The members of Party Crashers, a quartet of very loud and competitive gamers.

In General
- Aerith and Bob: Nick, Brent, and Noah (Sophist's real life name) are very common names in the English language. Vernias' real name on the other hand is Carnig, which is an Armenian name.
- Ambiguously Bi: While the fellas are clearly interested in girls, they've had plenty of "moments" together in their videos. Any ambiguity with Vernias is averted, as he's outright stated to be bisexual.
- Author Appeal:
- Most of the games that the group have played are ones that at least one of the members is already a fan of. Mario Party and Super Smash Bros. are the most obvious examples, as all four of them are big fans of both series. But then you have games such as Dead by Daylight and Lethal Company, which were only previously enjoyed by Brent and Sophist respectively.
- Most of the music that plays in their videos are from games that they enjoy, such as Kirby music in Vernias' videos and Xenoblade Chronicles music in Sophist's videos.
- Author Avatar:
- On Nick's channel, the fellas are represented by animations of their Mario Party Superstars mains imitating Ace Attorney character sprites:
- Nick: Daisy as Phoenix Wright
- Brent: Luigi as Luke Atmey
- Vernias: Birdo as Larry Butz
- Sophist: Wario as Damon Gant
- In "Mario Party but the bonus stars are EVIL", the crew is represented by Exsio Picore's designs of the group from the Party Project mod.
- On Nick's channel, the fellas are represented by animations of their Mario Party Superstars mains imitating Ace Attorney character sprites:
- Ax-Crazy: All four of them have (nonviolently) indulged in this mindset at least once throughout their Mario Party sessions. Nick is especially guilty of this, as he constantly shouts "GET HIS ASS!" or "KILL HIM!" whenever one of them has the opportunity to put another in a bad situation. Sophist also takes on this mindset in Magic the Noah's Dungeons & Dragons-like videos, being a violent mage that attempts to smite anyone he comes across with lightning, particularly lost children.
- Big, Stupid Doodoo-Head: These guys tend to deliver some rather childish insults, such as calling each other "ugly" or "smelly":Vernias: These "playground" insults. God, they're killing me.
- Butt-Monkey: All four of them have ended up as this at least once in Mario Party. Sophist and Vernias are the most obvious examples, as it seems like nearly game they play has it out for them, such as having abismal rolls and constantly getting screwed over in Chance Time. And while Nick and Brent don't get tormented nearly as frequently, they do suffer especially on Mario Party 1's Peach's Birthday Cake and Mario Party 2's Mystery Land respectively.
- Chewing the Scenery: All four of them have their moments of this to varying extents.
- Classical Elements Ensemble: "We became the Avatar in Smash" has the gang assigned specific elements corresponding to the four nations of Avatar: The Last Airbender:
- Color-Coded Characters: Whenever subtitles are involved, they're usually coded to a specific color to indicate who is currently speaking at the moment:
- Brent: Blue on his own channel, Vernias' channel, and Sophist's channel, Green on Nick's channel and the Party Crashers channel, and Yellow on Magic the Noah's channel and their Discord.note
- Nick: Blue on his own channel, the Party Crashers channel, Magic the Noah's channel, and their Discord, Orange on Brent's channel, Yellow on Vernias' channel, and Green on Sophist's channel.
- Vernias: Pink on all six channels and their Discord.note
- Sophist: Purple on all six channels and their Discord.note
- Deadpan Snarker: All four of them have indulged in sarcasm, dry humor, and snide remarks to varying extents.
- Does Not Like Spam: As shown in "There's no way Mario Party can be any more TOXIC...", Brent and Vernias really don't like Dasani water to the point of making it a Censor Box:Brent: Someone in my chat said: "Wash that down with some Dasani water." NO-O-O-O-O-O!
Vernias: (laughs) No, why Dasani?! Eww!
Brent: Yeah, exactly! Why Dasani water, bro?! - Everyone Has Standards: Sophist constantly losing in Mario Party just when it seems he's gonna win has started getting frustrating to everyone.
- Fighter, Mage, Thief: When the fellas appeared in Magic the Noah's Dungeons & Dragons-like videos, Brent filled the tanky Fighter, Nick filled the rogue class (making him the Thief), and Sophist and Vernias filled the Black and White Mages respectively.
- Four-Philosophy Ensemble:
- Brent: Apathetic. Usually finds himself going through the motions on his paths to victory.
- Nick: Realist. Always takes the most logical stance, whether or not they're for the better or worse.
- Vernias: Optimist. Tends to have high hopes for his chances at winning and tries to make the best out of bad situations.
- Sophist: Cynic. Constantly doubts his chances of winning and expects the worst to happen when pitted against other people.
- Four-Temperament Ensemble:
- Brent: Phlegmatic. He's often the most level-headed and strategic in competitions.
- Nick: Choleric. His defining trait is his toxicity and how quick he is to lose his temper.
- Vernias: Sanguine. He generally speaks very loudly and is typically the most optimistic.
- Sophist: Melancholic. Most of what he says ends up having a flair for the dramatic.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: It takes very little to make these guys lose their minds. Nick and Brent are especially guilty of this, as they are the most prone to lose their temper over the most minor of inconveniences. Special mention to "We played EVERY Mario Kart track", where the both of them snap at several times in nearly every race.
- Mundane Made Awesome: These guys have the tendency turn a silly game of Mario Party into a cinematic roller coaster.
- Never My Fault: Very rarely will you see these guys actually take accountability in their mistakes, instead blaming someone else. Nick is especially guilty of this, as he only gets angrier whenever someone calls him out when he screwed up.
- No Indoor Voice: Nick and Vernias tend to shout most of their sentences, though Brent and Sophist aren't too far behind in this department, especially when they're in the middle of a Rage Breaking Point.
- Sanity Slippage: This tends to happen to one or more of them every so often, with them becoming more unhinged from things such as repeated losses, always being targeted to have bad stuff happen to them, or trying not to finish in last place. This usually leads to a Rage Breaking Point if pushed too far.
- Second Place Is for Winners: While they all try to win, Brent is so good at most of the games they play that the others usually resign themselves to playing for 2nd place, with Nick in particular being prone to desperately backstabbing the others just to make sure he doesn't end up in last place.
- Sir Swears-a-Lot: Nick and Brent frequently say "fuck" and "shit" in nearly all of their sentences.
- Terrible Artist: As their skribbl.io and Gartic Phone videos show, these guys are not the best when it comes to art. Justified, as these games give players a very limited amount of time to actually draw anything.
- True Companions: No matter how heated they get in the middle of a game, they're all very good friends and don't actually hate each other. After all, they've played Mario Party together dozens of times. If that can't break their friendship, nothing will.
