Became a Heaven's Blade Receiver at the age of 13, his weapon of choice is a pair of gauntlets.


  • Adaptational Villainy: In the novels, Savaris is depicted as slightly less sinister than his anime self.
  • Heel–Face Revolving Door: Goes from being power-hungry, to helping Layfon in a battle against a matured phase filth monster, then to going after Nina because he was after the Haikizoku.
  • I Just Want to Be Badass: Savaris' only desire in life is to become stronger, and he holds little interest for anything else.
  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: He's an attractive man with very long silver hair.
  • Power Fist: His Heaven's Blade is a pair of gauntlets.

Currently the strongest Heaven's Blade Receiver.


  • Badass Longcoat: He dons a long, black trenchcoat just so you know how badass he is.
  • Blood Knight: He loves fighting filth monsters.
  • Challenge Seeker: He left his home city because the filth monsters were rare and too weak for him to enjoy a battlefield.
  • Colonel Kilgore: He joined the battlefield against filth monsters for the fun of it.
  • Guys are Slobs: He never cleans his apartment in Glendan, and got annoyed when Alsheyra came to vacuum it.
  • Master of Threads: He can use his kei to create some of the largest and intricate steel threads to trap and cut filth beasts.
  • Mentor Archetype: Lintens acknowledges Layfon as his only apprentice.
  • The Quiet One: He's pretty quiet almost to the point of hostility.
  • Razor Floss: He's capable of splitting his steel threads to fatally cut through large filth beasts.
  • Warhawk: He's a Blood Knight who goes to the battlefield of filth monsters for no reason other than that he enjoys fighting.

The Heaven's Blade wielder with dark, long hair, purple eyes, and a veil over her face.


  • Action Girl
  • Blue Blood: She's a member of the royal family.
  • Improbable Age: She was the youngest to attain a Heaven's Blade at the age of fifteen, way before Layfon and Savaris.
  • Lady of War: She's a ladylike noblewoman and a Heaven's Blade wielder.
  • Royal Rapier: Her Heaven's Blade is a rapier. Makes sense for a Lady of War.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: She's a royal and a Heaven's Blade wielder.
  • Significant Double Casting: In the anime, Kanaris and Queen Alsheyra have the same voice actress in the original Japanese. This foreshadows the reveal that Kanaris is Alsheyra's double when the latter sneaks out of the castle.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Whenever Queen Alsheyra leaves the palace, Kanaris fills in for her by transforming into her appearance.

The Gothic member of the Heaven's Blades.


  • BFG: Her Heaven's Blade is a gun that can also transform into a cannon-like weapon.
  • Chained by Fashion: Her outfit has chains in the collar, the upper arms, and around the waist.
  • Goth: Her overall design is based on goth fashion. Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette dressed in a black gothic style outfit with a witch hat.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: She's particularly ill tempered.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Probably the most profane of the Heaven's Blade wielders.

  • Naginatas Are Feminine: Her Heaven's Blade is a a pole-bladed halberd which is similar to a Guan Dao or Naginata.

  • Seers: She can detect any filth monster no less than a week before they are able to reach Glendan.
  • Transflormation: In the novel, After she dies, her flakes formed a five-petaled flower as she spoke to Felli.

  • Epic Flail: His Heaven's Blade is basically a ball and chain.
