I thought for ages that Carnage's host was Cletus Cassidy and not Kasady.
The best character is always the one-shot disguise.Odd and technical one: I thought that the front sight on a StG-44 was mounted on the gas block (like on G3), not at the muzzle (like AK, for example).
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisSame, I never believed/misremembered Pikachu's tail as having a black tip (then again, I've been a Pokemon fan since childhood and never lost interest) and was kinda surprised to learn this is apparently common? (People misremembering the brown part as being at the tip rather than base of the tail, however, is something I've seen happen a few times)

shouldn't his favorite genre be RPG and not point and click thoughThis is a really weird one. There was this one episode of Ninjago where there was a gag of Kai opening a fridge and finding Zane hanging out inside. The thing is, that was censored in the US so all he found was a bird in a completely empty fridge. Despite that, I always remembered the joke as Zane being in the fridge even before I rewatched the whole show on Netflix where they restored the scene.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."So I was trying to find a tv movie I watched as a kid, and I found something that almost certainly fits what I remember, but the ending is different: the movie in question is Frog, but part of what I remembered was a Parental Bonus punchline where, instead of turning into a prince, the frog turns into a No Celebrities Were Harmed version of Prince. I now feel like there had to be some other, unrelated work where that happened and I conflated the two - I even remember not knowing who Prince was at the time, and my mom having to explain it to me.
In the episode "Dog Day's Afternoon" of The Fairly Oddparents when Timmy is a dog and Cosmo and Wanda hear him barking and Wanda says she doesn't speak Dog I remembered Timmy saying "What do you mean you don't speak Dog? I'm speaking English!" but he actually says "What do you mean you don't speak Dog? Learn! LEARN!"
Check out my forum game: Rate the above YMMV.Apparently, there was never a trope named Mole Face Turn. I could swear that there was.
A great Mascot Mook. For a long time, I thought I remembered Bonejangles from Corpse Bride being evil, until I finally rewatched the movie a few years ago. I guess the imagery and tone of his song, "Remains of the Day," have the aesthetic of a typical Villain Song. Even some of his behaviors and mannerisms give off an Obviously Evil vibe, even though he's actually not.
Burbank Frollo: the most hilariously ineffectual, unintimidating Frollo ever@ Mike K You should try asking about that in YKTS. I've had similar things where I remembered things from two different works as being from the same thing. About a year or two ago I rewatched Bedknobs and Broomsticks and was confused because I very strongly remembered a scene where someone kisses King Leonidas's ring. It turned out I was remembering a scene in Robin Hood (1973) where this happens with Prince John (who also looks like a humanoid lion with a crown.)
One Halloween evening before I was old enough to watch Family Guy, the episode “Road to Rupert” was on TV, and I was focusing on other things in my grandparents’ living room. Then, when I heard the bleeped version of the carjacking scene at the end, I couldn’t understand what Stewie was yelling. So, after that, I falsely remembered that scene as having the unintelligible high-pitched chatter of the ants from the Wonder Pets! episode “Save the Ants”, but with at least one censor bleep.

Are we human, or are we dancer? An often-repeated line from my streams is "hopping over those rocks like Brazilian Jeronimo" - except, as it turned out when I dug up the intro to that telenovela on Youtube, there was no shot of Jeronimo jumping over a gap in the rocks in it.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisI remembered a variant of the THX logo featuring Tex where he was green instead of red. There is no THX logo like this. Maybe it was due to Tex's resemblance to Mario and thus my brain creating a fake memory of his Luigi counterpart.
I also remembered during one of many playthroughs of Pokemon Gold during my childhood, the second Team Rocket grunt in Slowpoke Well saying "You wimpy little bitch!" instead of "You rotten brat!" upon being defeated. Now, there is no way this could have been said without the game getting a T-rating, so I have no idea why I remembered this. Luckily, my very next playthrough proved this wrong.