- Unusual Dysphemism: These guys love to say some rather out-of-pocket things whenever they are given the chance for the sake of comedy. Yes, even Brent from time to time:
- Vitriolic Best Buds: Despite the fact that they constantly insult and scream at each other, all four of them genuinely like each others' presence.
- Would Hurt a Child: Not in real life obviously, but aside from Vernias, the group will constantly joke about beating up children whenever the opportunity presents itself. Special mention to Sophist immediately casting Thunder Spell on a little girl who's just looking for her mother in "I Made A Game Designed To Be Bad".
King of Skill
King of Skill/Brent (born September 14, 1998)
*monkey noises*
The master of mashing and king of monkey noises.- Abandoned Catchphrase: The "Do it again!" Running Gag from Brent's Super Smash Bros. montages hardly gets referenced by the group anymore, likely because Brent himself rarely makes montage videos nowadays.
- The Ace: Brent easily has the highest skill level of the group, as he has won most of their Mario Party sessions by winning most of the minigames and knowing the game's mechanics better than anyone else, gotten 1st place on most of their Mario Kart races, and demolished the others in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with his King K. Rool. With that being said, this only really applies to the Nintendo multiplayer games they play, as he is completely out of his element in other games such as Lethal Company, being just as lost and terrified as the others:Sophist: You see, in the real world, he's a loser. But in-game, we're the losers.
- Achilles' Heel: Luck-based minigames.
- Bowser's Big Blast is a notable example, as he's usually the first one to be eliminated. You could count the amount of times he's won that minigame with your fingers.
- Look Away is another minigame he has a big loss record in, especially as the 1.
- Actually Pretty Funny: Brent is the most likely out of the four to find some humor in the insults he receives. Although, given that Brent is The Hyena of the group, this doesn't come as a surprise.
- Always Someone Better: Discussed in Mario Party 2's Horror Land, where Brent mentions how he learned Mario Party by playing with his mom, leading to the others musing how she could totally whip all of them. Brent never confirms or denies this, but does note that she did get 60 coins on the minigame Cast Aways one time.
- Animal Motifs:
- Monkeys, as he frequently makes monkey noises (usually accompanied by a monkey image or GIF) and often plays as monkeys in video games whenever he's given the option.
- Also sometimes crocodiles, as he is a King K. Rool main in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
- Asian and Nerdy: Brent is an avid gamer, has a college degree in computer science, and he just so happens to be Korean by blood.
- Author Appeal:
- Brent's favorite cartoon is SpongeBob SquarePants, so likewise most of the reaction images he uses in his videos are from the show.
- He also loves Mario & Luigi, Fire Emblem, and Dragon Ball, so he often uses sounds effects and animations from those games and franchises in his videos as a result.
- Bad Impressionist: Played for Laughs. Whenever it is Nick's turn in Mario Party, Brent will repeat Daisy saying her name in an intentionally raspy voice (usually accompanied by a Sock Puppet GIF), much to Nick's annoyance.
- Baritone of Strength: He has one of the deeper voices among the group, and has the highest skill level to back it up, not to mention having bar none the strongest Button Mashing capabilities, making him more likely to win games on pure skill alone.
- Beware the Nice Ones: While Brent is generally more lighthearted than the others, he is not a pushover, and will annihilate you if you keep messing with him. Nick learns this the hard way in "Don't EVER betray me in Mario Party", where Brent swaps the former's 7 Stars with Sophist's 2 via Chance Time as Revenge for betraying him on the minigame Honeycomb Havoc:Brent: Nick, let this be a lesson. If you ever stab me in the back again at Honeycomb Havoc, this is the price you pay, you BALD! PIPLUP! MOTHERFUCKER!
- Big "WHAT?!": It might as well be Brent's catchphrase, as he delivers at least one in nearly every video.
- Born Lucky: The others often joke that nothing bad ever happens to Brent. Whenever something bad does happen to him, one of them will joke that this is the first time it has happened. Brent on the other hand disagrees with them, even making a compilation of his own misfortunes in response.
- Butt-Monkey: Brent tends to end up as this in Magic the Noah's Dungeons & Dragons-like videos as a result of constant low rolls and monsters constantly aiming straight for him due to his role as the team's tank.
- Button Mashing: Brent is by far the best at it, to the point where the others may as well be competing for 2nd on minigames that require mashing. Snow Whirled in particular deserves a mention, as Brent holds the undefeated record of a whopping 9990 degrees. Just listen to his controller!:Sophist: LOOK AT THAT NUMBER, AT THE TOP RIGHT, AND TELL ME WE'RE PASSING THAT ANY DAY THIS YEAR!
- Character Catchphrase: Though unintelligible and varied, Brent loves making monkey noises during the intro and outro, whenever something good happens to him, or whenever a monkey appears in any game they're playing.
- The Chew Toy: Whenever something bad ever happens to Brent in Mario Party, expect the others to be very gleeful about it.
- The Comically Serious: Brent takes every game he plays very seriously, leading to the others often labeling him as a "try-hard" as a result.
- Cool Crown: Whenever he's given the option, Brent's custom avatar in a video game will almost always be wearing a crown, as to fit with the monarchy motif of his YouTuber handle.
- Cool Shades: His Mii wears a pair of shades, as shown in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe videos.
- Courteous Canadian: Brent is the most levelheaded and soft-spoken of the group, he speaks on morals rather than logic, and he just so happens to live in The Great White North.
- Crass Canuck: Expect the the sole Canadian member of the group to be especially toxic whenever he reaches his Rage Breaking Point.
- Cross Player: Brent usually averts this, as he is the least likely out of the four to pick the female character option in a video game, with his mains in Mario Party and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate being Luigi and King K. Rool respectively. With that being said:
- In their Mario Kart 64 video, he plays as Peach, explicitly stating how this is the only game he'll willingly play as her due to having the fastest speed. Toad and Yoshi are tied with Peach in this department, but because those two were already taken by Nick and Vernias respectively, Brent wasn't given much of a choice.
- In their LEGO Fortnite video, his avatar is female.
- Drama Queen: Brent has the tendency to shout and cry at someone else's misfortune in Mario Party as if he just witnessed a murder, such as screaming in absolute terror in "Mario Party 2 Bowser Land is WAY too toxic..." when Nick lands on the Bank Space without any coins to give, causing him to lose a Star.
- Everyone Has Standards: While Brent is no stranger to horror games like Dead by Daylight, he's still rather shaken up from encountering a Bunker Spider in their first Lethal Company video, as he's not accustomed to seeing horrific monstrosities like giant spiders instead of humanoid zombies. As a result, he's very displeased knowing he has to go back into the building to encounter these horrors while looking for treasure.
