Before you ask: Yes, this is the one from which the Hummer Dinger got its name.
Whether if it's a West Coast pimp who loves bling-blings and shows off their drip, a Jerk Jock or an Alpha Bitch who brags about their ride in high school, a Private Military Contractor or The Cartel who takes the action on rugged roads, a rural redneck who pretty much doesn't care about the environment, or hell... one who is proud to be American, then the Hummer is most likely the car for all the examples.
The Hummer was first founded in 1992 when AM General began selling a version of their Humvees for civilian use.
It began with the Hummer H1 in 1992, their first ever full-size off-road utility vehicle based on the militarized M998 HMMWV, developed by AM General. Following the end of The Gulf War, famous Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger promoted the Humvee and advocated AM General to build their models intended for civilian use. The H1 is powered by a 6.2 L GM Diesel V8, and was offered in either a soft-top, a four-door SUT (Sport Utility Truck) pickup, or an Enclosed SUV in later models. It's implied the Hummer H1 was never sold outside of the United States, who barred foreign governments and markets in owning one. This would also begin the deal with General Motors, who bough the marketing rights to the brand before the Turn of the Millennium. The H1 continued production until 2006, with about 12,000 units produced.
Though during the H1's production lifespan, General Motors announced the new Hummer H2 in 2002. Differentiating from its original Hummer, the H2 is based on GM's existing platform used for the Chevrolet Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade and GMC Yukon. Its model feature numerous accessories such as cruise control, various auxiliaries like DVD player, 6-disc CD player, BOSE sound system and 8-way power front seats. These led to famous celebrities to own a Hummer due to its stylistic features, such as Britney Spears, Eminem, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and LeBron James. Like the H1, the H2 is offered in either a 5-door SUV or SUT. Production stopped in 2009 with over 150,000 units produced.
In 2005, Hummer offered its smallest version of the lineup called the Hummer H3, built from the Chevrolet Colorado platform. Breaking Old Trends from the previous two models, it uses a more practical 3.5 L inline-5 L52 engine producing 220 hp, though optional variants offer a 300 hp 5.3 L LH8 V8. Its 4-door SUT pickup is instead renamed as the Hummer H3T. The H3 features driving aids that meet safety standards, such as ABS and ESC. Production ended in 2010 with 160,000 units made.
While Hummers have been widely known for their big bodies, capable on driving on rugged roads of different terrain, they're infamous for their extremely heavy weight, low fuel efficiency, poor safety standards, and its very high price tag which would impact the environment such as pollution and poor emissions. They're very reliable, but also expensive to maintain. This led General Motors to pull the plug on Hummer when it declared bankruptcy in 2009 and shut down the brand the following year. Despite its closure, the Hummer name was revived in 2020, under the GMC name, and unveiled it Green Aesop GMC Hummer EV in 2021.

The Aston Martin DB7's little brother.
The XK is Jaguar's series of 2+2 grand tourers first introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 1996, available both in hatchback coupé or in convertible body styles.
Replacing the then aging XJS, the first generation XK (under the X100 designation) was marketed as the XK8 which it was derived from its stylish XJ41/XJ42 concept from 1986, and it would be its first V8-powered model since the Daimler 250... which is technically a Jaguar. Its body design bares similarities to the aforementioned DB7 due to the car sharing the same platform. The XK8, alongside the more powerful XKR are powered by Jaguar's new AJ-V8 engine and fitted with 1.8 L supercharger from Eation, shared with the Ford F-150 SVT Lightning pickup.
In 2005, a newly updated and fully redesigned iteration of the XK (now under the X150 designation) was unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor show, styled by Ian Callum, the same designer who did the Aston Martin DB7 and DB9. While it uses a brand-new aluminium monocoque chassis, one of the notable features of this facelift is its new grille that was a Call-Back to the original 1961 E-Type. Just like the previous iteration, a high performance XKR was also introduced during the unveiling, but also offered an even more powerful version introduced in 2011 dubbed the XKR-S with an uprated engine, supercharger and fitted with Pirelli P-Zero tires, as well as a limited edition track-oriented variant in 2013 called the XKR-S GT.
