When all the students who are attending prom are in danger from a flood of rotten meat waste and pizzly bears in the area, the Stink Tank must work together to try to rescue them all. Ham and Crispin take charge of the situation and they both help the students escape to the roof. Judy and Kima realize they like each other's date. While thinking of a way to save the students, the Stink Tank discovers there are two larger bunkers under the school that will explode the entire school if they don't reach them in time.

Tropes:

  • Accidental Public Confession: When Ham is able to get in contact with Beef on a Bethany's spare phone, Beef tells him there's another meat bunker under the school that will blow up the entire building and not to tell the other students so they won't panic. Unfortunately, the other students gasps at Beef's warning because Ham is talking to him on speakerphone and they heard everything.
Beef: (on the phone) Oh, dear. Am I on speakerphone?
    Ham: Noooo?
    Judy: Hi, Dad.
Beef: (on the phone) Hi, Judy.
  • Bears Are Bad News: Thanks to the spoiled meat from the bunker, a bunch of pizzlies are attracted to the school and their appearance makes it difficult for the adults outside to rescue them and for the students to escape the school.
  • Big Badass Rig: Junkyard Kyle has Mad Max-style rescue vehicle that took her a decade to build and she would later make modifications to it so she can cross the spoiled meat that's all over the ground and protect herself from the pizzlies.
  • Claustrophobia: While heading down towards the bunker, Walter reveals he sometimes has claustrophobia and was hoping it wouldn't happen while going down to the bunker. To comfort himself, he and Beef sings Steve Winwood's "Higher Love" to help him get through the bunker.
  • Comically Missing the Point: When Crispin gets the idea of using the sloppy joe meat to distract the pizzly, it takes Ham a while to figure out how obvious the plan is.
Crispin: All this Laird sandwich talk reminds me of what's in the cafeteria.
    Ham: Oh. Chairs!
Crispin: Very good, Ham. But also food.
Ham: Oh, I'm too terrified to eat right now. But help yourself.
Crispin: Not for us, Ham. For the bears.
Ham: Right. I get it now. But also, explain to me exactly what you mean.
  • Continuity Nod: In Bees All That Adventures it was revealed that Crispin has the highest GPA in their grade, he comes up with an escape plan to lure away the pizzly which trapped them in the kitchen by using sloppy joe meat to distract it.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Junkyard Kyle has a Mad Max-style rescue vehicle which helped in rescuing the Children.
  • Delicious Distraction: After Ham's group gets trapped in the cafeteria kitchen by a pizzly, Crispin gets the idea to distract the pizzly by using the sloppy joe meat in the kitchen which allows them to escape.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Principal Gibbons has all the students attending prom to turn in their phones before entering because he doesn't want them to be distracted by their phones so they can live in the moment. But for some irresponsible reason, Gibbons decides to do the same thing with all the teachers and himself, leaving them with no way to contact anyone for help when they think they're trapped inside the green room.
  • Door Dumb: The teachers try to go to meet with their students but are unable to when the door in their green room is jammed. When Judy and Eli goes to rescue the teachers, they find out the door was never jammed and Principal Gibbons has been opening the door the wrong way the entire time, leaving the rest of the teachers furious at him.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: After a pizzly traps Ham's group in the cafeteria kitchen, Laird said if the bear ever breaks in, he'll let the bear eat him so the others can escape, and then makes a joke about himself saying he's like a human version of a giant party hoagie. This talk about sandwich reminds Crispin that the kitchen has sloppy joe meat and he uses the meat to distract the bear so everyone can escape.
  • Face Death with Dignity: Despite the fact that all the students and teachers aren't able to be rescued by Junkyard Kyle's truck thanks to the pizzlies climbing all over her vehicle and the school is about to blow up at any moment, everyone has accepted their fate and aren't even panicking that they could die soon. They just use their final moment to have their prom before their deaths, but luckily, they figured out how to scare away the pizzlies so they can be rescued.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus:
    • After Looney Louie states the third bunker is deeper underground and thinks it probably won't explode and then the ground immediately shakes, the yeti can be spotted on the right side of the screen falling out of a tree.
    • A montage of all the yeti's appearances the past season plays over the closing credits.
  • Good News, Bad News: After Dr. French saves Wolf from a pizzly by shooting a tranquilizer dart at it, she states the good news is that bear will be asleep for four hours, and the bad news is she only has one tranquilizer dart left, but Cheesecake wastes the last dart by touching the tip of the dart and accidentally puts himself to sleep.
  • Hidden Depths:
    • Ham is shown to be a natural leader stepping up and making effective decisions during the disaster. He is also the one who noticed the pizzly running away from loud noise and suggested making as much noise as possible to repel the pizzlies allowing for their rescue.
    • Gill is shown to be stronger than he looks, easily being able to climb a gym class rope. He was also able to climb up while bringing things from the gym to the roof.
  • Hope Spot: Junkyard Kyle finally has her truck ready to go rescue everyone at the school, but as she drives towards the school, several pizzlies are drawn to her truck and they start climbing it. With the pizzlies all over the truck, Kyle can't go near them without risking their safety.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: When everyone at the school believes they're going to die with no way to be saved, everyone starts drinking Bethany's limeade cocktails, students and teachers. And even though there are teachers around, they allow the students to drink since the school will blow up at any moment.
