     Mario

Mario

     Luigi

Luigi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/luigi_3.png
  • A Day in the Limelight: In Dream Team, alongside Meiling
  • Ascended Extra: He gets more to do in Galaxy (Remastered) (He was an NPC in the first one and was unlocked after you beat the game), Galaxy 2, (Remastered) (An alternate playable character in the main game) and Odyssey (in the main game, he was added in an update, hosting Balloon World)
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: He and Meiling turn giant four times in Dream Team and again in Paper Jam to beat Papercraft Bowser and then to battle Shiny RoboBowser.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Turned into Mr. L in Galaxy 2 Remastered. Daisy frees him with the Wild Card.
  • Butt-Monkey: Takes a lot of abuse
  • Characterization Marches On: Admitted he was jealous of Mario in the original Galaxy but Mario pointed out that Luigi was an amazing guy who saved Mario from King Boo, built a giant robot while brainwashed, tried to beat Dimentio and aided Mario against many villains which helped Luigi get over it. This was not brought up in Galaxy Remastered
  • Cowardly Lion: He's terrified most of the time, but he always comes through in the end
  • In a Single Bound: Just like his bro
  • Oh, Crap!: Way too many times to count.
  • Shock and Awe: His other main ability

     Princess Peach

Princess Peach

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_2744.PNG
  • Action Girl: In Paper Jam, Kingdom Battle, Galaxy Remastered and Galaxy 2 Remastered
  • Big Damn Kiss: Gives one to Mario at the end of the penultimate chapter of Odyssey after accepting his marriage propsal
  • Berserk Button: The Bowsers destroying her castle in Paper Jam prompts her and Paper Peach to go with Mario and the gang to get revenge.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Fully capable of kicking your rear end
  • The Hero Dies: Is killed alongside Mario in Chapter 1 of Revenge of the Shadow Queen Remastered but is revived at the end.
  • Happily Married/Official Couple: With Mario as of the end of Odyssey.
  • Nice Girl: Nice and cheerful to most people
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gives one to Bowser in the penultimate chapter of Odyssey after all the Koopa King did over the course of the story.

     Bowser

Bowser

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bowser2.png
  • Adaptational Badass: His Dreamy form is cranked up to downright ludicrous levels in Dream Team, enough to fling the Zeekeeper aside! Still falls flat when Kingdom Hearts-verse Marisa and her group battle him.
  • And Now You Must Marry Me: Wants to do this with Peach in Odyssey
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: In Bowser's Inside Story, he grows four times to handle threats that stomped on him. Later in Dream Team, he grows to battle Dreamy Luigi and Dreamy Meiling and is enlarged again by Kamek after being beaten. He gets taken down via gigantic star in the latter case.
  • Berserk Button: Harming Bowser Jr.
  • Big Bad: Of most stories
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Dishes out on these on the heroes from time to time such as when he was powered up by Antasma in Dream Team and in the start of Odyssey. He's on the receiving end of this in Dream Team when Kingdom Hearts-verse Marisa and her group easily pound him flat after he pounded Mario and his friends. This was due to Marisa and the others found out how to beat him from Sabrina.
  • Curse Cut Short: Lets out an "Oh, son of a—-" in Dream Team when he notices the massive, empowered Power Star flying towards him when he's trying to choke out Dreamy Luigi and Dreamy Meiling
  • Demonic Possession: In Kingdom Battle, he's possessed by the Megabug in the penultimate chapter
  • Didn't Think This Through: In Paper Jam, he and Paper Bowser attack and destroy the Mushroom Kingdom after they hurt both Bowser Jrs, due to a misunderstanding (The Peaches and Zeldas had already escaped and no one knew about this). Needless to say, they get their butts handed to them even after they merge into Shiny RoboBowser.
  • Enemy Mine: Teams up with the heroes in the final Chapters of Paper Jam, Kingdom Battle and Wrath of Master Xehanort ReMind
  • Papa Wolf: Zigzagged:
    • In Dream Team, he gets mad at the heroes for beating up Bowser Jr. but never mentions it when confronted later on.
    • Played straight in Paper Jam after the heroes beat both Bowser Jrs. He and his paper counterpart get beaten up later on.
  • Playing with Fire: His main ability
  • Reality Warper: After inhaling the Dreamstone fragments in the final chapter of Dream Team

     Bowser Jr.

  • Tranquil Fury: Best not to make her angry.