The XK series ended their production in 2014 with their limited farewell edition called the XK Final Fifty. As the name implies, it's limited to only 50 units. The XK was replaced by the Jaguar F-Type.

Jaguar launches an open-top two-seater sports roadster during the London Motor Show in 1948. Designed by the late William Heynes, the new sports car is named the XK120, where its name refers to its new XK inline-6 engine, and its top speed of 120 mph (193 km/h). The first car was delivered to renowned American actor, Clark Gable. Though originally an open two-seater, the XK120 is also offered in coupé form, whether a fixed head or a drophead.
A more upgraded version of the XK120 was introduced in 1954, now called the XK140, available in open-top roadster, convertible or coupé. Differentiating from its predecessor is its improved brakes, rack and pinion steering, a larger interior space, and highly upraded suspensions and shocks. The "140" in the moniker is implied to be in regard of the "142 kW" gross standard. Its distinctive emblem located on the boot lid contained the words "Winner Le Mans 1951–3" is a Call-Back to is glorious years when its Jaguar C-Types has dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1951 and 1953 respectively.
In 1957, its third revised and final iteration of the XK roadsters called the XK150 is unveiled, initially only available in either a fixed head or drophead coupé where both have added rear seats, though an open-top roadsters were released the following year, as the XK150 OTS. It was also the most powerful iteration amongst all the three, with its highest end model, the XK150S, produce 265 hp and reach 135 mph (217 km/h).
The XK roadsters ended in 1961 and was succeeded by the Jaguar E-Type, though the XK name was revived in 1996 as a grand tourer. See the folder above for more info.

The Koenigsegg Agera is a supercar introduced in 2010 as a successor to the CCX/CCXR. The name "agera" comes from the Swedish verb, meaning "to act". With about 1000 hp in its twin-turbocharged V8 engine, the Agera can reach the 400 km/h barrier with accelerations of 0-60 in less than 2.8 seconds.
The Agera has many variants and one-offs produced throughout its production. A higher performing Agera R produces over 1,100 hp, and theoretically capable of reaching 439 km/h. The Agera R is notable for its Speed Racer livery. Another variant is the Koenigsegg One:1 (pronounced as one), with a whopping 1,360 ps power equivalent of one megawatt as the name derives. The advanced version of the Agera R, the Agera RS clocked at a top speed of 277.87 mph / 447.19 km/h, it is officially the fastest production car in the world. The Agera ended with one last variant, the Agera Final Edition before it closed up shop in 2018 and was replaced by the Koenigsegg Jesko in 2021.
The Agera was named Hypercar of the Year in 2010 by Top Gear magazine.

- Perhaps the famous use of this car is the famous Koenigsegg race scene in Need for Speed (2014), where Dino Brewster, Toby Marshall and Pete Coleman all drive illegally imported Ageras across the highways for dominance. Dino intentionally rammed Pete, sending it down to the ravine, bursting in flames, and killing him.
- Tobey would later end up using the same Koenigsegg for the climactic Epic Race against 5 other exotics. Now that is the classic Need for Speed race many who grew up with that game would look forward for.
- Asphalt features a bunch of them. In 8, the Agera R is available at launch back when the game was released, followed by the almighty Koenigsegg One:1, and finally the even more powerful Agera RS.
- The Koenigsegg Agera R is a Hyper class car in Driveclub, and it's a doozy to drive due to its performance par to the Hennessey Venom GT. Don't fret that this is scary, though. Because introducing the Downforce pack, comes the holy-God almighty Koenigsegg One:1, and it's bar none regarded as a very broken vehicle when it comes to the performance department. With its monstrous top speed, apocalyptic braking and absurd handling, the car feels like you're taking on against a Formula One car! Good luck breaking the world record with that machine.
- Ageras have become part of The Crew's and Forza's hypercar mantlepiece.
- In GRID 2 and Autosport the Agera R appears as a Tier 4 "Super" class car and a Hypercar-class car respectively, and its very capable of reaching 250 mph on its own.
