Locked Pages: Lock, UnLock and Edit requests

The consensus for the TRS thread for Fandom Berserk Button was to move the page to Fandom-Enraging Misconception. I'm requesting a move so the wick migration can proceed.

Please lock Gamebooks, add it to Literature for works with their own pages, and cut Lone Wolf from Literature G To L.

Please cut Scooby Apocalypse from Comic Books: I to Z, as well as Leo and Dark Meta Knight (1st and 3rd Kirby examples under video games) from Fan Works.

The Unreleased Work Speculation Cleanup thread has agreed on cutting and locking Crisis on Infinite Earths (2019) due to a lack of released material whatsoever. The page has been recreated twice since its deletions.

To follow up that lock, I would also like this to be added to Locked Pages:

• Crisis on Infinite Earths (2019): Was repeatedly recreated even though no material whatsoever for this upcoming work has been released, making the series untropable. Locked until a trailer is released.

For Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thanos, his entry still needed to be added. He was approved on the MB forum:

• Thanos the Mad Titan, after the death of his home world, is obsessed with reducing the population of the universe to save it and prove himself right. Forming an army of fanatics, Thanos travels from world to world, killing off half of the population of each, while taking children to raise as new warriors in his army, including his favorite daughter Gamora. Seeking the Infinity Stones to wipe out half the universe in one snap of his fingers, Thanos tricks and traps the heroes, staying one step ahead to reclaim the stones, even sacrificing Gamora to claim the Soul Stone at one point even as it destroys him to do so. Attacking Wakanda, Thanos repeatedly shows brilliant and effective use of the Stones before completing his gauntlet and performing the snap, before destroying the stones to prevent his work from being undone. When his past self from 2014 arrives, he has his daughter Nebula infiltrate the heroes, posing as her future self to not repeat any failures, resolving to wipe out the universe and make a new, grateful one himself before engaging in the ultimate battle for the fate of all existence.

Two edits to DarthWiki.Fallen Creator, both in the Video Games folder.

First, a formatting fix: In the Inafune example, after "genuine in his efforts or a greedy con man.", there's a paragraph break that's missing its \\.

Second, an addition:

• Markus "Notch" Persson, original creator of Minecraft, became infamous for posting inflammatory political opinions on social media. As a result, the fanbase has turned against him to the point that a $10,000 donation from him on Games Done Quick was met not with cheering but dead silence, and 2019 updates to the splashes file removed his name and birthday and ascended the meme that the game "came from space". Not helping his image is the fact that, since the game went gold in 2011, he's had little involvement with its continued development, so all the polish and innovation since then can be credited to someone else.

(I'm not 100% satisfied with phrasing his nonsense as "inflammatory political opinions", but I haven't come up with a better way to say it that doesn't come across as just complaining. Any suggestions?)

Oy, that was a lot of edits. I think I got them all, with some comments:

• I think I got this Thanos character into the correct place.
• Monster.Western Animation isn't sending the "too long" message. We no longer show the length of a page in characters; we merely get a notification when it's too long.
• We still have that function to flag things as "not safe for Google", even if the curtain itself no longer exists. ~Fighteer, do you know something about this?
• Fandom-Enraging Misconception is created and the discussion page is moved. I haven't done anything else.
• Did YMMV.Reddit, but I wonder if someone should explain what "SJW" means.
• I have some doubts about the addition request to Fallen Creator, it sounds a bit tame for a "fallen" creator. Is there discussion on the discussion page to allow its inclusion?

Gamebooks doesn't need to be italicized.

At Batman, Ra's was already there; this was meant to replace the current entry.

At Fan Works, Jeog needs to be double-indented, while Quirrell needs to go to Others.

At Live Action TVA To L, Jeremiah Valeska needs to be double-indented.

Thanks for catching my goof at Mortal Kombat, as I did indeed mean Kronika and Frost (Shinnok's already there). Though Shinnok still belongs; please re-add him after Quan Chi.

At Superman, Steel is fine, but Skynet should go to Miscellaneous, not Elseworlds.

• Tailchaser's Song: Grizraz Hearteater became jealous of his older and younger brother and grew to hate cats in general. Hearteater summoned a Hellhound to kill as many cats as he could, and also ended up killing one of his brothers. Ever since then, Hearteater has hid underground in Vastnir to avoid being detected and also to avoid the light. Hearteater hates hates Meercat Allmother and wants to destroy all of Her creations. Over the centuries he's become an Animalistic Abomination and has been rearing monstrous minions to slaughter cats and kidnap slaves while he waits to start the apocalypse. Hearteater sits upon a throne of various tortured and dead animals, where all he does all day is eat the cats that his servants bring him. At the end of the novel, Hearteater decides to show his true power by turning his mound of animals into a deformed, vaguely hellhound-like monster only called "the Fikos" ("terrifying badness"), which slaughters multitudes of cats on both sides.

I didn't think to bring it to the discussion page, no. As for apparent tameness, when I say "inflammatory political opinions", that's a less-likely-to-start-fights way of saying he basically turned into a Nazi. (I mean, it's going on a locked page, so there at least won't be edit wars, but fights can happen elsewhere.) I wrote the example text with an eye to showing that the fanbase has in fact turned against him, rather than why they did so.

Done to here, but "aforementioned " is something that examples shouldn't say.

Okay, now Quirrell's under Western Animation other; should be Literature other (after the Goosebumps entry).

At Mortal Kombat, Shinnok should be single-indented, before the Mortal Kombat 11 duo.

The rest looks good.

Can Thanos actually go at the top of MagnificentBastard.Marvel Cinematic Universe (in addition to being series-wide, he technically appears chronologically before any of the others) and can we take the italics off "Marvel Cinematic Universe" on the pages that link to it? Thanks!

The ProJared entry could use some works. Again, wait until the dust clears when you want to add this to the actual page.

• ProJared was one of the most prolific Youtubers that had his start in ScrewAttack and managed to rack up a number of subscribers up to 1.1 millions. One day, he announced a plan of divorce with his wife Heidi, but around the same time, Heidi revealed that beforehand, Jared has been cheating on her for Holly Conrad, the ex-wife of Game Grumps' Ross, and several fans revealed that he indulged in grooming minors or showing naked pictures of himself (Heidi herself found out about this while checking his old phone). Because of this, the internet went on a furious rage, with Jared's subscriber count rapidly declining, other video makers that featured him as a guest before deleted those videos and even his friend PeanutButterGamer who defended him before regretted his rash action about this and apologized to the crowd and Heidi, effectively turning against Jared. He pretty much became a major Broken Pedestal in 2019 for many youtubers that looked up to him.

Aside of an update with PBG's situation, I just thought that the comparison with JonTron was... unnecessary. I also didn't put the lawsuit that Jared would likely have to face because it's still ongoing.

Again, do not post this yet, just treat this as a preparation once the dust cleared. But as far as update to make it look more... neutral (I hope), what do you think?

I am starting to question whether we want to have this "original medium" sorting in Monster.Fan Works (and similar fanwork pages) at all; it's terribly confusing and it gives undue importance to the original work. Otherwise done to here.
