Sami is also a roleplayer. Up ahead is some information about a certain roleplay she does that you'll have no idea what she's talking about, but maybe, if you're bored, you'll like to read it.

Summary of Roleplay:

Roxas, Sora, Yuki, and Kara in their Atlantica forms. Drawn by yours truly.
Kara Rose (an original character) and Yuki Nagato are working at their town's little cafe on a dreary, slow day. There is a certain lack of costumers when Sora enters, taking a seat as he tries to figure out what to do after being separated from Donald and Goofy. Kara, of course, is rather bored from the lack of costumers, and, after Sora insisted he didn't want to buy anything, a conversation is started. Eventually, Sora slips up and has to explain everything about the other worlds, Heartless, etc. to the two girls in there. Yuki believes him (already knowing most of the facts, such as there being more than one world, seeing she comes from another world) Kara is hesitant, but uses her Kakoro powers to dig into Sora's mind (figuratively and literally) to figure out if he's telling the truth. It turns out, he is (learning the fact "He is the Keybearer", her powers grabbing memories or other such facts from someone's mind), but it wasn't long until it was confirmed as the Heartless appear. After fighting said Heartless, Earth is destroyed, the three teenagers escaping through a portal just in time.

So the story continues with the three all joining together, the two Earth dwellers wanting their world back while Sora is on his regular mission to restore all worlds (not like the others are against saving all the worlds either, though). It isn't long, though, before they all gain close bonds, and they all began to learn about each other and their pasts.

Various new characters and plots are brought in throughout this rather long-lasting and still continuing roleplay.

Contains Examples Of:

  • Beware the Nice Ones - Though possibly more, do not piss off Ventus or Kara. Ventus knows how to kick your ass with a keyblade, and Kara may still be in training, but she'll try. Also, Kara swears like a freakin' sailor and will tear your ass a new one if she thinks you're being totally ignorant and unfair.
  • Beware the Silly Ones - Practically all of the Organization members.
  • Bishounen - This is a roleplay based off of Kingdom Hearts, which is based off of a Final Fantasy, so OF COURSE there are bishies!
  • Calling the Old Man Out - Kara has multiple cases of these moments where she defends her "little brother", Ventus, from the dickhead Terra.
    • And, later on in the story, Kara once again has one of these moments, only this time knowingly to her actual father. When she figures out that Terra is her dad, she gets her own moment to call him out for abandoning her, even though Zack didn't mean to, she just needed to let out what she had been holding in for so long.
  • Dances and Balls - When they went to Cinderella's world—much to Kara's excitement—they got to go to the ball (or, at least, Kara, Yuki, and Ventus, who escorted Cinderella while the others looked for the Keyhole).
  • Darker and Edgier
  • Hair of Gold - About half the characters. Pretty much all of the blondes besides Anara, who completely inverts it.
  • The Heartless - DUH
  • Hey Its That Voice - In a moment of Breaking the Fourth Wall, Roxas sings "Because You Live" by Jesse McCartney (Roxas' voice actor in the game). Kara, familiar with the song, thinks about how he sounds so much like the original artist, though Jesse's name is never actually given.
  • Hot Shoujo Dad - Any of the dads, really.
  • Improbable Hairstyle - Everybody besides Yuki, pretty much...
    • And quite a few with specifically Shonen Hair, Sora being the one who first comes to mind (he always has to tell people it's the way his hair naturally grows and that he just leaves it messy).
  • It's Not You, It's My Enemies - Played straight as Sora tried to take Kara out of harm's way after he discovered his feelings for her. Kara, though, was not happy in the least, leading to an argument, then tears, then apologizes, and then confessions.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy - Roxas and Kara have a rather sweet, romantic moment together before Kara realizes she must choose between Roxas and Sora. After Kara choses Sora and tells Sora, once she goes to tell Roxas who she chose, before she can, he tells her to pick Sora, since Roxas is going to fade away eventually, anyway.