- The Agera RS is available via Downloadable Content in the 2019 game, where there is an anomaly... it sounds like a frickin' 4-cylinder rally car! Thankfully, the sound was patched, to make is sound like the appropriate V8 engine.
- Need for Speed features this Swedish hypercar since its introduction in 2010:
- It first made its appearance in Hot Pursuit (2010), available to both racers and cops for the Hyper Series and Special Response category respectively, alongside its brothers, CCX and CCXR.
- Got a Supercar pack in The Run? Good. Then feast your eyes with the newly higher-performing Agera R.
- This targa top Agera R in Most Wanted (2012) can be yours by beating the Final Boss of the Blacklist.
- The Agera R in Rivals is the penultimate unlockable RCPD-only police car. In the story, when Zephyr found out F-8 tries to make for himself by posing as a racer, he retaliates by stealing a decommissioned Agera police car while vandalizing it with his own name in graffiti.
- The Koenigsegg One:1 is a truly a sight to behold. Its ultra-highest top speed than any other car systematically annihilates basically... everything. Combined with turbo pursuit tech it makes cops chasing your ass nigh-impossble. Just try not to hit anything if you blast past 450+ km/h. The best part? It's a FREE DLC car.
- Real Racing 3 features the Agera family: The vanilla Agera and the Agera R at is initial launch in 2013, with post-launch updates adding the One:1 and also the Agera RS to the lineup, with the one-make Ängelholm's Advance series featuring nothing but Ageras (and a Regera).
The Trope Codifier of hypercars, ever before the Bugatti Veyron was even born. It's ultra-exclusive, ultra-powerful, ultra-expensive and ultra-limited.
When Christian von Koenigsegg founded his namesake car company in 1994 in Ängelholm, Sweden, his intention was to produce a "world-class" sports car that would exceed the highest limits set by the McLaren F1. He built his first Super Prototype called the Koenigsegg CC, which was inspired by the F1 itself and the Ferrari F40, powered by a supercharged 4.6 L Ford Modular V8 engine. That prototype took years of development and testing and by the Turn of the Millennium, it lead to the full production of the 2002 Koenigsegg CC8S. Its car uses its trademark Dihedral synchro-helix actuation doors, its signature targa top body, and its custom Koenigsegg twin-supercharged V8 derived from the aforementioned Ford Modular engine. With a power output producing 655 hp. and top speeds of over 390 km/h (240 mph), the car won the Guinness World Records for the Most Powerful Production Engine. The car would be replaced by the more-powerful and updated CCR which attempted to break the world record for top speed when it ran around the Nardò Ring testing facility in 2005.
In 2006, Koenigsegg unveils the CCX, short for Competition Coupé X, which the "X" commemorates the tenth anniversary for the completion and successful test drive of the first CC prototype in 1996. It was produced to meet US vehicle regulations by sporting new body modifications and a new in-house 4.7 L twin supercharged engine producing 806 hp, while running on 91 octane gasoline. The car's chassis was built from carbon fibre, reinforced with Kevlar and aluminium honeycomb. Throughout its production, Koenigsegg has produced various CCX variants:
- CCXR (2007-2009) 9 units - a more Green Aesop version of the CCX, using modified fuel injectors and E85 and E100 ethanol fuel. Engine power uprated to 1,018 hp.
- CCX Edition/CCXR Edition/CCXR Special Edition (2008-2009) 8 units combined - A much more track-oriented version compared to the standard model, notable for its carbon-fiber body.
- CCXR Trevita note (2008-2009) 2 units - An extremely limited edition of the CCXR, notable for its diamond weave carbon fibre finish. Once owned by famous boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
- CCGT (2007) 1 unit - a race-spec version of the CCX, solely intended to compete in the then-FIA GT1.
- CC850 (2024-present) 50 units note - Unveiled in 2022, a futuristic Retraux to the original CC8S, based on the Koenigsegg Jesko. Acts as a Milestone Celebration to commemorate both 20 years of the said model, as well as the 50th birthday of the founder, Christian von Koenigsegg.
The CC series would cease production in 2010 with 49 units combined in total. It was succeeded by the twin-turbocharged Agera.