- Foregone Conclusion: In Mario Party, Brent winning most of the minigames tends to be a very expected outcome, to the point where the others willingly throw in the towel on certain minigames (mainly ones that require Button Mashing) because they know that Brent will win. Brent getting all of the Bonus Stars is also such as a guarantee that the others have to actively strategize around it, even going as far as to call them "Brent Stars".
- Graceful Loser: When Vernias and Sophist win Mario Party 1's Wario's Battle Canyon and Mario Party 3's Woody Woods respectively, Brent takes it rather well, as they've never won those games before.
- The Hyena: Brent is easily amused and tends to cackle loudly almost once a minute. Even when he is screaming his lungs out at someone during a Rage Breaking Point, there are plenty of times where he lets out a laugh or two from the situation, with one large outburst at Vernias in particular resulting in Brent practically dying of laughter and needing a moment to finish his laughing fit:Vernias: You could lock Brent in a rubber room from a mental hospital and he could make himself laugh for hours.
- Hypocrite: In "Mario 3D World is FUN with 4 Players..." and "Sometimes Mario Party wants you to win... or lose...", Brent mocks Graeme and Sophist respectively for questioning hitboxes in video games, which is big talk coming from the same guy who constantly complains about the hitboxes in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
- Insistent Terminology: According to Brent whenever he's spamming out attacks in Super Smash Bros., he's not mashing, he's "applying pressure".
- Ironic Nickname: Discussed in Mario Party 1's Mario's Rainbow Castle when Brent visits the Boo to steal Nick's Star:
- Master of None: Specifically in "Mario Party but we can only get Bonus Stars". While he's normally The Ace of the group, with Nick constantly landing on Red Spaces (giving him the Red Space Bonus) and consistently low rolling (giving him the Slowpoke Bonus), Vernias frequently receiving coins (giving him the Coin Bonus) and continuously landing on Bowser Spaces (giving him the Bowser Space Bonus), and Sophist repeatedly purchasing Triple Dice (giving him the Shopping, Item, and Sightseer Bonuses), Brent couldn't really find a niche for himself:Brent: (after Sophist lands on another Event Space) Oh my God! Stop competing with me in this field too!
Sophist: It's not competing if I'm winning! - Moose and Maple Syrup: Brent lives in The Great White North. Nick loves making fun of this fact, often calling every snow-themed level Brent's hometown and referring to any snowman he sees as one of Brent's family members.
- Nervous Wreck: Out of the four, Brent is the most disturbed seeing the horrific wildlife in Lethal Company, which is ironic given that one of his favourite games is Dead by Daylight.
- Non-Standard Character Design:
- Thanks to Nick changing his profile picture from a Piplup to an image of himself wearing his custom Daisy costume in 2024, Brent is now the only member of the group to not have an original avatar, as his profile picture is simply a render of Reinhardt from Fire Emblem Heroes with a photoshopped smile and crown.
- Before the Party Project custom avatars from Exsio Picore were made, the crew installed mods that changed the sprites of certain avatars into different characters. This includes Piplup for Nick, Eevee for Sophist, and Kirby for Vernias, who are all Ridiculously Cute Critters. Brent on the other hand played as Kazuya Mishima from Tekken.
- Oh, Crap!: Brent tends to emit loud high-pitched yelps whenever he's about to get hit by a really strong attack in any game he plays, especially in more fast-paced games such as Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros..
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business:
- In "Mario Party but SECOND Wins", Brent roasts Sophist so hard for being in last place that even Nick is taken aback from it, to the point of calling him out as toxic:Brent: I've become the very thing I swore to destroy, bro!
Nick: Yeah, toxic Brent. Literally "King of Toxicity". - In both of their UNO videos, Brent is so annoyed at having to spend so much time setting up the game that he doesn't even want to make monkey noises during the intro:Brent: I'm so mad, I don't even wanna make monkey noises right now.
Nick: (laughs) Wow, that's actually a testament, Brent.
- In "Mario Party but SECOND Wins", Brent roasts Sophist so hard for being in last place that even Nick is taken aback from it, to the point of calling him out as toxic:
- The Pig-Pen: The others often claim that Brent never showers and smells really bad as a result:Vernias: I don't believe K. Rool players bath all that often. I think the concept is foreign to them.
- Screams Like a Little Girl: Brent frequently belts out Tom and Jerry-esque shrieks of terror in their Lethal Company videos due to him being easily spooked by the many monsters in the game.
- The Strategist: Brent mitigates his mixed luck at Mario Party with an encyclopedic knowledge of the game's mechanics.
- Take That!:
- Brent has quite the dislike towards Paper Mario: Color Splash, so likewise he tends to edit the game's box art into bad situations in his videos, such as using it as a substitute for "shit" in the subtitles for example:Sophist: (rolls a 1) What the (insert image of the Color Splash box art) is this?!
- He's also not very fond of the laggy online gameplay of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, showing its loading animation whenever a game is lagging.
- Brent has quite the dislike towards Paper Mario: Color Splash, so likewise he tends to edit the game's box art into bad situations in his videos, such as using it as a substitute for "shit" in the subtitles for example:
- Unluckily Lucky: Brent's luck tends to be rather mixed, especially compared to Nick, Sophist and Vernias. While he generally wins most Mario Party games by winning most of the minigames and knowing the game's mechanics, he tends to get hit with misfortunes every now and then, mainly luck-based minigames such as Bowser's Big Blast.
- Willfully Weak: In their Dead by Daylight video, Brent goes perkless with the in-game abilities for killers and survivors because he's the only member of the group to have played the game before. Despite this, Brent still does the best out of the four, getting all 3 kills on his turn as the killer, compared to Nick and Sophist's 1 kill each and Vernias' 0 on their turns, as well as escaping the others on each of their turns.
- You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: Brent usually responds to unfortunate situations with a loud "BRUH!", "REALLY?!", or "SERIOUSLY?!"
TCNick3
TCNick3/Nick/Nicolas (born August 3, 1998)
"Imagine being in last place with zero stars!"
The loudest and most toxic Chilean man you'll ever meet.- Abandoned Catchphrase: In their early Mario Party videos, Nick would sarcastically tell the others to "take their time" whenever they had to think about their next move. Nowadays, you'd be hard-pressed to find him saying this in any Mario Party session after the Party Crashers channel had been created, likely because Nick himself tends to take just as long (if not longer) to make up his decisions, something both him and Brent even lampshade in "Ranking EVERY Party Crashers joke":Nick: I don't say that as much anymore.
Brent: Yeah, it's because you take all the fucking time now! - Animal Motif: Penguins, as he used to have a Piplup as his profile picture◊, with the others usually representing Nick's dialogue with a fitting Piplup image or GIF in their videos. Brent in particular loves making fun of this fact whenever penguins are around, even after he changed his profile picture:Brent: Guys, look! It's TCNick3!
