How often is it joked that Otis from Barnyard is actually transgender because he has an udder?
Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!I've heard more jokes about Rudolph being a girl than about Otis being trans. But that doesn't mean much.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI've seen that joke quite a bit. There's even a bit of dialogue people use as evidence where Ben forgets he doesn't have a daughter.

I think I also remember Robot Chicken sort of referencing that.
Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread! Is it really used in parodies or is it just standard Trans Audience Interpretation?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Another questionable example by Dongwa Chan, this time to the live-action television page.
- The Secret Life of the American Teenager: Every season's plotline is the same to the point of being Strictly Formula.
They just keep popping up over and over and over on these threads and ATT.
Can't speak for the example's validity as I am unaware of the media property.

TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallI think those kinds of examples should be cut because they don't say anything about jokes parodies make, they say more about the criticism people have of the work.
By "they" I meant Dongwa Chan.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallYeah, I was talking about the "I can't speak for the validity" part. Even without being familiar with the work, I can tell this is a bad example.
Has anyone DM’d them yet?
On that note, here’s a couple more concerning edits made by them on the Stock Parody Joke subpages:
- They made some strange edits to an example on StockParodyJokes.Anime And Manga, not only adding “or at least a Vocal Minority of them” in parentheses (which kind of contradicts the fact that it’s a parody joke and thus usually doesn’t have much of a basis in reality) but also removed the word “weeaboo”. They seem to have some sort of strange issue with the word, considering that they not only added a (now-removed) example to Overshadowed by Controversy that claimed that the sole thing The Perry Bible Fellowship is known for is coining the word, but also acted like the word is a slur.
- This example added to StockParodyJokes.Web Original is unabashed complaining.

back lolI deleted all the examples that are just "X is bad" since that's just undisguised complaining instead of jokes.
HqamiliciousThe weird thing is that sometimes the complaining ones are more valid than the ones that aren't. Like, there's a standard for Hallmark Channel parodies to make fun of the movies for being formulaic and low on diversity.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Hey, why was the "Rainbow Dash from MLP is a lesbian" joke deleted, but "Velma from Scooby-Doo is a lesbian" joke wasn't? Is there a difference?
HqamiliciousBecause somebody claimed it was shipping, not a parody joke. But like I said before, it's not always in the context of shipping that RD is made to be a Butch Lesbian, especially in Shallow Parodies.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Because I didn't notice the Scooby-Doo examples.
I think Robot Chicken has made at least one joke about Velma being a lesbian.
I think it's a general joke about why the team hangs out: Shaggy deals the weed, Velma and Daph are gay, and Fred is their beard. Something like that.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessOn the other hand I haven't seen any jokes about Rainbow Dash being a lesbian. The closest I've heard to that kind of joke is that various "Bronies love Pony Porn" jokes.
One example off the top of my head is PONY.MOV, which is a deliberate Shallow Parody (despite also being loved by the fandom at the time).
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I think part of the problem is we don't know which edits are in good faith and which aren't. For instance, "the work is bad" could be stealth complaining, but on the other hand, some works really are parodied for being bad.
For every low there is a high.If that's the case, we need to say more than just "x is bad". For instance, one example I added under Avatar: The Last Airbender says "The characters mocking their portrayal in the Shyamalan movie". It would've been easy for me to just say "The Shyamalan movie is bad", but I specified what kind of jokes people make about the movie being bad.
Sorry for the double post, but here's an example I have issue with.
- The titular Green Eggs and Ham are rotten, hence their color. Alternatively, Sam-I-Am is either a drug dealer or wants to have gay sex with Guy-Am-I.
- The ham being made from the hybrid offspring of Kermit and Miss Piggy.
- The titular Green Eggs and Ham are rotten, hence their color. Alternatively, Sam-I-Am is either a drug dealer or wants to have gay sex with Guy-Am-I.
I added the first line myself, because I have seen multiple different jokes about the eggs and ham being rotten, Sam being a drug dealer, or Sam and Guy being gay.
However, the second line I have issue with because I've only seen one joke about the ham being made from Kermit and Miss Piggy's offspring (this comic◊). Is this really a joke multiple different people have made?
This entry from the trope page has a lot of bad entries. A lot of these are just complaints.
- Sonic the Hedgehog:
- Tails' tails as being due to radioactivity.
- Ramping up how Totally Radical Sonic is.
- Shadow is the quintessential example of an "edgelord", being very rough-around-the-edges while swearing and firing guns. (This is true of him in his self-titled game, but Shadow usually has more nuance to him in other appearances.)
- Amy as an obsessive fangirl, Yandere, and/or Dirty Kid.
- Every non-human character has some kind of bizarre backstory, design, or fetish attached to them, typically used as a Take That! towards the fan work-making side of the Sonic fandom.
- Like many fictional speedsters, Sonic's "Fastest Thing Alive" moniker also referring to his lousy performance in bed.
- Knuckles obsessing over the Master Emerald.
- Making jabs at the overall franchise's (heavily debated) lack of quality (also known as "the Sonic Cycle"◊), with Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) being the most common target. Even mentioning him casually is a usual lead-in to these jabs.
- This was taken to its nth with the infamous IGN retrospective on the series: "Sonic Was Never Good".
- The fans' tendency to make thinly veiled Author Avatar characters named "[artist's name] the Hedgehog". Coldsteel the Hedgeheg is the most (in)famous example.
- Dragging out some of the weirder fan works for mockery.
- The games are boring when you're not going fast.
- Sonic's friends from Adventure onward are lame.
- Big the Cat's story in Adventure is boring; all you do is fish.
- For the Archie comics specifically, calling attention to Ken Penders' strange and sometimes fetishistic fixations. Also, the dozens of new characters he made who all look exactly like Knuckles.
- Sonic's bare feet and/or hands look weird.
- Sonic really has just one big eyeball.
- Sonic was created as a cynical marketing ploy to compete with Mario.
- Sonic's romance with a human princess in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).
- The games shoehorn unnecessary gimmicks into their gameplay.
- Making fun of Modern Sonic reassuring his Classic self that his future is "gonna be great" at the end of Sonic Generations.
- Relatedly, Classic Sonic hating Modern Sonic because of how Modern Sonic's games ended up.
- Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 haven't aged well.
- Sonic Heroes is either the first sign that the games were deteriorating in quality or the last good game the series made before everything went downhill.
- The games stopped being good after they made the jump to 3D.
- Rouge the Bat is far too sexy for the target demographic, and proof that the fans are perverts if not complete degenerates.
- Anyone who disagrees with the popular sentiment of some parts of the franchise being bad (Most notably Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) and Sonic's old movie design) is either stupid, too young to have good taste, overly apologetic of the franchise to the point of thinking it can do no wrong, or some combination of the three if not all of the above.

Well, there are 93 wicks, so at least 50 would need to be checked (although we could check them all, if anyone wants to).
