This is a thread for checking up on pages for works that have not been released yet, to make sure that they are not straying into rampant speculation or posting crazy behind the scenes spoilers. You can bring both individual examples or entire pages to attention here.
In extreme cases, any page can be locked, but hopefully that won't be necessary.
(As these pages often are hit with zero-context examples and shoehorning as well, all four - speculation, spoilers, ZCEs, and shoehorning may get addressed simultaneously.)
The policy governing this effort is Creating A Work Page For An Unreleased Work. Cleanup is being tracked using the Unreleased Works sandbox.
All pages for unreleased works should include a %% comment at the top of the page, confirming the policy and linking to this thread and the Administrivia page. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as the example provided here, but this provides a template to work with.
%% Speculative troping is not allowed on TV Tropes.
%%
%% We trope what DOES happen in works, not what MIGHT happen or is LIKELY to happen.
%%
%% For unreleased works where all we have to go on is advertising and other supplemental materials, we have some detailed guidelines, which can be found at Administrivia/CreatingAWorkPageForAnUnreleasedWork.
%%
%% NOTE - these rules also mean that unreleased works should only have one page image, and that image should NOT be changed again until the work is released.
%%
%% If you have questions, please consult the Unreleased Work Speculation Cleanup thread at https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15514631230A64268600

Just found a page for Promising Young Woman, a film which premiered at the Sundance in January, but it's release to the general public in April was cancelled.
Most of the tropes on the page are Zero-Context Examples.
No one minds if I send Fate: The Winx Saga to the cut list.
The Watch only has a press release.
Apple TV+ has released a trailer for their upcoming adaptation of Isaac Asimov's Foundation Series:
It also indicates that the release date is 2021.
Is it appropriate to create a page for the work, including only tropes present in the trailer?

The way the trailer looks, it looks like they're in the editing stage, so based on completeness it shouldn't be too shabby. The dislike ratio (being 1/4 dislikes) is alarmingly high though.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 was announced recently, and it's being troped on the original game's page. It's supposed to be released "soon" but that's fairly vague.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Jurassic World Dominion might be eligible for the cut list.
It doesn't look like it has any pre-release materials, even with a release date.
That page can be cut since the movie doesn't have any pre-release materials, teaser, or trailer.
When should we add X-Men Film Series: New Mutants?
Edited by masterrobert on Jul 27th 2020 at 6:10:15 AM
The only reason it doesn't exist is that no one cares to make it. Just remember that every character needs to have at least one valid trope to have a header/folder and every trope requires a citation from released material.
I created Sandbox.Atelier Ryza 2. I'm not moving it to the Video Game namespace yet because I can't think of enough context for three tropes yet, but does what I have so far look acceptable? I'd also appreciate it if someone could help me find at least one more trope in the trailers (I think I see Horse of a Different Color in the Japanese trailer, but I can't understand what it's saying so I can't come up with good context).

So when can Jurassic World Dominion be put back? We’re getting bits of information now. Are we waiting for the trailer?
Fly High, Seek PeaceAs a film, it has to have both release scheduling and pre-release materials before it can have a page.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis has a page despite not having a concrete release date. Only 2021.
There's only two videos of it so far, one reveal and one follow up video to that reveal.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!~Azure Owl, I don't think we have met the release date qualification yet (year but no season), but here's a draft of the tropes I've collected already:
- Actionized Adaptation: The original Foundation Series is notorious for basically being a bunch of talking heads with very little onscreen action. However, the first trailer of this Live-Action Adaptation shows more action than what was even in the first book, with Book Burning, soldiers forcibly capturing Gaal Dornick, a Dire Beast leaping out to attack, and an explosion. All of this has been added to increase the Spectacle of the story.
- Adaptation Deviation: The first trailer shows several action scenes added to the work, and cast lists show the addition of new characters that use religion to control the Empire.
- Alien Sky: When Salvor Hardin walks out onto the desolate landscape in the first trailer, there's one enormous moon to the left, and a second moon to the right.
- Book Burning: The first trailer shows Seldon's books being burned at 1:47 as the government takes violent action against him.
- Canon Foreigner: The cast list includes Brother Dawn, Brother Day, and Brother Dusk, characters who have displaced the Committee of Public Safety as the initial antagonists to Hari Seldon. Brother Day also replaces the unnamed Emperor from "The Psychohistorians".
- Dire Beast: The first trailer shows Gaal Dornick being attacked by a large cat-like creature.
- Gender Flip: Due to the Foundation Series having an almost all-male cast, Apple TV+ chose to expand the casting options for their Live-Action Adaptation by changing some of the characters. Gaal Dornick and Salvor Hardin are cast as women instead of men. Demerzel is a more interesting situation, as the original character is simply a humaniform robot that had masculine pronouns applied to him. Asimov deliberately distanced his robot works from the term "android" due to its "made in the shape of a male" meaning. Robots were assumed masculine by default, so Demerzel, as a robot, had no gender, and is now being portrayed by a female actor.
- Gravity Is Only a Theory: In the first trailer, Dornick says that she's familiar with Psychohistory in theory (meaning, she doesn't have a firm grasp of the model and has only read summaries). Seldon insists, "it’s not a theory."
- Holographic Terminal: The first trailer has Hari Seldon showing Gaal Dornick a holographic rendition of a planet at 1:44.
- Live-Action Adaptation: This ten-episode Mini Series is an adaptation of The Foundation Trilogy, although initial advertising focuses heavily on just Foundation (1951). Cast list indicates that Gaal and Salvor are in every episode, despite only appearing in the first book.
- Soiled City on a Hill: We see an enormous city in ruins in the first trailer at 1:34, still burning as the Hari Seldon voiceover says, "And they don't like the future I predict", implying that we will see the Sacking of Trantor that originally takes place offscreen between the events of "The General (Foundation)" and "The Mule".
- Space Elevator: The first trailer shows Gaal Dornick arriving on the City Planet Trantor via a massive metal tube that acts as an elevator, taking her from space down to the planet.
The Suicide Squad now has promotional material but the page is already full of speculation/ word of god.
Might need to give The Batman (2021) a wringer too.
We might need to keep watch for bashers for a little while due to the almost-immediate vocal hatedom, that's what I mean.

This was added to The Batman (2021), can a work have a Signature Scene if the work hasn't been released yet?:
- Signature Scene: From the DC FanDome trailer, Batman delivering a single-take No-Holds-Barred Beatdown to one of what appears to be a gang of Joker mooks, topped with a couple of blows after the mook has gone down.
Signature Scene should require the work to be released.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. That makes sense.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Another upcoming work I'm extremely wary of watching over a page for would be the Inuyasha Spin-Offspring sequel Yashahime, since its parent franchise has had shipping wars so horrific that it's one of the very few franchises to have a subpage locked permanently over shipping (namely DieForOurShip.Inu Yasha).
And already the reveal of a certain male character having a kid sparked the shipping wars once again.

I'm so hyped for that show.... and basically avoiding any fans who aren't already my friends.

Way too premature. Cut it.