  • No-Sell: Morton is unaffected by Pyro's flames in Odyssey to the latter's shock
  • Quirky Miniboss Squad: Their usual roles
  • The Smart Guy: Iggy considering he invented Zappa and Blasta Mechakoopas...but isn't smart enough to keep Futaba from easily hacking them

     Kamek

Kamek

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kamek_nsmbw.png
  • Arch-Enemy: To Marisa
  • Bullying a Dragon: Recklessley overconfident and gets his butt handed to him A LOT
  • The Dragon: To Bowser
  • Make My Monster Grow: Enlarges Giant Bowser in Dream Team after the latter's seemingly beaten
  • Oh, Crap!: Multiple times but a truly magnificent one happens in Dream Team when he's confronted by everyone from the Kingdom Hearts-verse whom he insulted alongside Yang and Marisa and at the end when he's confronted by Deadpool and the Hulk.
  • Power Copying: Copies Master Spark and Final Spark after stealing Marisa's Hakkero in Dream Team. He's not too good (No training) and gets his rear end kicked anyways.
  • Tempting Fate: In Galaxy Remastered, he says
Don't you think it would be wise to go back to the center of the universe empty handed? Let Peach and Reimu hide all they want, they won't be able to hide forever in our galactic conquest. We have the power we need to have the universe bend to our will. Once we have that fully stable, we'll send out man hunts to those who oppose us and lock them up, Peach and Reimu included.
Bowser: Where are you going with this?
Kamek: I'm saying that you can declare martial law on the whole universe and make everyone obey your every command. If anyone opposes, which they will, they won't have the manpower to do anything. You can do whatever you want. Why go on a wild goose chase in search of these two ladies when you can force them back during your reign? That way, no one will stand in your way. Not even Mario because we'll be able to lock him up without him realizing what's going on!
    • Three guesses as to what DOESN'T happen and the first two don't count

     King Boo

  • Mad Scientist: Capable of building all sorts of things such as the Hydrogush 4000 (from an unwilling F.L.U.D.D no less!)
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Downplayed but in Partners in Time, he wasn't happy when Pit explained what was going on first

  • Making a Splash: His main ability which is to shoot streams of water from his nozzle. Gets a major upgrade when he's turned into the Hydrogush 4000 in Partners in Time.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Hasn't been seen since Dream Team

     Dry Bowser

Dry Bowser

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dry_bowser.png
  • Adaptational Deviation: Unlike his canon self in the games, Dry Bowser is in a league of his own in Paper Jam, and he's not as terrifying as in Super RWBY Sisters due to only showing up in said story before getting killed.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: He's the first Bowser, but he's crushed in the last chapter of Paper Jam unlike in Super RWBY Sisters where he's a big threat
  • Didn't Think This Through: Threatens Bowser Jr in Paper Jam...aaaaand is promptly killed by Bowser
  • Playing with Fire: Like Bowser

     Shadow Queen

Shadow Queen

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shadow_queen.jpg

Gloria

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gloria_7.png

     Bea

Bea

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bea_2.png
  • Action Girl: She kicks butt in fights
  • Adaptational Badass: Fully capable of fighting many foes such as Organization XIII, the Ruined Dragon and Esdeath
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: Her specialty type.
  • Berserk Button: Esdeath's philosophy of the strong surviving and the weak dying gets to Bea to the point where the Galarian Karate Prodigy sets up a sand sculpture of Esdeath at Bubblaine and pummels it into nothing. Gray has to calm down Bea. He does so by telling her about when he wanted to destroy something that took a friend of his who taught him ice magic until a close friend of his knocked him back to his senses. After pointing out to Bea she's not thinking straight and is setting herself up for complete destruction and he says he got cocky and underestimated Esdeath. He then says he's not making that mistake again and isn't going to let Bea make that mistake either and they'll take out Esdeath together. Bea then realizes what happened saying she was so blinded by her anger and lost all focus, to which Gray says happens to the best of them and even forgives Bea for their fight on the Odyssey.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Normally chill but she can and will kick your butt when necessary
  • Flat Scare: She tells a very scared Sledge Bro. "Boo" in Odyssey after beating up his Ninjis, causing him to throw her a Power Moon and take off runnig.

