Crosses The Line Twice / Robot Chicken

Crosses the Line Twice examples in Robot Chicken.

  • "Batman Smells": Two adults beating and killing a group of children for mocking them would normally be horrifying, but the fact that Batman and Robin attack the boys by rubbing their faces in their armpits/butt respectively, throwing their weapons at them and even curb-stomping one to death is gut-bustingly hilarious, and the fact that this was all just a story said by a teacher to shut up his rambunctious students for disrupting his holiday program cinches it.
  • "Care Bear Cleansing" sees the famously cuddly Care Bears decide to kill all the Care Bear Cousins to keep their franchise afloat. Their thorough commitment to this idea, the enthusiastic way they call it genocide, and the Care Bears planning to use a hotel built for the Cousins by Don Cheadle to keep the corpses, makes it so messed-up that it's funny.
  • "Give a Mouse a Cookie" starts out tame enough, much like the original story... only for the mouse to suddenly develop a taste for human blood, turn into a vampire, turn everyone he bites into vampires, and cause the National Guard to be called out... before getting eaten by the vampires, which prompts the President to call in a nuclear strike that reduces America to a blighted atomic wasteland, causing all the other nations of the world to start shooting off nukes until the planet is destroyed in an Earth-Shattering Kaboom. The sheer absurdity of the Disaster Dominoes scenario at hand is already over-the-top... before it's revealed that this is a story said by a mother to her shell-shocked son, claiming that she killed Daddy because she caught him giving a mouse a cookie.
  • "Misery, My Sweet Babboo" is a Peanuts version of Misery that takes Sally Brown's obsessive love for Linus to whole new levels by having her kidnap poor Linus after an injury, in hopes that he'll write a Love Letter for help. The lengths to which the skit goes to, from Sally beating Snoopy, who's wearing a Batman costume, to death with a shovel and tossing his body down the stairs for figuring her role in the kidnapping out and Linus being appalled that she killed Val Kilmer, to Sally using Charlie Brown's wilted Christmas tree from A Charlie Brown Christmas to break one of Linus' legs off, is so absurd that it makes the whole thing a riot to watch.
  • "Tooth & Consequences," which was self-awarded as the "darkest sketch in television history," consists of a child being visited by the tooth fairy and several circumstances that result in the death of the tooth fairy, the child's mother, the child's father or some combination thereof. While this specific sketch downplays it somewhat at the end by showing that even in-universe the entire sketch was staged and nobody actually died, it's still surreally dark.
  • In one sketch, Hannah Montana is murdered like John Lennon, and her friends from the show struggle to maintain the illusion of her being two different people with her corpse, Weekend at Bernie's-style, only for her body to become more horrifically mutilated. The sketch ends with a cut to Miley Cyrus crying hysterically in an office, as a Disney executive warns her "And THAT is how we'll end the show if you ever get knocked up like that Zoey 101 whore!"
  • The "Raiders of the Magic Garden" sketch, full stop. Combined with both Nightmare and Nausea Fuel.
  • Another example would be in The Muppets / I Know What You Did Last Summer sketch; Fozzie's been stabbed and wanders out on stage, and Statler and Waldorf heckle him and call him an ambulance.
  • One sketch consists of a Parody Commercial for a video game called Codename: The Abortionator, which is essentially an exercise in creating the most offensive video game premise possible, albeit in a way that the game sounds over-the-top and ludicrous. Gameplay features boasted about include the player being able to kill their own parents, urinate on the homeless, kick puppies, make love to their hot cousin and make love to their hot cousin's mentally disabled friend (who is clearly shown to be traumatized by the ordeal). For extra "so wrong, yet so hilarious" points, the end of the commercial states the game is rated E for Everyone.
  • Normally a horrific car crash is never funny. A car crash involving clowns sound effects and all however, makes it a complete riot.
  • Jumping Jesus on the Pogo Stick of Righteousness, Cuddles Fabric Softener. Rape? Not funny. Raping a stuffed bear because of how irresistibly soft its fabric is? Priceless.
Narrator: Cuddles brand fabric softener: when your clothes have to be huggably, rapably fresh.
  • This exchange from when the Joker is about to be executed:
Commissioner Gordon: Maurice P. Joker, for 2,391 counts of murder and... many other crimes that seem minor next to 2,391 counts of murder, you have been sentenced to death. Have you any last words?
Joker: I know Jesus has forgiven me.
Police officer: ...Is that a joke?
    Joker: (starts tearing up) No!
  • "The Game of Life" is a pretty fucked up skit, involving a girl peg getting rejected from college, being sexually extorted by her Burger Fool boss, getting pregnant because of it, and killing him in self-defense. What makes it funny, however, is that all these events are controlled by a spinner, and the jingles after each scene get increasingly audacious.
"Be a winner at the Game of Life!"
"Disappointment in the Game of Life!"
"Sexual favors in the Game of Life!"
"Broken condoms in the Game of Life!"
"Start a family in the Game of Life!"
"Kill your husband in the Game of Life!"
