* BearsAreBadNews: Thanks to the spoiled meat from the bunker, a bunch of pizzlies are attracted to the school and their appearance makes it difficult for the adults outside to rescue them and the students to escape.

* SimpleSolutionWontWork: When Mrs. Tuntley offers to shoot the pizzlies that preventing them from rescuing the students, Dr. French points out pizzlies are endangered species and they're not actively killing anyone right now.

* InsaneTrollLogic: Beef fears the situation is partly his fault after learning his great-grandfather sold the meat company the land in the first place. He fails to take into account he had no control over the deal, assuming he was even born yet he would have just been a small child.

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Beef's great grandfather, Rutger Tobin, started the whole mess when he first sold the land to the meat company who would dump all the meat into bunkers in the first place. At the time, they were expecting the cold ground to keep the meat frozen, but they didn't expect the ground would get warmer thanks to global warming years later.

* InstantlyProvenWrong: After everyone at the school is rescued in Junkyard Kyle's truck, Ham declared they saved the school, until the third meat bunker explodes and blows up the entire school.

* TranquillizerDart: Dr. French shots a dart at a pizzly that was chasing Wolf. She states the dart will only put the bear down for four hours and she only has one more dart left. Unfortunately, the last dart ends up wasted when Cheesecake takes it to touch it and puts himself to sleep.

* GoodNewsBadNews: After Dr. French shots a tranquilizer dart at a pizzly that was chasing Wolf, she states the good news is that bear will be asleep for four hours, and the bad news is she only has one tranquilizer dart left, but Cheesecake wastes the last dart by touching the tip of the dart and accidentally puts himself to sleep.

* SinsOfTheFathers: Beef discovers the name of his grandfather on the meat bunker blueprints, making him realize that he sold the land to the company and was responsible for the whole crisis.

* INeedAFreakingDrink: When everyone at the school believes they're going to die with no way to be saved, everyone starts drinking Bethany's lemonade cocktails, students and teachers. And even though there are teachers around, they allow the students to drink since the school will blow up at any moment.

* {{Claustrophobia}}: While heading down towards the bunker, Walter reveals he sometimes has claustrophobia and was hoping it wouldn't happen while going down to the bunker. To comfort himself, he and Beef sings Music/SteveWinwood's "Higher Love".

* CrazyPrepared: Junkyard Kyle has a Mad Max Style Rescue Vehicle which helped in rescuing the Children.

** Ham is shown to be a Natural Leader stepping up and making effective decisions during the disaster. He is also the one who noticed the Pizzly running away from loud noise and suggested making as much noise as possible to repel the pizzlies allowing for their rescue.
** Gill is shown to be stronger than he looks, easily being able to climb a gym class rope. He was also able to climb up while bringing things from the Gym to the Roof.
* HopeSpot: Junkyard Kyle finally has her truck ready to go rescue everyone at the school, but as she drives towards the school, several pizzlies are drawn to her truck and they start climbing it. With the pizzles all over the truck, Kyle can't go near them without risking their safety.

** Gil is shown to be stronger than he looks, easily being able to climb a gym class rope. He was also able to climb up while bringing things from the Gym to the Roof.

* StrongerThanTheyLook: Because Eli is always carrying around his tuba, he's shown to be really strong as he's able to pick up Judy after she slipped and carry her on his shoulder trying pulling his tuba case on the ground at the same time.