Marisa Kirisame

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_90de9ca67ee2d9125600db9a44e7d3b9.png
  • Action Girl: As with many other female characters
  • Berserk Button: Calling her outfit tacky and anything involving Kamek
  • Frickin' Laser Beams: Master Spark and Final Spark
  • Stuff Blowing Up: Her Deep Ecological Bomb
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Develops aquaphobia after the encounter with Kingfin in Galaxy (Remastered) (No thanks to Kamek).      Reimu Harukei

Reimu Harukei

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_413160343401a91d24d8e006d72ffeb4.png
  • Action Girl: As with the other female characters
  • Best Friend: With Princess Peach after Galaxy
  • Berserk Button:
    • If Bowser or anyone else kidnaps Peach
    • Irrationally blames the Kingdom Hearts-verse characters for the mess in Kingdom Battle. It takes Marisa calling her out on it and not wanting to be friends with her to snap her out of it.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Has this exact reaction after getting a What the Hell, Hero? from Marisa in Kingdom Battle.

     Flandre Scarlet

Flandre Scarlet

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/th06flandre.png
  • Berserk Button: Got really ticked off by Esdeath's philosophy of "The strong live and the weak die".
  • Character Catchphrase: "Boo." which she uses to scare people.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Whenever she's in battle, it'll be resolved really quickly
  • Dynamic Entry: In Partners in Time, her impact after coming in for a landing blasts Luigi into the first time hole (due to Reimu already reviving Toadsworth with a 1-Up Mushroom)
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She loves trolling people with her mentally unstable vampire status but will help her friends out no matter what.
  • Troll: Big time. For instance, in the original Galaxy, after confirming she's a vampire to Luigi, she tells him "I want to drink your blood" and the poor guy promptly faints.

     Hong Meiling

Hong Meiling

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/th06meiling.png
  • A Day in the Limelight: In Dream Team, alongside Luigi
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Four times in Dream Team with Luigi and again in Paper Jam to beat Papercraft Bowser
  • Heavy Sleeper: Downplayed as she only shows this in Dream Team and the start of Paper Jam
  • Super-Strength: Very strong and is capable of punching out many foes such as the Zeekeeper and Papercraft Bowser.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Her response to seeing her paper self in Paper Jam guarding the other part of the Scarlet Devil Mansion Gate is to say "...Oh good, a sleeping buddy" and go back to sleep.

     Clownpiece

Clownpiece

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_th15clownpiece.png
  • Big Damn Heroes: In the last part of Dream Team, she saves the heroes from Antasma
  • Heel–Face Turn: In Dream Team, she does one of these with Yukari's help after the latter helps Clownpiece realize that Reimu does care about Clownpiece
  • My God, What Have I Done?: In Dream Team, when she realizes she was never at the shrine when Reimu visted and was trying to get revenge for nothing.

     Yukari Yakumo

Yukari Yakumo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_yukaripcb.png

     Sakuya

Sakuya

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/th06sakuya.png
  • Berserk Button: Do not make fun of her chest size
  • Big Damn Heroes: In Odyssey, she saves Natsu from Esdeath and later on the gang on the moon from Esdeath
  • Cover Innocent Eyes and Ears: Does this to the Emperor in the finale of Chapter 30 after she pincushions Honest with her knives. The Emperor then moves her fingers aside so he can see what happened.
  • Implied Death Threat: In Chapter 30 of Odyssey, she says perhaps she can give the emperor "a little greetings" and to show her where he is.
  • Ninja Maid: She's incredibly acrobatic and skilled with her knives.
  • Oh, Crap!: In Dream Team, when Dreamy Bowser reveals his powers allow him to move during her time stop.
  • Time Master: Her ability allows her to stop time and place knives anywhere she wants.
  • Pintsized Powerhouse: A normal human but her time stopping powers and knife placing abilities makes her one of the most powerful fighters for the heroes.
  • To Win Without Fighting: Stops the fight with Knucklotec by revealing it was Bowser who stole the Binding Band and promises him they'll get it back

     Remilia Scarlet

Remilia Scarlet

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/th06remilia.png

     Cirno

Cirno

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/th06cirno.png
  • An Ice Person: Her main specialty, enough to Perfect Freeze the Puzzle Plank Galaxy in the original Galaxy 2
  • The Cameo: Makes a brief appearance in Super RWBY Sisters where after Yang asks "Who knew that Blizzaurus was nothing more than an idiot?" Weiss wonders "I wonder if all ice fairies are complete idiots?" Afterwards, in the Touhouverse, we see Cirno telling someone "And then I told Reimu that-… hold the phone…" and the person she's talking to asks "What is it, Cirno?" Cirno responds with "I don't know… but I have a gut feeling that someone out there called me a freakin' idiot… and I'm not liking it."
  • Running Gag: In the original Galaxy 2, after she Perfect Freezes the Puzzle Plank Galaxy, she says its new name is the Snowy Plank Galaxy and corrects anyone who refers to it by its first name
  • Took a Level in Badass: Asked Gray for help with her cryogenics the week before Odyssey and completely stomps Ludwig Von Koopa