  • Insane Troll Logic: Beef fears the situation is partly his fault after learning his great-grandfather sold the meat company the land in the first place. He fails to take into account he had no control over the deal, assuming he was even born yet he would have just been a small child.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: After everyone at the school is rescued in Junkyard Kyle's truck, Ham declared they saved the school, until the third meat bunker explodes and blows up the entire school.
  • The Last Dance: Literally. With the school about to blow up at any moment and Junkyard Kyle unable to rescue the students and teachers at the school thanks to the pizzlies climbing all over her truck, Judy and Kima has everyone celebrate their final prom before they die. Luckily, when DJ Airhorn plays an airhorn sound, it scares some of the pizzlies away and Ham realizes if they make more noises to scare away the bears, then Junkyard Kyle will be able to rescue them.
  • Literary Allusion Title: The episode title is a reference to the Ernest Hemingway novel For Whom the Bell Tolls, itself a reference to John Donne's poem "Devotions Upon Emergent Occasions."
  • Mercy Kill: Discussed. When Judy asks if dying in an exploding building is better than getting eaten by bears, Eli believes the explosion might be better because it's quicker and has less chewing.
  • Meta Guy: Wolf and Honeybee, as usual, point out the similarities between their situation and a typical action movie, even trying to invoke several action movie tropes like One Liners; When Wolf is unable to come up with one, he becomes jealous of Kyle for coming up with several.
  • The Misophonic: Just like bears in real-life, the pizzlies are able to be repelled from the school by loud noises, so when Ham notices some of them leaving after DJ Airhorn plays an airhorn sound, he encourages everyone to make as much noise to scare all the pizzlies away so Junkyard Kyle can rescue them with her truck.
  • Multi-Part Episode: The episode is divided into two parts.
  • No OSHA Compliance: The meat company that Looney Louie used to work for is a really bad company. Louie reveals when the company was dumping the meat into the bunker, people would gather around to watch and have social events around it, which would lead to several people accidentally falling into the meat chute and die where their deaths were covered up. When Louie is talking about the third bunker under the school, he reveals there's no way to enter it because the company got sloppy in the end and just dumped the meat in a huge hole, sealed it up and then walked away.
  • Previously on…: The episode starts with a recap of what happened in the previous episode.
  • Quirky Girl, Quirky Tux: A few girls at prom are shown wearing tuxedos, most notably Bethany and Amelia.
  • Season Finale: The episode is part two of the Season Three finale.
  • Simple Solution Won't Work: When Mrs. Tuntley offers to shoot the pizzlies that are preventing them from rescuing the students, Dr. French points out pizzlies are endangered species and they're not actively killing anyone right now.
  • Sins of Our Fathers: Beef discovers the name of his grandfather on the meat bunker blueprints, making him realize that he sold the land to the company and was responsible for the whole crisis.
  • Stronger Than They Look:
    • Gill is shown to be stronger than he looks, he is able to climb the gym class rope in record time, even being strong enough to carry objects while climbing the rope.
    • Because Eli is always carrying around his tuba, he's shown to be really strong as he's able to pick up Judy after she slipped and carry her on his shoulder trying pulling his tuba case on the ground at the same time.
    Judy: Wow, you're strong.
Eli: Yeah, I do a tuba workout called Brass 'n' Ass. My doctor says I have way more abs than I'm supposed to.
  • Thought They Knew Already: When everyone is wondering why the ground is still shaking after the first bunker exploded, Looney Louie reveals there's a second, bigger bunker under the school, which shocks everyone. He thought they already knew about the second bunker since the blueprint of the school is right in front of them on the table.
  • Tranquillizer Dart: Dr. French shoots a dart at a pizzly that was chasing Wolf. She states the dart will only put the bear down for four hours and she only has one more dart left. Unfortunately, the last dart ends up wasted when Cheesecake takes it to touch it and puts himself to sleep.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Beef's great-grandfather, Rutger Tobin, started the whole mess when he first sold the land to the meat company who would dump all the meat into bunkers in the first place. At the time, they were expecting the cold ground to keep the meat frozen, but they didn't expect the ground would get warmer thanks to global warming years later.
  • Verbal Backspace: Before Beef and Walter enters the bunker to relieve the pressure inside, Mayor Peppers assures them the town won't forget their sacrifice. When Beef points out they plan to come back alive, Peppers corrects himself by saying the town won't forget their possible sacrifice, Beef admits that's a little better.
  • You Are in Command Now: With Principal Gibbons and the rest of the teachers trapped in the green room, Ham and Crispin take charge of everyone at prom because they were voted Prom President and Vice President, and while they admit they were going to use their position to get drunk on power, they showed they're great leaders by effectively helping everyone get out to safety.

♫ Where he at, where he at, hey, where the yeti at?
Where he at, where he at, yo, where the yeti at?
Where he at, where he at, oh, where the yeti at?
Where he at, where he at, oh, where the yeti at?
Oh, yeti, where are you?
I'm gonna find you though you are hiding
He's big and he's frightening
Where's he hiding? I'm gonna find you
Where he at, where he at, oh, where the yeti at?
Where he at, where he at, oh, where the yeti at? ♫

Pizzly Interference

Junkyard Kyle finally has her truck ready to go rescue everyone at the school, but as she drives towards the school, several pizzlies are drawn to her truck and they start climbing it. With the pizzlies all over the truck, Kyle can't go near the school without risking everyone's safety.

How well does it match the trope?