- The Artifact: Nick's dialogue being represented by Piplup images has become this, as he no longer has Piplup as his profile picture.
- Author Appeal: Nick is a big fan of Ace Attorney, so likewise he represents himself, the other Party Crashers, and even the editor as characters from those games in his videos.
- Berserk Button:
- As shown in "Mario Party but we can only STEAL Stars", Nick is not very fond of Brent's impressions of Daisy, to say the least:Daisy: Daisy!
Nick: Daisy!
Brent: dAiSy!
Nick: STOP, BRENT!
(Brent and Vernias burst out laughing)
Nick: IT'S NOT! FUNNY! - As shown in "The most BRUTAL Board in Mario Party 1...", Nick has a strong dislike over the color brown, to the point where he almost steals a Star from Brent solely for guessing it as the color of Nick's sweater:Nick: I wanna steal from you Brent just for guessing that shit color! That is my least favorite!
- As shown in "These animations went too far...", Nick hates being represented as Piplup because he doesn't like being depicted as shorter than the others:Nick: Listen, he's a funny guy, but I like being depicted as fucking jacked and huge. I hate being smaller than everyone! [...] I like being Daisy, I like being Lucina, and I like being me! But not Piplup, he's just a little guy.
- As shown in "Mario Party but we can only STEAL Stars", Nick is not very fond of Brent's impressions of Daisy, to say the least:
- Big "SHUT UP!": Nick is prone to delivering one of these (alongside a Precision F-Strike) whenever he's sent over the edge, such as when Brent starts making fun of him for placing 2nd place on Baby Park despite being in 1st place for the majority of the race in "We played EVERY Mario Kart track":Brent: You shoulda done tighter drifts, buddy!
Nick: SHUT THE FUCK UP! I HATE YOU! - Born Lucky: In Mario Party, Nick has ridiculous luck with Hidden Blocks, especially ones with Stars, in which he calls "Skill Blocks". It got to a point where in "Mario Party but we can't be TOXIC", he outright planned and correctly predicted where a Hidden Block would be before he landed on it. And if he is currently in 3rd or 4th, he will almost always gets the pity reward during the last 5 turns intermission, even if he's 2 Stars ahead of someone who has 0 for instance. Just to rub salt into the wound, he argues that he's just skilled, not lucky.
- Butt-Monkey: Nick tends to get hit with this whenever the fellas play Mario Kart due to being less skilled and experienced than the others. This is best exemplified in their Mario Kart: Double Dash!! video, where he not only frequently places last amongst the group, but he also unintentionally clips through the ground on Yoshi Circuit, after which he respawns right in front of the finish line and doesn't move on to the next lap after crossing it.
- Character Catchphrase:
- He loves saying "Imagine [insert unfortunate situation here], that's embarrassing!" whenever someone is in a worse scenario than him. One variation in particular, "Imagine being in last place with zero stars!", pops up enough to be a catchphrase all on its own.
- He tends to yell "YEAHHHH, BABY!" (similarly to Cr1TiKaL) whenever something good happens to him.
- He's prone to shouting "I don't wanna hear it!" whenever someone criticizes him for something.
- The Chew Toy: Given that Nick tends to be the most toxic out of the four, the others get rather delighted whenever karma comes back to bite him, something Nick even lampshades in "Mario Party 2 brings out the worst in you..." when Vernias obtains the Bowser Bomb from the Item Minigame while Nick is near Baby Bowser:Nick: No, it's 'cause I'm the victim that it's funny! Ha ha.
- Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Nick will almost always betray someone at any given opportunity, even when there's no advantage to doing so.
- Chubby Chaser: Played for Laughs. Nick can't help but point out Wario's "cake" when given the chance:Nick: Dude, the Wario "dump truck"! Please stop, I can't be seeing that every time!
- Closet Geek: For a guy who makes fun of the others for being massive nerds, Nick has surprisingly extensive knowledge of songs made by The Beatles, being able to name 76 of them from memory in under eight minutes in their first Sporcle video.
- Combat Pragmatist: Nick apparently has a long history of doing anything to win competitions, and this carries over into his gaming playstyle.
- Contrasting Replacement Character: Because Daisy isn't playable in the first two N64 Mario Party titles, Nick instead plays as Donkey Kong. The differences between the two characters is that Daisy is a small, energetic princess, while DK is a big, laid-back gorilla.
- Cool Shades: His new profile picture in 2024 has him sporting these. His Mii also has these, as shown in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe videos.
- Cross Player:
- In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, he is a Lucina main.
- In Super Mario Bros. Spin-Off games, his signature character is Daisy.
- In their Super Mario 3D World playthrough, Nick (unwillingly) plays as Peach for the first level.
- In their LEGO Fortnite video, he uses the default female avatar.
- In their Monopoly video, he plays as a cavewoman.
- Dirty Coward: In Lethal Company, Nick refuses to be left alone, but will flee the moment danger occurs to save his own skin.
- Evil Is Petty: Nick is the most likely out of the group to deliberately screw over whoever is in 3rd or 4th place just to guarantee he doesn't end up in dead last.
- Foreign Cuss Word: Nick is prone to shouting "¡Ay, puta!" and to a lesser extent "¡Conchetumare!" whenever he's angry.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: Out of the four, Nick tends to get the most flak due to his relentless toxicity provoking the others often.
- Fun with Acronyms: Subverted. Nick has admitted that the "T" and "C" in "TCNick3" don't actually stand for anything, he just thought that those two letters sounded cool together. That doesn't stop the others from poking fun at what the letters could mean though, such as T being "The" or "Toxic" and C being "Carried" or "Cringe".
- The Gadfly: Not as much as Sophist, but Nick also gets a lot of enjoyment from irritating the others. This is especially true with Vernias, with him even admitting in "This Mario Party Game turned VIOLENT" that hurting the latter's feelings is almost always entertaining for him:Nick: I'll take any excuse to hurt Vernias' feelings, bro! I'll take it!
- Gag Penis: Whenever he's doing really well, he has the tendency to proclaim that his "weiner" is huge, even referring to high dice rolls as "big dick rolls". The others seemed to have picked up on this.
- Gay Bravado: Nick constantly makes raunchy innuendos and daring the others to kiss him. Even the editors find themselves questioning "WHY IS NICK SO SUS!?"
- Graceful Loser: As long as he doesn't end in last place, Nick will be perfectly content taking 2nd or 3rd place:Vernias: You love going home to your mom and telling her how much you love getting third place in Mario Party minigames.
- Gratuitous Spanish: From time to time, Nick will say Spanish phrases such as "puta la wea" or "vamos".