  • Enemy Mine: Shion teams up with the heroes in Kingdom Battle
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Shion abandons Joon in the ending of Kingdom Battle due to not wanting to hang around such a toxic person anymore

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_luna_child_vfis.png
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_star_sapphire_vfis.png
  • Didn't Think This Through: Sided with Maleficent due to thinking she had cool magic. Daiyousei, Wriggle and Clownpiece spelling out to the trio's faces that Maleficent is evil, namely due to possessing Flandre and the trio were double crossed causes them to come back to the heroes
  • Heel–Face Revolving Door: Start off on Maleficent's side and are easily convinced to come back to the heroes

     Doremy Sweet

Doremy Sweet

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_th15doremy5.png
  • Baku: The kind of youkai she is. Being the ruler of the Dream World, she's strongly associated with dreams and sleep, and her design was inspired by the Malayan tapir, the animal the baku is based on.
  • Character Catchphrase: Zigzagged. In Dream Team, she introduces herself as "I am Doremy Sweet" but doesn't add "The Ruler of Dreams". She also does this once, when she encounters Mario and the gang.
  • Dream Land: Where she lives and rules over. Being a baku, she's noted to be the strongest type of youkai in it.
  • Dream Stealer: Being a baku, a youkai who eats dreams, it's only natural that she can do this.
  • Dream Weaver: Can eat, make, and replace dreams. In fact, her Spell Cards are formed from nightmares and lucid dreams. She admits in Dream Team that she wandered a little too far from her Dream World and was surprised upon meeting up with the gang.

     Youmu Konpaku and Yuyuko

Youmu Konpaku and Yuyuko

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_th07youmu.png
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_yuyukopcb.png
  • Badass Normal: While Youmu's hardly normal, in the sense of being half-ghost, she lacks any of the specific magical powers assigned to most of the cast, making up for it in pure swordsmanship.
  • Battle Butler: Youmu to Yuyuko Saigyouji, the ghost princess.
  • Cheery Pink: Yuyuko's got pink hair plus a cheerful disposition.
  • Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: Youmu to Yuyuko.
  • Cute Ghost Girl: Yuyuko's a pink-haired ghost princess with a very carefree and cheerful personality. For a long time, she was the trope picture
  • Half-Human Hybrid:
    • Youmu is half-human, half-phantom, "phantoms" being the shapeless ghost-lights of the Netherworld, which include but are not limited to the spirits of the dead. Oddly this results in her having two bodies: a mostly-alive human body and a mostly-dead (but corporeal) phantom body. It's not clear whether the Konpaku clan are classified as half-phantoms because their ancestors got stuck between life and death, or because they bred with phantoms (...somehow).
  • Oxymoronic Being: Youmu is half-human and half-ghost.
  • The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything:
    • Youmu's supposed to be Yuyuko's gardener but is depicted more like a bodyguard and servant.
  • Those Two Guys: Are always seen with each other due to being bodyguard and servant.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?:
    • Despite the fact that she serves a ghost and is half one, Youmu is terrified of ghost stories.

     Alice Margatroid

Alice Margatroid

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/th07alice.png
  • Action Bomb: She sends dolls stuffed with gunpowder to blow up in people's faces.
  • Alice Allusion: Aside from the obvious references, her name becomes a Stealth Pun when you remember that she now lives in Gensokyo (since "Gensokyo" literally means "fantasy land"...or "Wonderland", if you will).
  • Ascended Extra: Does a lot more in the stories than in the games as of 2009.
  • Attack Drone: Her dolls do most of the attacking.
  • Berserk Button: In the original Galaxy 2, she really lets Kamek have it over earpiece due to him lying that Marisa was killed by Kingfin.
  • Hyperspace Arsenal: While fighting she seems to use an infinite amount of dolls.