—signature not found—When Big Bird’s “Toodle-oo!” closing bumper of Sesame Street stopped airing regularly on TV, I didn’t see it again until I found it on YouTube, since I missed the reruns of the hurricane episodes and I couldn’t get PBS Kids Sprout in Canada. Because of this, I falsely remembered the bumper as having the music that was used for the show’s first pbskids.org bumper, and for a while, I actually thought that it showed the text about that website since I couldn’t read the copyright notice back when I saw it on TV. I also falsely remembered Big Bird laughing at the end when he does the Muppet equivalent of smiling.
Are we human, or are we dancer? You're probably thinking of Heel Face Mole.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessKeep forgetting to post this: I remember the first time I played Doom (2016) there being, in addition to the old school "pinky" demons, some that looked like the Doom³ kind, rather like how the game has both the Doom 3 hell knights and the original Big Red Devil-style barons of hell. I found out when I was going to add something on This Very Wiki mentioning them, but found out that they never existed when I went to look up something about them. I forget what I was looking up exactly and what I was going to say but it still seems weird when I think about it.

I somehow misremembered one of the past Jackbox packs (not remembering which specific one) as having 6 different games. Looked it up to check, and no - they all have 5 games. To be fair, I haven't played some of the packs in a long while

shouldn't his favorite genre be RPG and not point and click thoughI thought there was a thread here called "Unpopular opinions", but I can't find it. The closest thing I can find is this.
Check out my forum game: Rate the above YMMV.Unpopular opinion threads are explicitly against the rules, so I doubt there's anything like that.
A great Mascot Mook. Here's another I keep forgetting to add: I have a very strong memory of playing a space-sim type game where, at one point, you fight a seemingly endless onslaught of enemies, and one your teammates keep saying "Will it ever end?" I thought for sure it was Slippy fromStar Fox 64, and can even "hear" him saying it in my memory. However, in 2009 I got re-interested in old games I played as a kid, and have played it numerous times, and he never says it. Since then I have asked a lot of places (including YKTS here) what game it's really from, and no one has been able to figure it out. Perhaps oddest of all: a couple years ago I was talking to a friend about quotes you remember but can't place. I mentioned this one and he immediately said he thought it was Slippy from Star Fox 64 as well! I think he even said this before I mentioned that's where I thought it was from, but I can't remember.
The beginning of "More Human Than Human" is shorter than I thought it was. I think I figured out why it seems that way though - it has a sample of The Immodest Orgasm in there, it came out when I was a teen, and while I really liked the song, so I was weirdly anxious about the parents walking in during that part, to the point I would sometimes hear the first couple notes on the radio, change the channel for a minute or two, and hope to get back to the station that was playing the song in time for the vocals to start.

In the Jimmy Davis You Tube Poop, "The Decayer App", I remembered the Take That! towards pineapple pizza at the end being an original voice saying: "Disclaimer: Pineapple is great. But on pizza, it's TERRIBLE!" In reality, not only was the actual line a little different ("Pineapple's great, but it sucks on pizza!", and "Disclaimer" is never said), it was also sentence-mixed with the DK Rap voice rather than being an original voice clip.
In Dust: An Elysian Tail, I remembered the track "Short Fuse" playing during the boss fight with Fuse. In reality, the track "Heavy Bones" plays instead, while "Short Fuse" plays during some other fights like with the giants and during the Baron Kane fight. The track's name and the fact that it shares a Leit Motif with "Heavy Bones" don't help, neither does the fact that people still associate "Short Fuse" with Fuse. In fact, I wonder if this might be worth adding to the Mandela Effect page itself.

—signature not found—Guy Incognito from The Simpsons being recently played at the Guess the Disney character thread reminded me of one: in the Latin American Spanish dub, the character is called Cosme Fulanito (first name is a common name, last name is derived from the word "fulano"), but for some reason, me and my family all remember the character's name being Dono Fulanito (derived from "don", meaning "mr."), since I often repeated that joke as a kid. To this day, I still don't know why or how.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Personally I remember the TV shows your sims could watch in The Sims 2 being higher quality then they actually were. They look like they were filmed on the worst quality PC. Also, the Fruit of the Loom cornucopia thing definitely gets me every time.
I remember Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life being called Harvest Moon: It's a Wonderful Life.
Check out my forum game: Rate the above YMMV.
Meanwhile, I'm so used to seeing Pikachu that the black-tipped tail we use in the picture looks cursed to me.