  • Japanese Sibling Terminology - Kara has gained the habit of calling Ventus "Otouto-chan" (little brother) and Otouto-chan ONLY (even when talking to someone else about him, not just when addressing him, and even to the habit of calling him that around people who don't even know who her "Otouto-chan" is). In turn, Ventus calls Kara "Onee-chan". Though, unlike Kara, is not habitually and he does not always call her that. When talking to someone else instead of addressing her, he'll call her "Kara", and, if wanting to get her attention, he'll call her "Miss Kara" (because she hates the formality of titles such as "miss", especially when used for her). After being adopted by her and Sora, he also will call her "Mom" on occasion, but usually only when in shock, as a sort of subconscious way to show his affection.
  • Locked in a Room - While on Balto's world (yes, we know Balto isn't Disney...), Kara and Terra both fell down a hole and were trapped down there alone. Could be a Locked in a Freezer situation, too, seeing it was outside in Alaska while a snowstorm was coming, though there wasn't very much of a rush to get out. Playing it straight, both characters, in fact, shared a certain amount of animosity, and they also learned a new appreciation for each other, this appreciation coming from, first of all, Kara meeting the true Zack, since Terra's dark nanobots were shut off from the cold, and second of all, the two of them figuring out that Zack is actually Kara's father.
  • Love Triangle - Sora and Roxas both fall for Kara. Sora wins.
  • Luke, I Am Your Father - It is discovered that Terra (Zack Faire) is Kara's father. Since all they did was fight before, it's pretty much "the villain being the father of the hero" version of this trope, though this was revealed while his dark nanobots were shut down, and so, he wasn't being the Jerkass he normally is.
  • Morphic Resonance - Anytime the characters go to a world in which they turn into animals. Same eyes, hair color, markings from clothing or armor, and—if the character has one—their Iconic Item.
  • One Head Taller - What will certainly happen with Sora and Kara in the future. Kara stopped growing when she was twelve or thirteen, and yet Sora still has a few years of growing left to do.
    • Kara and Ventus, as well. Kara is Ven's "big sister" (mother, after the adoption), and his face only about reaches her collarbone. Well, with Kara done growing and Ven having yet to reach puberty, this won't last forever.
      • On the contrary, when aged seven years ahead when in Hyrule, Kara still hasn't grown, while Denzel towered over her at 18.
  • The Power of Friendship - This is a KINGDOM HEARTS crossover. OF COURSE.
    • Kara, though, probably is the strongest believer is such a power (more like Sora in original video games, while this Sora is less like that).
  • "Romantic" Two-Girl Friendship - I often think of Kara and Yuki when I see this trope, but maybe it's closer to a step down from this. Though not really "Class S" (seeing that they're not only high schoolers, but only one is Japanese while they both live in America), these two girls are close, and Kara's affection towards her friend and Yuki's acceptance of such affection might make people think they're closer than just friends, but, really, Kara's just an affectionate person (her attitude towards other friends has been mistaken as flirting), and Yuki just doesn't care about personal bubbles.
  • Ship Tease - Multiple times for Sora and Kara. It was almost as if we knew they'd get together.
  • Shirtless Scene
  • Shoutout - Though both writers include these all the time, this writer must admit she does it more often (and maybe too often).
  • Talking to Themself - Multiple cases. Sora and Roxas; Kara and Anara; Aerith and Anrith.
  • Tear Jerker - More than once, the writers have gotten misty eyes while writing this, both happy and sad tears.