- The Hyena: Not as much as Brent, but Nick also has his moments of hilarity, such as laughing for over 20 seconds straight after Sophist accidently throws the team minigame Desert Dash with Brent in "Mario Party 1 brings out the worst in you...".
- Hypocrite:
- In "The WORST Board in Mario Party 1...", Nick berates Brent for being a "Puppet Master" trying to control the others for his own gain, which is big talk coming from the same guy who will gladly gaslight the others into not stealing from him whenever they visit a Boo while he's currently in 1st place.
- In "Mario Party but there's only ONE star", Nick slut-shames Brent and Sophist for playing as Donkey Kong and Rosalina instead of their usuals mains Luigi and Wario respectively. Cut to Mario Party 6's Snowflake Lake one month later, where Nick decides to play as Boo instead of his go-to character Daisy.
- Iconic Outfit: His orange tuxedo◊ based on Princess Daisy, his favorite Mario character.
- Ignorant of Their Own Ignorance: If Nick sees a Mario character that he doesn't recognize, he'll just assume that they're an original character made up specifically for the game without having any evidence to back up his claim. Case in point, he calls Peachette a "Mario Kart OC" in "We're never playing Mario Kart again after this...", despite the fact that she first appeared in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe as Toadette's form after aquiring the Super Crown.
- Insistent Terminology:
- In Mario Party, Nick refers to Hidden Blocks as "Hidden Dice Blocks". He also tends to call Hidden Blocks that contain Stars "Skill Blocks":Nick: It's the "Skill Block", Brent, call it by the right name.
- He's prone to calling Monty Moles "Goombas", stating how he doesn't respect them enough to call them by their proper names.
- In their second Overcooked! 2 video, Nick repeatedly corrects the others whenever they refer to tortillas as bread.
- In Mario Party, Nick refers to Hidden Blocks as "Hidden Dice Blocks". He also tends to call Hidden Blocks that contain Stars "Skill Blocks":
- Karma Houdini: There have been times where Nick will be exceedingly toxic throughout an entire game of Mario Party, yet still ends up winning the whole thing by a landslide, leading to Sophist joking that Nick's key to success was to "play like a snake".
- Laser-Guided Karma: If Nick is acting toxic, expect it to come back to bite him somehow. He even lampshades this in "Mario Party Superstars is TOXIC", grumbling about how he has to be nice to everyone or else bad things will happen to him:Nick: This game has so much karma in it. Gosh, I have to be nice to everyone all the time.
- Laziness Callout: When playing 1-vs-3 minigames in Mario Party, Nick often relies on his teammates to carry him to victory, something the others call him out on regularly, to the point where they claim that the "C" in his username actually stands for "Carried":Brent: Dude, Nick, you did nothing! It's like Eevee said, all you do is get carried!
- The Load: Nick easily has the lowest skill level of the group, so as such he tends to be extremely unhelpful in team minigames, almost always being the first one to be eliminated in 1-vs-3 minigames and getting carried by his teammates as a result. Even in other games he's still of no assistance, as he does nothing but sit back and let his teammate do all of the work, such as in the Mario Kart: Double Dash!! 2-vs-2 video and their fourth Sporcle video.
- Manipulative Bastard: In Mario Party, Nick thrives on gaslighting the others into doing his bidding in order to better his chances of winning, such as convincing them into not stealing from him whenever they visit the Boo while he's currently in 1st place. This is best exemplified in "an average game of Mario Party", where he convinces Brent into doing a gameshow to decide who gets their Star stolen between Nick and Vernias instead of just choosing Nick outright.
- Nerds Are Virgins: Nick is prone to calling the others "giga virgins" and telling them to "go outside" whenever he's losing in a video game.
- Screams Like a Little Girl:
- In their first Lethal Company video, Nick makes a loud Homer Simpson-esque scream upon seeing a Bunker Spider approaching him.
- In "we bet money on Mario Party CPUs", Nick makes a high-pitched scream when his Daisy CPU duels Vernias' Toad CPU and puts her recently purchased Star on the line.
- Signature Laugh: Nick has a very distinctive high-pitched laugh.
- Significant Wardrobe Shift: In 2024, Nick changed his profile picture from the Piplup avatar he's well known for in the past 5 years to a picture of himself in his custom Daisy costume. He explains in this community post that, though the Piplup image is iconic, he wanted an original avatar that better represents him, distancing himself from some random Pokémon character.
- Slut-Shaming: Played for Laughs. Nick will jokingly call the others "sluts" whenever the opportunity presents itself, such as doing so towards Vernias in their first Mario Golf 64 video for also being a member of Sidequest Party, another Let's Play group channel:Vernias: Wait, how do you change the club?
Sophist: Of course you'd want to go on a different club, probably wanna go to Sidequest or something... traitor.
Nick: (laughs) No, he's not a traitor, he's a fucking slut, that's what he is for being in two different groups! - Sore Loser: Downplayed. While he tends to be rather salty whenever he ends up in dead last, he's perfectly content with getting 2nd or 3rd, averting the Second Place Is for Losers trope.
- Spicy Latina: Gender-Inverted. Nick thinks he is very attractivenote , he's the most temperamental of the group, and he just so happens to be Chilean.
- Spiders Are Scary: If him screaming at the top of his lungs upon seeing the Bunker Spider in Lethal Company is anything to go by...
- Take That, Audience!: There have been multiple cases where Nick would make fun of the viewers of the other Party Crashers. This is especially true with fans of Brent, as shown in their Super Mario 3D World playthrough:Brent: Kingdom of Skill? So, wait, if this boss [Hisstocrat] is me, does that mean these guys are the members of the
Nick: Oh my gosh, that actually makes sense, they're all worms as well!
(Brent bursts out laughing)
Vernias: We have to be nicer our rivaling nations.
Nick: NO! They're not nice to me! You know what? Fuck 'em! - Troll: Not as much as Sophist, but Nick also has his moments of trolling, such as taking a generator to make more monsters spawn while Brent and Sophist were still in the building in their first Lethal Company video.
- Unsportsmanlike Gloating: His defining character trait. Nick is incredibly toxic and prone to mocking the other players, albeit all in good fun.
- Unusual Euphemism: Nick often refers to dicks as "wieners" and butts as "cakes".
- We Win, Because You Didn't: If Nick isn't in 1st place, he will gladly mock whoever is in a worse position than him.
Vernias
Vernias/Vern/Carnig (born February 21, 2001)
"Perfect rotation!"
The most uplifting pink fellow and biggest punching bag.- Amusingly Awful Aim: The Mario Party minigame Archer-ival tends to be a recurring Achilles' Heel for Vernias, as he almost always loses as the 1. There was even one time in "Mario Party 2 brings out the worst in you...", where he misses a perfectly still Brent not once, but twice:Nick: I thought Brent was trolling at first, but then I saw those shots.
