This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

For the page Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil:
- In John Grisham's A Time To Kill, Jake Brigance discusses this in his closing statement. For context, he is defending a man charged with murdering his daughter's rapists:
Quoted from the book, since I'm not sure if it comes up in the movie.

I miss the days when "We are a buttload more informal" actually meant something.Since it's been cleaned by the Special Efforts thread, can we lock Monster.Webcomics?
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Done. *tosses key in sewer drain*
A couple of errors from Fifty Shades of Grey page:
- Backslash being used instead of forward slash to separate Freudian Excuse and Single-Issue Psychology.
- The quote "your mine" from the entry Property of Love should be "you're mine". If it's written that way in the book it could be "your [sic] mine", but I doubt it.

A genius, a philosopher, an abstract thinkerRequest for Double Standard Rape: Female on Male in Comic Books for X-Men:
The infamous Cyclops/Emma Frost affair essentially started as this. Long story short, Cyke wasn't mentally in the best of health, Emma offered him therapy, then she uses this as an excuse to telepathically bang him. Seriously. Now flip their genders; what would happen to a male therapist if they convinced their female patient to have sex with them to deal with their issues? What makes this example even worse, Emma is treated like the victim and Romantic Sue in the resulting love triangle with all her seriously out of order behavior being ignored because 'she was in love with him', and Cyclops is still getting crap, in-universe and out, for cheating on is wife. It might not help that he got together with Emma immediately after his wife's death, but that was literally because Jean made him get together with her to avoid he X-Men falling apart.
Monster.A Song of Ice and Fire has an It Got Worse wick that needs to be changed to From Bad to Worse.
And there are two on the Monster.Anime and Manga page, one in one of the Bakugen sub-bullets and one in the Biomeat entry.

If the current heavily spoilered entry for Frank from Once Upon A Time In The West on the Complete Monster film subpage could be exchanged for this rewritten entry as per the clean up thread.
- Frank (Henry Fonda) from Once Upon A Time In The West is a former bandit turned enforcer for the railroad company. During the film's opening sequence, he and his men gun down the entire McBain family, with Frank shooting down the last survivor, a small boy, himself, before nailing a duster to the door so that local bandito chief Cheyenne will be blamed for the crime. When he reports back to his boss, Mr. Morton, Morton says that he only wanted the McBains scared. Frank's response? "People scare better when they're dying." When Morton tries to cut a deal with McBain's newly arrived widow (ex-Hooker with a Heart of Gold Jill), Frank sabotages the plan, takes Jill hostage, has his way with her, and forces her to sell her land at an auction, positioning his own men there to intimidate the bidders. The arrival of Harmonica, the film's protagonist, ruins this plan, and sets the stage for The Reveal of Frank's worst crime. When Harmonica was a boy, Frank made his older brother stand on his shoulders, and put a noose around the brother's neck. When Harmonica collapsed from exhaustion, his brother was hanged. To add an appropriately sadistic touch, Frank placed a harmonica between the younger brother's lips and instructed him to "play your ever lovin' brother a tune." No reason is ever given for his actions, and Frank has ultimately gone down in film history as one of the most vicious villains of his era.

There is a consensus that Hans Gruber doesn't count as a Complete Monster and he has to be cut from Film page. Remove Colonel Stuart also since he does basically the same thing as Hans does so he doesn't reach the heinous standard, and is also loyal to his boss.
Per P5 discussion, Anime.Training With Hinako needs to be restored using the code at Sandbox.Hinako. There is consensus to keep the page locked.

Second paragraph of Barack Obama: He's now 51 rather than 50.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Salo Or The 120 Days Of Sodom has a Your Mileage May Vary sinkhole in the description that needs to be removed. Same for the Euroshlock entry.

On The Chick, change the Howard Stern example to link to Radio/TheHowardSternShow.
The contents of Main.Salo Or The 120 Days Of Sodom needs to be moved to Film.Salo Or The 120 Days Of Sodom.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenIn the article on the Marquis de Sade, the article suggests that the "non-lethal poisoning" charge levelled against him had to do with date rape; according to Wikipedia, it actually had to do with the use of Spanish fly, a once-common aphrodisiac with some potentially nasty side-effects. Still shady enough, but...
Also, Charenton is misspelled at one point. There are other issues, too, but I'd really have to think about it.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Retsupurae needs to be namespaced to WebVideo/ on:
Did we decide to keep Salo locked? I can't remember. Otherwise done.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerStrike that. I think I confused it with the other Salo work.
Regardless, pulled several zer context examples to discussion.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOn the Osama Bin Laden page, I would like to add the following tropes:
- Cloudcuckoolander: He stated on more than one occasion that he believed that the USA would soon break into its constituent States, as the Soviet Union had done.
- Tapes seized during Operation Neptune Spear show that he was trying to plan an attack that would destroy the United States. Not force it out of the Islamic World, not cause it to withdraw from Afghanistan, not renounce the use of force against Muslims, but to end the United States of America as a political entity, a totally unrealistic goal even for most nation-states, let alone the world's most wanted fugitive.
- For Want Of A Nail: His second-in-command, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, fleeing from the American and Northern Alliance forces during the first engagements of the War on Terror, came across an Afghan warlord on the Pakistani border with the Kipling-esque name of Gula Jan. Gula Jan respected Afghan hospitality codes, but respected the USA's $25m reward for turning him in more. Why wasn't Zawahiri captured there and then? Gula Jan didn't have a phone.
- Villain with Good Publicity: Osama Bin Laden was widely adored in the North of Sudan for his heavy and generous investment into that part of the country when he was resident there in the 1990s. He paid his Sudanese employees $200 a month (a fortune in Sudanese terms) and at one point grew half the country's food supplies, not to mention building roads through the Binladin Group. Couple this with an ill-advised and botched US cruise missile strike against Sudan's only chemical factory (wrongly believed to be a chemical warfare centre) and you have everything you need for this trope.
As well as this quotation:
—->To kill the Americans and their allies — civilians and military — is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it, in order to liberate the al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy mosque [Mecca] from their grip, and in order for their armies to move out of all the lands of Islam, defeated and unable to threaten any Muslim. —->—Osama Bin Laden

Schild und Schwert der ParteiNo, we are not adding any more Real Life tropes to that article. That's why it was shut down in the first place.
