Crazy Jealous Guys in Video Games.

  • In Al-Qadim: The Genie's Curse, the sorcerer Farid Al-Mutan is a little way down this road, being paranoid that his wife will be seduced by another man. He is therefore keen to keep you — a heroic, swashbuckling, Walking Shirtless Scene — away from her. He doesn't go so far as to drive you away, but he does make pointed remarks to you about how dishonorable any hypothetical wife-seducer would surely be, and he asks your word that you'll never seek out his wife's company. His wife, should she learn of his jealousy, takes her husband to task for being silly — she's loyal to him and he should trust her.
  • BlazBlue has Jin Kisaragi for his brother Ragna. And Jin's not-quite-girlfriend Tsubaki is a Clingy Jealous Girl for him.
  • Captain Robert Norton of Dead Space 3 is this regarding Ellie Langford. As the game wears on he gets more and more suspicious of Isaac Clarke, assuming he's trying to "steal" Ellie and blaming him for the various things that go wrong with the mission. Norton goes so far as to betray Isaac to the Unitologists. Even after Isaac saves his ass from Danik, and later the rampaging Nexus Necromorph, Norton attacks him, forcing Isaac to kill him in self-defense.
  • Fenrich from Disgaea 4 tends to get violently possessive of Valvatorez, with his behavior ranging from casual death threats to people he thinks are getting too close for comfort to at least one attempt of trying to carry out said death threats.
  • Izumi in Ensemble Stars! is extremely possessive over Makoto, a former friend of his who used to model with him until he quit prior to the events of the game. He so strongly believes that he is entitled to seeing Makoto model with him (not to mention Makoto looking up to him as a brother again, or perhaps something more romantic) that in the Main Story he actually kidnaps him and traps him in a soundproof room, keeping him from sleeping and only allowing him to eat when Izumi's hand feeds him until he will be 'honest'. After Makoto gets out of this, he still routinely stalks him and is extremely clingy whenever they meet, trying to separate Makoto from any other potential friends and allies. Eventually, Makoto manages to strike a bargain where he won't run from him on sight if Izumi heavily cuts down on the creepy behavior; he only mostly succeeds, and while Makoto stops being scared of him, when Izumi graduates Makoto is still basically happy to see him go, even if he hopes he'll be successful (far, far away from him).
  • Henry from Fire Emblem: Awakening plays the trope for laughs. If he has a girlfriend and they talk about love while stepping on an event tile, he cheerfully tells her that he loves her and then asks if he can put a curse on her so she won't be able to look at other guys. We never find out if he actually does, though. (Most likely not; he doesn't tend to curse other people as easily as Tharja does.)
  • Jeff in Grand Theft Auto IV is a randomly encountered minor character in the game, but he stands out due to how unstable his jealousy is. He accosts the main protagonist Niko Bellic on the streets asking him to spy on his wife Shirley all while on the verge of exploding in a fit of anger since he is highly paranoid that she is cheating on him. After some time has passed after the first encounter, it's revealed that he brutally murdered her by stabbing her fifty times and tells Niko to dump her body in a river. When Niko encounters him for the third time, it turns out that he married again a short time after murdering Shirley and he is also paranoid that his new wife is cheating on him, asking Niko to kill her for him. Even for a guy that kills people for money, he refuses to do this for a complete psycho like Jeff leading to walk out in the streets in anger and getting ran over by a car.
  • Halo 5: Guardians: Warden Eternal claims to be trying to stop Master Chief from Cortana because he doesn't trust him not to betray her, but it becomes quite obvious that he's very jealous of how much Cortana still cares for Master Chief and is acting more to Murder the Hypotenuse.
  • Sie Kensou from The King of Fighters, as Athena's Dogged Nice Guy. At first it was limited to manga adaptations like KOF: KYO and KOF G (which played this almost completely for laughs and Butt-Monkey effects), but in XIII he gets pissed if he's in a Mirror Match and he thinks his "double" is disguising himself as him to "steal" Athena. Thankfully, he doesn't let this go to the extreme.
  • In NieR supplemental material, it turns out that Jakob is actually kind of a possessive jerk about his brother. After their mom left and Gideon still worried about her, he told Gideon that robots tore their father to shreds and boarded up the windows so Gideon could only leave one way. He even thought about breaking his legs to keep him there.
  • If Persona 3 Portable's Female Protagonist forms a romantic relationship with Akihiko Sanada, he shows some shades of this. It's mostly played for laughs and mostly directed at Ken Amada, who is surprisingly capable of holding his own against it.
  • Derek Simmons the Big Bad of Resident Evil 6 is obsessed with Ada Wong to point of making clones of her, and destroying a lot Lanshiang just trying to capture Ada, so when Simmons discovers Ada has a relationship with Leon S. Kennedy Simmons drops everything to murder Leon as quickly as possible. Best summed up with this line:
Simmons: GET AWAY FROM HER LEON, YOU'RE NOT HALF THE MAN SHE NEEDS!
  • Bowser from Super Mario Bros. has been portrayed as this towards Princess Peach and likely plays a part in his antagonism towards Mario. In several games Bowser has brainwashed Peach, demanded kisses from her and attempted to marry her multiple times.
    • The Brainwashed and Crazy Luigi aka Mr L from from Super Paper Mario appears to be this to Peach as well. He reveals that he’s jealous of Mario’s relationship with Peach and his superior jumping ability.
  • Matt from Until Dawn depending on the player’s choices can become a Crazy Jealous Guy over his girlfriend Alpha Bitch Emily and her ex-boyfriend and Chick Magnet Mike. If Ashley lets him look through the binoculars and see Mike hugging Emily, he’ll become enraged and can get into a scuffle with Mike over it later, forcing Josh to separate them. Worse still later in the game Matt can literally bargain with Emily’s life as she’s dangling over a pit, demanding that she and Mike are done before he pulls her to safety, which Emily has no choice to comply with. Though she still falls anyway.
  • At the beginning of The Walking Dead: Season One, Lee was on his way to prison for killing his wife's lover. Though he can admit to The Stranger that he regrets hurting her, he doesn't regret killing him.
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt brings us the Bloody Baron, who visited some Disproportionate Retribution on the man his wife had had an affair with - namely, cutting him into pieces and feeding him to the dogs.
  • Albedo from Xenosaga, when he was a child and sometimes even as an adult, was this towards his older brother Jr./Rubedo.