- At Least I Admit It: He is the most likely out of the four to actually admit when he messed up and owns up to his mistake.
- The Baby of the Bunch: Vernias is the youngest of the group, which is often a point of mockery from the others, even stating how as a "zoomer" he naturally struggles with older games.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Once he's really riled up after too much misfortune, expect him to drop his Gosh Darn It to Heck! attribute and let out some surprisingly vicious retaliation roasts to the others when they try to roast him.
- Big "NO!": As shown in "They tried ruining my birthday in Mario Party...", no one can yell louder than him when bad luck comes along to ruin his chances of victory.
- Born Unlucky: Things constantly go wrong for Vernias in nearly every game of Mario Party, with detrimental random options such as Cursed Dice or Boo almost always targeting him, especially when Sophist selects it.
- Break the Cutie: Given that Vernias is the youngest and most optimistic of the group, as well as how he typically plays as more cute characters, he can easily fall into this whenever he's getting screwed over in Mario Party.
- Butt-Monkey: Vernias tends to be the main target for insults from the group, with the others often making jokes at his expense. The fact that his go-to character in Super Mario Bros. Spin-Off titles is Birdo certainly doesn't help, as the others absolutely despise her presence. Even when he's not playing with the Party Crashers, he still gets regularly mocked when playing with Sidequest Party or KirbyKid, HarryBook, and Dukerino (the group he typically plays multiplayer Kirby games with).
- Cathartic Scream: Vernias tends to be really vocal when he's doing well, especially when he wins. His elated cheers are frequently compared to a Dragon Ball character powering up.
- Character Catchphrase:
- He loves saying "Yipee!" whenever something good happens to him.
- He's prone to saying "Cry about it!" as a way to taunt the others.
- He's tends to shout "His ass is not listening!" whenever someone misses critical information.
- Cheery Pink: He's easily the most cheerful of the group and is heavily associated with the color pink, as it's his favorite color.
- Color Motif: Pink, as both his YouTube banner and profile picture prominently feature the color, with part of his avatar's hair even being dyed pink.
- Cross Player:
- In Super Mario Bros. Spin-Off games, his go-to character is Birdo.
- In "I Hired a SECRET Assassin in Mario Party", he (unwillingly) plays as Peach.
- In Mario Party 6 and Mario Party 7, he plays as Toadette due to Birdo not being playable in the former and not being unlocked yet in the latter.
- In ''We're never playing Mario Kart again after this...", he plays as Pauline.
- In "We RACED in Mario Wonder", he plays as Toadette.
- In Overcooked! 2, he plays as the mouse (who is female).
- Didn't Think This Through: From wasting Custom Dice to not knowing how Reverse Mushrooms work, Vernias is far from The Strategist in the group's Mario Party sessions, goofing up in the face of the others telling him not to proceed with his reckless plans. Though to his credit, he will own up to his mistakes.
- The Dog Bites Back: While Vernias usually tends to be the Butt-Monkey of the group, pushing him too far tends to lead to a lot of salt. Case in point, his response when Sophist decides to rub salt in the wound after getting lagged out of a victory in "Mario Party brings out the worst in you...":Sophist: It lagged us all equally. If you were just good enough-
Vernias: (mocking noises) YOU'RE IN LAST PLACE, CRY, SOB!
(Nick and Brent burst out laughing)
Vernias: WHO ARE YOU TO TALK?! YOUR PEDESTAL IS ON THE BOTTOM! - Embarrassing Nickname: As shown in their second UNO video, Vernias does not like the nickname "Verny":Brent: Why would you do this, Verny?
(Beat)
Vernias: ...Shut up.
(Brent and Nick burst out laughing)
Nick: Dude, that is such a "Vernias" nickname, though!
Vernias: I hate that nickname! - Everybody Hates Mathematics: Vernias has shown on numerous occasions that he's not very good at counting, let alone basic math. It's no surprise that he ends up being one of the first ones eliminated in "RPG, But Math Is the Combat System".
- Gaslighting: Whenever there's no clear winner decided in Mario Party, Vernias has been susceptible in being swayed and influenced by the others. This has earned him the scorn of Nick, Sophist, and even Brent on multiple occasions.
- Gosh Darn It to Heck!: Vernias tends to substitute his swear words for more family friendly ones, such as "frick" or "fudge" in place of "fuck". At least that is until he's angry enough, in which he'll start using more vulgar language. Case in point, his retort towards Nick for throwing the co-op minigame Running of the Bulb to prevent Sophist from getting enough coins to steal a Star from Brent, leading to Brent taking the lead over Vernias in "The WORST Board in Mario Party 1...":Vernias: IT'S ALL YOUR FUCKING FAULT, NICK!
- Hypocrite:
- In "Mario Party 2 is more TOXIC than I remember....", Vernias gets rather upset at Brent for accidentally landing on the Event Space that causes the train to knock him back to the start, despite the fact that he was rather amused at the possibility of him doing that to Brent earlier when he had the chance. Brent naturally calls him out on this while editing in the video:Vernias: Brent is the person who's trying to constantly cause my downfall. I don't like you, man.
Brent: Dude, I didn't mean to step on that!
Vernias: Yeah, you didn’t mean to run me over with a train. Oopsie, oopsie.
(video flashes back)
Brent: Yeah, if you hit the Goomba, it would have went backwards and you would have hit me.
Vernias: That would have been infinitely funnier honestly. - In "I got bullied in Mario Party 2...", Vernias berates Nick and Sophist for always targeting each other instead of Brent, despite the fact that he was perfectly on board ganging up on Nick while they were all right next to the Boo earlier, something that was suggested by Brent no less. Nick naturally calls him out on this:Nick: Vernias! No, you literally were so on board, so ready to take 3 Stars from me, Vernias! I don't wanna HEAR IT!
Brent naturally calls him out on this while editing in the video:
- The Jinx: The entire punchline behind the "Vern Virus", being that Vernias' bad luck is somehow contagious, causing the others to receive bad dice rolls by being near him.
- Large Ham: Vernias' energetic personality, lack of an indoor voice, and tendency to Emphasize EVERYTHING, make him come off as very hammy:Vernias: LAUGH AT THEM! LAUGH AT THEM! YEAH, HIT 'EM WITH THE UH! UH! UH! YEEEAAAAHHH!
- Only One Finds It Fun: Out of the four, Vernias is the only one who has any positive thoughts on Birdo because she's pink and he finds her Vacuum Mouth character design to be very unique and interesting, in contrast to Nick, Sophist, and even Brent, who all collectively despise Birdo.