Character Sheets:

Sora Hikari:

  • The Chosen One
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation
  • Hurting Hero - Being The Chosen One is never easy. Once dubbed a "Forgotten Hero" by one of the writers, that's an easy way to sum it up.
  • Iconic Item - His crown necklace, which he basically wears no matter what form he's in (such as a lion in The Pride lands).
  • Like Brother and Sister - After much confusion over who he likes—Kara or Kairi—he realizes that Kairi is like a sister to him more than anything.
  • Meaningful Name - Sora = sky
  • Parental Abandonment - His father left him when he was young, and his mom isn't exactly the best parent ever.
    • Hey Its That Voice - This writer just about freaked out when her suspicions were confirmed, learning that Sora's mother is, in fact, voiced by the same women who voiced Helga's drunkard mother, using the soused-sounding voice.
  • Stepford Smiler - Being a Hurting Hero, he often tries his best to hide any of those feelings by cracking jokes and trying to be like he was before he became The Chosen One.
    • He seems to be doing better, though, after Kara broke through his mask and found out he had built up a facade. She insisted that all his thoughts about being used and forgotten were bullshit and that she'd always be his friend. It wasn't until they became an item, though, that he truly seemed to believe her.

Kara Rose Birth name: Rose Fair/Gainsborough:

  • Bad Dreams - Anara gives Kara these all the time. Playing it straight, at one point in the story, Kara had one of her Anara nightmares while in the same room as Ventus and Sora, and after jolting upwards with a scream, she had to admit to the two about these dreams.
  • Cat Smile - Default expression for her, and is explained in realism as to have been born with that facial deformity (which is, in fact, Truth in Television).
  • Cute Little Fangs - All four possible snaggleteeth.
  • Distinguishing Mark - Kara has a sideways, heart-shaped birthmark on her lower back.
    • Because of this birthmark, she discovers she is Terra's daughter after he shows her a picture of his long gone daughter when she was only a baby. Lead to freak-out.
  • The Ditz
  • Genre Savvy - She's also quite the troper, mentioning tropes from this very site here and there that she thinks fits her life or someone else's.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals - Kara has a large stuffed dog named Buffy (who is, in fact, a boy). Though she doesn't carry him around, he is a sort of Security Blanket to her, having been her only comfort growing up, and will still, even now, cuddle him when she needs comfort. She also sleeps with him, and, in fact, finds it odd to sleep without hugging something, so used to it after nearly twelve years of sleeping while hugging him.
  • From the Mouths of Babes - Growing up without any parents or guardians, she learned adult things at a very young age, having said herself that she knew and used regularly every swearword and knew most of the grown-up "things" before she reached the double digit ages.
  • Iconic Item - A silver key on a chain with a red, heart-shaped gem on each side. It is the source of her power. Without it, not only can she not use her kakoro power, but she also loses her emotions. In fact, her "heart locks up", lack of pulse included.
    • Also, her bow could be included. She always wears a large pink bow tied in the back of her hair, the points sicking out from behind her head to add to her cat-like looks by giving her a pair of pink ears. (An idea, this writer admits, she got from Mikan-chan.)
  • The Klutz
  • The Messiah
"... 'hate' is not in her vocabulary.."
    • To the point of even loving the parents she never met because they abandoned her, and even Terra, who seems to be the only one who can piss her off to extreme amounts.
  • Noblewoman's Laugh - Anytime Kara laughs "evilly" (jokingly, like when being mischievous) she uses this laugh. If you compare her to Anara when it comes to this aspect, it's rather creepy... Not only is Anara's evil laugh the same, but Kara can then seem very much like Anara when laughing like this. And don't forget the back of the hand to the mouth while laughing!
  • Not a Morning Person - Though usually hates getting out of bed, if in a particularly good mood that morning, she can be chipper right when she wakes up. Usually, not until she actually gets out of bed will she become cheerful, and while she's still in bed, she's trying to get more rest while being silently cold.
  • Older Than They Look - She looks around twelve or thirteen, but is really seventeen.
  • Onee-sama - To an extent. She's known as "Onee-chan" by Ventus, and is certainly like the first type of Onee-sama (affectionate, always giving hugs, and treating Ven kind of like a puppy). Though she's not so much the "princess", certainly is not graceful, is pretty, but not known for it, and lacks any sort of "poise" you might expect. Ventus might be the only one who sees her anywhere close to that (and just barely), but, mainly, she's just his goofy Onee-chan.
  • Otaku - Maybe not to the obsessive extent, but she certainly loves anime, manga, etc. and loves to reference it.
  • Parental Abandonment - After keeping it a secret, she lets it slip that both her parents are missing. She was left on the doorstep of the orphanage as a baby.
    • Then, when she was five, the only nanny that didn't abuse her went missing, and she was told that said nanny left because she hated her. After the news was given to her, she was then dumped on the streets by the remaining nannies.
    • Later, it is discovered that her parents didn't mean to abandon her. Instead, her parents are Zack and Aerith, and her dad had to leave (being part of Soldier) before she was even born, and her mother was separated from her when their world was destroyed, Kara ending up on Earth when she was only a baby.
  • Pettanko - One of the many features that make her look young and attract the PedoBears.
  • The Pollyanna - She can be extremely optimistic, even about her own pains and hardships, though she usually can go between this and a sort of Break the Cutie mood in which she needs some time to vent before she can find the positive side again.
  • Rapunzel Hair - It grows to her ankles.
  • Squee - Expect this from her whenever she sees something cute. Ven has gotten his fair share of these from Kara whenever he makes a cute comment (that and a really big hug), and has come to wonder what it is he says that always makes her act like that...
  • Stepford Smiler - Not all the time, but Kara often hides her pain from others and puts on entire acts just to hide how distressed she really is.
  • Tastes Like Diabetes - Your Mileage May Vary, but she certainly says and does things that are so sweet that the writers always joke about her "giving diabetes".
Kara and Anara in their kakoro and anti states, respectively.

