Enemies
Basic Raider
These enemies are encountered the most in the game.
- Dancing Mook Credits: While the credits don't appear, there is always a short cutscene that plays at the end of a stage featuring some Basic Raiders. These same cutscenes appear on the title screen.
- Sleepy Enemy: Sometimes you'll encounter a basic raider that's asleep. These sleeping ones give double points when you shoot them.
Kissing Raider
The female variant of the Basic Raider. They are encountered in Stage 1 and the Extra Stage.
- Cheery Pink: They sound excited when they appear.
- Kiss of Death: Their go-to method of attack.
- Pink Means Feminine: These are the only explicitly female enemies in the game.
X-Spike
These spiky enemies appear in Stage 1, and Extra Stage.
- Death Glare: They always appear angry.
- Grievous Harm with a Body: In some cases, you will need to make the X-Spike smash into other enemies, most notably, the first boss.
- Heavily Armored Mook: Their helmets are tougher. If you shoot them in the back, they'll fly away until they crash into something.
- The Spiny: They are spiky enemies, and have tougher helmets than the others. You can only really defeat it by shooting it in the face, as hitting anywhere else will launch it into something.
Switch Raider
- A Head at Each End: They are joined back-to-back with each other.
- Blue Is Calm: The face on the blue side generally doesn't do much, although sometimes it will charge right into you.
- Death Glare: The face on the red side will give you this look.
- Glass Smack and Slide: As noted above, sometimes this enemy charges right into you, causing it to smack into the screen.
- Red Is Violent: The red side always appears angry, and will sometimes shoot at you.
Diver
Divers are encountered in Stage 2, Bonus Stage, and Extra Stage. They usually take up to 5 hits, and they bounce around when you hit them.
- Aquatic Mook: They wear goggles, and are encountered in Bonus Stage, which takes place underwater.
- Color-Coded for Your Convenience: These enemies can come in different colors. The blue ones takes 5 hits, the green ones split into two, the purple ones move faster, and the golden ones are heavier and fall faster.
- Purple Is Powerful: The purple divers bounce faster, making it hard to hit them.
Panel Face and related enemies
Panel Faces and their variants are encountered in Stage 3 and Extra Stage. They are square shaped enemies.
Panel Face
- Death Glare: The Red Panel Faces sometimes give you this look.
- Enemy Summoner: Sometimes, a Panel Face will summon a Beetle.
- Red Is Violent: Some Panel Faces appear red and angry, and will smash into you if you don't shoot them down.
Rectangle Face
- Asteroids Monster: When you shoot a Rectangle Face, it will split into three separate Panel Faces.
- Unique Enemy: Only one Rectangle Face appears in the entire game.
Beetle
These enemies are sometimes spawned by the Panel Faces.
- Big Creepy-Crawlies: They resemble big bugs.
- Big Eater: As if its big mouth didn't make it obvious enough. They eat the background wall.
- Black-Hole Belly: It will keep eating away at the wall until you shoot it down. It will stop on its own after a while, though.
Flip Face
Flip Faces are encountered in Stage 3, and Extra Stage.
- Light 'em Up: Not the good kind. While they won't do any harm to the player when shot, others in a group that aren't flipped over may shoot at the player until they are all upside-down.
Tennis Racket
Tennis Rackets are encountered in the Final Stage and the Extra Stage.
- Playing Tennis with the Boss: A non-boss example. You must hit the orange ball back at the racket to defeat it.
Paddle Face
Paddle Faces are encountered in the Final Stage and Extra Stage.
- Battering Ram: They will ram into anyone.
- Deadly Disc: They are shaped like a disc and will crash into you if you don't shoot them down.
- Mini Mook: By far the smallest enemy in the game.
- Perpetual Smiler: They are always smiling.
- Super-Speed: They are really fast.
- Too Dumb to Live: They don't stop at all and risk getting themselves killed.
Bosses
Samurai
The boss of Stage 1. He also appears in the Extra Stage.
- Enemy Summoner: Can summon Basic Raiders and X-Spikes into the battle. The latter is required to get past Samurai's shield.
- Impact Silhouette: Samurai introduces himself by bursting through the background wall and laughing.
- Samurai: The headgear theme of this boss.
- Shield-Bearing Mook: A boss example. The second phase of Samurai's fight has him throw up a shield. The only way to get through it is with the X-Spikes.
- Warm-Up Boss: Samurai can be beaten by shooting him when possible without thinking too much. The only part that requires any effort whatsoever is the second phase, where you need to shoot the X-Spikes back at him to destroy his shield.
The Twins
The boss of Stage 2. They also appear in the Extra Stage. To defeat them, you must always shoot the right Twin.
- More Dakka: Shooting the wrong face will sometimes make the Twins shoot many silver balls at you.
- Multiple Head Case: This boss has two heads.
Sunny
The boss of Stage 3. He also appears in the Extra Stage.
- Enemy Summoner: Summons five Flip Faces into the battle. Flipping them all upside down reveals Sunny's weak spot.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Flipping all the Flip Faces upside down allows you to defeat this boss.
- Visual Pun: The Flip Faces going around Sunny gives the impression of planets orbiting the sun.
Disco
The final boss of the game. Appears in the Final Stage and the Extra Stage.
- Victory Fakeout: When Disco's armor is destroyed, and he gets the Funny Afro, it is not the end of the stage.