     Eirin Yagokoro

Eirin Yagokoro

Fairy Tail

     Natsu Dragneel

Natsu Dragneel

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/natsu_ft_2018.png
  • Balloon Belly: Gets one after eating Stupendous Stew in Odyssey. Several members of the gang flinging him high in the air and him using a Fire Dragon's Meteor Smash to beat the Ruined Dragon in the next chapter is somehow enough to get him back to normal.
  • Belly Flop Crushing: During the fight against the Ruined Dragon in Odyssey, several members of the gang fling him high in the air where he sets himself alight and uses a Fire Dragon's Meteor Smash to beat the Ruined Dragon and get rid of his Balloon Belly in the process.
  • Bizarre Taste in Food: Loves to eat fire and in Dream Team he didn't think Smoldergeist tasted all that good
  • Berserk Button: Got really mad in Odyssey when he found out Gray was killed by Esdeath.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: On the receiving end from Esdeath in Odyssey.
  • Hot-Blooded: Loves charging into action and getting into battles. He's gotten into trouble more than once because of this.
  • Playing with Fire: His main ability.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Gray
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Was on the receiving end of this in Odyssey after he ruined the New Donk Festival by knocking out Donkey Kong even though it was just a tribute to Mario

     Aquarius

Aquarius the Water-Bearer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/4fe70129e9f3e1e0d82cbef511c41c0c.png
  • Berserk Button: Her default state due to the way she's summoned
  • Making a Splash: Her main ability such as Giant Wave
  • Running Gag: Being summoned in the middle of something, followed by Lucy asking how was she supposed to know that

     Virgo

Virgo the Maiden

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/FT_Virgo_6992.jpg
  • A Day in the Limelight: Does a lot during Dream Team such as holding the parts of the Ultibed in the Celestial Realm
  • Chained by Fashion: Has two chains on her wrists.
  • Character Catchphrase: "You wish to punish me, Princess?"
  • Crazy-Prepared: In Dream Team, she stopped by the Mushroom Kingdom and bought Ultra Hammers which she gives to the Mario Bros after theirs break. Unfortunately, she did so with Lucy's money!
  • Fast Tunneling: Her main ability
  • Running Gag: Summoning herself to aid the heroes or being summoned in place of someone else such as Taurus in Dream Team
  • Super-Strength: Is incredibly strong, enough to help the heroes stop Petey Pirhana in Partners in Time and boot Torkscrew clear out of the sand in Dream Team.
  • Tunnel King: A female example. Her main ability, Diver, allows Virgo to travel underground as simply as swimming in water. With this spell, Virgo can create holes to either trap someone or utilize as an escape method.

     Gray Fullbuster

Gray Fullbuster

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gray_ft_2018.png
  • An Ice Person: His ability
  • Arch-Enemy: Esdeath
  • BFS: Uses a massive ice greatsword to run Esdeath through in the final battle in Odyssey
  • Punch Catch: Does this to Bea in Odyssey when he comes across her repeatedly making and destroying a sand sculpture of Esdeath at Bubblaine.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Natsu

     Juvia

Juvia

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/juvia_2014.png
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Isn't a Stalker with a Crush towards Gray
  • Berserk Button: Harming Gray
  • Love Interest: Towards Gray (one-sided though)
  • Making a Splash: Her main abilities which she can shape into whatever she pleases
  • Too Spicy for Yog-Sothoth: In Odyssey, after getting out of the water in Shiveria and pulling a Power Moon out of a Snow Cheep Cheep, she tells Mei that even though she's made of water and normally doesn't mind cold water, the water in Shiveria is freezing and it's colder than what she's used too. Juvia has to get Pyro to warm her up.

     Cana Alberona

Cana Alberona

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/a2739e9d92c81237754e1657b9c2ea98.png
  • A Day in the Limelight: Takes on and helps kill Luxord in a card duel which has her finding cards of Marisa, Byleth, Dorothea, Mickey, Mokou and Kaguya after Luxord trapped them while making sure she doesn't run out of time.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Loves to drink and will still kick your butt as Luxord found out in ReMind.
  • The Big Guy: Really strong
  • Heavy Drinker: Loves her booze

