Judy takes Honeybee to the Phoenix Phlying Feminist Retreat For their Sister Day activity so she can establish a sisterly bond with her, but they learn the retreat is a multi-level marketing scheme and the leader of the retreat is a man who's also a cult leader, they both try to escape from the retreat. Meanwhile, Beef forgot he made a marriage pact with a crazy girl back in high school named Zelda Blop where if they're not married by the age of 40, they'll marry each other and she arrives to fulfill that pact. Beef and the other Tobin boys try to get out of it, but Beef makes it worse by telling complicated lies.

Tropes:

  • Bad Liar: Beef is so bad at lying that he makes his situation with Zelda more complicated like saying he's already married and his wife is already in the house, much to Wolf, Ham, and Moon's frustration since they have to work quickly to make Beef's lie possible.
  • Bait-and-Switch: After Beef tells Zelda he's not going to marry her, she reveals she spent so much money on her wedding dress by getting a reverse mortgage and selling an organ, which shocks the Tobins. But Zelda reveals she sold her mother's organ she played in the church for years before she died, which shocks the Tobins again. But Zelda reveals that her mother dyed her hair blonde and became a real floozy so the church kicked her out.
  • Big Sister Instinct: Before Phoenix would do the Stare, a retreat staff offers Judy a cup with a liquid inside to drink but Honeybee stops Judy from taking it as they later learn the liquid in the cup is breast milk. After learning that Phoenix is running a multi-level marketing scheme and displays behavior of a cult leader, Honeybee's first instinct is to get Judy away from the retreat.
  • Brick Joke: Zelda introduces her two cloth dummies children she named Alphonso and Ned and they're joining the army to fight aliens. The end credits shows Alphonso and Ned entering a Space Battle between aliens who resembles Judy, Ham, and Moon while singing about it.
  • Childhood Marriage Promise: Zelda and Beef had a pact in high school that if neither one was married by age 40 they would get married. Now it's Zelda's 40th birthday and she comes to Beef's house in a wedding dress, fully expecting that Beef will keep his side of the pact.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Zelda Blop is out there, even by this show's standards. This ends up being in the Tobins' favor because when they get caught bringing in a few women to pretend to be Beef's wife, instead of Zelda figuring out Beef lied about being married, she assumes that Beef married several other women in secret behind his wife's back, and Beef just rolls with it.
  • Companion Cube: Zelda has two cloth dummies that she calls her children, Alphonso and Ned. According to her, they're joining the army the next day to fight aliens.
  • Couch Gag:
  • Cult: At first, it seems like Phoenix Phlying Feminist Retreat was just a feminist retreat, but it turns out Phoenix Phlying is a cis hetero woke man who has a multi-level marketing scheme by selling breast milk and has an obsession with women's breast. And it's revealed that several of the staff at the retreat are his wives who would try to prevent anyone from leaving the retreat.
  • Didn't Think This Through: When Wolf calls Alyson over to pretend to be Beef's wife, he only gets her voicemail box and leaves her a message. After the Tobins are able to trick Zelda with Jerry's help, Alyson shows up to pretend to be Beef's wife, and then Junkyard Kyle and Londra also show up to pretend to be Beef's wife, too. Wolf admits he probably shouldn't have left so many voicemails without checking to see if any of them responded back.
  • Digging Yourself Deeper: Instead of being honest with Zelda and telling her that he has no interest in getting married again, Beef instead tells her that he has a wife, and despite his sons' insistence that he stop, keeps elaborating on her, saying that she's a bear researcher and is in the house presently.
  • Fake Relationship: In order to get rid of Zelda, Beef invents a fake wife hoping to make Zelda leave but she insist she meets her before she leaves. Wolf contact Alison to pose as Beef's wife, but he's unable to get in touch of her so he leaves her a voicemail. But because Beef makes the situation more difficult when he claims his wife is currently inside the house, they can't wait for Alyson to respond so Wolf got Jerry instead and has him wear his yeti costume so Zelda won't see his face. It's later revealed that Wolf also left voicemails to Junkyard Kyle and Londra asking them to be his fake wife. Zelda thinks that Beef married several wife behind his wife's back and it's enough to convince Zelda to leave.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus:
