future outings.
  • Quintessential British Gentleman: The real Mr. Flabby Dabby Wabby Jabby is a sophisticated British fellow who convinces Shazzan to let the kids see the movie provided he supervises them.
  • Running Gag: Everyone getting Mr. Flabby Dabby Wabby Jabby's name wrong.
  • Sequelitis: invoked Lampshaded by Shag.
Shag: Baby Dooky Dum Dum 6? That movie's the worst! I mean, 1 through 3 were good, but MAN! They lost the plot after 4!
  • Spinning Paper: One that reads "MR. SHABBY PABBY SLABBY FABBY RUNS YOUR MAYOR: 'I'm an adult!'"
  • Stock British Phrases: The real Mr. Flabby Dabby Wabby Jabby says "What's all this then?" when he steps out of his limo.
  • Take Me to Your Leader: The invading aliens demand to see the town's mayor or they will destroy all of Jellystone.
  • That Cloud Looks Like...: Shazzan points out a cloud that looks like a worm.
  • Totem Pole Trench: Augie Doggie, Yakky Doodle, and Shag Rugg try to sneak into a very violent movie using this tactic. Things go off-the-rails from there.
  • Would Harm a Senior: While in court, Shag Rugg knocks out Granny Sweet with a gavel.

Ice Ice Daddy:

  • Abusive Parents: When he hears Captain Caveman call him "stupid" out loud (it was actually Cavey Jr. saying the word repeatedly), Shazzan walks away irritated, asking if he's his mom.
  • Adaptational Villainy: In The Flintstones, despite his tendency to lock Fred out of the house in retaliation for putting him out, Baby Puss was nothing more than a (saber-toothed) housecat. In this series, he's a ferocious wild Smilodon who menaces Captain Caveman and Cavey Jr. upon melting free from a block of ice.
  • An Aesop: While parents should look after their children responsibly, there's no need to be smothering about it. And once the kids have proven they can look after themselves, it's alright to give them some space.
  • Anthropomorphic Shift: Glump is now fully sapient, and Suddenly Voiced to boot.
  • Artistic License – Paleontology: Glump talks to Top Cat about his fear of meteors. The thing is he's a Stegosaurus, which went extinct millions of years before the meteor that caused the end of the Mesozoic era. He is also missing the tail spikes of Stegosaurus, despite having at least two of them in his show, but that could be chalked up by art simplicity.
  • Art Shift: Captain Caveman is so stunned by Cavey's hiney-whooping skills that he turns into an extremely badly drawn version of himself.
  • Bumbling Dad: Captain Caveman wants to be a good father to his son, but he can barely take care of himself as it stands. Thankfully, Cavey Jr. is capable of being out on his own and doesn't mind it.
  • The Cameo: The Neptunes (Clamhead, Shelly, Bubbles, and Biff) are briefly imagined by Jabberjaw during a game of badminton, hinting that they are all still friends.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: The episode has Captain Caveman hung over after a night of partyingnote  and discover that he has a child that he is not prepared to care for, mentally or otherwise.
  • Free-Range Children: This episode establishes that Cavey Jr. can take care of himself, freeing Captain Caveman of early parenting duties.
  • Freudian Couch: Glump is shown sitting on one during his therapy session with Top Cat.
  • From the Mouths of Babes: When Captain Caveman tries to instruct Junior how to swing his club, saying he's doing too much stooping, Junior begins shouting "Stupid!" repeatedly, which offends Shazzan. Cap tells Junior that "stupid" is a no-no word; in response, Junior begins repeating the word "butt," which causes Peter Potamus to start rambling about how he's been doing squats.
  • Grievous Harm with a Body: Jabberjaw uses Boo-Boo as a racket to hit the shot back.
  • Harmless Freezing: Cavey Jr. and a sabertooth tiger are originally found frozen in ice blocks.
  • How Many Fingers?: The paternity test they use involves Captain Caveman and Jr. to lift three fingers and they both end up lifting about seven fingers on one hand.
  • Human Popsicle: Cavey Jr. is found in an ice block.
  • Made of Incendium: Captain Caveman's refrigerator goes down in flames after Cavey Jr. throws a smartphone at it.
  • Open-Minded Parent: For what it's worth, Captain Caveman immediately tries to step up and be a good dad when he finds out that Cavey Jr. is his son. Once it becomes clear that Junior is already self-reliant, Cap is totally fine with it, letting Junior go off to play in the woods and being content that he'll see him around sometimes.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Cavey Jr. has no trouble tossing a refrigerator into the horizon or taking on a ferocious sabertooth.
  • Shown Their Work: Baby Puss is drawn with a bulky body and a short tail like a real Smilodon, as opposed to a typical cat-like body like his original counterpart. In the same episode, Glump's plates are drawn as arranged alternatively true to a Stegosaurus, instead of paired plates like in the original.
  • Snowy Sabertooths: Captain Caveman gets attacked by a saber-toothed cat that breaks free from a block of ice, forcing Cavey Jr. to come to his rescue and fight the cat.
  • Talk Show Appearance: Captain Caveman appears on Snagglepuss' talk show to see if he really is the father of Cavey Jr.
  • Temporary Bulk Change: Yogi briefly grows massive muscles while playing badminton.
    Boo-Boo: Oh no, Buff Yogi!
  • Tempting Fate: Glump talks about how he overcame his fear of meteors...then is hit by a flaming refrigerator.
