Rise of the Outlaw Tamer and His S-Rank Cat Girl (脱法テイマーの成り上がり冒険譚~Sランク美少女冒険者が俺の獣魔になっテイマす~trans. ) is an ecchi fantasy Web Serial Novel series by Skyfarm that began serialization on Shousetsuka ni Narou on 26 August 2019.

D-rank adventurer Lint is a Beast Tamer, one of the most reviled classes in the world because they work with monsters. His fortunes change one day when he catches the attention of the A-Rank Birena who has an interesting proposition for him: use his Beast Tamer powers on her to make her his familiar.

The series was adapted into a Light Novel series illustrated by Nekosuke Ookuma by Micro Magazine-sha beginning 25 December, 2020. A manga adaptation by Joji Manabe began serialization in Comic Ride Advance on 12 April 2021; it was licensed for English release by under Seven Seas Entertainment's Ghost Ship imprint on 7 March 2023.

Tropes found in the work include:

  • Accidental Proposal: Lint meets Saintess Lily when she's getting out of a bath and she drops her towel. She reflexively blurts that she can now never get married and he needs to take responsibility, and Birena very deliberately interprets that statement literally.
  • The Alleged House: Before becoming D-Rank, Lint lived in a shack that was barely holding itself together and only technically counted as shelter.
  • All Women Are Lustful: Birena, definitely, and Lily quickly goes from shy virgin to eager in a single night with Lint (and Birena).
  • Bag of Holding: Supposedly worth as much as a house, Birena just gives hers to Lint after becoming his familiar.
  • Battle Harem: Given that Lint's harem contains S-Rank adventurers, this is pretty much a given.
  • The Beastmaster: The Beast Tamer class, of course.
  • Black Comedy: Thanks to Lily's immense healing powers, Birena and Lily are often cheerfully cavalier about the possibility of Lint being grievously injured or killed.
  • Cat Girl: It's even part of the full title!
  • Clothing Damage: Justified, believe it or not. Some armor has a self-destruct function to prevent deformations from impeding movement in a fight.
  • Defeat by Modesty: How Baron Dragon Slayer is taken down. Even believing that it is a life or death battle, she can't bring herself to try anything more than a desperate Wounded Gazelle Gambit while her body is exposed.
  • Dirty Old Man: The Pope from the "Kingdom of God" turns out to just be this.
  • The Dog Bites Back: Birena and Lily invoke this to convince Baron Dragon Slayer to accept being tamed by Lint.
  • Dragon Tamer: Birena drags Lint to a dragon nest to become this literally for Rule of Cool.
  • Evil Versus Evil: The "Kingdom of God" is embroiled in a civil war that is ultimately this. Pope Zausru is a Dirty Old Man under whose reign the nation kills children without magic potential and citizens aren't even allowed to leave the country freely. The usurper, Cardinal Kiraem, is a practitioner of dark magic who launched his coup pretty much just to seize power and isn't any better. Both have religious fanatics with Blind Obedience as their underlings. Both sides want to control Saintess Lily to give themselves legitimacy.
  • Experienced Protagonist: Interestingly Inverted as Lint, the main character, has the least adventuring experience of anyone in his party. All of his companions would easily fit this trope, though.
  • Fantastic Arousal: Birena's ears.
  • From Zero to Hero: Lint, as a result of Birena's training and encouragement, goes from a nobody to a renowned adventurer in what seems to be less than a month.
  • Gender-Blender Name: Baron Dragon Slayer is a female dark elf.
  • Healing Hands: Saintess Lily, naturally. After becoming Lint's familiar, she shows off her power boost by bringing an insect that Birena just crushed Back from the Dead.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Baron Dragon Slayer and her subordinate assassin Sieges end up joining Lint as familiars as well after being defeated.
  • Hero's Slave Harem: Lampshaded by Birena. Having Lint use his beast-taming powers on her was her idea to begin with. He actually points out that it will strip her of her free will, and she replies she wasn't using it anyway.
  • Hold the Line: When Lint finds an adventuring party near death due to a giant wolf monster way beyond his ability to fight, he engages it anyway to protect them and manages to keep it busy long enough for Birena to arrive and One-Hit Kill it. The bravery of taking on a monster that outclassed him so badly to protect people he didn't even know is what impressed Birena enough to make her offer.
  • Level Grinding: The day after she drags Lint to get a dragon and a fire spirit as his new familiars, she grabs enough quests that Lint genuinely worries they can finish in time for the express purpose of putting him through this as quickly as possible.