     Erza Scarlet

Erza Scarlet

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/erza_ft_2018.png
  • Action Girl: Big time
  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: All of her swords can cut through things they normally shouldn't.
  • Armor Is Useless: Downplayed. She has armor and weaponry for any and every occasion, but she often faces enemies whom such edges are useless against. When this happens, she forgoes the armor and enhanced weaponry in favor of focusing on her speed and strength instead.
  • Berserk Button: Harming her friends or her strawberry shortcake as well as Natsu and Gray's stupidity
  • BFS: Several of her outfits come with really big swords.
  • Blade Spam: Her Heaven's Wheel Armor specializes in hurling several blades at her enemies at once.
  • Blow You Away: Her Wind God Armor grants her wind-based powers.
  • Cool Sword: She has far too many of these to count. Some of them even have Elemental Powers.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Her Black Wing Armor and Purgatory Armor are dark and frightening-looking suits of armor, but she only ever dons them to protect her friends.
  • Dual Wielding: She can do this with two BFS's at once.
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: Despite the sheer number of weapons she has, she focuses almost exclusively on swordplay.
  • Impossibly Cool Clothes: Each of her armors come with a distinct look and unique abilities.
  • Instant Costume Change: Can switch between armors in the blink of an eye
  • Multiform Balance: Each and every one of her armors has a quality that counterbalances the other (one maxes her offensive power while another maxes defense, for example).
  • Offscreen Teleportation: Suddenly arrives to block Bowser on the Moon when he still tries to grab Peach even after being thoroughly beaten after he Captured Peach. Lampshaded by Marisa who flat out asks where she came from.
  • Playboy Bunny: Her bunny girl outfit in Dream Team. Doesn't work in catching the bunny she and the gang are after.
  • Shock and Awe: Her Lightning Empress Armor gives her electrical powers.
  • Storm of Blades: Her Heaven's Wheel Armor main offense is summoning and firing multiple swords at once.
  • Tomboyish Ponytail: A few of her armors do this for her, particularly her Black Wing Armor and Clear Heart Clothing.
  • Technicolor Blade: Several of her swords are different colors.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Strawberry shortcake to the point where when she requests one of everything at a Strawberry shortcake shop, the shop is sold out in a few minutes! It later turns out she wanted to set up a picnic for the gang

     Esdeath

Esdeath

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/esdeath_1.jpg
  • Asshole Victim: The Emperor's the only one bothered by her death to the point the surviving Jaegers had a Heel–Face Turn after being shown Esdeath's corpse.
  • Ax-Crazy: She's totally off her rocker.
  • Berserk Button: Being rejected by Tatsumi in the penultimate chapter of Odyssey results in her freezing most everyone on the moon except for Gray, Erza, Bea, Akame, and Flandre.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Crushes Gray, Juvia, Mercy, Mei and Cirno in their first fight and later completely pounds Natsu.
  • Dramatically Missing the Point: Honestly thinks Tatsumi loves her until in the Penultimate chapter of Odyssey when he spells out to her face he doesn't.
  • Kick the Dog: Does this a lot in Odyssey starting with attacking Mercy after she revives Gray during their first "battle".
  • Killed Off for Real/Rasputinian Death How she bites it in Odyssey: Gray runs her through with a massive ice greatsword followed by Bea leaping in and stabbing Esdeath with part of her own ice rapier. Akame then slashes Esdeath with her sword, inflicting the sword's curse onto Esdeath and Flandre makes Esdeath's insides implode by clenching her fist at Esdeath.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Let's see: Kills Gray and attacks Mercy after she brings Gray back, slices off Topper's paw, traps Sakuya, Wendy and Bea with an ice pillar, freezes Natsu except for his head and would have killed him if not for Sakuya, freezes the Phantom Thieves and impales Sakuya, Wendy and Bea, freezes most of the gang on the moon except for Gray, Bea, Flandre, Ezra and Akame and would have killed them after unleashing Mahapdama if Sakuya hadn't shown up.
  • Pet the Dog: Does care for the other Jaegers though evidentially the feeling wasn't mutual given they defect after being shown her dead body. Likewise, after she boots the Broodals from their airship, she takes the Frost-Frosted Cake back to Shiveria and gently sets it down in its original spot going "Easy does it now".
  • Scissors Cuts Rock: Her masterful control over ice enables her to pound Natsu.
  • Signature Laugh: "Hmmhmmhmhmm"
  • Stalker without a Crush: Chases the gang around due to wanting a rematch with Gray.
  • Time Stands Still: Unleashes Mahapdama to freeze Gray, Bea, Akame and Flandre during the battle on the moon but Sakuya stops her from killing anyone.