Anti-Kara (a.k.a. Anara):

  • Blondes Are Evil - Being an evil twin, she and Kara get to show both sides of blondes, with Anara showing their evil side while Kara shows their innocent side. It's an inversion in and of itself!
  • Enemy Without - She is a part of Kara, which leads to Synchronization, though only Anara knows about this trait.
  • Evil Is Sexy
  • Evil Twin - Who do you think?
    • This writer often think of her as an Evil Counterpart, because I designed her as "Kara if she let the darkness and pain take over her".
  • Manipulative Bastard - Without a doubt. If a certain type, would be most likely classified as The Vamp, though she mainly plays with someone's emotional pains rather than their hearts, though won't be afraid to flirt to get her way.
  • Nightmare Fuel - Almost literally. Kara believes that Anara is only a figment of her imagination whom she had seen in her dreams since she was little. Anara, trapped inside Kara's mind, can only communicate with her through dreams, or, rather, in Anara's own world inside Kara's brain. When Kara is asleep, Anara can pull Kara into her world, and there, she gives her the most traumatizing nightmares.
  • Noblewoman's Laugh - Pretty much her default laugh. One thing that eerily connects her with Kara in similar habits, seeing Kara laughs like this when jokingly "evil". Anara also lifts the back of her hand to her mouth while laughing (which Kara also does, to make them nearly the same when laughing like this).
  • Stripperiffic - Her outfit started out as a Playboy Bunny outfit in my mind, and then I made it evil and more slutty.
  • Whip It Good - Her main weapon is a simple whip, and she regularly uses it to restain others.
Yuki and Kara in their Space Paranoids outfits.

Yuki Nagato:

  • Alien Among Us - Sora can tell right away that Yuki is not from Earth, and it isn't too long before Yuki is revealed to be an alien in the story. Kara, however, had to wait three years before she learned Yuki is actually an alien.
  • Badass Bookworm - She certainly loves books and is intelligent, and her ability to learn rather quickly makes it rather easy for her to learn how to use a sword. Even though both her and Kara started training at the same time, Yuki is far ahead of Kara in skill.
    • Before ever meeting Sora and fighting Heartless, Kara and books taught Yuki karate so that Kara could have a sparring partner, so she was prepared.
      • And she's an alien, don't forget that.
  • Emotionless Girl
  • Kuudere - Though seemingly emotionless, she'll sometimes show hints of actually having emotions, such as her expression becoming less robotic looking and softer. It becomes obvious that she really does care about her best friend Kara. Kara seems to be the only one who can read her emotions with ease, while everyone else still thinks she doesn't have any.
    • She actually smiles at one time, and blushes at another time! Guess that's what happens when the alien falls for Tron.
  • The Quiet One - Most the time, she's just sitting back and watching everyone. Though, occasionally, when she talks, she talks, going on for quite a while about something. Though, such times are rather rare. She usually just keeps her thoughts to herself.

Ventus (Denzel Strife) (later named: Denzel Hikari):

  • Break the Cutie - This has happened to him, actually, more than once, but to minor extents, and Kara—and Sora, too—helps pull him through. Has also had at least one big Break The Cutie moment in which it took a lot more help to get him through.
  • Cute Bruiser - He has a giant flippin' key and he's not afraid to use it!!!
  • Cute Shotaro Boy - Both writers just LOVE Ven for the very reason of his cuteness. Not to mention, Kara became his "big sister" because of his cuteness (and she can't resist cuteness!).
  • From the Mouths of Babes - Even though he's only a kid, he swears occasionally, and he probably knows more than most kids his age.
  • Meaningful Name - Ventus = wind.
  • Parental Abandonment - Both his parents were killed, and later, he was separated from his two adoptive parents.
  • The Woobie - Where do I start? When he was a kid he watched his parents die, then, after being adopted, he was separated from said parents and injected with nanobots that ate away at him because he was so young. And, on top of that, he was put under command of Terra, who abuses him.

Roxas:

  • Iconic Item - His checkered wristband, which—like Sora—he wears no matter what form he's in. Also, his shuriken necklace, which he later gives to Kara, so she'll never forget him, even once he fades.
  • Not a Morning Person - Pretty much impossible to get out of bed. Kara finally got him moving one morning after threatening to blast her guitar in his ear at least twice.

Axel:

  • The Mole - After having been assisting them and then becoming a part of the group for some time, he betrayed them in a similar way as in the game.

Terra (Zack Faire):

  • Iconic Item - His dog tags. He later gives them to his daughter, Kara, while his dark nanobots were shut off, right before they would turn back on.
  • Jerkass - Thanks to the dark nanobots, he's just a total dick (which the writers call him all the time). But, not only that, but it is discovered that he abuses Ventus.
  • Lone Dalek - Though a total jackass, later on in the story it is discovered that he is Kara's father. He discovers this while his dark nanobots are shut down, and this leads to a Crowning Moment Of Heartwarming. His thoughts, though only lead to the future when he'll be a jerk again, and this leads to the sympathetic moment for the readers.
