As seen in the Do we have a project to disambig works? Ask The Tropers, there are many works pages that seem to need disambigs, by virtue of sharing names and having no differentiation.
This thread is for the discussion and listing of what to do about such pages.
See here for a list of needed disambigs.
The List
- Film.The Lost World
- Series.Utopia
- Series.Kidnapped (2006 NBC Cop Show) (20 wicks)
- Series.The Street
- VideoGame.Star Wars Battlefront
- VideoGame.Star Wars Battlefront II
- WesternAnimation.Fantasia
- WesternAnimation.Max Steel
Similar Issues
- Then there is pages like The Host which is for the Korean film but has a bunch of wicks referring to the adaptation of The Host.
- Ransom: YMMV.Ransom only has Film entries, but Characters.Ransom is trying to be a disambig to Characters.Ransom Film and Characters.Ransom TV... Trivia.Ransom needs to be split.
- Film.Deadlands is conflicting with the Tabletop Game. Maybe move to its redirect, Film.The Dead Lands?
- Series.The Untouchables: It's holding multiple versions in there...

Film.The Thirty Nine Steps notes the other adaptations by that name in the final description sentence.
I'm moving it to Film.The Thirty Nine Steps 1978.
Although... The others use the numeral, 39 instead of the words...

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I think VideoGame.Spider Man should be the hub/disambiguation for all the Spidey games, so that one being moved would be necessary (and I don't think it's even the first Spider-Man video game with the plain title, so even more reason to move it).
I think it is fine where it is due to the different spelling/marketing. If there's evidence that the numerals were used for posters/commercials, then I'd change my opinion.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.There's three unrelated works titled Heartless, Fanfic.Heartless, Film.Heartless and Literature.Heartless.
Fanfic.Heartless Drich, Film.Heartless 2009, Literature.Heartless 2016?
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.There's a lot of things called "Glitch" and the Main is about the music genre. Any objections to moving Glitch to Glitch Music and turning that original into a disambig?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I wouldn't object to that.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.There are currently three different media that have the name of "86". I think it'd be best to each move them into new, distinct namespaces. Eighty Six to 86 EIGHTY-SIX (its official name), 86 to 86 (2020), and 86 to Eighty-six (2012).
The light novel title change seems right. So I suppose LightNovel.Eighty Six would be moved to LightNovel.Eighty Six Eighty Six.
Note that using a custom title to display LightNovel.Eighty Six as "86 EIGHTY-SIX" would be misuse of the custom title system — see How to Make a Custom Title for details.
Should WesternAnimation.The Powerpuff Girls be moved to The Powerpuff Girls (1998)?
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I think that'd have no issues.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)There's four unrelated works title Split Second:
FanFic.Split Second, Film.Split Second, Series.Split Second and VideoGame.Split Second.
My idea for title moves for the pages would be.
Fanfic.Split Second -> Fanfic.Split Second My Little Pony
Film.Split Second -> Film.Split Second 1992
Series.Split Second -> Series.Split Second 1972
VideoGame.Split Second -> VideoGame.Split Second 2010
CM Sandboxes, MB Sandboxes~bwburke94, I used the moderator page move tool to make it easier to use the history, and fixed some of the indexes, but I'll need you to do the rest of the wicks. The original page is currently redirecting to the franchise in case any wicks refer to the franchise as a whole, since there's more than one work that fits that namespace/title combination.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I've cleaned out the indexes and listed it on Wick Namespace Migration.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Sorry if this has been discussed before, but it looks like there are four Media pages grouped to some extent under the title "Stargirl":
- The Comic Book character, currently at ComicBook.Stargirl DC Comics (with ComicBook.Stargirl as a redirect)
- The TV Series based on that character, at Series.Stargirl 2020 (with Series.Stargirl as a redirect)
- The book by Jerry Spinelli, currently at Literature.Stargirl
- The Live-Action film based on the book, at Film.Stargirl
Do the book and film need to have something added to the namespace? Should a Main/ disambig be created? I'm rather fuzzy on the usual course of action in cases like these...
Edited by Willowleaf24 on Jun 11th 2021 at 4:08:57 AM
The others are disambiguated, so the book and film should be disambiguated as well. And because the TV series is by year, ordinarily the others would be as well... except that the film also came out in 2020.
So the book and film should probably be Stargirl Jerry Spinelli or something similar. Do we use full names or last names?
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.VideoGame.Spider Man moved to VideoGame.Spider Man 2000 and indices changed. Those more familiar with Spidey may want to take a look at the 164 remaining wicks.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.ComicBook.The Invaders and Series.The Invaders were just moved to ComicBook.The Invaders Comic Book and Series.The Invaders TV Series, respectively.
~Mark Lungo, we try not to have disambiguations repeat the namespace. In this case the comic could be moved to ComicBook.The Invaders Marvel Comics and the TV series to Series.The Invaders 1967
Which is why I've made requests for both works to be custom displayed as ComicBook.The Invaders and Series.The Invaders, respectively.
"But... nobody told me I needed a signature!"That's not what custom titles are meant to be used for. See How to Make a Custom Title for rules on what custom titles are and aren't allowed.
So what should I do instead? And shouldn't we just wait until my custom titles are approved or declined?
"But... nobody told me I needed a signature!"Well, my custom titles have been approved. Is this matter resolved to everyone's satisfaction?
"But... nobody told me I needed a signature!"Well, no, because that is not a correct use of custom titles. The fact that they were approved is not really evidence to the contrary, because bad custom titles get approved all the time (apparently the mod-side interface is missing relevant information that would be used to make this decision).
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.
I've considered moving VideoGame.Spider Man to Spider-Man (2000), to disambiguate it from the PS4 game among others. Thoughts?