- Børning 2 has this slick Swedish exotic tearing the streets apart. It's a black CCX fully wrapped in purple. Truth in Television, all the stunt driving was actually done by Norwegian Formula D champion, Fredric Aasbø.
- Following the vault heist, Fast Five has Tej Parker showing Roman Pearce his black Koenigsegg CCXR that he bought with the money following the heist. In fact, Tej didn't buy it for himself, he even bought one for Roman, much to his surprise!Roman: Uh, you know what's crazy? There's only four of those cars in the whole world. Yeah, I got the only one in the Western Hemisphere. I made a sheikh in Abu Dhabi an offer he could not refuse.
- Taiwanese singer Jay Chou highlights this ultra rare Swedish hypercar as it shows him fancying the orange Koenigsegg CCR in not just one but two of his music videos, usually accompanied by Pit Girls.
- While the Asphalt series features mainly Ageras when Koenigsegg was introduced in 7, post-launch updates for 8 and 9 add the diamond studded CCXR Trevita to which only two units exists. Another noeworthy example is the Call-Back to the original CC; the CC850.
- MI6 agent Nicole Hunter, the "Big Bad" of Blood Stone attempts to escape Monaco in her Koenigsegg CCXR throughout the epilogue, only to be hunted down by James Bond, cornered on the Millau Viaduct and gunned down by a sniper-like unmanned drone, killing her.
- In Forza The CC (CC8S, CCX, CCX-R Edition and CCGT) series were first shown in the first 4 Motorsport games before it was abandoned in favor for the Agera series. It's not until it made a comeback in Horizon 4 and Horizon 5.
- Race Driver: GRID has two types of CCs; For GT1 is the Koenigsegg CCGT, which would be a Lightning Bruiser due to its high stats for its class. The other being one of the cars owned by Ravenwest; the Prestige CCXR, which didn't take advantage of its powerful engine due to its top speed being limited to 365 km/h (227 mph) when it's supposed to top at 402 km/h (250 mph).
- Perhaps it's one of the most exotic collectables to have in Need for Speed:
- In the later Black Box games, it's typically a Downloadable Content car. If you have the Collector's Edition of Need for Speed: Carbon then you have this tier 3 exotic already available from the get-go. Same goes for ProStreet and Undercover.
- Perhaps the one that stood out would be the one in Hot Pursuit (2010). Other than the CCX, you have this carbon-clad CCXR Edition. Even the SCPD uses this, and this would be a highly unmarked police car with no SCPD decals. ...well, sorta.
- CCs are the Swedish ultimates of Project Gotham Racing ever since its introduction in the second game; 2 gives you the CC V8S, '3 has both the CCR and CC8S, and 4'' has the modern CCX. All having near-perfect stats when it comes to top speed and acceleration.
- Perhaps its an Infinity+1 Car or two, with Test Drive Unlimited including both the Koenigsegg CCR and CC8S as one of the A-Class missiles. The sequel uses the CCXR Edition, which was widely used as an A1 Driving Test car
Perhaps everyone who knows about Rallying pretty much knows about this classic rally car legend from Lancia.
The Lancia Stratos HF Stradale (Tipo 829) is a mid-engined rear-wheel drive sports car that was intended for replace the aging Lancia Fulvia HF for rallying, produced from 1973 to 1978.
Introduced at the 1971 Turin Motor Show, Bertone presented its Strtos prototype, just a year after its announcement of the Stratos Zero concept car. The prototype has three different engines throughout development; a Lancia V4 from the said Fulvia, and inline-4 from the Beta and the mid-mouned Ferrari Dino V6, which the latter most was used when production finally pushed through. Its power output produces 190 horsepower, and was compatible with a 5-speed manual transmission. Its notable feature of the Stratos is its distinctive wedge-shaped body, which would later be the codifier and trend of the "Italian Wedge" in future sports cars, such as the Lamborghini Countach and the Ferrari Testarossa. Only about 492 Stratos models were produced throughout its production.
The Stratos was designed to participate in the rally world, which would see action in the World Rally Championship. Thanks to its small, but very lightweight body, the car won 18 rallies, courtesy of resident Italian driver Sandro Munari, which also helped won 3 consecutive championships from 1974 to 1976. Its distinctive Alitalia livery◊ has become one of the most notable and iconic rally cars in history.