- Only Sane Man: He tries to be this in Magic the Noah's Dungeons & Dragons-like videos, always picking the morally positive actions, showing disgust at the others' more outlandish plans (such as Nick wanting to perform an Ass Shove kill), and just trying to go along with things Noah had planned. Keyword is "tries", as Sophist usually tears everything to shreds before he could do anything.
- Real Men Wear Pink: Vernias prides himself on having pink as his favorite color, as he often wears pink clothes, usually picks pink characters in any game he plays, and even dyed his hair pink at one point.
- Rule of Cute: Vernias has a tendency for picking characters with cute designs, to which the others will describe them as being the "most Vernias character ever":Vernias: I can't be a unicorn in freaking peace!
- Signature Headgear: His trademark pink beanie◊.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Vernias loves Kirby, but because the character isn't in Mario Party, he instead plays as Birdo who is also pink and has a Vacuum Mouth. If she isn't playable, he will play as Toadette who is also pink and short like Kirby. If neither of them are playable, he will opt for Yoshi who just like Kirby is also a Big Eater and a Ridiculously Cute Critter.
- Took a Level in Badass: Vernias was previously known as the group's Butt-Monkey, constantly being plagued by bad luck and rarely getting wins. However, once he learned the timing on Chance Time, he has started winning many more Mario Party games, being able to manipulate Chance Time in his favor. One such example is in "Mario Party but last place MAKES THE RULES", where despite being in last place on the final turn, Vernias still ends up winning the whole game by stealing a Star via Chance Time and being awarded the one Bonus Star he needed to overtake Brent in 1st place, as he had more coins.
Sophist
Sophist/Sophisticated Eevee/Eevee/Noah (born September 20, 1997)
"I cast Thunder Spell!"
The bringer of chaos and self-proclaimed villain of Party Crashers.- The Ace: Specifically with GameCube games, as when it comes to games released on that console in particular, Sophist gains the ability to steamroll the others. This is best examplified by their Mario Kart: Double Dash!! video, where he's not only able to maintain a close distance to Brent whenever the latter was in 1st place, but he also proceeds to crush the competition on the Bob-omb Blast Battle Mode. He's also proven to be perfectly capable at carrying his teammates in the 2-vs-2 video, as even when he's paired up with Nick, he still easily wins races without much trouble.
- Achilles' Heel: Button-mashing minigames. Though none can compare to Brent's mashing, Sophist has gotten last place so many times in these that he’s often seen as The Load by the others.
- Arch-Enemy: To Vernias, at least early on. In most of Sophist's efforts to bring chaos to the Mario Party games they played, Vernias would almost always be singled out, as he would have the misfortune to constantly be selected in Sophist's random picks via Cursed Dice or Boo, to which even Brent and Nick felt bad for Vernias. As time has went on however, Vernias stopped being his solo target, with Sophist either being an equal-opportunity troll or the one who constantly gets the short end of the stick.
- Artifact Name: His username used to be "Sophisticated Eevee", so his friends would naturally refer to him as simply "Eevee" for short. However, he has since shortened his username to just "Sophist", effectively dropping the Eevee subname. He explains in this tweet that he did this to make himself more unique and recognizable, distancing himself from some random Pokémon character. But despite this name change, the others still frequently refer to him as "Eevee" to this day.
- Badass Cape: His avatar wears a long and wavy purple cape.
- Beard of Evil: Given that his avatar is a Card-Carrying Villain, it's only fitting.
- Born Unlucky: Sophist has shown to be extremely unlucky in Mario Party, as he tends to undergo bad dice rolls and getting screwed over in Chance Time.
- Butt-Monkey: Thanks to Vernias Taking a Level in Badass, Sophist has become the main punching bag in the group's Mario Party sessions, constantly getting snuffed from a victory on numerous occasions due to someone else winning the game through Bonus Stars.
- Button Mashing: Sophist is just about unbeatable on the Mario Party minigame Mario's Puzzle Party, frequently destroying the competition before even Brent has time to process the scoring combos he's achieving.
- Card-Carrying Villain: His avatar is a supervillain and he often leans into this role for his own entertainment.
- Character Catchphrase: He says "To the surprise of (absolutely) nobody!" whenever something predictable happens, such as whenever he suffers some sort of bad luck or whenever Brent wins a minigame for example.
- Color Motif: Purple, as both his YouTube banner and profile picture prominently feature the color, with his avatar even sporting a suit entirely in purple.
- Contrasting Replacement Character: Sophist's secondary in Mario Party Superstars after Wario is Rosalina. The differences between the two characters is that Wario is a short, loud, and rude fat man, while Rosalina is a tall, quiet, and polite skinny lady.
- Cool Mask: His avatar wears a purple eye mask with a purple jewel on it.
- Cross Player: Sophist is the most likely out of the four to pick the female character option in a video game, which isn't very surprising given that he has admitted of being a weeb:
- In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, he is a Zelda main.
- In Mario Party Superstars, he uses Rosalina as his secondary behind Wario.note
- In Mario Party 1's Peach's Birthday Cake and Mario Party 2's Horror Land, he plays as Peach.
- In Mario Party 6's Snowflake Lake, he finally gets to play as Daisy, as Nick decides to play as Boo.
- In their Mario Kart Wii video, he plays as Rosalina.
- In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Sophist can finally play as Daisy without having to worry about Nick, as online lobbies allow players to use the same character at the same time.
- In "We Played EVERY Mario Kart Battle Mode", he plays as Isabelle.
- In "We played EVERY Mario Kart track", he plays as Peachette.
- In Mario Golf 64, he plays as Plum.
- In their Mario Tennis 64 video, he plays as Peach during the second match.
- In their Super Mario 3D World playthrough, he plays as Peach and later on Rosalina.
- In "We RACED in Mario Wonder", he plays as Peach.
- In their Dokapon Kingdom video, his avatar is an "anime lady", as Nick puts it.
- In their Party Panic video, his avatar is a "hot anime girl", as he puts it.
- Everyone Has Standards: In their first Gartic Phone video, Sophist receives a prompt to draw himself peeing on Vernias and was less than pleased to commit to it:Sophist: Guys... Guys...
Vernias: What?
Sophist: No, it's just... it's just why? - The Friend Nobody Likes: Not as much as Nick, but Sophist tends to get a good amount of flak as well due to his chaos-thriving nature often screwing over the others.
- The Gadfly: Sophist takes a lot of joy from riling up the others. Case in point, when he visits the Boo while Vernias was right behind him in "I got bullied in Mario Party 2...":Vernias: So, Eevee, if you steal from me I'll just steal it back-
Sophist: Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey. (immediately steals a Star from Vernias)
Vernias: I'M GONNA STEAL IT BACK FROM YOU!
Sophist: (sounding more giddy than ever) I don't care!
Vernias: YOU'RE SO UNINTELLIGENT! LEECHES HAVE ZERO BRAIN CELLS!
