It's Disaster Day at Lone Moose and this year's disaster proposal is a Jurassic Park-style dinosaur attack. Before the event, Wolf and Honeybee get into their first couple fight and Wolf needs to meet with Honeybee during the event to apologize to her. Honeybee is assigned to work as a hospital volunteer and has to deal with a real emergency when everyone starts vomiting. Moon is assigned to do administrative work which he finds boring, but later would like it. Beef reveals he doesn't know how to ride a bike, so Jerry teaches him how to.

Tropes:

  • Boring, but Practical: Because Moon’s Disaster Day proposal was accepted, he ends up as the chosen assistant to the mayor for the day, but his job turns out to be filing and organizing the fax reports from the “rescue teams” to help city hall facilitate communications with everybody else. Mayor Pepper explains that coordinating communications is key to any disaster rescue, as it helps people know what’s going on, where a hazard is, and who still needs help. Moon is initially disappointed with his assigned task, but he comes to enjoy it as the day goes by.
  • Couch Gag:
    • The boat in the opening is named Fleet Cute.
    • During the game night part, Wolf's T-Shirt says "American Fart Association" with a logo of a heart on it's side so that resembles a pair of buttocks with another logo of a gust of wind next to it.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Invoked. Since disasters are very common in Lone Moose, every two years they hold a Disaster Day, where the entire town participates in a simulation so they can be prepared for any event, no matter how unlikely. This year's disaster, suggested by Moon, is a Jurassic Park-style dinosaur attack.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: The yeti can be spotted peeking from behind a tree after Wolf and Cheesecake escorts Judy's group into their van after being chased by Londra in a dinosaur costume.
  • The Food Poisoning Incident: In the middle of the Disaster Day simulation, an actual disaster takes place in the form of food poisoning from a macaroni salad truck.
  • Learning to Ride a Bike: A minor subplot is Beef confessing he doesn’t know how to ride a bike to Jerry because of his parents’ absence and neglect as he was growing up, and Jerry deciding to teach him how. By the end of the episode, Beef is able to ride very slowly and is immensely enjoying it.
  • Lost Food Grievance: Jerry gets upset that Honeybee knocked the macaroni salad out of his hands, even though she saved him from food poisoning.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: Moon is at first disappointed that his job as assistant to the mayor consists of filing fax reports. After a while, however, he finds it fun and even sings a song about it.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title is a reference to "Killing Me Softly" by The Fugees, which is a cover song for "Killing Me Softly with His Song" by Lori Lieberman.
  • You Say Tomato: Wolf and Honeybee's fight is over the pronunciation of the first name of actor Cillian Murphy; Wolf has been pronouncing it as See-lian, while Honeybee uses the correct Irish pronunciation Kee-lian.

Honeybee:
♫ All you doctors get to the OR quick
Put the patient on the gurney, don't miss (Don't miss)
All you nurses start another IV drip
Charge the paddles while I yell stat, like that
'Cause he's having a heart attack
The line is flat, get back ♫

Everyone: ♫ Clear ♫
Honeybee:
♫ That's when I holler stat
Quickly, I need 50 cc's, no time for thank you or please ♫

Wolf: ♫ No time for thank you or please, please ♫
Honeybee:
♫ If someone stepped on a Hot Wheels track
The doctor comes running, and we'll fix it like that
Uh-oh ♫

Everyone: ♫ You know ♫
Honeybee:
♫ This patient's about to blow
So, I yell stat ♫

(monitor flatlining)
♫ Oh, snap
I guess it Honeybees like that. ♫