Anime and Manga
- When it comes to En's basic vehicle in Brave Command Dagwon, it's by far none other than the Fire Stratos, a Lancia Stratos that is quite an Improbably Cool Car for police use.
- Resident Tsundere of the Power Trio, Lisa Sakakino of éX-Driver is the driver behind her classic Cool Car; a blue Group 4-spec Lancia Stratos HF (from episode 2 onwards) which she uses to stop erratic Automated Automobiles. Previously, she drives an Impreza, which got wrecked in the process (due to AWD being too impractical for maneuvering).

- As expected where Cool Car is the emphasizing premise, Overtake! has Noritsune Ena, the owner of Belsorriso, who drives a Lancia Stratos as his personal car.
- The Stratos is Slicer's alt-mode in Transformers: Shattered Glass (2021).
- The titular Moonwalker car in Moonwalker where Michael Jackson during the "Smooth Criminal" section transforms into this car as he gets away freely from the gangsters. That said car is the Lancia Stratos Zero concept car. Very improbable, futuristic-looking, and indeed reached the crowd.
- As a Rallying legend, the Lancia Stratos has appeared in rally-based racing games, typically as a Difficult, but Awesome car (due to its nimble lightweight body prone to oversteering, especially on surfaces that aren't asphalt);
- Colin McRae Rally is perhaps this, typically as a bonus car and in its distinctive Alitalia livery. The DIRT series has become a long-time staple RWD classic with the improbable New Stratos by Fenomenon, a modern-era recreational concept that's being in the same RWD class as the Stratos itself.
- The Lancia Stratos in Rally Trophy defines what is Cool, but Inefficient; it has an absurdly powerful motor, absurdly great acceleration, break-neck top speed... but apparently zero grip on anything else than tarmac/asphalt...
- The Lancia Stratos appears as a secret car in Sega Rally Championship, which goes much faster than the other two cars but in the arcade version it handles like it's on ice This became a mainstay in later games.
- As part of July 2023's American Legends update, The Crew 2 adds this rally legend to the lineup. A Rallycross counterpart is also added on the same update, which was based on its Group 4 rally car.
- It only shows up as the only Lancia car in Driver: San Francisco. One mission has John Tanner has to retrieve back the Stratos as one of the stolen vintage cars that were to be sold at an auction.
- This wedge-shaped sports car shows up in every single Forza game (except the 2023 reboot), with of the Group 4-spec that was only exclusive to Horizon 3 and Motorsport 7.
- The Stratos first appeared in Gran Turismo 2, which can be obtained as a prize car. Fit racing modifications and you can turn it into an Alitalia-cladded rally car. While it was Dummied out in 3, it fully returns in 4, with the road car and rally car now being separate models. 5 onwards replaced the iconic Alitalia livery with a generic one, note but the game won't stop you from recreating the Alitalia livery in Sport and 7.
- Outside of the rally world, GRID (2019) has this as a Classic GT car, based on its Circuit-spec Group 4 race car.
- This "off-road enthusiast" appears as the "Dustdriver" in Horizon Chase. Its 2nd anniversary skin resembles the one of the Martini livery.
- Ditto in MotorStorm: Apocalypse as the Italia Cirrus is also a Group 5 Stratos Expy with some added flares from a Ford RS200.
- Prbably one of the notable classics in Project Gotham Racing 2 and 4. While it may not have lots of power, but its lightweight body makes the car nimble around corners.
- The homologated Groupe 4 edition of this Italian classic is available as a Downloadable Content in Test Drive Unlimited 2. Just find all the wrecks in Ibiza and this wedged sports car is yours.
- A rally version of the Stratos is seen in ToCA Race Driver 3, restricted only on rally courses. Its Alitalia colors were inverted and the logo was replaced with the Supersprint logo, possibly as as a way of Writing Around Trademarks.
- Wheeljack of The Transformers has the Stratos as his alt-mode. With colors lookin exactly like the one of the Alitalia livery.