Sophist: You be saying that, but I don't care! - A God Am I: As shown in "Mario Party but it's Simon Says 2", Sophist clearly enjoys being Simon a little too much:Nick: (after skipping past Sophist's rules for Chance Time) Suck my nuts, Eevee! This is my video now!
(Nick fails to gain a Star from Chance Time, instead giving Brent's Star to Vernias)
Sophist: And that's what you get for defying GOD! - Home Field Advantage: The only way to explain what happened in Mario Party 6's Snowflake Lake, as while Sophist is usually the group's Butt-Monkey in their Mario Party sessions, Mario Party 6 is the one game he has extensive knowledge of due to it being his favorite entry in the series. As a result, he dunks on the crew so hard that the video is simply titled "Sophist destroyed us lmao".
- Hypocrite: In "Mario Party 3 broke us all...", Sophist berates Vernias for wanting to pick Random when visiting the Boo, which is big talk coming from the same guy who picks Random at almost every chance he gets.
- Iconic Outfit: His signature purple suit.
- Insistent Terminology: In their LEGO Fortnite video, Sophist gets rather irritated when Vernias doesn't call his fedora a top hat:Nick: Without any indication as to who's who, can anyone guess which avatar belongs to which creator?
Sophist: Well, I guess mine is pretty straightforward as well.
Vernias: It's definitely the fedora that gives it away.
Sophist: That is not a fedora, that is a very small top hat! - Introverted Cat Person: He owns a cat named Muffins.
- It Amused Me: Sophist's main motivation of being the Wild Card and Troll of the group, stating how it's "for the content".
- The Jinx: Discussed in "Mario Party is fair and balanced", where Nick theorizes that Sophist's luck is so bad that it cancels out other people's good luck when teamed up with him:Nick: Eevee's bad luck is so strong, it cancels out Brent's good luck.
- Know When to Fold 'Em: In Mario Party, Sophist will pretty much give up on any minigames that require Button Mashing because he knows that Brent will just mash for his life and instantly get the top score.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Sophist often "rocks the boat" by choosing to be chaotic without gain in Mario Party, which usually comes back to bite him, making it so no one else but him suffers any loss. Though to his credit, Sophist will be a good sport about it and admit that he deserved it.
- The Leader: Sophist has the most experience with Lethal Company out of the four, so as such he is the one who frequently gives the team tips on how to play the game properly.
- The Load: Sophist is often seen as this by the others in Mario Party team minigames, despite the fact he has carried them on numerous occasions.
- The Millstone: Most of the random chaos and misfortune the group goes through can be traced back to this guy.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: Sophist has the tendency of acting intentionally oblivious for the sake of bringing others down with him. This is best exemplified in "Mario Party 2 brings out the worst in you...", where he is visibly shown to not be mashing against Brent on the minigame Crane Game, with him saying that he's mashing the B Button, when he's intended to be mashing the A Button, much to Nick and Vernias' frustration. It isn't until after he's eliminated when he admits that he was mashing the B Button on purpose so he could go get some snacks while Nick was occupied.
- Random Number God: Sophist tends to rely on this in Mario Party, almost always picking random options whenever he can, stating how "it's the spirit of Mario Party". It got to a point where in "I Tried to make Mario Party as RANDOM as Possible", Sophist tries running all of his moves via random number generator without letting the others know. This resulted in a lot of chaos from screwing over everyone in the group, including Sophist himself.
- Screams Like a Little Girl: In their second Pummel Party video, Sophist does a high-pitched scream when he thinks a rocket is about to hit him.
- Shock and Awe: In Magic the Noah's Dungeons & Dragons-like videos, Sophist tends to cast Thunder Spell if he wants to solve any problem, such as whenever there is a small child in his way.
- Signature Headgear: His trademark purple top hat.
- Token Evil Teammate: In Magic the Noah's videos, Sophist always picks the more chaotic or evil options, usually using Thunder Spell on everyone including a small child who's just looking for her mother, refusing to confess his sins to an angel whose daughter he killed and laughing as she dies from a critical fail, or eagerly selling his soul to a demon for power.
- The Trickster: Sophist is dangerous as an enemy and fatal as a friend. This is due to how unpredictable his playstyle is, going from as talented as Brent one minute to unluckier than Vernias the next. And just to throw everyone for a loop he will make the most chaotic and insane decisions that screw over his own chances at winning.
- Troll: His love of chaos and tendency to rile up the others make him a recognizable troll.Vernias: There is no bridge big enough to contain how big of a troll you are.
- Verbal Backpedaling: Whenever Sophist says something rather inappropriate, he'll quickly say "in-game" afterwards.
- Villain Decay: Despite acclaiming himself as the villain of Party Crashers, Sophist's villainous acts in games have started to fizzle out over the years, with his unluckiness taking center stage.
- Wild Card: Sophist often places last place on Mario Party minigames and Super Smash Bros. matches, so he compensates by sowing utter chaos whenever possible, specializing in choosing random options, even if it almost always ends up hurting Vernias.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: The amount of times Sophist has been in a likely position to win a Mario Party game only for the victory to be given to someone else through Bonus Stars has ceased being funny to the others.
The Editors
The squad of video editors making Nick, Sophist, Vernias, and the main Party Crashers channel's videos coherent and snappy. Sometimes they annotate their own comments on the video they're editing.
- Author Avatar:
- Vernias' editor and the Party Crashers channel editors all have their own avatars to represent themselves.
- On Nick's channel, the editor is represented by Ema Skye from Ace Attorney.
- Biting-the-Hand Humor: It's not uncommon for the editor to take a shot at the person they're editing for, especally when they're performing poorly in a video game.
- Blunt "No": Whenever one of the Party Crashers makes an unreasonable request, they will just flat out decline them.
- Deadpan Snarker: They often end up sassing the crew with their annotated comments.
- Even the Subtitler Is Stumped: While they generally edit videos, they also subtitle what the boys are saying from time to time. However, there are moments where even they have no clue what to put over what the fellas are talking about, usually when it regards to them loudly arguing.
- Everyone Calls Them Barkeep: Whenever these guys are mentioned, expect them to be only referred as "editor" by the fellas. Not even a username, just "editor". Justified, as they have multiple editors working for them, so they won't know who specifically is going to be editing the video they're recording.
- Everyone Has Standards: Whenever the gang is playing a Mario Party minigame that even the editor thinks is boring, they will usually either speed up the footage or cut out the sequence entirely. The same applies if the minigame in question involves Button Mashing, since they already know that Brent will win.
- Fun with Subtitles: They tend to put in plenty of funny notes in the subtitles, particularly on Nick's channel where they actively speak their thoughts throughout the game.
