This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Hrmm ... that crowner was actually about the myths, legends and Oral Tradition, not about the hub mythology pages like Classical Mythology.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynmanon UsefulNotes.George W Bush, the second reference to Abraham Lincoln needs to be namespaced to UsefulNotes/AbrahamLincoln (note: the first reference to him is already namespaced.) and on Film. The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, Abraham Lincoln needs to be namespaced to UsefulNotes/AbrahamLincoln
Keeper of The Celestial FlameOn Adventure Time, there is a Fan Dumb entry, which is Flame Bait, so it's not supposed to go anywhere, even on the YMMV tab. I'd like to request the deletion of the Fan Dumb entry.
^ also, that example is so generic its ridiculous. All it says it literally "Adventure Time has some dumb fans", no examples or anything
Atari 8 Bit Computers and Atari Jaguar can be removed from Useful Notes Pages In Main as they are fully migrated (or at least they will be when my edit requests are done).
Atari2600 can be removed and put under the wick migration page:
It only has 63 wicks left
And that should be all the Atari consoles.

Neverwhere can be removed from the Wick Namespace Migration page.

@Septimus: Ah. Curse me and the terminology I used at the crowner. I kinda thought that it would apply for this as well...
Oh, and while we're at it, can we add Myth/ to Administrivia.Namespace? Also wondering if Art/ is going anywhere to be put there too...

I now go by Graf von Tirol.Edit Request for The Lonely Island:
- Transfer second entry from Precision F-Strike; more suited as Atomic F-Bomb entry.
The Friends of Eddie Coyle can be removed from WorkPagesInMain.D To F.
"But... nobody told me I needed a signature!"Animals Fear Neutering was launched with a link to No Real Life Examples, Please!. It should be placed on No Real Life Examples, Please! under impossible in real life.
Status Quo Is God can now also be added to the No Real Life Examples Please list for being a narrative-only trope.
I also would like Driven to Suicide to be moved to a different folder because it's definitely not something that is "impossible in real life". Quite the opposite, in fact.
^ Specifying which "different folder" would be nice...
Probably best fit for Driven to Suicide is the "Too Common" folder.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpHeh. I was actually trying to decide between that one and the "attracting natter", since most forum discussion about suicides I come across often lead to such debates, then ended up forgetting about it completely. But, yeah, I think "too common" would be the safer bet for that one.
ETA: On a reversed note, Killed Off for Real should probably be moved to the "impossible in RL" or "narrative trope" folder, since it refers to notable exceptions for a setting where death is otherwise cheap, and not simply "a person dies".

In the Griefer trope, looking for this to be added under Tabletop Games:
- In Wraith The Oblivion, each player, the titular Wraiths, have Psyche and Shadow as part of them. The Shadow specifically is the worst side of the character, their darkest desires and personality flaws, but the character must interact with this because it gives them power. Normally the GM controls this, but the game also suggests letting other players control the Shadows, following the guidelines of the chosen Shadow archtype to grief the Wraith player until they give in to what the Shadow wants. After doing so, the Shadow is happy (for a bit, they soon return to their mischief), and the Wraith has to deal with the (usually horrible) consequences.

It should be eponymous not titular. And since I am quite short, have a moustache and wear glasses, you can call me a Grammar Napoleon if you want.

Keeper of The Celestial FlameThought I'd do some crosswicking.
On Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil:
- In The Folding Knife, one of the reasons why the protagonist, Basso, is so disgusted to learn that his sons raped a barmaid, is that while he thinks that theft and murder can sometimes be done for justifiable reasons (and has committed both himself), the same is not true of rape.

Edit, edit, edit, edit the wikiFM Towns can be removed from Useful Notes Pages In Main as it is fully migrated
Peter Watts can be removed from Creator Pages In Main
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Requesting: Theory of Narrative Causality and Jeanne d'Archétype to be added in the No Real Life Examples Please, under "Narrative tropes".
Please remove these from Administrivia.Hyphenated Titles:
- Recap.Stargate SG-1 S2 E13 Spirits
- Recap.Stargate SG-1 S2 E21 1969
- Recap.Stargate SG-1 S9 E4 The Ties That Bind

Keeper of The Celestial FlamePlease add DrunkOnTheDarkSide to the "Morality tropes" folder of No Real Life Examples, Please!, as per the RL section discussion thread.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI'd like to request a couple of edits to the PAW Patrol page:
- The Medic: In "Pups Save Jake", Marshall's house turns into an ambulance instead of a fire engine, and Marshall himself is equipped with Emergency Medical Responder equipment rather then his usual firefighting gear (such as an X-ray and a crutch), in order to help the injured Jake.
This next one goes under the Ship Tease list:
- In "Pups Save A Flying Frog", after Skye manages to avoid crashing her copter into her lighthouse, Chase is so relieved, he jumps into Ryder's arms. He then sheepishly jumps off, adding that he knew Skye could do it.
Also needs to be added to Locked Pages.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsPlease make the following changes/additions:
To Horny Devils, add:
- The Outer Limits (1995): In the episode "Caught in the Act", an alien parasite causes a chaste college girl to become a hypersexual life-sucking succubus who swings both ways.
- Dawn of the Dead (2004): The televangelist, who blames the zombie apocalypse on America's sinfulness (read: tolerating pre-maritial sex, abortion, homosexuality and homosexual marriage). He's played by Ken Foree, and gets to utter his famous line from the original in a very different context.
To False Rape Accusation, add:
- Las Vegas: A privileged woman claims that Danny forced himself onto her after she came onto him while they were both drunk. She then tries to blackmail Ed, Danny's boss and a former CIA agent, into using his worldwide contacts to get several of her company's overseas development projects approved in exchange for dropping the false charges against his employee and protégé. Ed blackmails her right back by using these same contacts to cancel most of her company's projects, and generally make her life a living hell, after which she backs off.
To Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil, add:
- Assault on Dark Athena: The sadistic Jaylor expresses his intent to rape Silverman, and asks Riddick to "rile her up" for him. Riddick refuses and replies that he just murders people.
- Riddick (the 2013 movie):
- Riddick shows contempt for rapists, as in Assault on Dark Athena. When Santana gets on top of Dahl to rape her, Riddick grabs his knife as if preparing to intervene, even though this would signal his presence. It turns out that he didn't need to anyway, as she can easily beat up Santana.
- It's heavily implied that the female prisoner was being used as a Sex Slave by the mercenaries as well. Luna is taken aback that she thinks he's going to rape her, showing that he's a nicer guy than the rest.
On YMMV.Avatar, please replace the bad "Complete Monster" wick in the first Alternative Character Interpretation entry with "Colonel Kilgore". The concept of 'he's possibly a Complete Monster depending on how you look at things' kinda goes against the strict criteria and voting procedure for that trope.
On Monster.Comic Books, namespace Blueberry to Blueberry.
It's been decided in the Monster clean-up thread to move the Highlander examples to a new Monster.Highlander page. Please index the new page on Monster.Film and Monster.Live Action TV and remove the examples from those subpages (the two movies are listed under Monster.Film F To O). I'll wait until ACW chimes in to see if there are anymore tweaks to be done before requesting a lock.

You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"
Now that a Myth/ namespace has been designated, you may remove Classical Mythology and Chinese Mythology from WorkPagesInMain.A To C
And Wick Namespace Migration now has this:
* '''[[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/relatedsearch.php?term=Main/ChineseMythology Chinese Mythology]]''' - Myth/
* [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/relatedsearch.php?term=Myth/ClassicalMythology Classical Mythology]] - Myth/
