After Cheesecake got drunk and took Teddy the bear, the town mascot of Ted's Folly, and it died in Maude's diner, and also took the mayor of Ted's Folly's motorcycle, Beef, Wolf, Honeybee, and Jerry try to get the bear and the motorcycle back to Ted's Folly before anyone notices. Meanwhile, while Ham and Moon try to retrieve Dagmar, Moon's security coconut, from a construction site before he's paved over, Judy fills in for both of them for Picture Day.

Tropes:

  • The Alcoholic: Cheesecake still asks for liquor at a diner that doesn't serve liquor even after a long bender.
  • All for Nothing: By the time Moon and Ham make it to the construction site to dig up Dagmar, the area had already been paved over with concrete.
  • All There in the Script: The full name of the Mayor of Ted's Folly is revealed in the credits as Ted Folly IV.
  • Blatant Lies: To prevent Councilman Roy from entering her diner and seeing Teddy, Maude tells him they're closed, but when he points out there are people inside, she tells them they're her waitstaff, but Roy doubts it since Beef is among them and he knows he's a fisherman. When Roy said he just wants his coffee, Maude said the coffee went bad because she threw up on it and she tells him to come back later. When Roy is finally allowed inside, he asks why is her new waitstaff is sitting and eating, Maude said she fired them all because they were having sex with each other.
  • Chase Scene: When the Tobins and Shaws are being pursued by Councilman Roy and Toby in their respective vehicles, Honeybee splits off from them to lure Roy and Toby away. Honeybee manages to lose Roy and Toby when Roy is forced to stop at a red light and Honeybee drives into a bakery truck to hide.
  • Clothing Switch: Judy & Crispin wears Moon & Ham's clothes in an effort to fill in for them while they skip school to collect their items from the construction site.
  • Continuity Nod: Wolf listing a bunch of crazy items on how to prevent Councilman Roy from finding out Teddy is in Maude's diner is something he did back in "From Tusk Til Dawn Adventure".
  • Couch Gag:
  • Crazy-Prepared: Wolf and Honeybee keep two pizza costumes in the family van's trunk in the event they get invited to a last-minute Halloween party. Honeybee suggests they wear the costumes as disguises so they can get close to hear Mayor Folly discuss Teddy's disappearance with the news reporter.
  • Disney Death: Wolf and Jerry find out that Teddy is still alive when he wakes up inside the Tobin's van.
  • Embarrassing Cover Up: Among the excuses Maude tells Councilman Roy to prevent him from finding out bear Teddy inside her diner, she said the coffee went bad because she threw up in it and she had to fire all her new waitstaff because they were having sex with each other.
  • Forgotten Anniversary: Mr. Golovkin forgets his one-year anniversary with Ms. Anderson, he's so desperate for dating advice that he's allowing Judy to stand-in for her brothers on picture day.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: After Judy gets her photo taken dressed as Ham, the scene cuts to Honeybee riding Mayor Folly's motorcycle, and at a brief moment, the yeti can be seen in the background as she's driving by.
  • Hidden Depths: Honeybee reveals she knows how to ride a motorcycle and has a motorcycle license because back in Fresno during high school, Motorcycle Drivers' Ed counted as PE for some reason.
  • Karma Houdini:
    • Cheesecake is unpunished for grand theft auto and the kidnapping of Ted's Folly's Mascot.
    • Ham & Moon are unpunished for truancy.
    • Judy is unpunished for assisting her brothers in committing truancy.
  • LGBT Awakening: Ham reveals the reason why he liked his tractor magazine is not because of the tractors but because a male model in the magazine was his first crush and that's when he realized he likes guys.
  • Noodle Implements: In order to stop Councilman Roy from finding out Teddy is in Maude's diner, Wolf said they're going to need electric razor, hydrogen peroxide, and some high-end counterfeit passports.
  • Oh, Crap!: Wolf and Jerry immediately freak out when they learn Teddy wasn't dead while they're still inside the family van with him, but they managed to get out before Teddy fully wakes up.
  • One Size Fits All: Moon's bear suit is revealed to be this when Judy needs to wear his suit to fill in for Picture Day, while the suit is stretched out, it's still able to fit Judy's body despite being taller than Moon.
  • Picture Day: When it's Picture Day at Lone Moose School and Ham and Moon have to go retrieve Dagmar, Judy fills in for both of them for their photo and Crispin fills in for Ham when Judy and Ham are supposed to get their picture together for "Best Siblings". Mr. Golovkin is aware of what Judy is doing since he's taking the photo, but he's letting it slide because he needs dating advice from her.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Mr. Golovkin immediately tells Judy that he isn't fooled by her disguises, but he agrees to photograph her as he has forgotten his anniversary and is asking her for dating advice.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title is a reference to A Beautiful Mind.
  • Pungeon Master: Mayor Folly loves to use puns in his speech.
Mayor: In light of Teddy's disappearance we're considering canceling today's Bear-Athlon for the first time in its 100-year history. I just can't bear the thought of breaking the hearts of all of today's paw-ticipants, it's too grizzly. And my motorcycle is also missing, I am both revved up about it and wheely-wheely sad.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure:
    • Chief Edna does not punish Moon & Ham for truancy after they explain to her that they are only skipping school to try and get their security items from the construction site.
    • Councilman Roy & Toby defends the Tobins & Shaws from Mayor Folly by pointing out that the bear is being kept illegally on his property, as he does not have the necessary paperwork. He asks Mayor Folly to forget this incident so that he will also forget the lack of paperwork.
  • Rules Lawyer: Because Councilman Roy is knowledgeable on all the Alaskan permits, he's able to get Mayor Folly to back off from the Tobins and Shaws by pointing out he doesn't have a permit to keep a bear on his property
  • Security Blanket: Dagmar is Moon's Security Coconut, he carved a face into a coconut and treated it like a twin brother, he was told to get rid of it when the coconut expired and started to smell.
  • Small Town Rivalry: Lone Moose has a rivalry with the town of Ted's Folly that originated 150 years ago when the wife of the Lone Moose's mayor threw a stuffed beaver at the wife of Ted's Folly's mayor leading to bad blood. This has caused the two towns to taunt & prank each other.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Moon and Ham borrow costumes from the drama club when going to dig up Dagmar; Moon is The Phantom of the Opera, while Ham is Audrey II.
    • The bread truck's title is a reference to Drop Dead Fred.
    • Part of the reason Mr. Golovkin is stressed out is because he accidentally killed Ms. Anderson's fish, Swimmy Gibbler.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: Moon hopes that Dagmar will be the Best Man at his wedding if Moon gets married "to someone. Not Quinn. I don't even have a crush on her."

♫ I was a young bear full of rage and livin' hard
Then you caught my eye across the mayor's yard
My mind was missing and my heart was nearly gone
And you climbed up on that motorbike and said, "Hey, man, hop on"
You can trap me in a cage but my heart, man, it's so free
The wind in my fur, my best friend right behind me
And there's a girl out there for me and I know I'll find her
And we'll keep on ridin' free
My best friend right behind her. ♫
Teddy

Maude Lying to Councilman Roy

To prevent Councilman Roy from entering her diner and seeing Teddy, Maude tells him they're closed, but when he points out there are people inside, she tells them they're her waitstaff. How well does it match the trope?