  • Little Bit Beastly: Birena, which is apparently enough for Lint's Beast Tamer abilities to work on her.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: Birena. She considers the Sex Slave potential of being tamed by Lint a perk.
  • Luminescent Blush: Lint's promise of what he can provide Birena as part of the Beast Tamer contract causes her to develop this. Baron Dragon Slayer is also very easily embarrassed and blushes heavily.
  • Megaton Punch: There isn't much that can fight after Birena hits them.
  • No-Sell: Kyuruke manages to block an overhead blow from a two-handed sword wielded by a retired (ad buff) B-Rank adventurer with his wing. As in the thinnest and most vulnerable part of his body. While flying and without budging. He only gets tougher from there later managing to easily tank blows from Baron Dragon Slayer that were able to destroy one of the strongest dragons in two hits.
  • Overnight Conquest: Birena's plan to deal with Lily being caught in the middle of two civil warring factions of a highly religious nation with tyrannical leaders who will never stop trying to force her to serve them so long as she lives is for their party to beat up both sides and conquer the nation themselves.
  • Plausible Deniability: The civil war in the "Kingdom of God" is threatening to spill over into the country where the main characters live by using the Saintess Lililunasir (aka Lily, Birena's old adventuring friend) to legitimize the deposed faction. Lily wants out of the whole affair, but the Adventurer's Guild can't be seen playing politics, so the Guild Master Vilento (the mentor to both Lily and Birena) asks Lint to take an off-the-books quest to get her away from the Pope, promising 100 gold coins and an advancement to B-Rank as a reward.
  • Playing with Fire: Kagerou, as a result of being a Flame Emperor Wolf.
  • Polyamory: Between Lint, Birena, and Lily. Again, it's Birena's idea. Baron joins later on at the insistence of both Birena and Lily.
  • Porn Stash: Lint's origin has him finding an ancient manual for the Tamer skill amidst an equally ancient example of this.
  • Power Perversion Potential: After she becomes his familiar, Lint is able to boost Birena's sexual sensitivity. She very much enjoys it.
  • Powers via Possession: Lint can unite with the flame wolf spirit Kagerou to gain fire abilities.
  • Property of Love:
    • The arrangement of Lint making her his familiar was Birena's idea, knowing full well the power it would give him over her. She was eager to point this out to entice him into agreeing.
    • Lily is embarrassed about being barged in on while naked by Lint and Birena, but some quick whispered words from Birena and she's very quickly on board with this.
    • Baron Dragon Slayer is not quite as eager as the other two at first, but comes around very quickly.
  • Questionable Consent: Baron Dragon Slayer being pressured by Birena and Lily into sexually submitting to Lint is very much this, even if she had already agreed to become his familiar.
  • Red Baron: Baron Dragon Slayer, known for killing the Emperor Dragon in two blows, the second of which made the dragon explode.
  • Ridiculously Fast Construction: When Lint shows Birena and Lily his home, Lily decides to raise a castle for him from under it.
  • Rule of Cool: Birena drags Lint to a dragon's nest and then to a fight with an S-Rank monster as much because of this as their ability to help him get stronger.
  • Samus Is a Girl: Baron Dragon Slayer
  • Sex Slave: Not only is Birena very aware that Lint's Beast Tamer powers would let him turn her into this, she actively encourages this line of thinking.
  • Sexy Cat Person: Birena is a pretty clear example, dressing provocatively and being a Lovable Sex Maniac.
  • Sickly Child Grew Up Strong: Slimes are known as the weakest monsters. Kyuruke was so weak before he met Lint that he was bullied by other slimes.
  • The Social Darwinist: Supposedly everyone in the nation named "Kingdom of God" is a wizard... because they kill all children who don't have magic potential.
  • Super-Empowering: Beast Tamers don't just bind monsters to them, they make them stronger.
    • Lint's familiar Kyuruke is a slime that has since developed fluff and wings by the start of the series.
    • On her first day as his familiar, Birena gains the ability to make shockwaves with her fists.
    • Lily grows wings the morning after she becomes Lint's familiar and her healing magic advances to Back from the Dead territory.
  • Underestimating Badassery: After his training with Birena, Lint undergoes an exam to become a C-Rank adventurer and both the guild secretary overseeing and the retired B-Rank adventurer (who is a former student of Birena's) administering it laugh at him, fully expecting an underwhelming performance. What follows is a Curb-Stomp Battle in Lint's favor.