     The Emperor

The Emperor

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/emperor_akame_ga_kill.png
  • A Child Shall Lead Them: Of his kingdom, though Honest's the one running the show behind the kid's back
  • Big Bad: Though unwittingly and he makes a Heel–Face Turn once he sees how bad his kingdom turned out thanks to Honest
  • Heel–Face Turn: Downplayed, he's not really a bad kid, just being manipulated and easily helps the heroes
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Not executed for Honest's crimes and even gets the honor of having the last words in Odyssey ("Now then, let us rebuild!")

     Night March

Night March

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/todo_night_raid_hd.png

  • Band of Brothers: All very loyal to each other
  • The Ghost: Najenda is mentioned as keeping an eye on the Empire, but never appears
  • Tempting Fate: Leone doesn't think that how Mario and the gang met each other is all that bad and asks Mario herself. She regrets it.

     The Jaegers

The Jaegers

  • Heel–Face Turn: They do this in Odyssey after being presented with Esdeath's corpse in the final chapter
  • Spanner in the Works: Run tells Sakuya about the Emperor being manipulated by Honest and this causes Honest's death

     Seryu

Seryu

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chara_19_2.png
  • Ax-Crazy: Completely insane!
  • Dragon Their Feet: Confronts the team on the moon after Esdeath is killed but is killed herself
  • Killed Off for Real: Gets the Odyssey dropped on her in the penultimate chapter of Odyssey thanks to Gloria's poor flying skills.
  • Oh, Crap!: Right before getting squished by the Odyssey in Spiral Mountain
  • Undying Loyalty: Towards Esdeath

  • Damsel in Distress: For one chapter in the Original Galaxy 2
  • Friend to All Living Things: In the original Galaxy 2, Xion befriends the Pupdozers living at Flipsville Galaxy and is able to get a Power Star from Glamdozer without a fight. • Mythology Gag: In Odyssey, she wears her casual clothes from the end of III

  • Big Bad: Master Xenahort
  • Elemental Powers: Many such as Laraxene's Shock and Awe and Demyx's Making a Splash
  • Graceful Loser: Luxord takes his loss to Cana's group well in ReMind and gives her a Wild Card to use one day as she's earned it.
  • The Mole: In Wrath of Xehanort ReMind, Vexen and Demyx are this for the heroes
  • Sadist: Most of them such as Laraxene and Vanitas are this, not caring about the feelings or lives of others
  • Sinister Scythe: Marluxia's weapon
  • Tempting Fate: Luxord claims he always wins in ReMind while battling Cana. He proceeds to lose.

The Phantom Thieves

  • Action Girl: Makoto, Haru and Futaba
  • Band of Brothers: Very loyal to each other
  • The Big Guy: Ryuji
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: In Odyssey, Futaba takes advantage of Iggy having a Flashback to why he gave his Zappa and Blasta Mechakoopas small knives (because katanas didn't work) to hack his Zappa and Blasta Mechakoopas and turn on him.
  • Disney Death: Futaba in Revenge of the Shadow Queen Remastered, thanks to the Crystal Stars at the end.
  • Mask of Power: How they summon their Personas
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Ryuji delivers an absolutely masterful one to Seryu during their confrontation in Odyssey:
Skull: SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH, YOU FILTHY WHORE!
Seryu: Wh-what did you call me?!
Skull: You heard me! You think you're the keeper of the peace… you think you know what's right. I get that! But you have allowed this to get into your head and caused you to go off the rails, leaving you to do whatever the hell you want! From what I'm heard from this pink haired girl-
Mine: I have a name, ya know! (gets ignored)
Skull: You murdered one of her friends who belonged to this Night Raid… and you shot her in the back with that damn gun in your mouth?! That's not justice… THAT'S STRAIGHT UP COWARDICE! Only the Phantom Thieves of Heart can bring people to justice! We steal people's hearts to turn their life around… but you… there's no saving you. There's no way in HELL that you'll turn your life around even if we steal your heart! Just looking at you… you look like one of those bitches who will shoot at anyone after one of your comrades defeats them in battle… all for what… justice?! Well, guess what, bitch! You want justice? THEN WE'LL FUCKING GIVE IT TO YOU, YOU BITCH!
Panther: Couldn't have said it better myself!
Noir (smirking and cocking her Loch n Load): You know it!
  • Spot Of Tea: Futaba enjoys a cup of tea at a cafe in New Donk City in Odyssey and ends up finding a Moon Shard in said tea and has to pull it out of her mouth.