    • Before heading inside the festival, there's a sign stand with a list of rules called "The Phoenix Phundamentals": No hacky-sacking unless you can actually do it, No outside funnel cakes, All conversations about men limited to 12 minutes max, No Shoes, No Shirt, No Bra-blem, Don't be stuffy, Pass the Dutchie, and This is a Free Hug.
    • The yeti can be spotted near the end of the episode, when Judy and Honeybee, along with Paula and Bev, are waiting outside the retreat and then Judy gets a notification that her Uber ride is near, the Yeti can be spotted walking behind Judy in the background while wearing a retreat pass.
  • The Friends Who Never Hang: Judy admits that even after Honeybee moved in with the Tobins, she and Honeybee never spent that much time together just between the two of them despite being the only females in the family. She sees her as a sister but she's unsure if Honeybee feels the same way about her and hopes the retreat they're going to will solidify their sisterly bond. When Judy talks about this issue with Honeybee, Honeybee assures her that she does see her as a sister and that their crazy time at the retreat was special to her because they were together.
  • From Bad to Worse: Honeybee's response after learning the truth about the feminist retreat.
Honeybee: This went from being a feminist retreat to multi-level marketing scheme to some kind of weird, booby-based cult real quick.
  • Frustrating Lie: When Beef tells Zelda he won't marry her despite making a Childhood Marriage Promise during high school, Zelda's body goes limp and falls to the floor and won't move until she feels better. In an attempt to make her feel better, Beef lies and tells her he does like her, but he's already married and he'll gladly introduce his wife to her. The Tobins boys are frustrated because now they have to play along with Beef's lie. While Wolf is trying to contact Alyssa to help pretend to be Beef's wife, Beef ends up making the situation worse by claiming his wife is currently in his bedroom resting, adding more frustration to the Tobin boys because now they have to rush to get someone in Beef's bedroom before Zelda finds out, and the only person that can help them at short notice is Jerry in his Bigfoot costume.
  • Good-Times Montage: When Judy asks Honeybee what activities she wants to do at the retreat, Honeybee isn't sure so she decides to do them all, and we get a montage of them doing it together.
  • The Guards Must Be Crazy: When the retreat staff fails to stop Judy and Honeybee from escaping from the retreat, instead of running after them they decide to walk very slowly after them because the ground is muddy and one of the staff didn't bring an extra pair of pants.
  • Have I Mentioned I Am Heterosexual Today?: Phoenix Phlying feels the need to say he is a cis hetero woke man twice in the span of a few minutes.
  • I "Uh" You, Too: After Judy gives a heartfelt declaration of her sisterly love for Honeybee, Honeybee's response is "In the words of Patrick Swayze in Ghost (1990), 'ditto'." Having not seen the movie and not getting the context of the quote, Judy thinks Honeybee doesn't feel the same way.
  • Operation: Jealousy: Beef admitted that he only dated Zelda in high school to make Kathleen jealous.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title is a reference to Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.
  • Samus Is a Girl: Phoenix Phlying, who Judy and Honeybee thought was a woman, is actually a cis hetero woke man.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Among the activities in the retreat are The Sisterhood of the Bedazzling Pants and a Thelma & Louise Go-Kart track.
    • At the end of the episode, when Judy and Honeybee joins the boys to go to Whipple's Pickles, Judy hopes their Nickelback cover band, Picklesnack, is playing today. Wolf briefly sings a parody of "How You Remind Me".
Wolf: ♫ This is how you remind me of what I like to eat. Pickles. ♫
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: When the Tobin's plan to have one of their female friends to pose as Beef's fake wife falls apart because Wolf asked too many of them to come and they arrived at the same time, when they think Zelda sees through their deception, she believes that Beef married several other women in secret behind his wife's (who's being played by Jerry) back, and Beef just rolls with it and it's enough to convince Zelda to not marry him.

♫ Alphonso and Ned
We're off to fight the aliens
Though we might be ripped to shreds
It's time to man-doll up and leave the safety of our beds
We're not tough, we're cotton and fluff
And we're very, very flammable
We've never left our mom before
Will this be too much to handle?
This our time to shine
And that's why
We're on the front line
Alphonso and Ned, Alphonso and Ned
Alphonso and Ned. ♫
